Chapter 2 – Enjoying the life

The spring had been really and literally blooming in its full power and colours in the Forest. The sun was shining on the bright like ocean blue sky, with only a few clouds, on the newly green trees with the white, pink and yellow flowers blooming on its branches, the birdies were singing lovely melody, like the heralds of the spring itself, on the grassy meadows the blossoms of various kinds were blooming as well, rasping by the bees, the crystal clean water was floating in the rivers and streams, simply...nice spring day.

And just right in the Reds house at the edge of the Forest, which she was also sharing with her Granny by occasions, Red was in her room, sitting behind her deck in front of the mirror, being quite busy with makeuping a bit herself. As in that moment, Granny entered the room. "Red? What are you up to honey?" The old lady asked a bit surprised by actually seeing her granddaughter actually makeuping herself.

Also a bit surprised by her Grannys sudden appearance, letting out a low squeak, Red immediately covered her face with a bit embarrassment: "Eeehhh!...No-nothing, Granny. I have been just...eh..." She was stuttering a bit nervously.

However, Granny edged closer to her grand-daughter side, gently grabbed her shoulder by shifting the girl to face her, only quite for her awe to see Reds cheeks being nicely powdered with a pink colour, her algas being densely black and her lips painted with a red lipstick colour with a crystal shine, plus she also had fixed, combed her brown short hair and she smelled by sweet rose and vanilla perfume.

"My, my." Granny said out of both surprise and impression alike." Looks like, someone os playing on the...big lady, I see." She chuckled.

"Wha….Oh no, Granny!" Red exclaimed a bit embarrassed. "I have just...wanted to get myself beautiful a bit, you know. There is a beautiful spring day today, so I have wanted to fix myself a bit to it."

Granny smiled at her grand-daughter a bit deviously, gently playfully bumping Red shoulder. "Only, because of that, sweetie?"

Red sighed, knowing there was not point by trying. "Al right, Granny, you got me. It…it is about Wolf. He gave me a call yesterday in the evening and asked me, if I would like to...ehm...go out for today. So, I though I just might to fix myself up, to look well for that." The girl said by muttering sheepishly.

"Go out?" Granny asked surprised like actually starting to get an idea.

"Ehm..Yeah." Red chuckled in response. "Just go somewhere to hang out, or something like that." The young girl stated by taking sit on her bed.

Granny remarked playfully unable to supress her chuckle. "Ohhh! I get it. It is a date, is not it? Right?"

Red blushed by the Grannies rather very quirky mention. "What!? No, no, no! That is not like that, Granny. I have said, it will by just going out somewhere to hang out, like friends, that is it." Red protested yet feeling her heart slightly gaining on speed beating, with an odd sense of giddiness.

"Red….You are blushing." Granny remarked deviously and taking a seat on the bed right close beside the girl.

"No! No! No! It is just...ehm...I have powdered myself a bit too much. Yeah. That is it." She muttered in quite a desperate attempt to hide her true feelings and emotions, though failing miserably, unaware that the shades of red over her cheeks deepened even further.

Granny only chuckled once more in response. "Honey. Being your life long grad-mother and knowing you for all my life, you should better know very well that your granny, despite my age is still very bright and, out of all people knowing your moods the best. And right now, I can say, that maybe, just maybe something is going on between you and Wolf." The old lady spoke of in a way more gentler and softer tone. "You know, you can tell me pumpkin. So what is this all about?"

Red sighed softly by opening herself up with her feelings. "You know…..It is quite strange...Ever since we both settled our differences with the Hansel and Gretel case, I can feel, that we have started to have some, how shall I put it? Eghm…..Strange understanding of each other, that is how I could put it."

"It is strange really. Maybe it just might be because Wolf is actually an animal, that we both started to really work together as partners after he and Twitchy saved me from the Hench Pigs as well as going to your rescue and perhaps more, both learning and supporting and respecting each other, doing well on the missions together and also eventually becoming just more than partners….Friends. He has always seemed to know what I was going through, if I needed space or just wanted a chance to sit back, or even somebody I can count on or hang out, I just let him to get to me closer."

"Red, you sure like Wolf very much, do you?" Granny remarked softly by listening to her grand-daughters testimony carefully yet eventually getting an idea the old lady couldn't help but smile.

"Wolf is….Really great. I even don't know what I just would do without him and Twitchy back than with Hansel and Gretel as well as on all those missions we have been through yet." She said honestly, feeling a warming sensation tingling within her chest. "He actually..."

RING! RING! RING! RING! Out of the sudden, Reds cell phone started ringing on her table. Being caught completely by surprise, Red sprung herself from bead and instantly reached out for her phone and looked at its display, her deep blue ocean eyes widening a bit in awe. "Speaking of the Wolf." She flipped it open and placed over her ear. " Hey, Wolf. Whats up?"

"Hey, Red." Wolfs deep monotone voice called out right the phone. "So, are you ready? Can we go out?"

Red replied: "Ehm...Yeah. Sure, we can. But...exactly, where exactly do you want to go? Any specific place on mind."

"Meet me on the basketball playground, at the edge Forest. What about, we would meet there in half an hour?" Wolf replied from the phone, his voice sounding prompting and promising.

„Sure. Hey, anyone else coming?"

„Well, I am bringing Twitchy with me. And what about you? Want to bring Gran?"

"Yeah. Why not?"

"Okay. Then, see you later."

"See ya."

The line clicked from the other end as Red snapped her phone shut. „So?" Now Granny asked curiously, yet there was un undercurrent of quirkiness within old ladys voice. "Where do you guys intend to go out?"

"Wolf have has signed up for the basketball playground, at the edge of the Forest. He will bring Twitchy along. So, if would you like, you just could go along as well. Are you up to this Granny?" Red asked hopefully.

"Sure, I will come too." Granny said without any objections or second thoughts.

"Okay, then lets go." Red put the phone back into her pocket and headed to the door for an departure. "Can we take your bike?"

"Sure. Unless, you want to drive." Granny stood up yet remarking somewhat sarcastically.

After half an hour later Red and Granny finally arrived at the destination to the basketball playground on Grannys yellow motorbike with black stripes over. However, Granny was driving and Red was just sitting on the passenger seat behind the driver, holding herself over Grannys waist. The basketball playground, surrounded by a high cage-fence with right and left tribunes on both sides of it was located on the quite big glade of the Forest, with some snack and drink stands, and some bears, beavers, deer and porcupines guys were around. Evidently, Wolf and Twitchy were obviously long there as well, evident by Wolf own blue motorbike parked nearby.

"Well, Red." Granny stated as she started looking around in a hopes to locate their canine partner somewhere. "I know my old optics are not what it used to by anymore, but, so far….I cant see Wolfie and Twitchy anywhere. Hmm…..Might they forgot the time and that motorbike would by only the counterpart of Wolfs one." She was thinking.

"Well, Granny, I would not say so. As I know Wolf, I bet, that he is definitely around here somewhere and of course wearing some of his disguises." Red only smirked deviously as she turned around the playground, as she eventually saw Twitchy himself and also some quite tall, fuzzy basketball player, wearing a purple vest with a number "23", yellow shorts with a black strip up, yellow arm and leg protectors and odd light - brown hairstyle like a "bushes", practising some dribbling, rolling ball on the finger before hopping a bit and throwing the ball right in to the basket and he was doing it pretty good.

Granny asked surprised: "Red? Do you think, that that basketball player...?"

"Wolf? Yap. It is him." Red smirked deviously with a hint of sarcasm.

It actually wasn't that much surprise for Red for being partners with Wolf for over six years without already being able to guess her furry canine partners tactics and ways of arts of disguises and acting in order to gain information or fooling his enemies. Even in his free time when not being on a mission, Wolf was occasionally kept wearing disguises, either by just reminisce his old investigative journalism days or perhaps out of rather a hobby or at least out of a slight obsession.

Although his disguises seemed to be somewhat unorthodox or rather cheap at times, they actually and eventually proved itself useful and paying out on more than one occasion, as even Red herself gave Wolf credit for that.

"Hey Red! Granny! How are you doing?" Twitchy exclaimed joyously by his high pitch chipmunk like voice with its usual high yet moderated speech speed lever as he saw Red and Granny parking and taking off their bike and walking towards the boys.

"Well, that is enough, that you are already here, guys. That's so far just six baskets out of ten tries I put by doing so by trying to beat my score." The basketball player who of course and as Red guess it right was indeed no one else than Wolf himself as he kept dribbling his basketball ball.

"Hey, Wolf!" Red greeted her canine partner gleefully. "As usually taking your disguises a little bit over your head."

"Hey kiddo!" Wolf simply replied yet cheerfully slapping his large paw with Reds yet the same he did with Granny though in a way more manly like way. "Hey, Gran! How are you doing?"

"Hey, Wolfie! Its not that too much shabby for my old bones." Granny smirked playfully yet remarking still having this.

Twitchy, however on the other hand right then realized by checking Reds face a makeup the girl planted over his face. "Hey, Red. Is that...ehm...a makeup on your face?" the squirrel asked quite in awe.

"Um….Twitchy…." Red stammered incoherently quite in shock unaware of beeds of red blooming over her cheeks.

"So what, Red?" Wolf simply and seemingly indifferently remarked like thinking nothing over this. "You just look like…..Good."

"Echm...Thanks." Red muttered a bit nervous also with her cheeks turning into a shade or cherry in her face out of embarrassed smile. However, the girls tried to push those provoking feelings out of her head and rather trying to change the subject. "So, whats up, What have you exactly do you guys want to do, partner?" Red asked gently.

Yet, Wolf seemed to be quite grateful for having a fur covering his face as it actually hid as mall amount of blush the could feel be himself. Yet it actually wasn't his fault much, as Red unfortunately grew into a beautiful attractive young woman. Strangely more and more finding himself staring at her.

Yet shaking these provoking thoughts out of his head, Wolf managed to smile on the girl deviously and claimed a bit defiantly posture by dribbling and then rolling the ball on his finger. "Well, I was just wondering, that we could have a little basketball match, one on one. You and me, Red. What do you think."

Quite surprised Red, speechless for a while only open her mouth by amazement. "A basketball match?"

"Yup. And Granny would act as a judge while Twitchy would count our points, alright?" Wolf offered somewhat complacently.

"Being the judge of the basketball match? It will by my pleasure." Granny said charmed as a very extreme old lady evidently didn't seem upset about not taking her part on the match with Red and Wolf at all.

"Easy peasy, Wolf." Twitchy cheerfully pitched by actually also having nothing against Wolfs idea.

"Ehmm, Wolf?" Red asked curiously as she observed her canines partners dribbling skills and handling the ball almost like a real professional player in awe. "As I have been watching you, you are truly good in playing basketball, are you not?"

Wolf now replied a bit with a pride and put his paws on his hips: "Chm. Basketball is one of my favourite games. And besides, I am a great fan of "LOS ANGELES LAKERS", the basketball team playing for the National Basketball Association. In contrast, I often dreams, that I am one of them and I have been even a key player and reason of their great victory of the grand championship."

"Then you better should keep dreaming yet." Red remarked somewhat much sarcastically like.

"So, Red?" Wolf asked, his voice though sounding really defiant for a change. "Are we going to have a match?"

Red looked right into Wolfs eyes, her own ocean blue eyes were gleaming with determination. "If you want a match, Wolf...you got one!"

Wolf only smirked deviously by response "And bet the best wins!".

"You are on!" Red agreed by being up for a challenge, yet giving her partner a devious smirk of her own yet they both shook their hands.

And then, the time had come and by hearing about the upcoming match to come, both tribunes of the playground filled themselves by quite a number of animals like bears, goats, deer, porcupines, beavers and racoons as they were all looking forward, chatting, muttering and whispering among each other, the match one on one, till the 14 points, Wolf vs Red. Looks like, the great show was ahead to come.

Finally, both players, Red and Wolf, on the different sides of the playground came to the centre, their eyes full of determination and willingness, with Twitchy being ready on the top of the scoreboard, in order to count the points as the judge Granny came between both players holding a basketball ball and with a whistle on her neck, she lifted the ball above, as the game was about to being. "Quiet, please!" The old lady called out as in that moment, the crowd grew silent.

"Alright, males and females, cubs of all age, the basketball between Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf will now begin! The maximum points for each player is 14th. The match is automatically over, when one of the players will gain this top number of points then her or his opponent." Granny announced a bit enthusiastic.

"So, are you ready for this, Red?" Wolf asked her partner again defiantly.

The only words that Red replied, were: "Bring it!"

"Lets begin!" Granny yelled out with a loud whistle of her whistle and threw the ball high in to the air.

Thinking fast, Wolf leaped up from his post in an attempt to get the ball first. However, Red proved herself to be quicker and also by leaping up much higher in the process, the girl grabbed the ball first instead, much for Wolfs dismay. By landing back to the ground and with a speed dribbling Red headed right to the basketball basket on the right. Wolf was bolting right after her. With a soft growl the canine made a couple of swift jumps and therefore get right in front of Red by blocking her way quite for the girls awe.

"Going somewhere?" Wolf asked deviously as he stood between Red and the basket like a living wall.

Red while kept dribbling frowned a bit before smirking "To put the basket." She answered modestly. She grabbed the ball to the both her hands, leaped and gracefully jumped right over Wolf with a graceful somersault much for canines awe. She landed and while resuming her dribbling again she was getting closer to the basket though Wolf resumed his pursuit after her. And when she was quite close to the basket, Wolf could not hold her back in time as Red leaped again and throwing the ball right to the basket clear. "Oh yeah!" She yelled out enthusiastic.

"The basket!" Granny yelled out with an amazement. In that moment, enthusiastic and excited stage had started to yelling and cheering out: "Yeeaaahhhh! Red! Red! Go Red! Go!"

"That is my girl." Granny whispered to herself with a pride for her grand-daughter while Twitchy put 2 points for Red to the board. Red was in the lead now: "2:0"

Now it was Wolfs turn for a change. The canine run up right to the basket, taking the possession of the ball yet though instead of being outrageous complimenting brunettes effort. "Chmm. Well played, Red...for a girl playing a basketball."

"Thanks, Wolf." Red replied a bit charmed by her partners compliment. "But I doubt that helps you, if you will keep playing like that."

Wolf only grinned in response. "Wrong. I am just merely warming up right now. Just you wait."

The canine stormed to the basket on the left on the opposite side of the field dribbling his ball. The girl with a red hood was coming to face him in attempt to steal his ball, but Wolf offensively threw the ball away as it bounced right off the left side of the cage in order to avoid the contact with Red. Wolf passed Red and managing to grab the ball again and resuming his dribbling right to the basket.

However, Red once again leaped forward, bounced herself from Wolfs shoulders and with yet another graceful flip she got in front of her opponent. "Whats the rush?" The girl asked deviously by blocking the way.

"Actually...Not anymore. Check this one out." Wolf stated quite deviously, smirking as while still dribbling, the canine yanked himself a bit by stepping forward sharply. By reacting instantly Red lunged herself out by being ready and about to take the ball. However, Wolf quickly hoped backward by which me confused Red, the canine hoped up and threw the ball so sharply that Red could not react fast enough to block or cathc it. The ball was flying throughout air, over nearly the half of playground distance, before it hit the board and then fall right into the basket.

"The basket!" Granny yelled out again, but this also surprised and in awe this time. Astonished stage had been staring astonished by Wolfs effort, than they started whispering and chatting among each other and then, enthusiastic and excited, they started to yelling and cheering out, but this time for Wolf: "Yeeaaahhhh! Wolf! Wolf! Go Wolf! Go!" As to Red, Twitchy now put 2 points for Wolf to the board. The score between Red and Wolf was now settled: "2:2

Quite enthusiastic, Red had been speechless, for a while and had only been staring on the given basket a moment ago with her mouth wide open. Wolf released a triumphant like chuckle, being evidently more than impressed about himself. "Cha! Cha! So, what do you think?"

"Well…Wolf!" Red trailed out muttering incoherently by unable to supress her own amazement about the basket Wolf had just managed to get. " By giving a basket from such distance..." Yet, the girls expression though instantly shifted into a way more impressed one, smiling satisfied.

And so the match went on. Both players were playing really hard and on top of their abilities for quite half an hour, dribbling, evading each other, performing various tricks in dribble, jumping, throwing the ball, and giving the baskets one after second so and so on, plus a little pause. The score was equally increasing and setting, like 2:4, 4:6, 8:6, 8:8, 10:8 so and so as, as Twitchy had quite to do, to keep up putting the points. Plus the absolutely astonished and excited stage on the both sides of the playground were really enjoying the match and yelling and cheering out for both players: "Yeeaaahh! Red! Go Wolf! Go! Yeeaahh! Red! You can do it! Go! Go Wolf! Keep it up! Yeaahh!" something like that. In fact, although Red was playing very well on her own and keeping up, she had to admit, that Wolf was much better player, than she though at the first time...and he actually gained her respect.

Actually, they did not mind though the whole game or who is going to gain more points and win the match. It was just nice enough to just be here with each other as friends and hanging out. Finally, the score was eventually settled to 12:12, and in fact, Twitchy was quite exhausted from all that putting the points, panting fewerishly as both Red and Wolf came to the centre of the playground, both players staring at each other rivalry, inwardly daring each other who of them would win the game as the judge Granny came between the players with a basketball ball again.

"And now,...the final battle, the score 12:12, will decide about the winner of this game now!" Granny announced as both, Red and Wolf, prepared for one final match, their eyes full of even more determination and willingness then before, the excited and astonished stage, one side supporting and cheering for Red while the second one for Wolf, were keeping their fingers crossed for both players, Twitchy ready to put the final point number 14 for one of the players, and after a little while of silence it all came up like a balloon being full and unable to take any more of helium intake, eventually popping up in the process.

"Lets go!" Granny yelled out with a loud whistle of her whistle and threw the ball in to the air.

This time, Red leaped up after the ball in order to get this first. However being alert and reacting much quicker Wolf leaped right after her and much to Reds dismay the canine grabbed the girls left leg right in the mid-air before pulling her down back to the ground, making her crouch a bit by doing so in the process before leaping after the ball himself and grabbing.

Wolf landed on the ground and by smirking deviously on Red he also started rolling the ball on his finger to flaunting himself a bit. Red stood up, instantly to face him. With a lighting speed the girl swung her right arm and springing the ball right from Wolfs paw, now for Wolf awe.

Red and Wolf then started fighting with on each other over the ball by pushing and stepping over each other, struggling, flapping and sparing their hands around in order and whoever gets the ball from each other, dribbling, evading and grabbing the ball from each other. Eventually, the Wolf took the ball and jumped away with it. Red leaped up after him in order to get ball from him. Wolf then denied quite a malicious view and smile to her, more to her awe, yet the girl remained cautious whatever her canine partner was up to.

In the instance Wolf started dribbling the ball repeatedly from one paw to second one so quickly and steadily gaining on speed as it nearly looked like he would be dribbling with a numerous balls at once in such speed as the ball almost resembled more like a dark orange blur. Though confused and slightly dazzled for a moment, Red didn't lost her focus, watching the ball cautiously as she eventually swung her right hand and smashing the ball from Wolfs dribbling cycle again, this time for Wolfs big surprise, to wash his malicious look away.

The ball hit and bounced from the cage fence and this time, Red get its possession and jumped away. And also by repeating Wolfs action early, Red denied proud devious smile on canine and started rolling the ball on her own finger. Wolf instantly stormed to face her as he intended to grab the ball from the right, but Red dribbled it away. The canine then he tried it from the left, but he missed again before that time trying from the high in a vertical motion, only for Red avoiding him with a dribbling again skilfully.

Then she leaped a bit, swiftly swung and she attempted to throw the ball to the basket from a big distance, like Wolf did early. However, Wolf was on the watch this time as he made several swift jumps, catching and blocking the ball right in the mid-air, grabbing it. Yet Red by appearing right in front of Wolf once again instantly smashed the ball right out of Wolfs possession.

The ball bounced from the cage fence again, bouncing itself from the ground as Red and Wolf came to the ball and once again started fighting for it all over again really hard and that time with a real deployment in order to get the ball, pushing on each other, waving and fencing with their hands over the possession of the ball, dribbling, evading and grabbing the ball from each other so and so on all over again. Actually, for a while it had been quite intense and exciting, as the entire crowd stared at the duo with excitement and their breaths held, wondering how this would all end up.

In a moment, Wolf, with a snarl, finally managed to get the ball from Red and stormed from her right to the basket. Red stormed after him, but this time, Wolf was moving more faster than before. And then something amazing happened and like all time froze in a moment as well as the world in the instance also slowing down:

By gaining all his strength Wold leaped up on top of his abilities with the ball in his paws high into the air when it looked he would be almost...levitating and yet even performing a flip right in the mid-air, as the whole stages, Red, Granny and Twitchy were just staring this with an amazement, speechless, only with their mouths wide opened. Wolf then attempted to give the basket from the air in this levitation like position. But unfortunately for his dismay, by wrongly judging the distance as the basket was still farther then he supposed. Quite frantic yet trying to improvise, Wolf did the last, improvised move, as that way, the canine sharply swung the ball and threw it right to the basket while still in the mid-air. Unfortunately not having enough time to brace himself, Wolf eventually hit the ground of the hard concrete basketball field hard with a loud "PHHUUTTT!" literally like a bag of cement.

The entire stages gasped yet Red, Granny along with Twitchy unfortunately clenched their teeth about Wolfs disposition. That's gonna hurt. Wolf, though quite hardly, a bit with his bones cracking, he managed to lift his head up, watching the ball hitting and bouncing right from the baskets platform yet rolling right over the round edge of the basked several times as it was about either fall in or miss. Yet though and much for Wolfs dismay and frustration the ball eventually missed, falling down and bouncing the ground. "OOOOOOHHHH!" The entire stage gasped out shocked and being totally stunned about what had just transpired.

"Eeehhhhh!...I do not think he have seen that move before." Granny announced also shocked and stunned about the move the Wolf had just performed although failing in the process. Groaning in frustration and by feeling the strength in his shoulders fading Wolf drop back to the ground.

"Wolf!" Red called out freaked out and immediately though a bit frantically rushed her way right to Wolfs side run to his side. "Wolf! Please! Say something!" The girl pleaded as she started to shake with Wolfs limp frame.

"Cheez, Red! You are just gonna shake the soul out of my along with all the flees from my fur." Wolf grumbled uneasily and although hardly, but after all he lifted his head up to her and said: "Ehhrrmh! Too bad, that canines unlike cats just cant fall on all their four." Wolf remarked sarcastically, evidently despite his shaken pride, his trademark sense of humour remained intact.

"You will be just fine, bigguy." Red sighed in a relief, judging from her partners attitude that despite his shaken pride, knowing that Wolf would be just fine, as the girl shared a reassuring glance with both Granny and Twitchy.

"Come on, Red." Wolf than though called out with a decisiveness and boldness returning to him as he struggled to stand up. "Lets finish the game."

"Are you sure, Wolf?" Red muttered quite in disbelief. "You have just fallen from almost 7 meters height and hitting the hard concreted surface and yet having difficulties to move on yet let alone stand up! Do you really want to go on right now?" She was wondering, concern being vocally present in girls voice.

"Baahhh!" Wolf snorted. "The fall like that, will just not take my down so easily." He said headstrong and tried to get up "Lets do this!"

Red, still a bit stunned, yet then sighing quite seriously as well as in a somewhat defeated like manner. "Good. If this is really the way you want it, then...You got it! I am just going to finish this all right now." Red then stormed to the ball, grabbed it and by dribbling she passed the sore Wolf who yet made it on kneeling like position yet though the canine couldn't react just in time as Red made her way right to the second basket, the girl hoped and swiftly threw the ball to the basket with a little groan by doing so, as the ball flew through the air, hit the board and then it fall right to the basket, to Wolfs absolute shock and dismay.

"The final basket!" Granny yelled out with an amazement. "The winner of this match is Red Riding Hood!"

In that moment, the full enthusiastic and excited stage had started to yelling, cheering and acclaiming for a winner, Red: "Yeeaaahhhh! Red! Your are the best! Red! Yeeeaaahhhh! The winner! Go Red! Go! Yeeeaaahhhh!" And Twitchy finally put the point number14 for Red to the board – 14:12, Winner: Red.

"That girl is really all over me." Granny whispered for herself, pride over her grand-daughter being vocally present. The old lady then closed her gap between herself and Red and hugging her. "You did it, honey! You won!" She was cheering for her with a smile. Red was also proud for herself as she gave Grannys hew own hug on the fullest.

Then she looked over Wolf, who already managed to get up from the ground, though hardly and with a slight limping made his way to girls. Red broke from Grannys hug and went across to him. "Ehm, Wolf?" Red asked her partner a bit uncertainly "How do you feel?"

"That wasn't fair! I wasn't ready yet! Chmm….And being beaten by the girl…." Wolf though barked aloud as being apparently upset a bit about the loose. Yet though and somewhat, the canines expression eventually softened itself a bit with a coy smirk forming over his snout. "However...that was yet the greatest basketball match one on one, that I have been playing with for quite a while."

Quite surprised about her partners change of demeanour , Red also couldn't help but smile cheerfully. "I must say, you have really surprised me there, Wolf. You are indeed a very good player as well as having some good moves with the ball." Red complimented her partners players skills and punching him softly to his shoulder.

"Chmm. You weren't that bad on your own Hood." Now Wolf complimented the red hood riding girl and also punching her softly to her shoulder with his large pay. "You play basketball well...for a teenager."

"Chmmm. I will take it as a compliment." And they even more slapped their hands each other with joy.

„That was, AWESOME, Wolf! The great match!" Twitchy was cheering out for his long time former boss, partner and actually the best friend.

"You have been plying even better just almost any athlete I have ever competed with, Dog." Granny had to give a credit by complimenting Wolf and his basketball skills. "A nice move back there. A little more practice and you might be up for something cool."

"Thanks Gran." Wolf only smirked also deviously as being charmed by Grannies compliment yet out of the sudden the canine sharply recoiled and clutched over his aching back as a jolts of pain still remained echoing, evident by the hard impact by some of his yet unfortunate move back during the match.

„You okay?" Red asked, a genuine concern being vocally present in her voice over her partners wellbeing.

"Oouuch! But, I have just really deserved so much to myself." He was whining and complaining, clutching over his aching back yet keeping it on his legs. „Granny will have to remedy and spread me in the evening. I am sure gonna need some bandage."

Red had been staring, yet the girl could help herself but chuckle as she comforted Wolfs right arm so he could lean over her: „Come on, pup. Lets take some drink, shall we?"

Wolf smiled also and remarked: „Good idea. I am really thirsty from that match anyway. You are actually lucky. Because of you had won, I am paying this time. Unfortunately." He remarked playfully.

Red only smiled playfully in response: "Chmm. Fine by me."

But in that moment, for all Reds, Wolfs, Grannies and Twitchys surprise, the crowd of excited and amazed people from the stage run right on the playground with the cameras flashing and making photos and also with some papers, blocks and pencils seeking autographs. "Yuuuchuuu! Red! You rock! Yeeaaahh! Go Wolf! You are awesome, man! Lets make some photos of you, please? Can you give us some autographs, please! Come oooonn!

Red and Wolf stared in quite an utter shock on the cheering crowd, but they eventually smiled on each other: "Chmm, looks like we will be soon popular, hood." Wolf smirked.

"So be it, blessed admirers." Red remarked grinning and shrugging her shoulders.

"Well, lets give them, what they want." Wolf stated as they started writing and giving out their signatures maybe for dozens of excited and enthusiastic fans, which quite showed itself as a hard job in fact.

There also had been lots of photographing with a flash. And in the moment when couple of photographs attempted to make a photo, Red and Wolf were prepared with a joyful smiles in their faces, with Wolf even hugging Red with his paw keeping her close, as Red even triumphantly pointed her fingers into a V like insignia for "victory", although feeling herself somewhat awkward by being this close to her partner, yet thinking nothing much of it.

"Say Cheese!" Twitchy cheerfully exclaimed as the squirrel out of the sudden emerged right out of nowhere and with a dazzling flash of his camera making one nice picture of both Red and Wolf as the pair got a bit dazzled in the process, yet Twitchy giggled playfully. Red and Wolf looked at the little squirrel provocatively, yet they both laughed as well hilariously by the act.

To be continued….
