Chapter3

It had been three months since Palpetine had been killed and the clone wars had spiralled out of control. Although Supreme Chancellor Amidala had managed to secure several new allies and talked a few systems into leaving the separatist and re-join the republic. Ahsoka and her new battalion the 214th attack battalion had received a reputation for being the first ones in and the last ones standing. They had proved themselves time and time again and the battalion was proud of their general and she was proud of them.

Ahsoka stood on the bridge of her flagship the huntress, the huntress was a new ship and sate of the art, she was designed to have a duel role as both a diplomatic vessel and a combat vessel. As a result the Huntress had two extra decks both of which were designated for diplomatic guests and functions. she was on a routine patrol and Ahsoka was board she began to think *Wow I can't believe it's been three months since I was promoted and Padme became supreme chancellor* then her thoughts drifted to Obi-wan *I wonder what obi-wan is up to know Probably negotiating with another enemy and finding a way to stop this with just words* she thought happily it was times like this that Ahsoka's thoughts drifted to her lost master she still mourned for him in her own way and she took comfort in the fact that he had joined the living force. Just then her thoughts were broken as she heard Commander Stealth clear his throat.

Commander stealth wore the standard phase 2 clone armour but his was decorated with the same design as Ahsoka facial markings. They were painted on his chest plate in purple. He had two stripes running down the length of his armour from the top of his helmet to the bottom of his boots. The lines were partially covered by his half kilt he wore round his waist which held his blasters and designated that he was a commander. As he stood behind Ahsoka he had his helmet under his arm. He had black hair and an obi wan style bearded.

"Sorry to disturb you General but the Jedi council has asked to speak with you" he said standing to attention as he spoke.

"That's fine stealth" Ahsoka said with a smile she was still getting used to being called general. She walked passed Stealth and up to the holo table. Once she got there she saw her admiral, Admiral Jenner Long was a young women with a thin yet strong frame and long blonde hair tied in a single ponytail. She had been promoted to admiral around the same time Ahsoka had been made a general and as a result had grown close, Jenner was loyal only to Ahsoka and she had been known on a couple of occasions to ignore orders from anyone else.

"Masters" Ahsoka said bowing her head.

"General Tano the council wants you to return to Coruscant you are to escort the supreme chancellor and Senator Chu-chi to negotiations with a colony of Togrutars who want to join the Republic" the hologram of Plo koon said simply.

"Yes Maters" was all Ahsoka said as she nodded to her admiral who ordered the ship home. With the Huntress on her way the council vanished and Ahsoka turned to Stealth "So what do you think?" she asked.

"Well Sir New allies are always great as long as those senate guards don't get in my men's way it will be fine." Stealth said plainly he and Ahsoka had a way of talking that was more direct and truthful yet respectful. Stealth had always been a rebellious clone and his personality matched Ahsoka perfectly.

"I'll keep them out of your hair don't worry " Ahsoka said with a smile "Although the chancellor isn't exactly one to let others fight for her, back when she was a senator she got into more fire fights and battles than anyone other senator" She added.

"Finally a politician who has some actual fighting experience and knows what it's like" Admiral Long said it was well known that she didn't like politicians she found them to pampered and clueless when it came to the welfare of clones and soldiers in this war. They seemed to be more concerned with securing their own wealth and living their lives of luxury. Although she had to admit under the new supreme chancellor she had noticed an improvement and the fact that several corrupt senators had been found out and replaced.

Ahsoka nodded "any way this should be an interesting mission" she said as she left the bridge "I'll be in the hanger if you need me" she called back.

Crouscant space

The huntress dropped out of hyperspace just above Crouscant and began the decent on to Crouscant. This was the part everyone hated the huntress was a larger vessel than most and she was difficult to manoeuvre in orbit. But after a little while she landed in the ship yard ready to receive the chancellor. Ahsoka stood by the exit ramp Stealth on her right and Long on her left when the ramp descended it reviled Supreme Chancellor Padme Amidala and senator Riyo Chuchi. The where flanked by six senate guards and Stealth rolled his eyes. Ahsoka walked down the ramp to greet the chancellor followed by her two officers. "Chancellor, senator" she said with a bow of her head.

Padme smiled and hugged her "Ahsoka how many times have I told you, you don't have to bow and call me chancellor every time you see me" she said kindly.

"Thanks" Ahsoka said "Padme let me introduce you to Commander Stealth and Admiral Long" she said as she gestured to each officer

"Ma'am" Stealth said respectfully

"Chancellor" Long said bowing her head slightly.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both" Padme said as she started up the ramp Ahsoka close behind. Riyo stopped and handed Stealth a credit, stealth looked confused "I believe I owe you that from our last poker game" she said as he headed up the ramp. Stealth smiled as he remembered. Senator Chuchi often came down to the barracks on Coruscant to talk and mingle with the clones and play a few card games.

Stealth took his helmet off and smiled warmly at her. Before he brought out a small bracelet "You left this under my bed" he said softly Riyo just smiled and accepted the bracelet.

Ahsoka was no fool and neither was Padme they knew Riyo was seeing stealth and they didn't care. Ahsoka learned that when a solider has someone to fight for they fought even harder. Likewise Padme thought this as well that was why she had instigated knew laws that allowed clones to marry and have children if they wished. Once every one was on-board The Huntress took off and headed for their destination...

AN: Another chapter up sorry it took me so long to update, my lifer ahs been hectic. I'm also sorry that the first few have been boring but I'm trying to introduce the characters and give you an idea of what their like. Anyway as always please review. I'll be posting two Chapters today to try and make up for the very long absence.
