A/N: Howdy, ladies and Gents! It's your Friendly Neighborhood Author here with a stylish new chapter. Now I'm pretty sure guys have been noticing all the various editing I've done to my last chapter. Ya see, that's because I saw a whole bunch of things that needed to be fixed, like Dante being Qrow's apprentice. And to AccelHokage, a reader/reviewer, I would just like give you a special thanks for opening my eyes to the truth about Dante, and that from now on I shall stick to the facts. Anyways, on with the show.

Mission 02: Uncovered

When Cinder had lost the fight to Raven she thought it was all over for her. But as she was drowning in the lake, her eyes finally opened. When she realized what was going on, she couldn't breathe. Then she made her good eye glow, and by some miracle, made it to the surface, and gasped for air. After she crawled out of the lake, she tried to use her powers to warm herself, but all she got was a small flicker of sparks.

'Dammit' She thought as she slammed her Grimm hand into the ground. And then something happened, a crack came through the cave, that was it, her way out! Then she looked up to see the vault, and saw that the trees petals were still glowing. And then she started punching her way out.

After walking out, she fell to her knees, and then, flat on her belly, she was too weak to use her powers at the moment, so the only thing she could do was find a way to make it up to Salem. 'Besides' she thought to herself, 'I have some business to attend to before I can truly carry out the plan.' was something she thought she could do before she lost.

"Gods, are you okay?" Asked a concerned woman she did not recognize.

"Where did you-?" she was about to ask, but then she saw cinder's left arm. Then she gasped, and dropped the basket of groceries she was holding, then Cinder looked up at the Unnamed woman, and made her eye glow.

Meanwhile, After looking around the crashed train for more supplies they could use, Ruby found the Lamp of knowledge.

"Great this is just great." said a struggling Yang, while digging her bike, Bumblebee form a bunch of Snow. "We're stranded, we lost a third of our party, and we have gained a defenseless old lady." She said after attempts of pulling her bike out. Then she finally did, but as a result, she landed on her butt, and then Bumblebee tilted and fell back into the snow.

"Hey! Only I'm allowed to call her stuff like that." Dante said after helping her up.

"Keep telling yourself that Dante." Maria said.

"My name is Maria Calavera, and I am not defenseless." She denied. "I'm just little hard of hearing, and blind without my eyes, that are in desperate need of repair." And then Dante walked over to her, and told her "So you have Broken Prosthetic eyes, a cane, a shortened height, and a snippy sense of humor, sounds like to me you are defenseless, Hag"

"For the last time, stop calling me that!" She said in an annoyed tone. But then she asked "Why do you keep calling me that anyways?" Then Dante replied with a cheeky grin "Because I know you hate it."

"Okay I'm starting to see your points, both of yours." She said as she pointed her cane at both Dante and Yang.

"Yang, Dante, Knock it off will ya?" Qrow asked "If we lose our cool now we'll just be inviting even more Grimm." He told her.

"Does that even matter?" Blake asked.

"Apparently we've been attracting Grimm since we left Haven." She said accusingly.

"Oh and how could we forget about that, what happened to no more lies and half-truths?" Yang asked, upset about knowing what the lamp could do to Grimm.

"Yeah, I think it's about time we all got an explanation." Oscar said, annoyed Ozpin didn't even tell him about the Lamp. Then he switched the controls on over to Ozpin.

"Y'Know, I always wondered how that whole switcharoo thing worked when Ozpin took his turn with his hosts." Dante said.

"Well Dante, now you know." Ozpin told him.

"I did not lie to you." Ozpin tried to explain. But then Weiss interrupted and said "Well you certainly didn't tell us everything about the relic."

"Please, now is not the time." Ozpin reasoned.

"Oz, I'm pretty sure these guys aren't in are reasoning mood, I think now is a time more than ever to tell them some answers." Dante said, then Ozpin sighed and said "Very well."

"It is true that the Grimm are attracted to the relics." he began to explain "It's faint, but undeniable. I believe it has something to do with their origin, but I'm not entirely sure. Regardless I feared that making you all aware would only add anxiety and negativity. It seemed like the safer option."

"I appreciate your concern Oz, but I'm pretty sure they would have tried to get more answers if there wasn't a Grimm attack today." Dante said with his arms crossed.

"I suppose you're right, Dante." Ozpin replied.

"Y'know, I'm getting real tired of people choosing what's best for me." Weiss said, annoyed at Ozpin's explanation.

"Is that why you chose to lie to everyone about lionheart too?" Yang asked in an accusing tone.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I believed the kingdom of Mistral deserved better than the truth." Ozpin replied, getting angry at what Yang was getting at. " And I believed Leonardo deserved to be remembered for his lifetime of service, and not the unfortunate missteps he made in his final years." Dante understood, even though Lionheart made a deal with Salem, he was still a good man, despite the things he did in his final years as headmaster of Haven.

"Missteps?!" Yang shouted.

"What Professor Lionheart did was reprehensible. I am not here to argue differently." Ozpin said. Then Dante told him "Never said ya were."

Then Ozpin gave a thankful nod to Dante's direction and said "Thank you Dante, as I was saying, does one lapse in judgement truly negate all of his good? Do we not all have regrets?"

"You may have met Professor Lionheart, but you never met the man he was before Salem found him." He told them, as he remembers all the good times he had with Leo before he met Salem.

"I'm gonna have to side with Ozzy on this one folks." Dante told them, Everyone threw a surprised look his way and he said "You guys didn't know Leo like me and Oz did. And it's because of those two that we're actually here right now."

"You're actually taking his side?" asked a surprised Yang, then Dante just said "Yes, because honestly, I know him better than any of you guys do. And no offense Qrow, but I probably know him even better than you ever did." everyone gasped in shock and surprise by his little speech, but Qrow just waved his hand and said "Non taken." He said back. "But seriously, why didn't Oz tell us any of this?" Qrow whispered to himself.

"Look we're supposed to be in this together. You can trust us. We're not just gonna turn our backs on you." Yang said.

"Do you really think Leo was the first?!" Ozpin half-screamed.

Then there was a moment of silence, then everyone began to wonder what he meant, even Dante. Was he betrayed in the past? Did someone he trusted a whole lot just give up on him?

Then he said "That he didn't say those exact same words to me?"

"I'm sorry, but you have to understand that my behaviors are backed by experience." He explained. "I'm not saying that I have reason to think you will betray me. I'm saying that I have reasons for the things that I do. The secrets I keep. The reason I… Where's the relic?" he asked.

"Not sure, I was bit busy takin' care of some Grimm, and lookin' good while doin' it." Dante said.

"Right here." Ruby said all the way from the back. Then she held it up in it's shrunken form, and said "It got scattered in the crash." "Good scavenging, little red." Dante complimented. "Thanks, Dante." Ruby replied with a small smile.

"Please, hand it over." Ozpin asked with an outstretched hand, but then Dante intervened "Uh Oz, I'm not sure everyone else here thinks that's such a good idea." Then he spread his arms out to show everyone's expressions, and they were unsure if it would be safe in Ozpin's hands.

"I understand Dante, but I only wish to ensure the relic's safety." Ozpin told him.

"So all those times you talked about having faith in humanity, that was just for everyone else?" Ruby asked him.

Ozpin sighed and said "That's not what I meant to suggest. Miss Rose the relic is a powerful item and simply feel as though it is my burden to bear."

"But you said it couldn't do anything right now." She said. Then Blake stepped up and asked "Why does it matter who carries it?"

"Okay, let's all just take a deep breathe and maybe at least try to focus on something else now." Dante said, trying to assuage the situation. But then Weiss walked up to him and said "Oh really, well what about you Dante? Hmm? How do you know so much about the Relics?" "Someone apparently didn't learn how to mind her own business back in Huntress grade school." Dante Said in a snarky tone.

"Enough! Oz what exactly do you mean it's powerful when you it can't do anything?" Qrow asked after breaking up the tension.

"I need you to listen to me-" he said, but was interrupted when Oscar tried to regain control.

"Oz?" Qrow asked.

"Hurry, He's trying to stop you." Oscar warned.

"Stop her from what?" Yang asked, wanting to know what he means.

"He's afraid, you'll find what he's… hiding." Oscar said, while struggling to keep control.

Then, without warning, he fell to his knees. "Whoa Oscar, you okay there Pipsqueak?" Dante asked in a concerned tone.

"I'm fine Dante, but it's getting difficult to stay in control." He said warily. "Her name is Jinn. Say her name to summon her." He said to Ruby.

"Well you heard the kid little red." Dante told Ruby.

"Her name?" she asked, wondering how that works. Then suddenly, the wind picked, up, with Qrow and Ruby's cloaks waving in the wind, and Dante's coat flapping all around.

Then Ruby looked down at the lamp, and said "Jinn."

Then something strange happened, time seemed to stop, like everything around them was just frozen. Then suddenly, the relic of knowledge just started floating around with a strange blue mist seeping out. "Well that's something ya don't see everyday." Dante commented. And then, a blue skinned woman with a strange outfit appeared in a flash of light, Qrow looked away, but Dante was still looking, she has thigh-length, dark blue hair,pointed ears, dark blue colored lips, and her eyes were strange, Her irises were blue, but her scleras were black. She's wearing golden chains around her waist, chained wrist bands, chained leg guards, a golden headband, and golden chains around her neck. "Wonderful." Jinn said, happy to finally be able to stretch her legs.

Everyone was completely in shock from the way she just appeared, and that she's actually real, Ruby mostly. Then suddenly, everybody heard a Wolf Whistle in the back "Well hello there beautiful." Dante said flirtatiously. Then Jinn giggled and said "Right back at ya handsome."

Then she looked down to ruby and asked "Now, what knowledge do you seek?"

Meanwhile, back in Mistral, Cinder, dressed in the robes of the woman from earlier, was walking down a road, trying to find a safe way out of the city. Then she saw that she and her posse, along with Hazel were on the news, and marked as fugitives. She gave out a small growl put up her hood. And continued her trek through town.

Then she saw something on a wall, it looked like a spider on a web, but it was actually a symbol. She soon entered a pub, were there was people chit-chatting the night away. Then she approached a woman who looked like the one in charge.

"That's far enough." she said in a dangerous tone. Then her lackeys got up from their seats, But Cinder just took out a bag of lien, and threw it on the table.

"Okay" Said the woman, then called back the boy and girl that was watching her six.

Then Cinder sat down in the chair in front of her and asked "You're Lil' Miss Malachite?" "I'm Lil' Miss Gon'-Skin-You-Alive if you ever take that tone with me again." The now named Miss Malachite warned.

"Looks like your life savings." She said after looking at the amount of Lien Cinder had in her sleeve.

"It was somebody's." She said, thinking about that some woman she 'Borrowed' her robes from.

Then Miss Malachite gave out a chuckle and said "Cute." Then asked "What do ya want for it?"

Then Cinder placed her scroll on the table, turned it on and said "I'm looking for these travelers." as she swiped through pictures of Teams RWBY and JNPR.

"Well sweetheart, you came to the right place." Miss Malachite said in a welcoming tone.

Then Cinder gasped in surprise as she heard some commotion from the front, and jumped in surprise, and saw that it was just a couple of idiots messing around.

Then Miss Malachite chuckled and asked "A little jumpy today, hmm?"

"Y'know I used to be afraid of spider." She explained. "Wanna know what I did about it?" She asked.

"Learn to kill them?" Cinder deadpanned.

"Oh no, the world needs spiders." Miss Malachite replied. "I just made the spider's work for me."

Then Cinder took a look around, noticed all the spider tattoos on everyone, which pretty much proved Miss Malachite's point.

"Give us a week. We'll find your travelers." She negotiated. Then Cinder just put her hands on the table, sat up with the chair sliding back, glared at Miss Malachite, and took her leave, without saying another word.

Then the girl on Miss Malachite's left said "Lil' Miss, we already know where they are. That big guy asked about 'em last week." "I know we know, but what we don't know is who her in Mistral might be asking about her." She replied.

Meanwhile, with Dante and the gang, Maria was adjusting her bionic eyes to check if she wasn't 'Seeing' things (See what I did there?).

"I am Jinn." Obviously. "A being created by the God of Light to aid humanity in it's pursuit of knowledge." She explained. I've been graced with the ability to answer three questions every 100 years. (Like in Aladdin, how Genie is able to grant three wishes to whoever rubs his lamp.) You're in luck, as I'm still able to answer-" "That's enough!" Ozpin shouted. Then there was silence, as everyone turned to look at him.

"Actually Oz, I wanna see where this is goin', be right with ya." Dante said with a playful smile.

"Two questions this era." Jinn finished.

Then Dante walked up to Jinn and explained "Sorry 'bout him, we've all been on little edge lately, and for some reason, he doesn't wanna spill the beans."

"Non taken." She said. "But it was a little rude." She added.

Silence was in the air again, as Ozpin looked down, and everyone looked at him with equally surprised expressions, 'cause Ozpin never ever screams, ever. And if he just did, then that must mean something going down.

But then Jinn chuckled, crossed her arms, and said "It's a pleasure to see you again old man."

"Ruby, please. Don't." He pleaded, hoping that Ruby wouldn't ask what's going on.

'Well she's going to anyway.' Dante thought. 'They always do.'

"Hey." Qrow said, getting everyone's attention, they all just pointed their weapons at him, except for Dante and Ruby, of course.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, ladies, ladies, ladies!" Dante said walking in between them. "What's with the sudden hostility towards Qrow? He didn't do anything." Then Qrow put his hand on Dante's shoulder. "Thank you, Dante. Just do whatever you think is right kiddo." He said to Ruby.

"Jinn?" Ruby asked. Then turned around to face her.

And after another (Big Shocker) moment of silence, Ruby looked up to Jinn, and asked "What is Ozpin hiding from us?" "No!" Ozpin yelled from behind. Ruby turned around with a gasp as he ran for the relic of knowledge.

"Oz, What are you dong?!" Dante asked frantically.

Just as Ozpin was gonna grab the relic, everything disappeared into a strange white background.

"Wha-What?" Ruby wondered, then she tried calling out to everyone. "Weiss, Yang?"

And Yang was having the same problem. "Blake?!" She yelled

Same for Weiss. "Ruby?" she called out. "Ruby?"

Blake too. "Yang, Dante?"

Then Dante came into view. "Yo, Qrow, c'mon, anybody, I don't care who, just somebody, say somethin'!"

Then Jinn's voice was heard from above, and then she started… Telling a story? "Once upon a time" she began, as a castle began to form from out of nowhere. "There stood a lonely tower, that sheltered a lonely girl." Then suddenly, the form of a young, blonde haired woman came into view, sitting in front of a mirror. She has fair skin, Jade green eyes, and a light blush on her cheeks. She was wearing a whitish blue dress, with a purple and brown waist guard, brown arm guards, a blue tunic underneath the dress with a blue diamond shaped gem in the center, and crescent shaped earrings. "Named, Salem."
