Sweet Christ in Hades I'm sorry for the long wait but I actually forgot about this story for the longest time because school and talking with friends and family, I'm sorry for that and hopefully you haven't forgotten about the story (I wouldn't put it past you guys I went back to read it all) anyway let's do this.
At the Hanger
Alright, bags with uniforms, underwear, I'm wearing my boots I think I'm ready. I thought to myself,
"Hey Sum, am I missing anything?" I whispered.
"Hold on a moment, when did I become your equipment checker?" He angrily whispered
"Just do it, come on I have to look professional" I said pleadingly
he grumbled to himself as I felt movement in my bags
"thanks, Alysum" I said cheerfully
"next time have your followers do your dirty work Janu- I mean Jane" he said
"if I did they would probably steal something" I remarked
"You're good to go" he said
"see, now that wasn't hard" I said
"what wasn't hard?" Someone behind me said
I turned around to see Captain Anderson with his bags along with another soldier.
Quick stupid think of something that seems plausible, I thought to myself, "I was talking to a friend on a com channel who was asking advice about something personal, sir" I said as I gave a salute.
They both blinked several times, way to go blabber mouth,
"well end your call and come over and meet your fellow N7 candidate" he told me,
I acted like I turned off a com channel and went over to meet- "Corporal Kyle Lindsey, 277th, a pleasure to meet you mam," the soldier said,
277th? Where have I heard that unit, was it the Skylian Blitz? No wait that was the 216th, "Lindsey here was the lone survivor of the Acuze incident" Anderson said to me
...Oh, "nice to meet you" I said nicely without showing any sadness
he just smiled,
"Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to our transport" the captain said to us
we got to the transport and got on board on a -hopefully- quick voyage
3 weeks later at the N7 facility
I should stop hoping
everywhere I went, I'd run into Kyle or David (I need to stop talking around Captain Anderson) and they'd try to get more words out of me, when I wasn't avoiding them I was in my room sending messages to dear old dad, or receiving more messages from the many people who talk to me, or blocking someone who is crazy (and I mean CRAZY) for me, or getting my ear talked out by Sum.
until finally, today -seriously...fuck...mondays- I heard on the speaker, "Now docking at Camp David N7 training facility, all passengers prepare for new arrivals"
me, Kyle, and Captain Anderson got out along with several other candidates and their recruiters we had a few moments of talking with one another so I decided to ask Anderson something, "Excuse me Captain, was this camp founded by you?" I asked
"no, it was funded by a kind actor, and apparently people tell me that we sound the same, but I just can't hear the similarities" he answered
Hmm might have to look him up, "what is his name?" I ask,
"I think it's Keith David, or maybe it's David Keith, whatever anyway he decided to donate money to the Alliance after several weeks of it's conception, and it was put into this facility" he said kindly
Where have I heard that name before, wasn't he a voice for that old game Halo?
"Interesting" I said
"ATTENTION CHICKS AND DICKS OF THE ALLIANCE" a loud voice yelled,
I looked over to see a man wearing those old drill instructor uniforms
"MY NAME IS GENERAL RONALD EMERY YOU MAY ADDRESS ME AS 'GENERAL', 'SIR' OR 'GUNNY' ANYTHING ELSE AND I'LL CRUSH YOU LIKE THE MAGGOTS YOU ARE, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR SOLDIERS," he said and more than a dozen 'yes sirs' came out of the candidates including myself were yelled out.
"GOOD, now" he said no longer screaming at the top his lungs, "I want you soldiers signed up by the time lunch is called, AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR NAME ON THAT LIST YOUR GOING TO STARVE UNTIL THE MAJOR HILL FINISHES EATING AND LET ME WARN YOU SHIT EATING FUCKTARDS, THE MAJOR IS A SLOW EATER AND DOESN'T LIKE TO BE RUSHED BY YOUR RUMBLING STOMACHS" he yelled
Again with the yelling, I can tell this is going to be a fun 12 months, I thought to myself
