"Is that what you think?" Her face glowed a red aura as she turned to face him, the tears brimming in her eyes. His voice reverberated in her mind, but she still believed for all of it to be a hallucination. He didn't bother to look back at her.

It all pained him.

"Yeah. It would be for the best." He turned around and didn't dare look at her somber face. She was leaning into the post for support as her sobs echoed in his ears. The realization hit him moments later, and he found himself longing for her once more.

But it was too late.

Their relationship ended just as twilight rose.
