Three hours had passed since his brother and Cas had gone back in time somewhere in England.

At first Sam could admit that had been a little angry will no. That wasn't the right word, annoyed more-like.

He knew why the angel wanted alone time with his brother and he really didn't want to be a third wheel. No matter what the time period so he let it be.

Biding his time, he was currently eating a sandwich while watching an action movie on his laptop. However, he soon noticed that his cup was empty of its contents.

Having looked for the pause button then found it. He paused the movie and got up to get some more coffee.

This was not the most productive use of his time but he thinks he afforded himself a brief vacation period.

As he walked out of his room and walked towards the kitchen. He saw Kevin talking on the phone quietly.

Overhearing part of the conversation yet trying not to pay attention. Nonetheless hearing the words.

"Huh, I hadn't noticed he was here. Wasn't he going to stay at Garth's place? Oh well."

Sam had told Balthazar earlier to take care of Kevin then taken Dean's Impala and dipped.

Back home or as everyone else liked to call it, the 'Bat cave.' He waited and watched to see what would happen next.

He knew whatever 'it' was would not take long to be over with.

Kevin's voice was weary and annoyed as he spoke quietly. He knew that the Winchester was busy with his own problems and he was trying not to interrupt or annoy him.

Even though he knew both Sam and Dean considered him family, he didn't want to add more problems to their lives.

They had helped enough had. He would resolve this one on his own. It was personal.

The person on the other line brought him back to the present and he spoke. "What? Fine. I'll call you back later. Thanks."

Kevin sighed and threw his phone at the nearest wall then he looked at it and ran a hand through his dark hair in frustration.

He had not wanted to break it but he was frustrated.

His contact was getting him nowhere. Soon he would have to find a new one.

"What was that about?" Balthazar asked in a low but kind tone of voice. Kevin almost jumped in his chair he hadn't even noticed his angel was there.

Wondering just how long has he been here.

The angel had appeared in the middle of the room and the pieces of the phone's cracked screen rearranged then mended themselves in the air.

Kevin smiled and muttered his 'thanks' as he stood up and grabbed his phone from the air.

The angel looked away and towards the entrance then his phone rang. Looking at the caller ID and debating on whether he should answer.

His ringtone was the 'TARDIS noise' and the prophet looked shocked. He laughed when he realized where it's from. "That's awesome."

Balthazar smiled at him and looked at his phone then 'poofed' away.

About seconds later the 'angel of the Lord' reappeared with two boxes of pizza and stared at his direction. "Hello Sam, care to join us."

Everyone in room knew it wasn't a question.

It was but a statement. And Sam really could eat some more. Sam coughed slightly and walked towards them slowly.

Grabbing some plates. Leaving them on the table. Smiling at them. Cautiously but proudly. Giving them a just a glimpse of a hunter of his caliber.

He sat down and got some pizza. Then he bit it and looked up. Both Kevin and Balthazar stared at him so he looked at them back as he spoke.

"Your mom gave Dean some things. Stuff you might want or need when we went to see her yesterday. I know you saw her at Garth's place earlier today."

His voice clear and understanding.

"But you know that unfortunately we won't be able to do that for a good while. It likely won't be possible for another few months, ok?"

Kevin looked away from him and he nodded, understanding. Sam continued talking as he got another slice.

"She knows that it's dangerous for you to try to seek her out. But when this is over, you will be able to see her again."

"I promise, oh right. I almost forgot. She gave me your cello and said you should keep playing. That it relaxes you. I left it in your room along with your other things."

The prophet smiled brightly at him then got a slice of pizza and made a dash towards his room once he finished.

When the angel was sure his favorite 'Prophet of the Lord' was in his room. His eyes narrowed slightly at the Winchester and his voice lowered.

"Who was on the phone with Kevin? More importantly, I can't get hold of your friend Garth. Have you contacted him or has he told you anything?"

Sam looked away from him and stood up to throw away his plate. Shrugging yet pretty sure he could find out.

He went for his laptop. Not wanting to work on looking into it just yet because he thinks he still has plenty of time for worries later. Chosing instead make himself comfortable and to brush up on lore.

Staring at Balthazar for a moment. "Are you actually worried about him or are you wanting his inner demons to subside quickly so that we can move on with saving it, the world again."

The angel doesn't answer. He just sits beside him and stares at his phone. Wondering for the first time if Cas made the right choice in taking Dean with him instead of Samuel.
