Hungry
'Hey Nessie'
'Hi Anna, how are you?'
'Fine, how was your first week?'
'Good, I like it here'.
Its Friday today, and my first week at school is almost over. I'm surprised how fast this week went. Monday when we came home from school, I was hungry for human food for the first time in my life. When my dad noticed he made me some cheese sandwiches and we all sat down in the kitchen to talk about our first day. Our first day went great for everybody, but my dad was a little bit frustrated because of all the looks my mom got in school. I know my mom will never love anyone more than my dad, except me maybe, but it was still funny to see my dad so jealous.
On Tuesday, I met Anna's friends at lunch. We sat around the lunch table while Anna introduced them to me. The first girls name was Sara Acker, she had straight brown hair till her middle and green eyes.
Next to Sara sat David Young, he also had brown hair, but his was curly. He had dark brown eyes that were constantly looking at Sara. Anna whispered in my ear that he had a crush on Sara since 5th grade, but he thinks she doesn't like him and is too scared to ask her out. But everybody knows he has a crush on Sara, even Sara knows but she wants him to ask her out not the other way around.
On the other side of David sat Mike Fisher, he had blond hair and blue eyes. He was looking at me in a strange way, then I thought he saw the difference in me and probably thought I was weird, what I expected people to think of me. Now I know he has a crush on me, because he will not leave me alone, my dad keeps staring at him with an intimidating look, he hopes he will scare him away, after school he said to me that Mike reminded him of another boy of the school in Forks they used to go to. My mom started giggling and I had no idea what she thought was so funny. I think Mike is really annoying.
On Wednesday I introduces Anna and Sara to my "brothers and Sisters", we were walking through the hallway together when we past them,
'hi Nessie', my dad said, 'how are you, and who are your friends'.
'hi Edward', I answered, 'this is Anna, and this is Sara, and these are my brothers and sisters, Edward, Bella, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmet'.
I saw the surprised look on their face, they hadn't seem my family from close by, they were stunned by their beauty. I quickly said we had to go on to our next class so it wouldn't get uncomfortable.
Now we are sitting around are lunch table talking about are first week, and how great we all think high school is. We talk about our teachers, turns out Sara is in the same English and History class, David is in the same Biology class and Mike is in the same Math class as me and Anna, plus we all have Gym class together. Which Is thought by this awesome teacher Mr. Brown, whom we decided is our favorite teacher.
When we were done talking about our first week we started to talk about the coming weekend, Anna was going to work in her parents store, they owned the hardware store in town. She like helping her parents. Sara wanted to go to the library this weekend because she didn't have anything to read at her home, she loves to read, something we have in common, she said to me that she loves to lose herself in a fantasy world by reading books about wizards and vampires and other universes and all kinds of thing that don't exist. At least things she thinks don't exist. Because I know pretty well that vampires and werewolf's exist, of course I don't say that.
David and Mike are going fishing this weekend, they do this a lot, they used to do this with David's father when they were little, and now they go fishing with the two of them. I don't really like to go fishing, its way to boring, you have to wait long before a fish gets on your hook, and it is way easier to just catch the fish with your hands, but it would look weird if I did that.
Then Mike asked what I was going to do this weekend, and I told them my family and I go camping, we do this a lot. My family like to be out in the wilderness, usually we go out to hunt in the weekends, but I can't tell my friends that so I just go with the camping story.
When we came home Nana had already packed our bags for the trip, we would go hunting on Saturday and then visit grandpa Charlie un Sunday. I was looking forward to that, because that meant I could see my best friend Jacob again. Although I made some great new friends, I missed him very much. When nana saw us walked to the door she immediately came to me with some tuna sandwiches, I rejected them because I knew I was going to hunt the next day and didn't want to spoil my appetite for blood, the most amazing taste in the world. My nana agreed with that.
My mom and dad sat on the couch with aunt Alice sitting on the floor in front of them. I sat next to her and my mom asked me how my week was. I told her al about her and my new friend, of course my dad already told her everything he even knew more about them then I did. He is the best dad in het world, but he can be very annoying sometimes. He smiled and stroke my hair when he heard that in my thoughts.
When it was time to go to bed I said goodnight to everyone and went to my room to get a good night of sleep. The next day would be an exhausting day. I gotten used to the fact that the rest of my family didn't sleep but I always wondered why they still would go to bed when I did. It is probably very boring to just lay in bed the hole night. I know when I can't sleep I'm always bored. But they all seem to enjoy their nights. I could not imagine what could be so great about not having to sleep. I was glad I could sleep and forget my weird live for a moment.
