Grace was in the kitchen, making Rich a cup of tea while he was working on moving things out of their spare bedroom to their bedroom. For the past few years they had been living there since attending University, the spare room was used as a space for Grace to practice routines to teach the little girls at the studio where she worked, and an area for Rich's desk to type articles for the music magazine he worked for. But now with a baby girl well on the way, Grace had been asking Rich to make room so they could start looking for cribs, and so Grace could start decorating the nursery, something she had been dreaming about since they found out about her.

Grace walked into the bedroom, which was small and cozy, and overlooked their small backyard where Grace had planted bright flowers the Spring before while Rich just shook his head and stated that, "they're just going to die anyway." Now, Rich was working on removing things out of his desk to get ready to move it, but stopped when he saw Grace holding out the mug for him.

He smirked and walked over to her, giving her a kiss. "Thanks for this. Moving all my shit was harder than I thought it would be."

Grace rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh yeah? And is that why you've been putting this off for the past month?" Rich groaned and kissed her once more before taking a sip of the tea and then going back to the desk.

"I can help, I'll take down your posters." He nodded, but looked up at her. "Just be careful, yeah?" Grace shook her head. "I can do it, I'm pregnant, not braindead. And besides, they're not too high up." Rich rolled his eyes at that but let her handle it.

She moved to the wall that was covered with various posters of metal bands Rich listened to and smiled, the room was so him and now it would be their baby's. Carefully, Grace reached for the tacks at the top of one of the posters and successfully removed them along with the bottom tacks, then rolled up the poster and stuck it in a box. She reached up for the next poster but this time as she stretched, she felt a light poking feeling in her stomach, and immediately her hands moved to her bump.

Rich looked over towards her as he continued taking things out of the desk, but stopped when he noticed Grace. "Is everything okay?" Grace felt the poke again but this time it continued. "I think the baby's kicking!" She tore her eyes away from her belly and looked up at Rich who was now standing beside her with a confused smile.

Grace took his hand in hers and placed it over where the feeling was coming from. He looked up puzzled for a moment, "I can't feel-" He stopped midsentence and Grace smiled as he looked down at where their hands were in amazement. "That's the baby? She's kicking."

Rich let out a contented sigh and looked up at Grace. "I can't believe this... Fuck... I just..." He didn't know how to describe how happy he felt in that moment, so he just smiled and kissed Grace.
