(A/N) Hey guys! I'm so glad for your reviews. Sorry it's been a while. I could give you my reasons but hey that won't write the story. I'm trying to hopefully get back into things smoothly though, so bare with me? This was suppose to be a summer project but since it didn't work out that way for the season I hope you still enjoy the summer feeling.

(S/N) 1. Someone asked about character relationships. The only one I can name will be puppyshipping (SetoxJoey) other than that there will probably be couples that you will have to read to know about. 2. I started this story early hoping it could have been a summer story fav for you guys. The story takes place during summer, a summer romance if you will. 3. Disappointingly I have not been able to correct my writing as much as I'd like because of circumstances. These chapters are being uploaded directly without much editing, right from my files. Sorry about this annoyance. I plan to edit them in the future when I can. 4. I have said before that the characters in this story will get a little OC from time to time to make the story work, and also give depth to the characters. Everyone can't be their anime/manga selves because they all have an underlining personality you don't normally see in the series which I will show you. A-hem, try.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Yu Gi Oh! characters.

Please Enjoy!

Its Saturday. What the heck did everyone think was gonna happen? Was Yugi suppose to magically leave his house now that it was officially summer vacation? Yami couldn't be persuaded into something of that idea.. could he? No no no Yugi was sick, who did his friends think they were? This day is not gonna go as someone planned.. but who will be disappointed..?

Your Smile Is Beautiful, It Lights Up A Room.

The sun was shining, bright and early. Oh it was Saturday alright. The light showed through the blinds on the window. A certaint brunette blinked wearily and lifted their head off of their pillow. The bedroom door opened with a loud thud.

"Seto! Get up! It's summer you lazy ass.." could be heard from the door. It came from the irritation that could only possibly be known from not being an only child. That's right a sibling, in this case a younger brother of the past ten years.

At these moments the brunette wondered why his parents decided to have another child. Not only that but why he stopped getting sleep on Saturday.

"Watch your mouth little bro..." Seto spoke annoyed. He couldn't stand that every Saturday the same thing happened, the younger of the two would come running down the hall into the older's room waking him up. He was used to it, but that didn't stop him from hating it.

"It's the first day of summer aren't you gonna do something fun?" Mokuba said excitedly. His brother groaned.

"It's fucking seven-o-clock in the morning! Go back to sleep.." Seto said bitterly. He was always like this on Saturdays.

Ever since their father had passed away five years go Seto has been the heir to the Kaiba corp company for nearly four years now. Their mother remarried to the former CEO Gozaburo Kaiba who later adopted the two brothers.

"Oh yeah.. who's watching their mouth now..." Mokuba said under his breath.

"Your ten years old.. complain when your older." Seto spoke as he proceeded to get up. He knew he wouldn't be able to get back to sleep at this rate, so decided he'd better get out of bed and start a productive day.

Just as Seto got up from his bed and walked over to his closet, his cellphone began to ring. Seeing as his brother was pulling out his outfit for the day, Mokuba bounced on his bed choosing to answer it.

"Moshy, moshy!" he answered.

"Hey Mokuba, how's it going?" was heard on the other line. It was Joey.

"Nothing really, just getting Seto up. He's always cranky in the morning." Mokuba replied.

Seto only raised an eyebrow to their conversation. After putting on a black muscle shirt and some dark wash jeans, he walked over to his bed. Sitting down he grabbed the phone from his kid brother and spoke.

"And to who do I owe this pleasure to so early in the morning?" he questioned with little sarcasm.

"Well... I couldn't sleep. I-it's the first day of vacation, I thought we'd all do something together..." Joey cringed at his voice. This is not the first time he'd called Seto this early but he always regretted it after hearing the aggravation in his voice.

Seto had never been a morning person. Anytime before ten had to be no doubt the worst part of his day. Although over the recent years, he's taken to his morning coffee rather nicely. He hadn't had any yet.

"Look Wheeler..." Seto started as he got up. He headed down the stairs and towards the kitchen. Opening the cabinet above the sink he pulled out a can of coffee mix. He stared at it for a moment.

"Bring me some coffee, and you can stay." he finished into the phone.

"Okay, see you in a little bit!" Joey said excitedly. He was happy he didn't have to stay at home, bored by himself.

Seto hung up his phone as he looked at the can of coffee, putting it back.

It was always like that between the two. The brunette could never bring himself to be kind without the shell of his attitude shielding over. The funny part that he couldn't understand was that, he had actually grown to like the blonde, despite his overwhelming and hyper personality. Normally it would annoy him to deal with someone so optimistic about life, but he found himself to truly enjoy the company of his opposite. Seto being that of a person who couldn't see the enthusiasm of day to day life, admired the blonde who was loud and intense.

Seto sat at the kitchen table as he typed away at his laptop. He was making notes for his latest project for the Kaiba Corp company. As he clicked away the front door could be heard as it opened, Joey appearing as he walked into the kitchen. He held a tray with two cups on it. Setting it down on the table, he smiled brightly at his friend.

"Tripple shot espresso, a splash of hazelnut and two sugars." Joey beemed. Seto picked up the cup and took a sip. Joey always remembered how he liked his coffee. Seto only hummed.

"Can we go to the beach today?" Joey spoke excitedly as he watched his friend.

"The Beach?" Seto repeated, lowering his cup.

"Yeah, we can all watch the sunset and play in the sand.. You know.. before everyone starts doing their own thing." Joey replied a bit gloomy. Seto noticed this and took another sip of his coffee.

"I won't be busy much this summer." he spoke before taking another sip. "Actually, my parents are going out of town for wedding preparations."

"Wait... s-so you'll be alone all summer?" Joey said surprised.

"With the occasional Mokuba hanging out with his friends, yeah.. pretty much." was Seto's only reply.

"W-won't you be lonely?" Joey questioned a little upset.

"Not really, I'll have work to keep me busy. Also, I'm sure you'll come by to visit every so offen." Seto spoke as he typed away at his laptop.

Joey's eyes only widened at his statement. Most people couldn't figure out the arrogant brunette, aside from Yami or Mokuba, which is why he felt so honored to be one of the only few. Seto was not only surprisingly calm but confusingly nice in such a way that was pleasant to Joey. He would notice the subtlety in Seto's voice quite often when it came to him. He never cared if it was hidden behind a snide comment or bitter statement, he could always see it, the kindness. Seto was always kind to him.

"I-I will... so often..." Joey repeated what Seto had clearly ment as an invitation.

Seto looking up from his laptop only grabbing his cellular phone next to him off the table. Pushing a few buttons, he placed the phone to his ear and paused. The phone rang for a moment before the-

"Hello?"

"We're going to the beach." Seto spoke without wasting anytime.

"What... but yor not even asking!"

"I know, it wasn't a question. I expect you to be ready by twelve this afternoon." he continued not skipping a beat. Seto didn't think of it as a question, more of an instruction. He was giving instructions and making sure they were clear. Seto then proceeded to make several phone calls occasionally speaking to the blonde as he typed away at his laptop.

Yami stared at the small teen as he laid in bed. Yugi looked no better than he did the day before. He stirred in his sleep and blinked lazily as he tried to regain focus of his sight.

Yami only watched him. The phone call from early on his mind. His cousin had called him that morning stating that they were going to the beach, not a statement, a flat out demand. He was right now in the process of figuring out how to get his sick patient to the beach. So he decided to start with a simple question.

"Uh.. Yugi, how'd you like to go out to get some fresh air?" Yami said suggestively.

"Huh..? Why.. where are we going?" Yugi spoke wearily, he had just woken up only moments ago and felt somewhat confused by the random question.

"Umm, to the beach?" he answered but it sounded more like a question.

"What! What the hell! Why would I go to the beach?" the small teen yelled angrily at the other.

Yami held back his annoyance. He didn't want to go to the beach either but he knew if he didn't go he'd regret it later on.

"Because... Seto has made it clear that no is not an option." Yami responded. He looked highly annoyed even as he said it.

"Why should I care... I'm sick." Yugi's face was stuffy as he spoke. He could barely focus as he got up to use the bathroom.

"Because, if I go you have to go. Your not staying here by yourself with no one taking care of you." Yami was irritated by this whole situation, he didn't want to take the small teen outside just as much as he didn't want to go outside. It didn't help that Yugi was being stubborn about it, he knew his Aibou was sick, no point reminding him and making him feel worse about it.

Yugi had yawned making his way to the bathroom. He sleepily did his business trying to hurry as much as he can so he could crawl back to bed. Of course Yami wasn't having that, and laid an outfit out on the little one's bed.

"Get dressed. We're leaving at twelve. " Yami spoke simply as Yugi returned to his bed noticing the clothes.

"But- I don't wanna!" Yugi cried upset. He couldn't believe Yami was going to force him outside.

"Aibou, relax. It won't be for long I promise. Have I ever let you down?" Yami soothed the younger one.

Yugi only pouted, he knew it was gonna be a long day. Putting on his clothes as Yami left the room, the teen sulked. It was the first day of summer and he just had to be sick.

It took Yugi a while, but it looked like he was ready to start his day. He was dressed though he still had a slight fever. Yami had convinced him that everything would be okay. He carried on in a mope around the house waiting for the torture of his day to start.

"Would you like some breakfast Aibou?" Yami questioned his depressed companion as he walked into the kitchen. His friend held his head low.

"I'd like some sleep.." Yugi mumbled underneath his breath.

"That's funny, I thought I asked if you wanted some breakfast." Yami twitched as he cut some strawberries up on the counter. He didn't turn to see the younger teen, only leaving his voice to carry fear of what would come if Yugi did not stop complaining. And he did. "Yugi.. I know you don't feel well, but I do believe getting out would do you some good. Luckily for you, I have a very strong immune system that prevents me from getting sick easily." He spoke as he approached the table. He sat a plate of chocolate chip pancakes down and garnished them with the strawberries that he'd cut up on the counter.

"Don't worry Aibou it should be fun, you'll be by my side all day. Don't want anyone else getting sick now do we?" Yami smiled poaring a glass of milk that'd already been on the table.

"Fine... but i won't like it."

"Please Seto, can I come!" Mokuba begged at the counter. Seto had now sat on a stool with his laptop on the counter in front of him, his phone laid beside it. This had been going on for more than five minutes, the whining and repeated asking of the same question. Even in different forms, all the seemingly more annoying than the last.

"I said no." Was the brunette's only response.

"But why!" The younger of the Kaiba brothers whined again.

"You know I hate when you whine..." Seto spoke calmly. He loved his brother dearly, but at times there were moments he could do without him.

"Aww let em' come, it'll be fun Kaiba." Joey encouraged

"Yeah.. because we just need another kidnapping, it's been so long without one I forgot what it's like." Seto said sarcastically in his regular tone of voice. You couldn't hear it, but it was there.

"It won't be so bad, he'll be with us." The blonde teen replied. Mokuba had a tendency of getting kidnapped more often than not. It usually had something to do with money or taking down their company, but each time was worst than the last.

"Fine but if something happens, I'm placing full blame on you." Seto answered. Joey only winced with a mild pain in his expression. He didn't like being on the brunette's bad side, so on the few times he was he resented every moment. At the same time, he knew it wasn't Mokuba's fault that he'd always been kidnapped. The blonde thought it'd be fun for him to tag along, 'the more the merrier' he thought.

"I'll tr-try my best." Joey stuttered a bit.

It was still pretty early in the morning. Joey decided that it would be a good idea for him and Mokuba to play video games while they waited for noon. Taking another drink of his coffee he smiled at Seto and left him to his work as he and the younger Kaiba went into the family room.

Yami couldn't believe he was forcing his aibou outside on a day like this. Knowing he was sick was only the half of it. They were at such a good place the night before and it had all stopped to a halt after telling him he couldn't stay home. He wondered if his hikari would be like this all day.

"Yugi, please take your medicine." He asked his friend calmly. It wouldn't be fair if he were to get upset with him considering the circumstances.

"Fine." Yugi spoke angrily in a pout. It wasn't a good day for either of them.

Soon it was twelve pm and Yugi had developed more of a fever than he had woken up with. The small teen could barely even stand, he felt so light headed from his sickness. Yami was starting to think getting his Aibou to the beach was the worst idea Seto could have forced him into.

"Hikari, are you alright?" Yami spoke a little uneasy.

"I'm sure... I'll be.. fine, in the.. car-" Yugi trailed as he almost fell, Yami catching his weak frame. The young teen breathed lightly in the other's arms. He really didn't look too good.

The taller teen pulled his friend over to the couch, sitting his body down nice and steadily. He breathed a heavy sigh as he decided that his Aibou was in no shape to play on a beach. He did, truly believe that the little teen would benefit from the outside's fresh air and beach waves.

The sound of loud music could be heard playing from outside the game , somewhat irritated at this point swung open the front door to see what all the noise was about. To his shock, and rather annoyance. He found his cousin's car sitting outside, a tall blond hopping out of the passenger's seat.

"Joey-?" the teen spoke a bit upset. "What the hell!"

"Hey Yam, how's Yug doing?" Joey cheesed as he made his way passed his friend inside and up the stairs.

Yami noticed as the car door on the other side opened and out stepped the dashing brunette he knew all too well as his annoying cousin, as of lately. Yeah him and Seto were close, they grew up together. Their fathers were brothers and they shared alot of time in each other's company. That didn't make the brunette any less of a nuisance, especially when he wanted to be.

'So he thinks, he can just bark orders and we're suppose to oblige by his wishes... If I wasn't, well.. me, I would-'

"The puppy wants everyone to hang out... before summer pulls us apart. " Seto said interrupting his cousin's thoughts. Yami looked back at the entrance to the game shop, and back at his cousin's detached expression.

"You almost sound human.." Yami smirked a bit.

"Oh shove it, we both know he's too optimistic to really except no for an answer." Seto spoke flat out annoyed. Only for a moment, did his features soften up."Honestly the idea of everyone hanging out seems pretty okay when you realize everyone won't be together this summer." he continued as he walked inside. Yami following.

Yami smiled to himself, as he thought about how cold his cousin used to be. Who would have thought that one day back in middle school would begin to change that. He had known Yugi and Joey since middle school. Meeting them within the second semester and just moving from out of town, he felt pretty out of place. The two teens had became friends recently, Joey and Tristan previously bullying the smaller. The friends would eat lunch every day and there Yami had met the two. Tristan had headed to the library for their lunch period, and Yugi had noticed a wondering teen who looked similarly like himself.

-Flash back-

"Hey Yug, that guy over there looks alot like you." Joey spoke to his friend.

The small teen looked up from his place at the table he sat. His eyes roaming the area in which his blond haired friend had been speaking of. Those same eyes then landed on a teen a couple feet away who looked very familiar. He stared moving himself closer.

"He.. looks.. l-like-"

"Me!"

"Me!"

The two said in unison. Yugi stared at his counter part in amazement. Joey running up behind him also gawking at his side.

"Wow.. he looks 'alot' like you, Yug." Joey said looking to the two teens. "Except-"

"Cooler!" Yugi blurted out. "He looks just like me except his hair is cooler... his clothes are cooler and he's taller than me!" the teen whined.

"His hair is a bit spiky-er than yours, I mean now that I look at em' your face is much rounder and you have bigger eyes." Joey said studying the stranger.

"Great, he looks better as me.. than I do..." the small teen spoke with a pout.

The stranger busted out into a fit of laughter. He just couldn't take the two's back and forth any longer. The tall blond with his observations and the small teen with his disappointed comments. Apparently the little one had a image complex. So he decided to tease him a bit. Extending one of his hands for him to grab he smiled.

"I'm Yami, and I take it you must be.. cute?"

The shorter teen froze as he heard that taunting comment. His eyes wide and a bit shocked he let go of the stranger's hand.

"No, I'm Yugi!" he said upset.

Joey just laughed, hard. Everyone knew Yugi hated being called cute. He was the shortest guy in school and still hadn't grown much. His face still looked much like a child and his voice was softer than most kids their age.

"Aww but Yug, you are cute. Your cuter than most of the girls in school." Joey gave the teen a short rustle of his hair.

"Ugh- Joey, quit it!" Yugi pulled the blond off.

"Your probably the cutest 'kid' in school." Yami said as he eyed the teen's face. He had never seen someone with such big eyes and soft features. The other did look a bit like himself but even Yami couldn't possibly look that adorable.

Yugi's head shot in the other's direction as his face tinted red. They had locked eyes in that exact moment, and Yugi made a note that not only was the other cooler, and taller but his voice was way deeper than his own.

"So, wanna sit with us? Unless you already got a place." The tall blond cheesed at the two. Yami only laughed.

"I would love to sit with the cuter version of myself, but I'm actually waiting for my cousin to get off his laptop. See I told him that food was more important than work and that he was eating lunch today, so it'd be kinda bad if I didn't make good on my advice." Yami spoke looking around a bit.

"Work?" Joey asked a bit confused.

"Yeah.. see, he's the heir to a huge gaming company. Kaiba Corp. So he's been monitoring the prototype games and making sure they're up and running when sent to the game makers." Yami smiled a but proud of his responsible cousin.

"That's the company that makes all the Duel Monsters cards!" the blond said excitedly.

"Yup, that's where grampa orders alot of stuff from." Yugi smiled. Yami only stared. Yugi noticed and laughed a bit.

"Oh, my grandpa owns a game shop. He loves collecting cards and has some pretty rare ones that he obtained over time. You should come by sometime." Yugi smiled at the new comer.

"Yami." a tall brunette spoke as he walked over to the teen. "They sent over some new software, I'm gonna check it out before tonight's meeting."

"What, but it's lunch time." Yami groaned. Usually he was calm natured and composed, but somehow the brunette annoyed him with his stubborn attitude.

"Kaiba..!"

"Kaiba..!"

The two on-watchers blinked. The teens had never seen a gaming company's employee up close before. They expected someone cool, but never this intimidating. He watched them for a moment before giving a response.

"Do you always say things at the same time, or is that an act?" the brunette spoke in a uninterested tone. As he moved to sit at the table behind them.

The blond stared at him, now sporting an annoyed expression. 'Who does this jerk think he is? '

"Sorry about my cousin, Seto's not really as horrible as he acts. Actually, this is him on a good day." Yami smiled at the two as they walked over to the table.

"You think your so great, just because you get to play games before they come out!" Joey slammed his hands on the table looking toward the brunette.

Seto's eyes focused on his computer screen for some moments before he redirected his attention to the blond. He looked up at the teen's angered expression.

"Listen mutt-" Seto spoke directly. "I wouldn't expect someone of your caliber, to understand the highly sophisticated technology that is Kaiba Corp's software. Every game you have ever played, has been stripped down and analyzed to meet industry standards."

"Urghh... Y-you arrogant prick!" Joey managed through clenched teeth.

Yugi and Yami only laughed as they watched the two go back and forth from across the table.

-End Flash Back-

Yami wore a nostalgic smile as he remembered that day back in middle school. How that moment lead them to so many adventures with their new friends. Seto definitely wasn't as down to earth as he was now, and Yami sure wasn't as emotional. The two have grown so much as people, making room in their hearts for unusual guest. Yami had found a soft spot in his heart for a shy, timid boy who though very independent, still needed someone to rely on. Seto on the other hand found that though he was cold and arrogant, he possessed a compassionate caring side that his group of friends brought out in him over time.

Upstairs in the family room sat the small teen coughing a bit. He seemed to be sitting up in a better condition than earlier. Seto stood by the entrance, arms folded as Joey smiled leaning on the back of the couch.

"Yugi, are you alright? " Yami spoke just partially alarmed. He hadn't expected the teen to be up and moving so soon.

"Yeah.. just need a little help maybe.. getting to the car." Yugi said clearing his throat some. He stood up almost falling, though Yami made it to him in time.

"Are you sure? You don't have to go.. I know you don't feel too well." Yami replied feeling a bit cautious of the other's health. Only to received a nod.

"Yeah. The gang won't be together this summer.. I think it's important we take this moment and have fun." Yugi gave a small smile. Yami understood, his Aibou felt the same way Joey did. He himself was beginning to feel the same way after reminiscing about the past. He smiled back at his friend.

"Alright. To the beach. Let's have the best day ever." Yami said strongly, moving to grab some of the items he packed earlier. There were pills, tissue, cough medicine, and cough drops.

As the friends were getting ready, the front door opened. In walked the rest of the gang, smiles and greetings.

"When Seto called, I didn't actually think we were all going to the beach." Tea smiled cheerfully.

"Well we are, Mokuba's still waiting in the car." Joey laughed.

"Good to see you too Tea.." Seto spoke blatantly. Tea sighed walking over to the brooding teen.

"The feeling is always mutual." Tea smirked as she hit him on the back.

Tristan and Duke followed Joey out to the car while Bakura and Yami helped Yugi down the stairs. Tea and Seto right behind them.

"So Joey, how's Serenity?" Tristan asked before getting in the back seat.

"She promised mom she would hang out for a couple days. Before she had to leave on business. She'll be back in Domino before next weekend for summer break." Joey replied.

"Cool, with Tea going to camp this year, and Bakura's summer classes, those two are going to be overseas." Duke said from beside Tristan, as he leaned on his arm.

"Tell me about it. I've got soccer practice this summer." Tristan sighed hoping there was time to relax.

Everyone had finally made it into Seto's van, greeting the younger Kaiba brother as they sat in their seats. All packed and ready to go. The gang headed off to a beach about two hours out of Domino. Hoping that it would be less packed. To pass the time as the older Kaiba brother drove. Everyone chatted about their summers. How Tea would be attending dance camp in America. Bakura, taking literary and writing classes in America as well. Seto busy with his company like most any regular day. Duke even decided that it was time for him to get a job this summer. He wanted prove to his father he could be mature and responsible. That way he could handle more projects with his father's approval. On the other hand Tristan was going to spend his summer playing soccer. Yugi always just helped his grandfather around the game shop with the occasional visit from a few of his friends, namely Joey or Yami.

Joey never had anything to do for the summer. Mainly because he had no extra curricular activities. This was probably brought on due to his home life not being all that great. His father was a drunk and they didn't have all that much money. Joey would put up with his father's spending habits, and verbal abuse that sometimes got physical. He didn't really see a way he could excel at any particular subject, so just focused on getting the best grades he could. He would usually hang out over at a friend's house, play some games, watch some movies, snack on things. Serenity would come by every summer to visit her big brother and stay at their maternal aunt's house a couple blocks away from Joey. It was always best that way. Him and Serenity would spend time together and catch up, never letting their parent's separation change their bond. They were always going to stay bestfriends.

Yami smiled as Yugi's head lay on his shoulder. He could hear his soft breathing in small patterns, hoping he was alright after giving him the sinus medicine earlier.

Yami usually hung out with his cousins, most of the time. Not having any siblings of his own, he rather enjoyed the company of Seto and Mokuba. Their families were always very close since they were young. Ever since Seto and Mokuba lost their father and he his paternal uncle, their parents both promised that nothing between them would change. Even after his cousins' mother remarried and Gozaburo adopted the brothers, the two families moved together to a new city. Yami liked the new scenery, it helped all of them move forward. Sometimes he even assisted the brunette on projects being very helpful in launching the game systems Seto worked very hard on developing. He would play with Mokuba and alot of the times Joey and Yugi would tag along. Yami liked having everyone together, but this summer he hoped maybe something different would happen. Something new.

Seto had been driving for two hours and finally they were on the coast. They could see the ocean not too far from them and everyone hustled to get the stuff out of the trunk. Yami laughed as he woke his sleeping friend.

"Yugi, I'm going to help get the supplies out of the trunk." he smiled.

"Oh, alright." Yugi spoke quietly as he woke up from his nap. He pulled himself together and jumped out of the car. His expression brightened when he saw everyone carrying umbrellas, blankets, towels, beach balls, even sunscreen. Seto and Joey must have packed everything. Snacks too. He was happy that the day would be spent with friends. Even though he was sick, Yugi decided to make the most of it.

"Yami!" the little teen yelled to his friend as he rushed across the sand, his hand waving. His friend looked up catching a glimpse of him before setting down the beach bag.

"Let's make sand castles!" Yugi continued with a cheeky grin.

Yami chuckled to himself. 'Aibou seems to be in a much better mood than earlier. Maybe the fresh air is doing him some good.'

Some time had passed and everyone was having a great time. Tea had took Mokuba to collect sea shells. Tristan and Duke were playing frisbee. Joey finally got Seto to get off his laptop and duel him while Bakura watched. Yugi and Yami had made sand castles, taking pictures in front of it for memories. Now Yugi was playing in the water, splashing Yami from time to time. Yami thought it was cute how the small teen's face lit up with every splash.

Soon everyone was sat around a fire telling stories, roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. The group laughed and talked about their previous adventures. How they had all met. Even how they planned to spend Christmas break that year. They brought up the story about how Joey and Tristan used to bully Yugi, back before they really knew him. Tea had always stood up for the small teen in those times, having been friends with him since elementary school. Joey always thanked Yugi for teaching him about friendship. For sticking up for him even when Joey had bullied him previously. Yugi became really special to him. Someone he could count on to be there for him. He could always talk to Yugi about his home life and that's what made them best friends.

It was getting pretty late and the friends all decided it was an enjoyable day, but that it was finally time to go home. Mokuba walked beside Joey as they made their wsy back to Seto's car. The hang had pack up all stuff from off the beach and began storing it in the trunk. Yugi sneezed a bit. Yami seeing as it was getting colder gave the sick teen his jacket, hoping he wouldn't get sicker. Tea smiled, looking out onto the beach.

"Today was great. Though I wish Serenity and Mai were here. Look at that sunset!" the girl beamed.

Everyone laughed at the teen's excitement. They agreed, the sunset was beautiful and they all got to see it together. Minus the two missing faces. She was right, it was a great day. Tristan closed the trunk and climbed into the car once again as everyone headed home. Joey in the back with Mokuba asleep in his lap. Tristan and Bakura on either side. Tea sat in the passengers seat as Seto drove them back to Domino. Yugi, Yami and duke sat in the center row with Yami in the middle.

Yugi stared out the car window. Thinking to himself, he leaned on the glass. 'Today was so much fun. Minus the headache I have, and this sore throat. We even took some pictures of the sand castles to put in my picture book.' He smiled to himself. 'I wonder what this summer will be like. Everyone's busy, I mean.. except for Yami, Joey and Seto. And Serenity, is coming to visit. Joey'll be so happy to see her.' Yugi cheered in his mind. A sudden bump in the road pulled him from his thoughs.

"You alright Yugi?" He heard Yami ask as he looked over in his direction. Yugi nodded quickly. Brushing off the idea anything was wrong.

'I totally forgot about that. My heart almost bounced out of my chest. I can't believe all it took was him looking at me and my face got all hot. And you call yourself a guy. Yami's right... I guess I am just cute...' Yugi thought disappointedly. His face turned a darker red than before. 'Wait.. he does think I'm cute, which he's said on numerous occasions! Oh please Yugi get a grip, everyone thinks your cute. You look like a child.'

"Are you sure your alright? Your face is heating up." Yami spoke again. Yugi turned to look at him as he fiddled with his hands.

"Uhh, yeah.. just a little cold." Yugi replied.

Yami reach into one of the beach bags and pulled out a blanket, covering the smaller teen. Yugi smiled a bit thinking to himself, this was one of the reasons why Yami was so perfect.

As everyone got back to town Seto dropped everyone off at their respective homes aside from Joey, Yugi and Yami. The next stop was the game shop and Seto parked outside just as he did earlier. Joey and Yami helped a sleeping Yugi out of the car. Deciding to just take Yugi in himself, Yami wished the blond and brunette a goid night.

Taking his Aibou inside, Yami carried him up the stairs to his room. Laying his small form on the soft mattress, he pulled the blanket over the sick teen tucking him in. Leaning down, he pressed his lips to the little one's forehead. Just as he pulled away, he could hear a small whisper.

"Yami..."

'As if you weren't cute enough all day, now your calling my name in your sleep?' Yami sighed to himself. 'What am I gonna do with you Hikari..'

Yami laughed as he took leave, closing the bedroom door.

And that's chapter 3! Just wanted to introduce a couple of relationships. Of course I don't mean just romantic. I wanted everyone to get a feel of the sibling/cousin love and friendships. Hopefully you'll understand the communication between the characters, based on their underlining relationship. I thank you for making it this far into the story if your one of the few who started reading a year ago. I don't have a computer at the moment so hopefully you don't hate me for how horrible this is written. Please review it helps to know if you enjoy the direction I'm going with the story. Feedback is very and always welcome.

Kitten: I hope you enjoyed this chapter!

Joey: I liked the way you made me relatively important!

Kitten: Good, cause I might need to use you for fan service later on.

Joey: Huh..? Y-you never said anything about that..

Kitten: Sure I did, ask Raven.

Raven: Yup it's all right here in the contract.

Kitten: Don't worry Joey, you'll do great!
