"Yo Laura, check it out!" Numbuh Two crowed, leading the girl over to a small shack adjoining the KND Treehouse. "Time for you to meet the toughest cybernetic agent in Sector V! Modified by yours truly!" He brought his hand to his chest as if receiving a trophy
"What's going on, Hoagie?" Laura asked, squeezing the boy's hand as she stared up at him. He just grinned at her, and continued to pull her towards their destination.
Arriving at the shack's front door, Numbuh Two stood alongside it like it was a curtain in a game show. His expression grew debonair, and he raised his eyebrows for Laura's benefit.
"Introducinnnggggg..." He swung open the door with much aplomb. "...Robo Bradley!"
Bouncing out of the shack, the legendary Numbuh Six, a forest skunk known as Robo Bradley, made his appearance on the grassy lawn, outfitted with the latest 2X4 bionic enhancements. Standing on his hind legs, he spread apart his arms in a "ta-da" motion and presented himself to Laura.
"Hi!" Laura cheered, giving him a wave.
Robo Bradley turned to address Laura, but soon reared back from the girl in abject terror. It was the skunk tail of Laura's Skunky Scout cap that grabbed his attention, sticking up like a lone grave marker. "Aunt Chestnut!" Bradley screeched in Disney-cartoon mouse-speak, his eyes bulging out of his head. Then, with fur standing on end, the cybernetic skunk scrambled back inside, slamming the door behind him with a kick of his back leg.
Numbuh Two stared after the departed agent, mouth agape. Then he turned to Laura with a sharp glare. "I told ya not to wear that thing in front of Bradley!" he scolded her. "C'mon, Laura!"
"I'm sorry..." Laura hung her head with a mopey look on her face.
