~The Winter Wolf Alchemist

Roland woke up the next morning with Miranda in his arms. He looked and saw she was still asleep. He smiled gave her a soft kiss on her temple. Miranda shifted slightly. Roland would've gotten up had Miranda not stopped him. She smiled softly. "Rollie, stay with me for a little more, please." She said. Roland blushed slightly. "Okay honey, I won't leave." He said, laying back down with her. He closed his eyes once more, sighing. "What's on your mind, Roland?" Miranda asked, worried. Roland sighed again. "Nothing, love. It's only my shoulders." He said, turning to her with a pained expression. "Oh, poor baby." She teased, with a grin. "Here, turn around and I'll rub them okay, Rollie?" "You don't have to, Mindy." Roland said. Mindy was Roland's nickname for Miranda. "I want to, dear. It's for you're own good, any who." She then proceeded to rubbing his tense shoulders. Roland couldn't help but let a groan in pain escape his lips. "Roland! You have an injury!" Miranda cried. Roland got up, shaking it off. "No I don't , love. Now, I have to go. I've lots and lots of things to do." And with that, he left. Miranda was stunned. She was just trying to help him out. Clearly, he didn't want her to.

Roland was pained the entire day, but he didn't show it. He knew that if he did, people would be fussing about it, and that's something he didn't want. The day went on as usual, except until nighttime.
