Chapter Two: The Search for More Senshi
Corinna's journey through the stars was a change she had to get used to, and get used to quickly. The difference between what she grew up breathing and the vast vacuum of space was not normal by any means.
She eventually made her way to the constellation and then to Omicron. The journey was long and she was exhausted and hungry.
"I did not prepare myself for such a long journey." She said to herself wondering how hospitable the people on Omicron might be.
She landed a couple of miles outside of a very populated area and sat herself down by a large tree to rest. She hoped no one saw her flying and hoped anyone that did would not be scared. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, in the castle in the populated area that Corinna landed near, a male servant ran through the halls and corridors and entered the throne room.
"Your majesties." The man greeted out of breath. "I have come with news."
"What news, Ender?"
"Someone flying, your highness. Landed just outside our walls." Ender answered.
The king and queen's eyes got wide, as did their two children, Princess Alexis and Princess Anna.
"Ender, how can someone fly?" Princess Anna asked. She had light blonde hair that matched her mother's, but it was up in pigtails and had heart shaped buns on top, and teal eyes. Princess Anna did not know much about the world other than what was told to her.
"My young lady," he started, "I believe this visitor is none other than Sailor Aldebaran. She was dressed in purple from head to toe."
"Well, then, we must find her. If she has been reawakened, she must be in search of Sailor Omicron." The king replied. "She had a long journey, so she must be exhausted. We will prepare a feast in her honor and get a room ready for her. She will need one." He ordered.
"Father," Princess Alexis started, "Who will be going out to greet her?" she asked. Princess Alexis had grey eyes, long dark blonde hair and was eighteen years old.
"Why, my dear? Would you like to set out and find her?"
"Well, I do not think she would be happy if a bunch of men in armor found her. She might think she is not welcome here."
"You make a nice point." Her father agreed. "Princess Alexis, you may go out and find her. "Princess Anna, you make sure a chamber room is prepared that is fit for a princess of Aldebaran."
"Yes, father." They said simultaneously.
Princess Anna headed through the castle, grabbed a couple of servants on her way and her handmaidens and found an empty room close to hers and her sister's.
Princess Alexis headed down and met with a servant who already had her prized stallion ready for her.
"Let's go Star. We have a person to find." She said to her horse as another was brought to her all saddled up.
"For Sailor Aldebaran, miss. This is Princess Anna's horse." The young servant boy commented when Princess Alexis looked puzzled. He handed her a small bag.
"Why, thank you Thomas." She replied smiling as she took the bag from him.
"There is water in a canteen and some bread for right now for her too. I can get a better platter brought to her chambers once she is ready for it." He added.
"Will you be needing guards?" A man asked her.
"No, Sir Ashton. Not today. I think this is a quest for me alone."
"Yes, my lady." Sir Ashton replied.
Princess Alexis headed off in the direction that Enders thought he saw Sailor Aldebaran land. She held the reins of Shiva in one hand and Star's in another.
Her search only took about an hour, for she found Sailor Aldebaran sleeping next to a tree. She came up quietly and dismounted from Star.
"Stay here." She ordered her horse quietly and tied Shiva's reins to Star's. "And don't let her walk away." She added.
Princess Alexis turned to see Sailor Aldebaran stirring so she walked over to her and nudged her shoulder.
"Sailor Aldebaran?"
"Mmm?" Corinna mumbled and then woke up. "Oh, hello."
"Hello. I am Princess Alexis. We have been told of your arrival and wanted to welcome you to our home." She introduced herself as she sat down next to her.
"Thank you."
"Here. Drink and eat this." She said as she handed her the canteen and piece of bread that was wrapped up in a cloth. "It is only water and bread, but we have other stuff at the castle."
"Thank you." Corinna said as she graciously took the food.
"I have my sister's horse, Shiva, for you to ride back to our castle. It would have been a very long walk otherwise. As soon as you are ready, we will go back."
Corinna nodded in agreement.
"You do not have to call me Sailor Aldebaran all the time. You may call me Corinna." She stated after swallowing the piece of bread she was chewing on.
"You are not a princess as well?"
"No, I am, but I do not like the formality of everything."
Princess Alexis smiled.
"Neither do I." She agreed. "How about in each other's company we are on a non-titled basis and then in front of others, the titles are back?"
"That sounds like a plan." She agreed and then paused.
The two mounted up on the horses and Corinna followed Princess Alexis back to the castle. Once they arrived, they dismounted and Corinna handed the reins to a small boy.
"This is Thomas. He takes care of Shiva."
"Pleasure to meet you, Thomas."
"Thank you. Same to you, Sailor Aldebaran."
"Come on, let's go."
Corinna followed Princess Alexis into the castle, down a few hallways and into the throne room where the king and queen were waiting.
"Your highnesses." She greeted as she kneeled down.
"Sailor Aldebaran, it is our pleasure to host you on your search." The queen stated before her husband could. "I am Queen Helen and this is King Marsh. We trust our eldest found you and did not startle you."
"Yes." She answered as she stood up.
"Besides Sailor Aldebaran, do you have another name we can address you as?" King Marsh asked.
"On Aldebaran I am called Princess Corinna."
"Well, then, Princess Corinna, welcome to Omicron." Queen Helen replied as her youngest daughter came into the throne room. "And here is Princess Alexis's sister, Princess Anna."
Corinna turned and saw Anna and bowed.
"She looks an awful lot like Sailor Omicron." She thought to herself as she smiled.
"Pleasure to meet you Sailor Aldebaran. We have a room ready for you and a better choice of food if you would like." Princess Anna greeted. "If it is okay with the king and queen, I will escort you to your chamber."
"That is fine, Princess Anna. We will let Princess Corinna get settled and rested. We will send a servant when it is time for dinner."
Corinna bowed and curtseyed and then followed Princess Anna through the castle. Princess Alexis excused herself and went to her own chamber to change.
"If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been Sailor Aldebaran?" Princess Anna asked as the two walked.
"Only for about a day."
"How did you know? What happened?"
"Are you not told anything about the Sailor Senshi?"
"No. My tutor only taught me the basics of life before she left. My sister, who is supposed to teach me now, does not want to bother."
"Oh. I can help you where your sister is lacking."
"Would you? There is so much I want to know. I have never left this castle."
"I can tell you what I know about the sailors, of my previous life if you would prefer. There's not much."
"What was the last battle like?" Princess Anna asked as they approached her chamber. "Oh, this is my bedchamber. Princess Alexis is across the hall and you are at the end of the hall. I hope you do not mind being so close to us."
"It is not a problem at all." She said as they continued walking. "The last battle, according to Aldebaran's records and books, was fierce. The Sailor Senshi did not win. We were seriously outnumbered and outmatched. We thought we would not need any help from any of the other Sailor Senshi groups that exist. In our defeat, according to my younger brother who adores all of the old Sailor Scout tales, Sailor Aldebaran pleaded that in their next life they be stronger and somehow be different."
"And, are you?" Princess Anna asked and then opened the bedchamber door. They walked in and sat down at the small table that was set up by the window.
"Yes. I can show you." Corinna answered and then pulled out the torn page from her sleeve. "The one on the far left is myself. And then it goes Sailor Rigel, Sailor Capella, Sailor Polaris and then Sailor Omicron."
"Wow. I love Sailor Omicron. She kind of looks like my sister, but you have longer hair than the Sailor Aldebaran pictured. And you have purple at the ends of your hair now."
"That's not the only difference. My eyes are purple. It changed from blue and the whole uniform is now purple."
"So this makes it harder for you to find the other Senshi. If they look a little different, but in a way it is a big difference."
"Yes. I am hoping I am successful."
"And how did you know you were Sailor Aldebaran?"
"Usually a traumatizing experience triggers it."
"And yours?"
"I was supposed to get married. I was at the altar just as the ceremony was beginning, but another species from my home attacked."
"As you were getting married? Really?" Princess Anna asked in disbelief.
"Yes. He tried to hit me with some kind of blast but missed. Before I knew it, I was outside and I hit him with one attack. Everything just came back to me. It was like I already knew what to do."
"What happened after? What did your father say?"
"He was shocked at first, but he knew that if I was awakened, that something terrible was happening somewhere and that I would need to find my other Sailor Scouts."
"Do you think that since the Sailor Omicron in your picture looks like my sister, that she might be Sailor Omicron?"
"I do not know, but I will eventually find out." Corinna answered and then yawned. "Excuse me."
"I will leave you. You can sleep for a while. We will awake you when dinner is served."
"Thank you." Corinna replied.
Princess Anna left the room leaving Corinna sitting at the table alone. She picked up the piece of paper, walked over to the bed and stared at Sailor Omicron in the image as she lay down on the bed.
"She must be Sailor Omicron but how do I awaken her?"
Ah, chapter three...more coming soon. I swear! I had fun writing this one too. I seriously wrote for like a week straight when writing this. It just has taken me a LONG time to remember I had an account on here. I look forward to the reviews, if any arise.
