Katie was worried. The fact that Nico was coming to camp meant that something was wrong. She searched her basket until she found her knife. It wasn't fancy like Annabeth's but it was a good knife. She grabbed a bag figuring she could steal some food. She used to hate stealing to the point where she would yell at the Stolls but now it was her way of living. She could now rival their stealing talents.

She then crept through the tunnel and through the tree trunk. She then walked through the forest to the kitchens. She took some food; it wasn't really a big problem. She decided to walk by the cabins. Walking by her old cabin she saw a flash of red hair. She smiled knowing that it was Rachel. She walked close enough that Rachel could see her but then turned away and darted to Zeus's fist. She could hear Rachel following her.

Katie climbed onto the rocks and Rachel climbed up after her. Katie sat down and Rachel sat down across from her.

"Hey Rachel. It's nice to see you."

"Katie. I haven't seen you around camp. People think you are dead."

"I know. I've been hiding out. Things got crazy and I had to leave."

"What happened? Nico called and said you would explain it to me."

Katie bit her lip and nodded slowly. "It's a long story and I can't tell you everything. I only know bits and parts but what did Nico say?"

"He mentioned how everyone hates him and Annie. He mentioned that something big was going to happen. He said something about the gods and dreams. He mentioned some names- Scott, Aria, and Lucy? He said something about how Iris blocked IM for them."

Katie though hard for a few minutes. Taking a deep breath she started talking.

"After everyone left for school, things were good. Then there was a huge storm for some reason so we had all had to go back to was this new girl- daughter of Athena. She was jealous of Annabeth. Things began happening at camp. Weapons going missing, things getting stolen, stuff like that. All the evidence pointed to someone in the Athena cabin.

Annabeth had been acting weird since the new girl came. One day Nico came by and they started talking. Nico talked to Chiron and they disappeared for a night. Percy didn't care because he trusted them. When they came back things changed. Nico and Annabeth hung out more. They would whisper and Annabeth would draw. Rumors started spreading about Annabeth cheating on Percy.

One night, Annabeth was gone on some mission with Nico. Percy grew suspicious. He found some stuff in her cabin. It got bad and dumped all her stuff into the lake. He called her a cheater and a whore. He then thanked the new Athena girl about telling him the truth. We were confused. Late at night I prayed to Poseidon to let me grab her stuff. I was able to save most of her stuff. Annabeth came back the next morning. She was bruised, beaten, and looked tired. She and Nico had cuts and scratches but they appeared happy. She rushed to Percy's cabin to find him sleeping with the new girl. They started yelling and screaming. We were all looking in shock.

Annabeth took off running and Nico chased after her. Percy went back to his cabin and kicked the girl out. Nico and Annabeth skipped lunch and dinner. We then decided to go looking for her. Percy came with us because he knew her special spots. We found them under a tree. Her face was red and tired. She must have taken off her shirt because she was just in her bra. She stomach was kind of out. Nico had removed his jacket. He was holding her in his lap and she was crying. She said something and Nico kissed her nose. Percy was standing behind Nico so he thought he saw Nico kissing his ex-girlfriend. A few of us saw the real thing. Percy grabbed Nico and they stated fighting. Annabeth was on the ground. She had her hands to her stomach. I helped her into her shirt. Nico was knocked out and Percy began fighting with Annabeth. They yelled and fought with weapons. I think only 7 of us saw what really happened. The rest saw Annabeth as a cheating slut. She collapsed halfway through the battle. I think it was then that they remembered that she had just came back from a mission. They cared them back to camp and Chiron took care of her. The Apollo kids refused to help

Things got bad for them. People would tease, shove, and say nasty stuff to them. Percy had all but dumped her. Percy stared sleeping around with some of the girls. They had started sleeping in a little shack in the woods. The 7 of us who saw what really happened would sneak stuff to them.

One night someone followed us to where they were. They tied us up and they burned the house, unaware that Annabeth was inside. When she screamed they realized the truth. Percy put out the fire but Annie was missing. They asked us where she was we didn't say a thing. Things then got bad for us. We were seen as traitors. After a while, we all took off. I stayed behind."

Rachel's mind was reeling as she tried to understand. She opened her mouth but Katie shook her head and continued.

"We kept in touch. When Nico came by one day asking me to spy I said yes. He told me that he and Annabeth were part of a special army. He asked me if I was interested and I said yes. He had tracked down the others and I managed to get some new campers on our side. Two years ago, things went silent. No one contacted the others. We were just told to do our jobs and wait."

Rachel couldn't believe it. She and Annabeth had become good friends. She knew Annabeth would never cheat on Percy. She also knew that Nico saw Annabeth as a sister and mother. She was confused though where did the other names fit into the story.

"Katie I understand that part of the story but where do the other people fit in?"

Katie smiled sadly.

"Annabeth was pregnant with Percy's kid. She only told Nico. Percy didn't know. She gave birth to her daughter- Aria on May 13. She has Annie's hair. Aria's eyes change colors depending on her mood. She is about 3 years old now. Lucy is Luke's niece. Apparently, Luke had an older sister who died in a monster attack. Luke promised to take in Lucy but when he died she was sent to an orphanage. Lucy ran away and somehow found Annabeth. Annabeth took her in. Lucy is about 7 years old. She had Luke's hair and his eyes."

She handed Rachel a picture. There was Annabeth and Nico. Two little girls were in the picture smiling. The girls looked around the ages 1 and 5. Rachel could tell that the girls were beautiful. She nodded. She felt tears in her eyes. She couldn't believe her friend had gone through that.

Katie brushed away some tears.

"As for Scott, well he's like you. He's mortal and sees visions. He had dreams. I guess you could say he's our oracle but he's actually not. We don't really know much about him. From what I just found out, Scott has been having dreams lately. It's about the gods and another huge war. This time the war will be worse. It will pit friends, family, and true loves against each other. The enemy is able to pry on you weakest memories and fears. They are able to hurt you in ways no one else can. The war will be fought against the titans, gods, and the mother earth. The camps will have to join together. This shouldn't be too hard but what will be hard is the fact that you need our help to win.

We are some the best fighters in the world. We were all found and recruited to join the army. Annabeth is the captain of the army. We have spies everywhere."

"Army? Spies?"

Katie's eyes sparkled happily. She pulled out her knife where a symbol was etched into the handle. An eight point star.

"Chaos."

Rachel had heard all about Chaos. He was one of the oldest gods. He brought trouble to the world but at times he brought help. He was said to have the strongest army. One that stronger than the gods. She couldn't believe what Katie was saying. But she could feel that it was true.

"But why would the gods need our help. What kind of help?"

Katie threw her head back and laughed. It echoed through the woods. She leaned in and whispered "The gods didn't keep their promises. They didn't claim all their children. They forgot a certain group of children. A special group. They are known as the Fallen. The gods consider them mistakes."

Rachel was now very confused. She knew that Percy made the gods swear to claim all children. But how could they have forgotten about the children. She looks at Katie expectedly.

"Some of the gods had children with the other gods. This produced minor gods. But they are more human than we think. What's different is that these children come from the least likely gods. They are considered to be mistakes because they remind the gods of how hard they fallen in love. The gods don't like to be reminded about the past. The only god who cared about them was Chaos and Hades. Hades and Persephone are the only ones who know about the army. They were the ones who sent them to us. Hades is the only one who claimed his children out of this special group. The key to winning the war will be getting Chaos' army and the Fallen to help."

Rachel was having trouble with the explanations. This was so much information to take in. Katie felt slightly bad for Rachel. It must have been hard for her to be out of the loop for so long.

Both girls just looked out to the woods, listening to the noise.

Katie then stood up and climbed off the rock. Rachel followed her. They walked through the woods.

Katie lead them to the lake. They were near the group. Rachel stared at them. From a distance, she saw how things really were.

"They are using each other."

"What?"

"They are using each other. And we are using them."

Rachel opened her mouth to say something but a sudden flash in the sky stopped her.

A blue and yellow flash flew into the shy and lit it up. It transformed into an eight point star. The symbol of Chaos.

Rachel turned to see Katie disappearing into the woods. She looks at the mark in the sky and thinks of everything she learned. She shivers.

She walks over to Percy and the group. They are all arguing over the meaning of the symbol.

She looks at them and what she says make them all stare at her.

"Jackson, you screwed us all up. Chaos. It's the symbol of CHAOS!"

The meaning sinks in and everyone pales.
