Chapter Three: The plan and the light
Shadow sighed in annoyance and waited till Sonic arrived.
"Hey buddy!" Sonic said. 'Well that was unexpectable!' Shadow thought. "Why are you hitting all these things? Even you don't normally do that." Sonic said. 'Was that an insult?!' Shadow thought and he growled as his anger just grew. "Are you still grieving over Amy? I don't know why you're sad about her since you're a like robot and I thought…" "I'M NOT A ROBOT! Shadow yelt. "WOW NOT THE FACE NOT THE FACE!" Sonic cried. "Pffh… Pathetic. I just yelled." Shadow said to himself. "Okay." Sonic continued. "Got any ideas about how we can get rid of these emotions?" He asked. "Are you trying to say that you actually have feelings for her, cared about her, and immediately you want to get rid of the emotions?!" Shadow stated angry. "No! I didn't mean it like that! I just want to well, get less sad like, go on a trip or something like that." Sonic explained. Shadow nodded and calmed down. "Well I would lóve to go with you on a long trip." Shadow said sarcasticly "But first I would like to at least take down that weapon, as a revenge and since Eggman is probably going to use it for something else other than killing the ones dear to us." Shadow suggested. "Sure!" Sonic said, his turn being sarcastic. "And how do you think we can do that? One hit and we're dead!" Sonic yelled. "I thought you were the fastest thing alive." Shadow said. "But a laser that takes 5 seconds to power up and shoots for 3 seconds and can't move while shooting can take you down?" Shadow asked, as if Sonic's a bit chicken. "HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW THAT!" Sonic yelled in shock. "And of course it won't take me out. I'm Sonic the Hedgehog!" Sonic said with pride. Shadow just rolled his eyes and looked away. "I know that because I was timing the lazer to get Amy out of there." Shadow explained. "Oh." Sonic said dryly. "It's still pretty fast for such a big machine." Shadow admitted. "There was a ray shield protecting the machine right." Sonic said. 'Oh my god Sonic remembers something :D. Ugghh...' Shadow thought in his mind sarcasticly. "So we just find a way to shut it off and destroy it!" He said and ran off into Eggman's direction before Shadow could say anything. Shadow sighed and followed.
Not much later they found Eggman again. "EGGMAN!" Sonic shouted. Shadow did not want to do it that way. He did have a reputation. "Ahh…" Eggman started. "So you've decided to meet your doom and making it easier for me, how touching." He said with some sarcasm and laughed evilly. Then Shadow thought of something.
"Sonic?" Shadow asked. "Yes?" "Why did we let him notice us before finding a way shut down that ray shield?" Shadow asked again. "BECAUSE WE ARE SONIC HEROUS!" Sonic yelled. Shadow facepalmed. "If we die it's your fault!" "I can live with that." Sonic said. "YOU WON'T" Shadow said and Sonic realized his bad choice of words and facepalmed too. "Well even though I would love to watch you two argueing but getting rid of you two will probably be more fun." Eggman said and both hedgehogs looked at him and sweat dropped when Eggman laughed like a maniac and he powered the weapon. "RUN!" Was the first thing that came to mind and Sonic and Shadow ran in different ways to confuse the doctor. Shadow spotted a big button on his weapon which looked like an off switch or something like that and quickly spin dashed at the cockpit and pressed the button and the weapon indeed shut off. "Now!" He shouted and Sonic attacked it.
"Not a single scratch." Sonic said horrified. "We're fucked." Shadow admitted. Eggman powered up his weapon again and a big smirk was on his face as he started to explain. "Too bad that this metal has been infused with chaos energy, so attacking it with those weak attacks of yours won't help." 'If only we had one chaos emerald!' Shadow and Sonic cursed in their heads. Then Eggman aimed his weapon at them. Sonic screamed like a little girl and Shadow kept shouting: Shit, shit, SHIT! When Eggmans weapon fired. A bright light appearded and stopped the laser. Sonic was already passed out but Shadow was still concious "What the Fuck?!" Was all he could say while shocked and was laughing a little bit because he didn't die.
The light teleported the big lazor (with Eggman) away and a loud explosion was heard. Then the light returned in front of him. Shadow had stood up now and was stuttering from the shock. "W-what are you?"
