6purplecats: Thanks so much for the review, really. I freaking love long reviews! Anyways, I was thinking about letting Erza save Lucy – but then I thought to myself, "Why would I let that happen? Don't I want to make this story a tragedy?" So ya. I don't know, my mind is all like: KILL …. DON'T KILL. It's a mad house up there.
Just Me: I hope you don't hate me for this chapter, but hey let's see what happens :D Thanks for the review!
Nampa: Hey thanks so much for the PM I know I didn't reply for a while but I haven't been on my profile in a while so didn't see it until today. But thanks again for the review and PM!

Warnings: Cussing (I somehow feel like there is a lot my cursing in this chapter…so ya you have been warned), a little OOC (but I really hope not), there might be grammar and spelling errors.
Disclaimer: Sadly I don't own Fairy Tail...but a girl can dream.
Enjoy!
If he made it out of this one, Gray was going to treat himself to a long ass vacation. Because…damn who wouldn't? It wasn't every day he was faced with a life or death situation. Alright maybe one or two times he was faced with that dire situation – but as of right now, being impaled with a large chunk of wood was a great excuse of a break…or at least that's what he thought.
Gray wasn't even sure what was going on right now. Sure, sure he remembered the searing hot pain that ripped through his abdomen – hell who wouldn't forget that. But whatever came before that, or even after…Gray wasn't too sure. He may be dead to the world, drifting through his mind while his body sat there bleeding out. Funny thing was…Gray couldn't bring himself to care.
He was too tired to care.
All he wanted to do was sleep and for some reason, he couldn't. Damn maybe he was awake. Cause he started to see things here and there. Like flames and red liquid that was surrounding him – damn it was expanding fast.
"-out on me…"
Huh, that was weird, Gray thought.
"Don't be a pu-"
What? Don't be a what?
"-Up, Chin up! Face the world…wake up, Gray! Wake UP!"
God damn, who the hell was yelling, Gray groaned. Didn't they know he was trying to sleep here? Great now he ears were ringing – which meant he wasn't going to be able to get to sleep anytime soon, because there was a fucking imbecile trying to wake him up. What the hell was he doing wrong anyway? All he did was let himself get stabbed by a piece of wood. Alright, maybe that was bad, but he was going to sleep it off. Not walk it off, he was too tired for that.
Though his vision was fuzzy, Gray was sure he could fine the loud ass mouth from which the annoying voice came from. Luckily he had found that person. Ahhh, hell, Gray thought. Why hadn't he thought of who it was sooner?
Natsu Dragneel.
"Don't look at me like that, Ice Princess!" Natsu's voice thundered.
Damn flame brain, Gray winced, take a chill pill.
"I still have to beat you up for this, so get up…walk it off."
Walk it off? That's exactly what he was trying to avoid in the first place. Was the idiot crazy? Hell he was fine sitting right here, and hold on a second – did the bastard really just threaten to beat him up? For what? No offence to lizard-breath, but Gray was pretty sure he was going to kick the pink out of Natsu for even daring to wake him up. He was fine sitting here, so the idiot didn't need to tell him what to do.
"C'mon droopy eyes," Natsu swallowed, "you've got to get up."
Gray paused, now hold on a damn second…was Natsu being nice…to him? Alright, so maybe it the asshole wasn't being nice, but shit – his voice sounded actually caring at that moment.
Okay, so reconsidering his situation – for Lucy and Erza (where ever they are) – not, repeat not for Natsu, Gray could say that his situation was a little…dreadful. Oh shit, what was Juvia going to say about this…she would be freaked – and clingy, like more than usual clingy. Gray was pretty sure that the Water Mage would actually cling on to him for a full month before she would allow herself to go back to stalking.
He really needed to pull himself together.
Natsu suddenly stiffened. His face turned a ghastly white and he looked…frightened.
"…what?" God his voice sounded terrible. It was rough and dry.
Natsu moved his gaze towards Gray. "Gray," He breathed out, "what the fuck happened to you?"
What the hell? Something was obviously wrong, and Natsu was trying to start up a conversation with him? Again, what the hell?
"…what's wrong?" Gray forced out through parched lips.
Natsu frowned.
"Something's," Gray tried to swallow, "wrong."
"Nothing – nothing's wrong-" but Natsu stopped himself. "It's Lucy," Natsu looked around, "I told her to scream if something went wrong."
Oh for the love of everything holy, Gray groan. "Go," Gray suppressed a cough.
"What?" Natsu growled.
"Natsu," he growled back, because damn this Flame Mage was an idiot.
Natsu cursed, "What the fuck are you thinking, bastard. I'm not going to leave you here."
"I can…take care of this on my own," Gray shot back.
"Like hell you can," Natsu shook. "You have a fucking tree though your stomach."
"I can freeze the wound," Gray replied with an eye roll.
"And the chunk of wood?"
"You're such a dumbass, you know that?"
"Takes one to know one."
"You're the bigger dumbass."
"Ya, well you strip."
"At least I'm not an idiot."
"Oh, great comeback."
"Natsu," Gray growled, "Lucy needs your help."
The Flame Mage swallowed, "Don't be an idiot."
"I'm fine, lizard-breath."
Pressing his palms into the mud, Natsu broke into a run. His feet rapidly struck into the soaked earth carrying him towards the cry that broke through the night. Soon his silhouette disappeared out of sight, letting Gray heave a sigh of relief.
With Natsu gone, he could finally focus.
Picking his arm up from the ground, Gray wasn't surprised when he watched dark crimson stained mud drip from his arm and fall to the ground, along with thin droplets that rained down from the brightening sky. Breathing out, Gray readied his strength to cast a spell, but found himself unable to do so.
Problem was he was too tired to keep his eyes from shutting.
A/N: So? How was it? Are you mad, sad, happy, excited…crazy? Anyone of those is welcome here! Let me know how you feel in a review, and let us hope I update a lot earlier.
