AN: I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I haven't updated in FOREVER and I feel so guilty. I honestly thought I could get one chapter up a month, and they aren't even that long, but I haven't. I kinda sorta forgot, but I promise I will try harder from now on. I even have an entire class period dedicated to writing, so it shouldn't be as seemingly impossible. Now, on to the chapter! (FINALLY!)

Amy huffed, grabbing Dan's hand-she didn't trust him not to go postal on her-and sitting down. She didn't trust this guy, at all, but they had no options. Dan was muttering under his breath, but he sat down too. The minute he did that, the rest of the family (Jonah, Ned and Ted, Hamilton, Atticus, Jake, Ian, Natalie, Reagan, Madison and Nellie) relaxed slightly and sat down as well.

"Good," the voice said, "It began centuries ago, with the birth of Gideon Cahill's serum. He developed it with the intention to cure the Black Death, but that didn't work out in his favor, did it?" He didn't bother waiting for a reply before plowing in. "But you already know this story, right? You know how Gideon's four children all blamed each other and left, leaving their mother alone on the family island with her husband's corpse."

They all nodded, confusion evident on their faces. "Did you know she was pregnant?" The voice was definitely gleeful now, as if expecting them to go into shock. Instead, they all pointed at Amy, Dan, and Nellie. Nellie rolled her eyes, popping a piece of gum in her mouth. "Just a quick question?" Amy said, squeezing Dan's fingers in order to gain the courage to continue. "When I answered the phone, you said the Cahill family has been fighting for too long, but we haven't had any fights for almost a year now. We've had squabbles, of course, but that's mainly among the people you see here. We live together, and have conflicting personalities. I'd be kinda scared if we didn't squabble."

There was an awkward silence over the intercom, then the sound of rapid argument. Jonah took the opportunity to fist-bump Amy. Ian winked at her, smirking. She sent a shy smile back, fighting very hard not to blush. "Yes, well." The voice came back, this time sounding decidedly grumpy. "Apparently our intel was wrong, wasn't it L-" He cut himself off. "Wasn't it, Lilac?"

A very masculine shout of outrage came over speakers, and the teenagers, Nellie, and Jake, collapsed in laughter. They could hear three women laughing as well, at the gruff chuckles of "the voice". (I'm gonna start calling this voice "V") "My name is NOT Lilac, you over-grown hairy buffoon! It's LUKE! Come on, Thomas! Give it up! One time! It was ONE time!"

That had the kids' attention. "Thomas? Luke?" Ned whispered.

"And three girls?" Amy replied.

"Do you think they're recluses who decided to take on the names of our ancestors?" Ian kept his voice low, but all the kids were able to hear him, mainly due to the fact that they were all leaning in.

A third voice came over the speakers, this one decidedly feminine. "Way to go, you idiots! You just gave your names away!"

The two men growled and muttered, the words inaudible over the speaker. V-or Thomas-turned back to the microphone. "Sit tight." He ordered. "And don't go anywhere!"

"I'm confused." Madison stated. "Where does he think we're gonna go?"

She had barely finished her sentence when the wall behind her began to rotate, revealing…

I'm not entirely sure yet. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! I got more than a page typed! *Throws confetti in the air while dancing around awkwardly.* I will try to update more regularly, I promise. Thanks for reading! Points to anyone who can figure out who the kidnappers are! (I don't think it's that hard, but I planned it out, so I may be biased.)
