Life on the Great Fox was complicated, the recreation room, simulator room, dining room and others had to be shared by the residence of the ship. In the future, I rarely took rides on the Great Fox, most of my time was going to uncharted locations. The times I did spend with the crew were fun. But the cramp spaces and limited rooms for privacy really bothered me. Especially back in those days when Fay and I were married. But now, it wasn't really a problem. Fay did come around to liking me more than a friend. I got such treatment last night. Or rather yesterday's space time. But I had made a promise to Fay, that I would apologize to Krystal for my crude behavior. I guess calling her fat, even though I didn't mean it, was still insensitive of me. I walk down the white hallways of the main hall. The kitchen door was open earlier than usual. Taking a peek inside I see Krystal sitting by the kitchen counter sipping on some cold milk.

"Who does that human male think he is. I'm not fat, am I?" Krystal said.

Fay was right on the money, She was worried about her appearance. But was it for Fox? Or just for her own beauty. I walk into the kitchen, and Krystal upon seeing me rises from her seat making a quick exit. But I quickly stand in her path. She looked very upset as her eyes looked into mine briefly and then to the side.

"Listen, I'd like to apologize." I said, "I didn't take your feelings into account when I thought that of you."

Krystal folded her hands. She still wasn't happy, but she looked willing to accept the apology and to move on. However, as I turned to leave, she spoke out.

"Do I look…. Fat to you?" She said.

I turned to face her and noticed a small glean of worry in her eyes. This must be for Fox. Krystal blushes bright red as she reads my thoughts. And I seeing her reaction realized what she had done.

"I….I. 's not like I'm doing it for h-him you know!" She said.

I chuckled slightly, I remembered a similar scenario happening from my own time. Though, I was the reason Fox and Krystal even married. I don't mind helping them out again in this timeline.

"Krystal, you have nothing to fear. I'm sure Fox has had his full share of glances." I said.

She blushes even harder to the point it shows through her white furred cheeks. But as she hides her face, a small smile appears from her un-hidden muzzle. She brisk walks out the kitchen. And I know for sure Fox was on her mind. Ok, I've kept my part of the deal. Now Fay won't try her puppy dog eyes. I open the fridge, grab a bottle of water and took small gulps.

"Why was Krystal blushing so much?"

I turned to the door seeing Fay leaning on the door frame.

"I apologized as I said I would." I said.

"But she looked more bashful than content with the apology. What happened in here?"

I put the bottle back closing the fridge.

"Well, I just told her that Fox looks at her all the time." I said.

Fay looked at me with harsh eyes but then became saddened of her wrongful accusation.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to know why she walked out of the kitchen feeling so….. High." Fay said.

I laughed at her description.

"Of course she's high! She's taking her dosage of love."

Fay blushed slightly at my own description, and to her. It was like a love poem.

"What is with your way of words, that can make a woman's heart melt?" she said.

I walk up to her, stroking her ear. But she pulled back from me, "not right now. I'll go into heat again."

I had forgotten about that. She actually goes into heat when I scratch her ear? Looks like I found her on switch. Out of nowhere Fara's stomach made its opinion known as it growled loudly. She held her stomach, her which cheeks red as an apple, and i laughed at the awkward silence that took place. She glared at me, and I still kept laughing.

"It's not funny you…" She said.

She gave me a playful punch to the arm, at that point I was quietly chuckling to myself, "I'll get you for this. Just you wait."

Though I didn't mean to laugh. Seeing her angry side and sworn for revenge made me excited about her comeback. I was about to pat her head when the alarm went off. Lights glowed red around the entire ship. Emphasizing that danger was at our doorstep. As we got to the bridge, we understood why. A Venomian battle cruiser was heading for a head on collision course with the Great Fox. I was not stunned by the ship's massive size. But why an event like this was happening now. Could this timeline be changing from my own timeline? As Fox and Krystal ran to their Arwings. Slippy and Falco ran out of their rooms to their Arwins also.

"Luke! I'll need to you keep an eye on the enemy's attack patterns. Let's see your skills in data analysis in action." Fox said.

Oh boy! The time had finally come to show our enemies who they were really messing with. In my timeline, I was a novice in the concepts of data analysis. But with statistics and probability under my belt for over 6 years, making predictions was no longer an impossible feat.

"Star Fox, don't focus too much on attack. Focus on evading for now." I said.

"Roger!"

The Team went to work, evading and keeping their distance from the cruiser. Typing into my terminal. I set the range and area of the fields to focus on. After five mins of calculating, data showed that the trajectory of the lasers came from both sides of the cruiser. However, the computer gave warning that hatches were on the top and bottom of the cruiser. Meaning hidden lasers or even heat seeking rockets could be in there. The trajectory of the laser also showed, that there was a blind spot, right at the center of the cruiser to the front of it.

"Sending data now." I said.

The Team got the information and were amazed at the detailed descriptions that were displayed, where the cannons were, which areas of the ship to look out for and a blind spot in the laser cannons trajectory. It also showed that a couple of bombs fired to the font and center of the ship would be enough to completely shatter it.

"This is awesome!" Falco said.

"To get such precise descriptions of the enemy ship. It's incredible!" Slippy said.

"Come on guys. Let's blow up this sucker." Falco said.

The Team followed suit and flew to the front and center of the ship. And what was shown proved true as none of the lasers even came close to them. This was noted by the Cruiser's crew as the cruiser tried to rotate to get their cannons in firing range. But it was to late. As the bombs went flying hitting the nose of the cruiser causing the entire structure to shatter.

Upon arriving in the hangar. The Star Fox Team, Fox, Krystal, with Slippy and Falco who avoided me since yesterday. Now approached me with more welcoming faces.

"How were you able to do that?" Slippy said.

He looked at my terminal and studied it for a while as Falco then approached me.

"You were pretty good with that analysis." He said.

He offered his hand and I took it willingly. But I was kind of stunned by his change in attitude. Normally within my timeline. He'd just scoff and walk off. But now, he seems to respect me with higher regard. Fox and Krystal came last as they thanked me for the helpful analysis which helped them bring down a Venomian Cruiser.

"Normally we'd have to use one of our cruisers against theirs. But never knew they had a weak spot that could completely destroy their ship. " Fox said.

"That's the beauty of statistics." I said.

The bond that I worked for so many years, I was able to gain it within a day's worth in space. This made me slightly well up inside. Because I knew that their versions that lived in my timeline. Were all dead.
