Till next time you damn crooks!
Enjoy!
"Alright, I'm just about ready to go on with life now." I said with a yawn stretching my body out like a cat.
After floating and no real direction we came across an island; Nami said it was called The Marine Base.
"Can we get food now?" I whined. "I'm hungry."
Nami rolled her eyes in return. "You're always hungry, so that doesn't tell me much."
"It tells you everything, like the fact that we need to eat." I said grabbing her arm. "Come on I smell food this way."
"Wait aren't you going to change?" She said resisting me.
I grimaced. "Do I have too?" She shot me a stern look one that resembled a mother scolding a child, apparently yes I had too. "Ok fine, but after we had better eat after this."
"Deal." She smirked. "You can wear something of mine…maybe a skirt."
I sighed shaking my head before changing into a pleated black mini skirt, black thigh high boots, and a black V-neck t-shirt leaving the black hooded mask on keeping my hair and majority of my face covered.
"There...I don't really understand the reason why you enjoy making me dress this way." I said as I strapped my blades to my waist. "But can we go now?"
"Because I like seeing you in girly clothes; not the black and baggy ones you usually wear to conceal your gender. Hey…you didn't take off your hood or mask." She pointed out.
"And I'm not going to, for reasons that you should already be acquainted with." I said closing my eyes and walking away from her with my hand behind my head. "I'm going to eat, I would prefer with you but I'm sure I can find one without you." I threw over my shoulder and kept on walking.
"Hey, wait for me."
We were sitting down relaxing in a little pub when some loud blonde guy waltzed in. I tensed and narrowed my eyes at him and he needlessly broke and destroyed things in his path.
Nami shot me a warning look as I reached for my swords in irritation.
"I'm hungry bring us whatever you got and keep the check for yourself." He said laughing obnoxiously.
My eye twitched at how annoying his voice. He was killing the vibe of the little pub making me lose my appetite that I had barley even started to satiate, never mind the twenty plates that sat in front of me. I was pissed.
I shot her an unapologetic look but mouthed for her to scram as I stood up from my seat.
When she snuck out leaving a few coins on the table I slowly stalked towards the annoying man, the people jumped to the other sides of the room as they saw the irritated look in my eyes.
"And bring me a bottle of your finest moonshine, or whatever crap you serve and put some speed to it lady I don't have all day."
"Ah that's more like it." He said as the waitress poured him his drink. "I'm trying to think of something interesting to do seeing as how I'm bored out of my skull here. Well I supposed I could execute Zoro."
My eyes widened at hearing the name, then glowed light blue as I swung my fist into his face, however I wasn't the only one.
When I looked up my blue eyes came into contact with that straw hat pirate that we had seen before.
I narrowed my eyes at him. Was he following us?
"You! Both of you just hit me!" He cried after digging his head out of the wall.
"Luffy don't!" I watched a little pink haired boy hold him back and smirked.
The guards helped the blonde up and then I punched him in the face again knocking him back into the walls. I dispatched the guards before he could even crawl out.
"You can't hit him, he'll have you killed." A woman said appearing beside me.
"This guy is scum!" I hissed while Luffy shouted it.
"I-I am Captain Morgan's son, do you know what he's going to do to you when he-" He said staring at me.
"No, and I really don't give a damn." I said kneeling in front of his face and cutting him off, he flinched back at my glowing blue eyes. "You will tell me where Roronoa Zoro is and I will let you walk away with all of your limbs attached to your body."
He gulped, his body trembling in fear despite the words that sputtered from his lips "I-I'm not scared o-of a w-woman."
I unscathed my swords and made an x shape around his neck, just a flick on my wrist and I could decapitate him. "I honestly doubt these people would stop me from getting rid of a little pest like you, are you willing to bet your life blondie?" I said coldly.
"H-He's a-at the m-marine b-base."
I quickly put away my swords and smirking at him. "See now that wasn't so bad." Then sprinted out of the pub.
"My father will execute you!" I heard him yell out but I was unbothered by it. His father could try; I wasn't one that was killed easily.
I found the marine base easily and climbed over the wall. I watched him for a minute, baking in the sun before I made my way to him.
"Oh how the mighty have fallen…" I said to him. "Long time no see Roronoa Zoro."
"I must have died and went to hell. Because I know you can't be real, you're not really here." He retorted.
I scoffed. "Oh no, I can assure you green bean, you are very much still in the land of the living." I said lifting up his head with my hands.
His eyes widened. "It's you!?"
"It's me." I smirked.
"And you're really here?"
"Yep in the flesh." I said as I patted his cheek. "Just what have you gotten yourself into now?" I asked staring into his eyes.
He closed them and then laughed.
"What? Why are you laughing?" I asked with a frown.
"It's just…what the hell are you wearing? Is that a skirt? Never thought I'd see you in one of those, looks good enough though." His eyes shined with amusement.
I bristled scowling as I glared at him. "How is that the only thing you can think about right now, you are in some deep trouble my friend..."
"I've been in worse." He said shrugging me off.
"Damnit Zoro, you promised me you would take care of yourself. Is this what you call taking care of yourself?"
"Look I'm fine, everything is fine. I have everything under control." He said, but I didn't believe him.
"No everything's not fine." I said growling at him as I reached for his ropes. "It won't be fine until I untie you and get you out of here."
"No!" He snapped at me and I slowly dropped my hands.
We glared at each other. I don't know how long we stood there glaring at each other when his eyes shifted to something behind me.
I twirled unsheathing my swords and came face to face with the pirate from the pub. We stared at each other for a while before I sheathed my swords again.
"You again…" Zoro scoffed. "Don't you have things to do?"
"I'll untie you, but only if you promise to join my crew." Luffy said.
"You're what?" Zoro asked confused and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Ever the idiot…" I whispered and when Zoro glared at me, I stuck my tongue out at him.
Luffy watched us with interest. "I run a pirate crew, and I'm looking for people to join up." He said to Zoro and then to my displeasure looked over at me and grinned. Hadn't I already told him no once before?
"No way, I'd never stoop to joining up with a criminal. Screw that business." I said and Zoro nodded.
"And what's wrong with being a pirate?" Luffy asked irritated by my answer.
"Their despicable, like I'd ever want to join up with one." Zoro said.
"Oh come on give me a break, everyone already knows you as some vicious bounty hunter always out for blood." Luffy said.
"Rumors are such nasty business; you cannot always believe everything you hear from others." I said thinking of all the things people have said about myself.
"People can say whatever they want about me. But I've never done a single thing in my life that I regret. I will make it through this challenge, and after that I'll accomplish what I want." Zoro said.
"Yeah that's great, but I've already decided that you're going to be on my crew, you as well." He said staring me over with the straightest face.
"WHAT!?" We both yelled. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!?"
"Yeah, your one of the best swordsmen around, and you…" He said looking at me. "I want you to be my first mate…"
I scoffed and yet a blush still made its way to my cheeks, there weren't many female pirate captain's and even less female first mates. Even if I didn't want to join his crew, I was still honored for such a title to be offered to me.
"Well I am, but that idiot captain's son took my swords away." Zoro said with a sigh.
"Guess I'll just have to go get it back for you." Luffy said evenly.
"What?" Zoro asked shocked.
"Yeah, so if you want your swords back…you'll just have to join my crew." Luffy said with a smile.
"Now you're really pissing me off!" He yelled. Luffy laughed and ran towards the opposite of the base entrance.
"Wait, he's really going to bust in there alone?" Zoro asked me curiously.
I sighed with a shrug. "No he's not, but I am." I said sprinting towards the entrance and disappeared inside.
"Hey, hey idiot the entrance is in the other direction." Luffy stopped and turned around.
"I knew that." He said laughing as he stretched out his arms "gum, gum rocket." He said shooting himself towards the compound.
I made it to the top of the base just to watch Luffy break the statue of Captain Morgan.
The men started freaking out, and I laughed. They stopped noticing me there laughing at them and blushed. That gave Luffy the time to capture the captain son.
"There you are I've been looking all over for you, you have something that I want so you're going to give it to me." He said grabbing him and speeding pasted me with a grin.
I laughed some more but stopped when I heard a guard say there was another intruder in the base. I narrowed my eyes. It better not be Nami.
I slammed the door shut and locked it, then went searching for who I hoped wasn't going to be Nami. I would leave getting Zoro's swords back to the straw hat, as I had seen he was more than capable of taking care of himself.
The extra intruder luckily wasn't Nami, but that didn't stop me from yelling at her when I found her though. The marine base was crawling with…well marines.
"Nami what the hell!" I hissed as I appeared beside her.
"Someone's rocking the boat." She said glaring at me.
I raised my hands in mock surrender. "Not me, not this time, that straw hat pirate really knows how to party. He kidnapped the captain's son and that was after he completely demolished a statue of Captain Morgan, he's seems like a fun guy."
"Of course his destructive nature is what draws you in…" She shook her head and I smirked.
"Naturally." I said.
We took off, after all we didn't come here to dilly dally with the marines, we came to steal from them.
After we took all their treasure and tied up two marines, we were making our way back we I glanced out the window to see the little pink haired guy and Zoro surrounded by marines.
"Hey Nami…" I said softly my eyes unmoving from the scene below.
"Yeah?" She said looking at me curiously.
"You can make it back to the boat fine right?" I asked her.
"Well yeah but don't even think about doing anything stu-"
"Good, I'll meet you there." I said cutting her off and grabbing my bag, leaping out of the window towards the duo. I landed on my feet at the same time as the straw hat landed. I watched wide eyed as the bullets the marines shot hit him before they ricochet back.
"That won't work on me! I told you I was strong!" Luffy shouted before laughing.
"What the hell are you?" I growled.
"You wanna tell me just who the hell you are?" Zoro snapped.
His smile grew when he saw me besides Zoro. He gave us both a loaded stare. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy and I'm going to be King of the Pirates."
"You're going to be King of the Pirates? Right… You must be completely out of your rubbery mind." Zoro sneered.
I slapped my hand across his chest as I continued to stare at Luffy. Our eyes met and it was then I realized how completely serious he was. He smiled at me and I laughed shaking my head.
"Ow what the hell was that for?" Zoro growled at me, as he pulled my eyes from Luffy's to his own.
"Don't go dissing other people's ambitions!" I growled back instantly. "It's not cool you moss headed idiot."
Zoro huffed before looking at Luffy. "Do you have any idea what that means?"
"King of the Pirates means King of the Pirates. How could it mean anything other than that?" I said sarcastically to Zoro making him glare at me in return.
Luffy laughed. "She's got a point Zoro!"
"Guh! I remember you, you're the chick that sliced up Alvida's iron club…with you bare hand…" The pink haired little boy said staring at me in fear.
I smirked at his blatant fear. "Yeah, and who are you?"
"C-Coby…" He squeaked.
"Nice to meet you Coby." I said with a nod.
"Here's what I promised you." Luffy said handing Zoro three swords. "There's three; I didn't know which one was yours so I brought them all."
I chuckled causing Luffy to look at me. "They are all his." I said pointing towards the swords.
"I use the three swords style." Zoro said.
Luffy considered this before smiling. "Well take them already; just know that if you both fight with me now you'll be considered government defining villains. It's either that or get killed execution style."
I looked at Luffy arching my eyebrow, while unconsciously moving my body into a fighting position. "What are you? The son of the devil?"
"It doesn't matter because if I don't choose your side, I'll just end up dead on these stakes. So let's do it." Zoro said with a grin.
Luffy cheered happily. "Yes so you're finally going to join my crew, this is the best thing ever!"
"Would you stop playing around!" I snapped at him before turning towards Zoro's ropes. I began to untie them. I did so very slowly much to Zoro's irritation…
"You yell at Luffy and yet here you are also playing. Quit screwing around." He snapped as his eyes remained on whatever was behind me. I didn't need to look; I could hear the marines getting closer and closer towards us.
"Fine..." I said at the last minute slicing through the ropes with a not so innocent grin as Zoro quickly launched over me.
I turned to find that I was nose to nose with Zoro. "Oh think we could call this move dance of blades?"
I smirked when he glared at me with a dark expression. "Damnit, why did you take so long they could have-"
I waved it off with a smile. "I knew you'd have my back Zoro, you always do."
"Wow! That is so cool!" Luffy cheered.
I leaned into Zoro as he was in no current position to move, getting a closer look at the stunned marines with an innocent smile plaster on my face. My eyes flashed and the shivered. "Make one move and you'll die…"
The men face flooded with tears at the seriousness in my voice.
"She's so scary…" They cried.
"Today I officially become a criminal having fought the marines." Zoro said and I leaned back to look in his eyes. "So I'll become a pirate, but I want you to know one thing. While I'm with you I'll be fulfilling my ambitions."
I smiled at him already knowing even as Luffy asked.
"To me nothing less than the world's greatest swordsman. If somewhere along the way I have to give that up then I want you to take full responsibility afterwards you get to apologize to me." Zoro said.
"The world's greatest swordsman, sounds pretty good. The King of the Pirates wouldn't have anything less than the best on his crew." Luffy said with a huge smile.
"Big talker. From this point on no matter if I'm a criminal I will spread the name Zoro throughout the world."
"Why are you all standing froze kill the four of them quickly!" Captain Morgan shouted.
I glared at him my eyes flashed and I watched silently as my arms liquefied into a giant mallet made of water gaining their attention.
"You might wanna duck." Was the only warning I gave before I swung my arms effectively knocking out all the marines Zoro was holding bad with his swords.
"Woow that was so cool! I didn't know you had devil fruit powers like me!" Luffy cheered.
"Of course you didn't, there's a lot you don't know about me. I bet you don't even know my name." I said with a laugh.
"Yeah, your names Kim-" I slapped my hands over Luffy's mouth with a glare.
"Shut it your trap you dolt. I don't want the marines knowing my name. You think I wear a mask for fun?" I snapped.
"Yeah!" Luffy said with a smile and I rolled my eyes. He had a point, a huge part of the mask was just for the fun of it…but that doesn't mean he needed to know that.
"But of course we don't need too…" The Captain said gaining my attention. "There only one person in the entire blue with the ability to manipulate water, and that the Western Sea Demon. What I didn't know however was that the demon was a puny little girl."
The marines that weren't laid out from my attack were whispering amongst themselves, most of them having moved back once my identity was uncovered. They'd heard of my rage and didn't want any part in the fight.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "What did you say? You got something against women of power. I'll show you, you metal jawed freak!"
I was held back by Zoro and I didn't get a chance to attack as Luffy ran off doing that on his own.
I huffed before kicking a rock but didn't bother to interfere with his battle.
I sighed turning my eyes towards the annoying blonde as he started screaming while holding the gun to poor little Coby's head.
"Luffy listen don't let anything happening to me stop you no matter what, even if I die." Coby cried.
Luffy smiled. "Of course, you got it. You hear that you big idiot Coby's ready to die by your hand…"
Zoro and I shared a look before getting into position. When Luffy shot his arm forward we both made our moves.
I snatched Coby away just as Luffy's fist slammed into the noisy blondes face, leaving Zoro to cut down the Captain.
I looked up smirking while throwing up the peace sign when Luffy congratulated our team work.
I walked over towards the two guys after leaving a shocked Coby on the ground.
"Thanks!" Luffy said with a smile at us both.
I rolled my eyes but nodded with a salute as Zoro said "Just doing my job captain."
I turned my head facing the marines that stood there in shock. "If there's anyone else that wants to step forward and fight us then do so now."
I raised an eyebrow as the marines all shared a look before throwing up there weapons and hats cheering.
"That's weird their happy that their captain was beaten…" Luffy said with confusion.
"They must have been scared of him for a really long time before we showed up." Coby said with a huge smile.
My eyes widened and my body moved instantly when Zoro shuddered, his body losing balance as he fell towards the ground, I caught him before he hit it.
"Zoro are you ok? What's wrong?" I asked with a frown as I looked over his face, arms, and torso looking for wounds.
"I'm…..hungry…" He groaned.
I glared dropping him instantly. "You idiot, making me think it was something serious..."
I walked with them towards the town restaurant before turning to leave.
"Hey, Kimiko where you going?" Luffy asked in confusion.
I flinched at him shouting my name. I turned glaring at the straw hat. "I would appreciate it if you didn't shout my name out loud, but if you must know I'm going to look for my friend."
"Oh?" Zoro said looking over at me.
"I left them on their own for a little bit to fight with you guys but now that you're alright I need to return to their side."
"What friend?" Zoro asked with a frown.
I chose to ignore him. "So Luffy, it's been a real slice of fun, Zoro…try not to get yourself killed…"
"Wait you can't just leave…" Zoro took a step forward only to be stopped by Luffy.
"Don't worry with our luck, were bound to see each other again." I said before taking off once more.
I made my way back to our little ship where I found Nami waiting. "You could have gotten hurt you know."
"Yeah I know." I said.
"They could have found out your identity…" Nami snapped, but she wasn't angry, she merely worried too much.
"Not likely…Captain Morgan didn't even know I was a 'puny girl' as he so put it." I said with an eye roll.
"Was it worth the risk…" She asked me curiously.
I thought about it. Fighting with Luffy and Zoro. Seeing the happy faces of the marines that were now freed from the tyrant captain I flashed her a smile. "Yes."
Nami was uncharacteristically quiet and that was unnerving in its self.
"Couldn't find what you were looking for?" I asked wanting to break the ice.
"Yeah, come to find out it was already stolen." She said with a grimace.
"By who?" I asked.
"Buggy."
"Well then, I guess we'll just have to pay him a visit, steal his stolen map." I said my eyes shining.
"And his treasure." Nami said her eyes also shining.
"And maybe even his boat…" I said with a smile.
She flashed a smirk, Beli signs appearing in her eyes. "I love how in sync we are."
I laughed at her. We made it to our ship and set sail, to track down Buggy the pirate.
