They Say You Marry Your Mother- Chapter 3

-Teddy-

They say you marry your mother. Teddy Lupin had never known his mother since she had died when he was still a baby. He had never even heard many stories about her because his Grandmother found it very painful to talk about. But as he thought about Victoire, he compared her to what little he knew of his mother.

He knew she was pretty from the few photographs he owned. And Victoire was only the most beautiful girl he had ever met.

He knew Tonks was younger than his father. "Well," he thought churlishly, "Victoire's not that much younger, but she is younger."

He also knew that she had made his father very happy. As Teddy fingered the velvet jewelry box in his pocket containing the engagement ring he had bought several weeks ago, he realized he was finally certain that he was ready to marry his mother.
