Uraraka
Two days had past since Iida and I reported Deku missing. Police had come to ask Ashido and I some questions, but we weren't much help and I was frustrated with myself for leaving Deku behind. Of course I didn't know he would be taken, but we were friends, good friends, if we had stayed together this might not have happened. I felt so helpless.
"You're still worrying" stated Iida as he walked around the corner of our dorm room level . It wasn't a question. My worry would have been plastered all over my face.
"They will find him" he stated boldly as he reached my side. He looked strong and determined with a fist raised to his chest, I wish I had as much confidence as he did. He turned to face me and placed a firm hand on my shoulder, "do not fear Uraraka, he will come back" despite my feelings Iida's confident smile was contagious and I felt the corners of my mouth lifting.
"Hey you two, come on!" Kirishima called to us from down the hall, we both turned to stare at him, "didn't you guys hear? Mr. Aizawa is having a class meeting. He wants the whole class there" we walked quickly to his side and we followed him down the hallway and down to the first floor where the common room area of our dorm was and the room was already full of our class.
Midoriya
I don't think it had been long, but trapped down in this windowless basement it was hard to tell how fast the time passed. After the leader had claimed that he would take All Might's power he had pulled some hair from my head, swallowed them whole and sent me away. Now I was locked in a dully lit room, hanging from my bound wrists against the wall. My wrists and arms ached from being in such a position for so long. I considered myself lucky that they had allowed enough slack for my feet to be able to touch the floor firmly, but even then it was tight enough that my arms were stuck above my head, when relaxed I was lucky to have my elbows at eye level. A moving shadow caught my eye and I looked up to see a single moth trying to reach the light above. The only light in the room was from a single hanging bulb that was weak and yellow in colour.
The only times I was freed from my restraints was when they came to give me food and water and even then it was always the larger man that I couldn't overpower without my quirk. Despite having made me unable to use my quirk, they were still being cautious around me.
I heard noises outside the closed door. To me it meant only trouble, it wasn't too long ago they brought me food, so this could only be something else. The door burst open and the leader stomped in. He looked angry, his underlings hanging back just inside the doorway. He marched right up to me and punched me in the gut. My instinct was to curl up around the sore spot but stuck the way I was I could barely move. My bodies sudden instinctual reaction to the punch though only aggravated my already injured shoulder, I clenched my teeth determined not to give him the satisfaction of knowing how much he hurt me. He looked at me with burning furious eyes and grabbed my throat, squeezing.
"Why didn't it work? How do I activate it?" he hissed through clenched teeth. I hadn't said anything to him about the quirk only being able to be passed on if it was intended to. He couldn't take it from me by force, but I kept that too myself. I was sure that out there heroes and police would be searching for me, I just had to hold out till they found me. He shook me by my throat and squeezed tighter till it was becoming hard to breath.
"Tell me!" he hissed. He released me and stepped back a few paces, waiting for an answer.
I coughed from suddenly being able to breath again before I answered, glaring at him the entire time.
"When All Might first passed it onto me he said, clench your butt cheeks kid and yell this from the depths of your heart, so I yelled smash and it worked for me" I coughed again. The leader stepped forward, ready to grab me again but paused.
"You think this is some kind of joke? I will get that quirk from you one way or another" and with that he spun on his heel and left the room more calmly then when he had entered, but two of his underlings remained and after he had left they came closer to me. One of them carried a small suitcase and opened it to reveal what looked like medical equipment. I couldn't see past their hands what they were doing, but once they were ready they turned to face me again with a needle at the ready.

We all settled down in the common room. The earlier arrivals had the couches while the rest of us stood just behind them eager to listen. Mr Aizawa stood before us with All Might beside him in his true form, the principle stood with them and a police officer also. We all seemed to be waiting eagerly for one of them to start talking.
"Are we all here?" asked the principle. a few of the students nodded, but it was Iida who raised his hand and declared that all students from our class were present except of course Deku.
"Excellent" stated the principle, "then we can begin. As I'm sure you are all aware one of your class mates, Izuku Midoriya, was abducted off campus grounds two days ago. We have since identified the abductors," I held my breath waiting for good news. Had they found him already, was he about to walk in through the front door at any moment. I was so wound up with where this was going to a was digging my nails into the back of the couch that I was standing behind. Iida, who stood close behind, placed a hand on my shoulder as the principle continued.
"And with the help of the local police force," he raised a paw in the direction of the police officer standing close by, "we have traced the culprits to their hiding place and are preparing to rescue Midoriya" he finished by clenching his raised white paw and bringing it to his chest. He was clearly excited by this news himself.
"We thought that as a class you would all be concerned about Midoriya and wanted to keep you updated," started Mr Aizawa, "but there's more. You are all only steps away from leaving school and becoming pro heroes yourselves. The police force has asked for the assistance of heroes to help with this rescue mission. We don't know what sort of villains we will be facing or how many there are, but we have discussed it and decided that a small handful of students could come to help with the rescue efforts. This is voluntary of course, and no one is asking you to do it, but if you think you can be of use, really be of use to this kind of mission, then this is your chance"
The class as a whole seemed to be holding their breath. A hand shot into the air and all of our eyes followed it back to Yaoyorozu. When all eyes were on here she spoke.
"I wish to volunteer, I can create almost any tools we need, including first aid equipment. I could help with any injuries till an ambulance arrived" nobody spoke, but All Might gave a slight nod and the principle smiled.
"I would like to volunteer also. I can keep enemies back at a distance" it was Todoroki, looking as serious as ever.
"I too would like to volunteer," the voice was close and I looked back to see Iida looking to the teachers with a serious expression and a hand raised to the air, "I could search the area quickly"
I wanted to volunteer too. Midoriya was one of my closest friends here and I wanted to help him, to be there for him, but everyone else had such strong reasons as to why they should go. With my quirk and in this situation I didn't see how I could be as helpful as the others. I wasn't the only one thinking this. I could see it on the faces of some of the other students.
Mineta stared down at his feet, looking angry.
Kaminari, usually always bright and smiling, sat there twisting his hands with frustration
Ashido's eyes were half closed and growing teary.
"Hagakure, you would be excellent at checking out the area before anyone goes in" stated Iida looking in the direction of her floating uniform. She seemed to flinch as he spoke her name.
"I, I know," she started, fidgeting, "but I'm not very good if it came to a fight. I just don't have the confidence to go" her shoulders visibly slumped and Ashido, who was standing closest, put an arm around her shoulder. Iida looked down, no doubt feeling like he had embarrassed her.
"I would like to come as well," Jiro stood, looking determined, "I could find out how many people are inside," she hesitated and looked less confident for a moment, "that's if this is indoors?" she asked looking from one teacher to the next.
"Yes," answered the police officer, speaking for the first time, "it appears the area we will be searching is industrial buildings so a quirk like yours could be very helpful" Jiro seemed to be reassured by his words and sat back down.
"Anyone else want to volunteer?" Mr Aizawa asked scanning over us all with his tired eyes.
"Fine!" growled Bakugo, he seemed to be bristling, "I volunteer too and I'll blow anyone away who stops me"
Toshinori
I couldn't help to smirk at the class's determination. They seem to have all thought it through about how they would be most useful in the situation. I was proud of them. Young Bakugo of them all I felt the greatest pride for. He and Midoriya had a long and complicated friendship and despite how they behaved towards one another, mostly Bakugo in that case, it was clear to me that they cared a lot about one another. Young Bakugo would never admit such a thing, but I was fairly certain Midoriya already knew it too.
"All right then," started Aizawa after no one else had stood up to volunteer, "those of you who have volunteered please follow the principle and the police officer to discuss the rescue mission further" with that Principle Nezu and the police officer turned to lead the way out of the dorm. The students that volunteered all got to their feet and smiled to their classmates with great determination as they left to follow. I watched Uraraka, who I knew to be one of Midoriya's closest friends here, as she said some words to Iida before he too left. She looked pained to watch him leave with the others and she wasn't the only one.
"As for the rest of you, get some rest and don't feel down about this. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and I'm proud of you students that you all thought about it before deciding to volunteer or not. It shows that you have all grown since you've been here. No doubt if this was your first year most of you would have jumped up to volunteer," a couple of the students looked at one another and smiled, knowing it to be true, "but knowing your own limits and how best to use your quirks is important. You will all make fine heroes" Aizawa gave them a brief smile, a rare treat for them all and turned to leave also. He wasn't usually the sort for such speeches, but it just showed how much he cared for them all. I couldn't help but to smile to myself.
Uraraka
With Mr Aizawa's departure the class started to leave. Some stayed to talk about it, but most started to make their way back to their rooms. All Might, who hadn't moved, suddenly took on his hero form and bounded over to Hagakure and Ashido who still stood together. Ashido looked shocked. It wasn't often any of us got to see All Might in his hero form.
"Young Hagakure and young Ashido", he looked at both of them, "there is no need to feel down girls. Ashido," he placed a hand on her shoulder as she stared at him with shock, "you are not to blame for young Midoriya's disappearance. I know often we think we could have done more, but sometimes there is nothing to be done, but we need to look beyond that! So do not fret, you will see him back very soon" still leaving his hand on Ashido's shoulder he looked to Hagakure and more carefully placed his other hand on her shoulder, "and young Hagakure, Mr Aizawa was right, it shows great intuition to know your own limits when it comes to our role in a mission. You have come a long way, but there is yet further to go! We shall work together to make you more confident in yourself" he beamed down at them both for a moment longer, gave them an encouraging nod and then let them go. They both said thank you to him, sounding more hopeful and left for their own rooms. All Might stood up to his full height, placed his hand on his hips and surveyed the other students. We made eye contact for a second and then I turned to leave. Despite being one of our teachers he was sometimes a bit too much.
"Ah before you go Uraraka," All Might must have put on some speed for he suddenly slipped in front of my path, half bent to be at my eye level and with a hand raised. He had been so quick I squeaked from the shock of it. Now that he had my attention he stood at his full height before me.
"Sorry to have startled you," he began, "but I must say young Uraraka you look down, do you blame yourself for Midoriya's abduction?" he placed his hands on his hips as he waited for me to reply.
"I know I shouldn't, but I can't help but to feel bad about it. If I had just stayed with him and waited for him then he might not have been taken" I couldn't bring myself to look at All Might so instead I looked down at my shoes.
"Sounds to me like you have a case of survivor's guilt" stated All Might, "but do not worry, it will pass and Midoriya will be home safe soon!" he beamed down at me and with a weak smile I nodded to him. He shot me a thumbs up and rushed to talk to some other students who were still hanging around. It had been a long time since I had seen him in his hero form and I wondered how long he could hold it, as it was steam was already starting to come off of him.
