***Chapter Three***
Tonight was the night.
It was a stormy night. Lightning flashed across the dark sky, thunder was soon fallowing after. Rain poured from the sky, drenching the earth and the roof of the Malfoy mansion.
But while the walls on the outside shook from the thunder, the walls on the inside rumbled from the arguing couple.
"Why won't you let me go with you?" Abby shouted, pulling on his robe sleeve.
"It'll be way too dangerous," Draco try to calmly say, but his anger was soon rising from his rebellious mate. "Wands will be pointed and people will die. I could never put you through that. Ever."
"But Draco!" She whined, "I could help you! I could guard your back while you're shooting in the front." Abigail waved her wand around dramatically, staring at her Veela with desperate eyes.
"No."
"But—."
The young dark lord snarled with dominance, leaning down close to breath a warning in the female's face. "No buts! Abigail, I'm tired of discussing this. You. Are. Not. Going. And that's final!"
Abby finally surrendered, being the submissive mate she is. "Okay fine. Good luck." Then without kissing or hugging him, left the room and went up stairs to their bedroom, a mysterious plan on her mind.
Draco sighed, turning away and transporting himself on the roof where Lord Voldemort was waiting on his broom.
In a raspy voice, the former dark Lord spoke, "She'll have to learn to respect her mate more. If she was mine, I would smack her butt for questioning and raising her voice to me in such a way."
"But she's not yours, she's mine," he snapped. "And how I deal with it is none of your concern."
Voldemort raised an eyebrow, "I was just saying that maybe you need to be harder on her. Teach her whose boss."
Thunder clapped right above them as Draco turned a burning gaze towards the Lord. "Then maybe I should be harder on all of you then huh? If you want to keep telling me how to run my business then I should just end your life right now." He raised his hand, a purple light visibly started to spark to life, three orbs floated up, holding his soul in each of them. Voldemort tensed in seeing them. "I'll destroy them right now, or…you can shut up about my life and continue on with our mission and they go back to their hiding places."
Lord Voldemort nodded, flying into the stormy sky, not saying another word.
"Good choice," Draco sneered, sending the horcruxes back to where they were hidden.
The death eaters were set and ready to attack Harry Potter and all his protectors once they pass the safe field. Draco, dressed in green and black, had a look of determination on his face. His broom was steadily floating in the air, waiting for the perfect time to pounce. Lord Voldemort floated beside him; his ghostly face displayed a calm look of hatred towards the Potter kid.
"How long do you think they'll be?" Voldemort rasped, looking towards his younger leader.
Draco leaned forward, tipping his broom so he could peer down at the muggles that populated the city below. "They're about to leave now, we'll ambush them before they even realized we're here."
The other man nodded, "I'll tell the others," he said before flying away.
He smirked, loving the power.
Closing his eyes, Draco started thinking about his lovely Abby. He thought about holding her in his arms once he returns, kissing her on the lips as she congratulate him on destroying Harry Potter.
A gust of air and the smell of lavender made him snap open his eyes, looking for the source that smelled like his mate. He looked to the left above him and saw a death eater he didn't recognize. They were wearing his mother's robe and mask, using her broom as well. But his mother was at home, looking after his mate?
It must be an imposter! Draco thought. "Hey! You there!" He yelled at them.
The masked witch looked down with wide eyes. Purple orbs locked onto his. Draco's heart stop and one word crossed his mind.
Abby.
But before he could react, his mate took off, speeding away as fast as her broom could.
"Abigail! Come back!" he shouted after her, his broom bursting with energy.
Just then, a bright light exploded from the sky, mixing with the storm clouds and seeming like lightning to the muggles below. Wizards and multiple Harrys appeared everywhere.
Lord Voldemort's voice rang out, "Kill them all!"
But Draco wasn't paying attention to what was going around him. But more like reaching his mate in time before any other wizard mistakes her as being an actual death eater.
Dodging white beams, Abby' heart raced as she tried to escape the raging battle happening around her as well as trying to flee from her frantic mate. She should have never come! It was such a big mistake!
She was too busy focusing on not getting hit she didn't see Draco behind her till she felt a hand grip onto her arm and her mask was ripped off her face. She screamed as she was pulled off the broom and was dangling freely in the air. The broom went flying down to the city, breaking into pieces as it hit a brick building. The hand that held onto her arm tighten and when she looked up she saw the distress expression of Draco. "Hold on Abigail! I got you."
"I'm so sorry Draco! I wanted to help—."
"Now's not the time! Let me get you up!" But before Draco could pull his mate up onto his broom, a bright light started flying towards them. And when Draco was about to do a reflect spell, they both realized it wasn't a spell but a head light. Coming straight for them until…
BAM!
Draco was knocked away from his mate, forcing him to let go of her arm so it wouldn't break. Abby screamed as she landed in a side cart that was attached to a motorbike, falling into the lap of none other than Harry Potter himself. She looked up with fear, her wand nowhere to be found.
Harry raised his wand but stopped as he realized who it was. "Abs?" But before she could say anything, Hagrid pointed his wand towards her and yelled, "Stupefy!" knocking Abby out.
Harry pulled Abby to his chest, cuddling the girl he fell in love with at Hogwarts. He stared down at her beautiful face; her golden hair was still as soft as he remembered it.
Behind them, an angry male veela chased after them, casting spell after spell towards them. But right before his curse reached them, they disappeared in a bright ray of light, taking the most important thing in his life with them.
"ABIGAIL!"
