Chapter 3: she's definitely psychic

-lair-

Marissa was sitting on the couch watching the news. She took a deep breath as she waited for something interesting to come on.

"Hey, Mari!" Mikey happily greeted as he sat next to her.

"Hey, Mikey. What's up?" Marissa hummed more focused on the show before her.

"Just gettin ready to test out a new recipe," said Mikey.

Marissa looked fairly worried. "Oh that reminds me I totally had a weird dream last night were you Raph Donnie and Leo was attacked by the Shredder."

"Really? Shredder?" Mikey asked. He looked excited at the thought. "How'd we do? Did we kick his butt? Did Donnie get a kiss from April as a reward?"

"uh…...you don't want me to answer that question." Marissa bit her lip. When the others came over to the couch.

"Hey, Mari," said Raph. "Leo and I are heading to the dojo."

"I've gotta check on my new invention in the lab," said Donnie.

"Hum let me gess smoke bombs." Marissa asked half joking though she know she was right.

Donnie paused and turned around. "How'd you know that?"

"Holy crap I was right. I just saw it in a dream!" Marissa sais trying to act shocked. Secretly though she smirked.

"You dreamed I invented smoke bombs?" Donnie asked.

"And that we fought the Shredder," Mikey added.

"Yeah it was a very vivid dream."Marissa shrugged.

"So, you saw us kicking Shredder's butt? Cool," said Raph in a bragging way.

"No it's more like the other way around." Marissa rubbed her neck.

Raph's smile fell at the news. "What?"

"Yeah it wasn't pretty."

"You can't be serious," Raph said in denial.

"Guys!" April shouted as she ran in. And she looked freaked out.

"What's up, April?" Marissa said in a simple tone.

April sat down and breathed some calming breaths. Donnie held her hand as she spoke, "I… am being hunted…. By a giant pigeon."

Everyone was silent for a moment. And then Raph started laughing, earning some looks from his brothers and Marissa.

"I can't be the only one who finds that funny," said Raph.

"It's not funny Raph! There's a creature out there trying to hurt my April!" Donnie angrily shouted. And then he realized what he said. "Our April. April."

"This sounds serious. I better tell Splinter!" Mikey said and then went to get him.

"Huh I saw this in my dream to." Marissa rubbed her neck nervously.

Almost immediately, Splinter and Mikey came out of the dojo together.

"Michelangelo said you wanted to speak with me," said Splinter.

-After April's explanation-

Marissa looked fairly concerned. "This is so sounding like my dream."

"His talons were razor sharp. He would've torn me to pieces….. If he hadn't slammed into the glass," April said, finishing her story.

Raph started laughing again, only to be met by silence. "So it's just me then?"

"Raphael!" Splinter shouted. "Clearly April is upset."

"Yeah, man. That is so insensitive," Mikey scolded.

"This coming from the guy who laughed at Donnie," Raph remarked.

"Yeah. And remember what happened that time?" Mikey asked.

Marissa glared at them. "Well I'm officially freaked out." Marissa put her hands up in defeat.

"Don't worry, I have a plan to make sure that pigeon never bothers April again," Donnie declared.

"Oh yeah because that's what I was freaked out about not that my dreams coming true." Marissa coldly committed.

"What?" April asked, very confused.

"Apparently, today is a lot like Marissa's dream," Leo explained.

"You dreamt about today?" April asked. "You dreamt I was attacked by a pigeon man-Raph, I can see you snickering." Raph was snickering, but stopped at Splinter glaring.

"Yep and it ended with them being attacked by the Shredder." Marissa crossed her arms.

"The Shredder?!" Splinter asked in shock and fear.

"Nice," Raph sarcastically said to Marissa.

Splinter looked Marissa in the face and asked, "Are you certain of this?"

"Uh yeah…...I'm pretty sure metal foot symbol and your sons basically said his name..." Marissa rubbed her neck. "You know what it was just an empty dream probably means nothing."

"Even so, I'm not taking any chances," said Splinter, stroking his beard. "You boys are staying here until further notice."

"What?!" The turtles asked in disbelief.

"Seriously, sensei, it was a stupid dream. And April needs us. Are you really gonna make us stay down here because of Marissa's nightmare. No offense, Marissa." Donnie said looking to the girl who looked very offended.

"I'm sorry, but as a father, I cannot put my children in danger," said Splinter. "The Shredder is far too dangerous."

"Well I could go then. I'm definitely not your kid." Marissa commented running off.

"Marissa! Wait!" Splinter shouted while running after her.

"Now can we go." One of them asked.

Splinter sighed and said, "Yes. But if the Shredder appears, get away and come home. Understood?"

"Hai, sensei," said the turtles.

-with Marissa-

Marissa kept to the rooftops as she ran.

"Hey, Mari, wait up!" Raph's voice called behind her.

Marissa turned around and saw the turtles running after her. "Took you long enough." She held bread crumbs in her hands and jumped down onto the ground. "Look he may be your sensei and father but he's not mine and right now April needs help. And a stupid dream isn't gonna stop me."

"Us either," said Leo with a smile. "We're gonna help you."

"Good because I have bread crumbs."Marissa held up a bag of bread.

"You sure that'll work?" Donnie asked.

Marissa laughed and said, "It's a giant pigeon. Even if he was following April, he won't resist breadcrumbs."."

Marissa spread the crumbs on the ground and hid behind the garbage can. The turtles hid with her and waited. A few minutes later, a giant pigeon that looked half human flew down and started eating the crumbs.

"Holy Toledo," Donnie whispered. "I think that's him. He looks exactly like April described him."

"Told you it would work." Marissa laughed a little.

"Get him!" Leo shouted.

Right after he did that, all four turtles jumped out and tackled the pigeon to the ground. The pigeon struggled and tried to get free.

"Alright! Alright! I give!" He shouted in a whiney voice. "Geez Louise."

"Why were you stalking April O'Neil, pigeon man?" Leo asked in a demanding way.

"I have a name, ya know," said the pigeon.

"And we don't care what it is," said Raph.

"It's Pete," said the pigeon.

"Why were you trying to hurt April?" Mikey asked.

"I wasn't. I was trying to bring her a message," said Pete. Struggling a little. "From her father."

Marissa pulled him up for a moment. "Let me see the video."

"He said to give it to her," said Pete looking unsure.

"We're her friends. You can trust us," said Donnie. He even showed him a selfie they took.

"Okay. Here," he said while handing over the phone. "How'd you know it was a video? I just said message from her father."

"Dream." Marissa answered while accepting the phone.

"She's psychic," said Mikey a smile.

"She's not psychic." Donnie said crossing his arms.

"How do you know, D?" Mikey asked. "Because everyone says it's fake? You know, you shouldn't believe everything you hear."

"I'm pretty sure I'm not psychic." Marissa declared in a calm tone.

"Then how did your dreams predict everything that happened today?" Mikey asked.

Raph rolled his eyes and said, "Can we just get this message to April already?"

"Fine with me. As long as I don't have this conversation any longer." Marissa before they took off.

-lair-

Marissa was showing April the video. It was interesting to say the least well at least to April and the turtles.

In the video, April's father was telling her that the Kraang have something big planned but he was unsure what. However, he wanted her safe. So he told April to leave the city as soon as she could. The last thing he said before the video ended was that he loved her.

"I love you too, daddy," April said, hugging the phone while tears were threatening to break free.

Marissa patted April's back she wondered if something was gonna happen soon.

"Do you think that pigeon, Pete, knows where my father is now?" April asked.

"Oh he did. I got him to tell me by giving him the rest of the bread. Among a few other favors." Marissa smirked holding a card in hand.

"Then we're going there to save him," said April in determination.

"Whoa whoa! April, didn't you hear him? Your dad wants you safe. We have to get you out," Donnie said, trying to reason with his crush.

"I'm not going anywhere without my dad!" April stubbornly said.

"Besides we have to save him." Marissa sweetly told them.

The turtles looked at her sweet face and April's sad one. They started feeling bad. They started thinking how they might feel if it were Splinter.

"Well, we do need to figure out their plan," said Leo, now understanding. "Alright. Let's go get Mr. O'Neil."

April smiled and said, "Thanks, guys." and then she hugged Leo and Donnie.

Marissa smiled taking a moment to think of something. "Let's do this."

"Yeah. Let's move," said Leo.

-Kraang building-

Raph opened the vent for them to sneak in.

"Let's do this!" April excitedly said, ready to go inside.

"You need to stay here," said Leo.

"Are you crazy?! My dad's in there!" April argued.

"Along with who knows how many Kraang!" Leo reminded her. "This requires stealth and mobility. Let us handle it."

"I can't just sit here and do nothing," April said, arguing again.

"You won't be doing nothing," said Leo, and then he handed her a rope. "We need you to throw down this rope when we come back with your dad."

"This plans so gonna be fun." Marissa said in a sweet tone. Jumping down a smile. Forming on her face.

"Oh, you're not making Marissa stay behind?" April asked, pretty annoyed.

"She's got as much stealth and mobility as us," Raph casually said as they went inside.

"Besides have you met her? We couldn't stop her if we tried." Donnie said in a simple tone before catching up with the girl.

"Okay. Be careful," said April. She hoped they would succeed, and that she wouldn't lose them in the process; especially, in her eyes, Donnie.

Marissa was marching ahead, leading the way.

"Marissa, do know where you're going?" Raph asked. "We kinda need to find the control room. You know, to find out the Kraang's plan."

She opened the door to where it was a control panel. "Go for it."

"I've got this," said Donnie as he went inside. "You guys go get Mr. O'Neil."

"Mikey, you stay with Donnie," said Leo. "Raph and Mari come with me."

"Why am I stuck with Mikey?" Donnie asked with a whine.

"I don't want him," Leo argued.

"Then you stay with me and Raph can take Mikey," said Donnie.

"You think I want him?" Raph annoyingly asked.

"Hey! I'm starting to think nobody wants to be with me!" Mikey shouted.

"Because no one does also where did Marissa go?" Raph asked noticing the blonde was gone.

"Ugh! She went on her own again!" Leo groaned. "Come on, Raph. We better find her. Mikey, just watch Donnie's back while he tries to hack."

"Got it, Leo!" Mikey said with a salute while his oldest brothers left him and Donnie.

"I'd feel safer with Raph!" Donnie called, but it was too late. He sighed and went to work.

-With Marissa-

Marissa was working on a door when the other two arrived. They looked pretty annoyed too.

"You know, you ditching us is gonna get old really fast," said Leo.

"For you maybe me its a barrel if laghes. Besides I found something cute well I was here." Marissa pulled out a snake. To be exact it was a king cobra.

"Wah!" Leo screams while falling backwards. "That is not cute!"

"And aren't those things, oh I don't know, poisonous?" Raph asked, trying not to freak out.

"Yeah but she likes me. And it's venomous not poisonous." The snake in response wrapped around her wrist.

"Then it's dangerous," said Leo, shaking in fright.

"And yet this is normal for me. animals don't bite me. They love me."

"You don't say," said Raph, crossing his arms.

Marissa pet the cobra which the small creature didn't seem to mind. This was curious to the two turtles. However, they had to find April's dad, so they put that on hold for now and kept going.

"Here he is?" Leo said after finding a cell. "Mr. O'Neil!"

April's dad ran to the window and saw them. "You're the turtles who saved my daughter. And why do you have a king cobra?!"

"She's my pet." Marissa said with a smile.

"I have no idea what a cobra's doing here, though," said Raph while Leo started with the lock.

"Must be a lab animal," said Mr. O'Neil. "Is my daughter okay?"

"Oh yeah she's fine she waiting on the roof." Marissa commented cheerfully.

"She's still in the city?!" Mr. O'Neil asked in fear. And then he sighed. "That girl is so stubborn."

"Tell me about it," said Raph. "So, while Leo's working on the lock, maybe you can tell us what the deal is with the Kraang."

"The Kraang are aliens from another dimension. They call it Dimension X," Mr. O'Neil answered. "When the Kraang came here, they brought the mutagen with them."

"But why?" Leo asked while crossing wires. "What's the point of turning people into monsters?"

"That wasn't their original goal," Mr. O'Neil said. "The mutagen doesn't work here the same way here like it does in Dimension X. Apparently the laws of physics are different there."

"So they grabbing scientists to try to fix their problem," Leo concluded.

"Nice how's the lock going?" Marissa asked in a calm tone well petting the cobra and then placing it down. "Go bite some Kraang go on girl."

The snake seemed to understand and slither off.

"I've heard attack dogs, but that's the first attack snake I've ever seen," Raph commented.

"Kinda cool though, right?" Marissa smirked happily.

"Yep," said Raph. "So, Leo, the lock?"

"Getting there," said Leo.

"Guys!" Donnie screamed as they arrived. "The Kraang are gonna set off a mutagen bomb and disperse ooze all other half the city!"

"Also, there's a cobra biting Kraang back there," said Mikey.

Marissa laughed a little at that.

"You did that?!" Donnie asked in shock. And then he saw April's dad. "Hi, Mr. O'Neil. Your daughter's really nice." This caught Mr. O'Neil off guard.

"Yeah, Donnie. Talk later hack now." Marissa said pushing him over to the door. And ran over to Mikey and pushed him away from the button on the wall.

"What was that for?" Mikey asked in annoyance.

"With your luck, that button sets off the alarm," said Raph while Donnie crossed the wires and opened the door.

"Let's go!" said Leo.

"What about Marissa's new pet?" Raph asked. And then the cobra slithered over to her. "Never mind. Found her."

"Good job, Queen." Marissa cheerfully said a pure smile forming on her lips.

"We're really gonna let her keep a king cobra in the lair." Donnie asked Leo.

"They're clearly a bonded pair," said Leo. "Besides, she seems to know what she's doing."

Donnie didn't look so convinced. Nevertheless, they all started sneaking away. Once they made it to the vent, Leo started making pigeon noises.

"What's with the pigeon noise?" Marissa commented.

"I'm trying to be subtle when signalling April," said Leo.

"For Pete's sake," Raph groaned. "April! Throw the rope!"

April threw down the rope and looked down to see her father and her friends.

"Dad!" She called the four of them ran towards the roped marissa was the first to get to it and climb it.

"Well this plan went well." Marissa commented sweetly "So awesome."

"Kraang! The ones known as the turtles have broken into this place and are taking the one known as Kirby O'Neil!" a Kraang shouted as it rounded a corner.

"Seriously learn some grammar lessons, Kraang chumps." Marissa commented from the top of the roof.

"Kraang, there is another human with the ones called the turtles and the one known as Kirby O'Neil," a Kraang shouted while firing again.

The turtles deflected the shots with their weapons as the Kraang fired at them. Leo had each turtle go up one at a time along with Kirby. He might've stayed behind if Raph had not tied the rope around his waist.

"Pull!" Raph shouted.

Marissa and him both pulled as hard as they could and brought Leo back up. He ended up landing in front of Marissa's pet.

Leo saw the Cobra and gulped. "H… help…."

"Queen here girl." Marissa said the snake instantly obeyed.

"How is a King Cobra being so obedient with you?" April asked, a tiny bit nervous.

"Animals like me. I've never been scratched bit or anything really. Even bugs like me which is not mutual. Love arachnids though." Marissa shivered at that thought

"Thank you all," said Kirby, smiling. "Now save the city."

"We will," said Leo. They all ran off to find the bomb.

"You know where the bomb is, right?" Leo asked Donnie.

"I do," said Donnie while running. "It's on the roof of the Wolf Hotel."

-krang bomb-

Marissa quickly knocked out one of the Kraang while Raph got the other one.

"We make an awesome tag team," said Raph with a grin Marissa high fived him.

"Ok let's disarm this thing."Marissa said cheerfully.

Donnie opened it and freaked out. "Uh oh."

"What do you mean 'uh oh'?" Leo asked. "I thought you said you could disarm it."

"I didn't count on a design this complex, Leo!" Donnie barked.

"They're aliens from another dimension! What did you think it would be, a big round ball with a lit fuse that said bomb?!" Leo angrily shouted while miming an old cartoon bomb.

"No. But this-" Donnie began to retort.

"Just cut the green wire." Marissa coldly told him.

"What?!" Donnie asked, freaking out. "How would you know?! You've never seen this thing!"

"Just go with it," said Mikey. "She's been right about everything else so far."

Marissa looked at Donnie for a moment. "I'm not good under pressure and what if she's wrong!"

Then she noticed something. "Uh guys speaking of pressure." Marissa pointed to the side as Bradford and Xever jumped up to their side.

"Oh great," Raph groaned. "This is really a bad time."

"Actually, for us, it is the perfect time," said Xever

"Donnie, you focus on the bomb. We'll deal with them." Marissa said running over and charging at them. She really needed a weapon.

"You heard her. Get em!" Leo shouted and then charged at them with Raph and Mikey, while Donnie worked on the bomb.

The two fought taking each movement like a swift strike as they tried to kill their opponent.

Of course that was a little different with Marissa and Bradford. "Come on tough guy fight me fight me!"

"If Karai didn't want you alive, I would kill you like these turtles!" Bradford angrily shouted while punching. Marissa swiftly dodged.

"Yeah cause like it matters what Karai wants." Marissa did a backflip dodging and weaving each punch thrown at her.

"If she wasn't Master Shredder's daughter, I wouldn't give a damn!" Bradford shouted as he knocked Marissa down. Only he ended up on the ground himself.

"No one hits her on my watch!" Raph shouted.

"Guys! Marissa was right!" Donnie cheered as he joined the fight.

Marissa cheered just as they got them both near the mutagen bomb. Well until Bradford grabbed Marissa by the neck like an hostage in a bank.

"Get your damn hands off her!" Raph shouted.

"Sorry, turtle, but our boss wants her alive. I doubt he'll care about you though," said Bradford.

"Let her go now!" Leo demanded.

"Try and take her," Xever challenged them.

The turtles tried their best to think of a way to save Marissa. That was when Bradford looked at the tank.

"If I'm going down, I'm taking you all, and her, with me!" Bradford shouted.

"You fool!" Xever shouted.

Bradford stabbed the tank and the glass cracked. Once it broke, mutagen spilled all over him, Xever and Marissa the three of them fell over the edge with the mutagen.

"No!" The turtles screamed as they reached for her. Unfortunately, it was too late, she was gone, as were their enemies.

"Mari," Mikey said, on the verge of tears.

"This can't be," Leo said in disbelief.

"What have we done?" Raph asked, completely shocked.

"Splinter was right. We are cocky. And it cost us Marissa," Donnie said, staring.

Raph narrowed his eyes and said, "We need to go get her."

This caught his brothers off guard. "Raph, we don't know what that mutagen did to her," Leo told him.

"Like I care! She needs us!" Raph shouted.

"You four aren't going anywhere," said a deep scary voice. They turned to see none other then Shredder.

"Uh, guys, do you think that's…. The Shredder?" Donnie fearfully asked.

"It's definitely a shredder," said Raph, glaring at him. "Look, we don't have time to deal with you. Our friend needs help."

"Uh Raph I don't think he cares about that." Donnie nervously said.

"You are correct. I don't," said the Shredder. "It is a rather interesting story how my old friend came to teach ninjutsu to four mutant turtles. Maybe I will let you live long enough to tell it."

"You'll have to catch us first! Seeya, sucka!" Mikey shouted while pulling out an egg smoke bomb and throwing it on the ground. Instead of smoke, it was egg yolk. "Oh. Must've been the wrong egg."gg."

That was when Shredder attacked. He took down Mikey first by slamming him hard into the ground. Next, Raph was hit into a sign electrocuting him. Leo and Donnie tried to attack together, but he used his speed to take them down just as quickly.

The turtles continued to try to fight the Shredder. Unfortunately, they had no luck, even when working together. The Shredder was a ninja master and they were still students, so there was never a guaranteed victory for them.

Finally, the turtles held their weapons and all attacked at once. The Shredder was quick to strike back, taking them down one by one. By the time the Shredder stopped, the turtles could barely stand.

"You four fought well. But now, you die," he told them as he extended his claws.

The Shredder got ready to strike, when, suddenly, something covered in ooze fell on the roof. It was a giant fish with hands gasping for air. With him was what appeared to be a dog man. Finally, he saw a snake woman.

The snake woman was brown with hair like skin that looked like a cobras. The snakes eyes were green and slighted like a venomous snake.

"What is this?!" The Shredder asked in shock.

"M-Mari?" Raph asked.

The snake lady hands pulled herself from the ooze before slithering off below her.

"Mari!" Raph called, trying to stop her.

Unfortunately, he was too hurt and she was too fast. Leo saw that the Shredder was in shock over the other two, who turned out to be Bradford and Xever, and chose this as a time to escape. The other three followed their brothers lead and fled as well. As the turtles escaped, they could swear they heard the Shredder roar in anger. At that moment Karai appeared to see her father angry and the two henchmen changed.

"Father, what happened?" Karai asked looking around she half wondered if Marissa had come wigrabbino

"My men and your sister, are mutants!" The Shredder roared.

"What?!" Karai asked.

"And it's all because of those turtles!" the Shredder shouted, slashing a beem.

"It wasn't…. Them…." Xever gasped.

"Better get him into some water before he suffocates," said the Shredder while grabbing Xever. "Then you will tell me everything."

As the men left, Karai looked off in the distance. "I will find you, sister. And I will save you. And I will avenge you."

-lair-

The turtles told Splinter everything that happened. And he was devastated. April broke down in tears when she heard her friend was loose in the city in the form of a monster snake.

"To be exact she's a king cobra but sensei you were right. We were overconfident and because of us Marissa's out there somewhere as a mutant snake." Donnie said with a sad expression.

Splinter held his sons closely for a moment. And then he gave a serious expression as he spoke.

"We will not leave her out there alone. We will find her and bring her home," he said. "As for the Shredder, prepare yourselves, my sons. We are at war."
