(A/N): Here's the next chapter, hope it makes up for the long pause. I almost forgot about this story. But also I'd like to give thanks to all the people who followed and favorite my story. Plus the handful of reviewers; I appreciate it so much.

Players Gonna Play: Chapter Three

As the song started up, the girls got in their positions when song singing usually happens. Mirajane and Erza tossed everyone a hair brush or remote to sing into.

A messy circle was formed so everyone had their own space to dance in. You could almost feel the transition in the air.

Juvia spun into the center, her voice clear and strong:

Once upon a time

A few mistakes ago

I was in your sights

You got me alone

You found me

You found me

You found me-e-e-e-e

Lisanna hopped in, her hand raised high and her hand cocked to the side as she sung with her eyes closed:

I guess you didn't care

And I guess I liked that

And when I fell hard

You took a step back

Without me

Without me

Without me-e-e-e-e

Mirajane twirled in a small circle, her long, silky white tresses swirling around her. She threw her arms out wide, a giant smile on her face as her floaty voice filled the room:

And he's long gone

When he's next to me

And I realize the blame is on me

Cana's lazy yet harmonic voice rose as she flipped her hair over her small shoulder, putting a fist on her hip:

Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in

So shame on me now

Flew me to places I'd never been

Till you put me down oh

I knew you were trouble when you walked in

So shame on me now

Flew me to places I'd never been

Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground

Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

Levy stood twirling the brush in her hands, her soft voice taking the lead:

No apologies

He'll never see you cry

Pretend he doesn't know

That he's the reason why

You're drowning

You're drowning

You're drowni-i-i-i-i-ing

Erza's strong powerful voice boomed to the music, contrasting greatly with Levy's soft one:

And I heard you moved on
From whispers on the street
A new notch in your belt
Is all I'll ever be
And now I see, now I see, now I see
He was long gone
When he met me
And I realize the joke is on me

By this point everyone was joining in except for the sniffling blonde who took the song as something else. They all gripped the makeshift mics tighter and sang to her, Levy holding her hand:

I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I'd never been
Till you put me down oh
I knew you were trouble when you walked in
So shame on me now
Flew me to places I'd never been
Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble
Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

Finally Lucy wiped her eyes, gentle melodic voice ringing clearly:

When your saddest fear comes creeping in

That you never loved me or her or anyone or anything

Yeah

As Lucy sang her last line with all her hair, arms wide and standing full of emotion everyone else had full smiles. They all hooked arms and sang loud as possible together, acting like the friends they were:

I knew you were trouble when you walked in

So shame on me now

Flew me to places I'd never been

Till you put me down oh

I knew you were trouble when you walked in

So shame on me now

Flew me to places I'd never been

Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground

Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

Oh, oh, trouble, trouble, trouble

An unknown husky voice sang the last part to the song, stunning them into silence:

I knew you were trouble when you walked in

Trouble, trouble, trouble

I knew you were trouble when you walked in

Trouble, trouble, trouble!

They all turned around to see a familiar brunette with glasses smirking at them. Arms flew up as they proceeded to glomp the figure.

"EVERGREEN!"

The aforementioned woman just smiled gently and gave each girl a small hug or pat on the head. Her eyes zoomed in on the blonde, hands resting on her hips. Lucy just gulped and looked around before yelping as she was poked hard.

Evergeen had jabbed her again, yet softer this time, "Your older cousin tells me about how you and your friends hang out like this so I decided to drop by. You guys need booze or what?"

At that moment no one had noticed the brown sack she had carried with her. Cana instantly began to hug onto the older brunette, "C'mon big 'cuz. Lemme get some first. I'm second oldest here…well technically third since you're here."

The grouped looked at Mirajane, who in return just shrugged it off, "Doesn't bother me. But let's keep the hangovers to a minimum this time okay guys?"

Everyone agreed and had begun to sip drinks and talk. Somehow, Lucy and Levy started to just sob their story to Evergreen who calmly took it into thought, "You two should just move on as fast as they did then."

"EEHHHHH?!"

Erza looked at the 21 year old exasperatedly, "Evergreen don't push them already. Just let them get better for a bit. Let em heal first."

Lisanna nodded and bit into a cookie, "Yeah Green just let Levy and Lucy find their own way and we'll just support them."

Evergreen sighed and stood up, brushing off her fur laced coat, "Why don't you guys just lemme handle this? I'm older, I've dealt with these heart breaks before. I can teach them from my own mistakes better than you guys can."

The group shared shrugs and glances until Juvia tilted her head, "Evergreen, who exactly brought you here?"

At that moment they all froze, realizing that Evergreen didn't have a car and lived on the other side of town with Lucy's cousin, Laxus. The brunette just waved it off, a small hint of embarrassment blush creeping onto her cheeks, "Don't worry about it. But Luce, get me some clothes would ya? I'm crashing here with you guys."

The blonde groaned then left for a pair of pajamas, muttering about how she never got the last 5 pairs back either. When she left, they kinda all started to get their blankets in order to fall asleep and changed. Lisanna and Levy yawned before dozing off on a pile of blankets and pillows in the corner. That's when Evergreen brought Juvia, Erza, Mirajane, and Cana in for a talk.

"Look you guys. I heard from Loke that those two have been really down in the dumps. I've got the perfect two guys for them to start dating. It's –"

Erza hopped up from the circle, "Oh no! No way are you gonna let them get hurt again! Not now Evergreen."

The young adult just waved her off, "Chill girl. I've known these two bozos from years and I already know they've got crushes on them. So it'd work out fine."

Juvia put a finger on her lip as she thought, "But what about -?"

The door suddenly swung open to reveal Lucy carrying a deep green pair of cotton pajamas, "Here Evergreen, I had gotten these in your favorite color just in case you came over soon which is now."

She threw the clothes at her before snatching up a blanket and flopping on the biggest beanbag, snuggling into its soft warmth, "G'night guys. I'm tired."

As she fell asleep, that signaled everyone else to grab a blanket and go to sleep. The fatigue caught up with them and Mira turned off the light.
