Madam Pomfrey had just finished examining Nadia. She told her with a sigh that whatever it was that made her say such a strange thing must have worn off, but that her sugar levels appeared to be quite high.

"Did you eat anything dear?" She asked.

"Well there were some sugar quills in my trunk. But they said they were from someone called Alison, so I thought they were okay to eat"

"You ate multiple sugar quills?" asked Madam Pomfrey letting out another sigh. "People tend to spend an hour on just sucking on one of those"

"Oh. I kinda chewed them"

"Right well, get some rest. The effects appear to have worn off but we won't send you back for bit. Let me know when you're hungry and I'll get some food sent off. I'll be back later"

"Okay!" Nadia beamed back at Madam Pomfrey, who walked off somewhere out of sight. Nadia wasn't really hungry anymore after all those sweets. She'd skipped out on lunch that day because she'd been in a rush to get to Rachel's house on time (though she was still late) but after gobbling up more than 4 sugar quills, her tummy did not want more food. It was aching a little bit from her large sugar consumption.

Her hands dived back into her pockets. She felt the rough surface of some sugar quill wrappers in one pocket and in the other, her wand. She'd found it earlier when they had arrived at Hogwarts in the circular room and kept it with her since. She'd been the only one to have a good root through the bag and trunk they had acquired.

She pulled out the long thin piece of wood and held it in her hands. It was quite long and a little bendy. It was dark brown in colour and she could see it was covered in her grubby finger marks.

"Expecto Patronum!" she yelled, pointing her wand in the direction of the bed opposite her. But nothing seemed to happen from the wand she tried to do it again, but not even a wisp of silver escaped from her wand.

"Engorgio!" Again nothing happened.

"Wingardium leviosa" She did the movement for the spell carefully, remembering to flick out her hand at the end and focused on the cover of the bed opposite. Still nothing happened.

"Lumos!" A flicker of bright light escaped her wand. "MERLIN'S BEARD, I'M A WITCH!".

She allowed her wand to tumble out of her hand onto the bed in her shock. She'd been messing around, but she'd never thought anything would actually happen. This was the greatest discovery she had ever made. She was sure it would be enough do to the patronus charm.

"What an earth?" Madam Pomfrey's voice came in the distance and Nadia could hear her footsteps approaching.

For some reason Nadia was starting to feel quite warm and she smell something a bit unpleasant, like something being singed.

"Oh no" She breathed looking down at the covers. A spark from her wand must have brushed one of the sheets because it had started burning."No, no" She began blowing at the flame, trying to put it out, as the fire crept towards her. Her blowing became more desperate and she retreated backwards, with her back firmly pressed against the wall.

Whoosh! Water shot from the tip of Madam Pomfrey's wand and onto the bed, dousing the flame, but soaking Nadia too.

Nadia stopped and blinked for a moment. Water dripped off her and onto the sheets. "Was that the Augmenti Spell?"

Madam Pomfrey ignored her and instead pointed her wand at her again. She felt a rush of air as her clothes began to dry.

"Dear me," Madam Pomfrey said, almost to herself "You really must have eaten something with powerful magic on it, if I can't detect it" Her voice grew louder as she addressed Nadia "You are not allowed to leave here unless I tell you. Understand? And you're not to be messing about with your wand either." Madam Pomfrey picked up Nadia's wand and set it down on the beside table, giving Nadia a stern look.

Nadia's eyes trailed after her as Madam Pomfrey left and then focused back on her wand. She wanted to just hold it, feel the wood between her fingers. No. She would not allow something stupid to happen again.

The next day, Nadia still hadn't been allowed back out of the Hospital Wing. Something that she was finding extremely frustrating. All of her meals had been brought to her on a tray and she was annoyed. She at least wanted to eat with everyone else, but Madam Pomfrey was convinced she needed to stay.

She plunged her hand into her black leather school bag and retrieved the City of Glass. The thought that the people in that book too could exist, gave her so many feels.

Hours passed as she read.

"Would you please shut up? Those incessant whining noises are hurting my ears. What is Malec anyway?"

"Agh!" Nadia jumped at the voice coming from beside her, clutching her book tightly to her chest.

Draco smirked "Relax I'm not going to take your stupid book."

"Stupid?" She asked quietly feeling slightly offended at the insult. If it wasn't for the fact she was slightly in awe at seeing Draco for the first time, she might have made a bigger deal out of it. Her eyes swam over to the sling around the shoulder and she smiled in recognition. He must have been attacked by a hippogriff not long ago.

"Interesting turn of events yesterday," Draco drawled.

"Hmm" replied Nadia by way of agreement. It certainly had been, arriving in this place, though of course Draco wasn't referring to that.

"You going to do anything about it?" He asked. "Must have been mortifying being dragged out of the hall like that. I suppose you're going to find the culprit. I know I would. I'd get them expelled. I'm telling my father about the incident with my arm of course. See if we can get that great giant expelled for unleashing a hippogriff on me. I mean the Gamekeeper of course, for some reason they actually trusted him with a class, can you believe? He's this savage that lives on the grounds, sort of like a servant really and they let him near children. Its ridiculous, I'm sure he won't have his job much longer though.

"YOU!" Nadia jumped to her feet."Hagrid is not a savage! He's amazing!"

"Really?" Draco smirked and Nadia continued to rant.

"He's amazing! The best gameskeeper Hogwarts has ever had and if you dare to say something so awful again, I'll show the world my shirtless picture of you and Malec is awesome by the way. Its a ship name of these two guys and I cannot believe you insulted the Mortal instruments you, you mean boy"

Draco laughed "Mean boy?" Then he stopped. Shirtless picture? "What picture?"

"Oh its just this picture I have of you," said Nadia

Draco sneered "As if you'd have a shirtless picture of me. I bet you just wish you could see my body. You're just making threats aren't you? Not so tough are you and anyway, it's not like I'd care. There's nothing wrong with my chest."

"No! I've seen Tom Felton's plenty of time on photos and I do have a picture of you, well technically, well that's not important but I do"

"Who's he?"

"No one important"

"What the hell are you on about?" asked Draco looking at the girl "I'm guessing the effects of whatever it was you ate still haven't worn off have they?"

"I'm fine!"

"Right," Draco stared up at the ceiling.

Nadia delved back into her book. She hadn't been lying about those pictures, but Draco didn't have to believe her. Inside her bag in an A4 book that was decorated with random pictures of the Harry Potter cast, were pictures, sketches and her favourite fanfiction extracts for the majority of her fandoms. Nadia took it with her everywhere and often scribbled in notes about her story ideas by the images, as well as decorating the edges of various photoshopped Drarry and Wolfstar pictures with hearts, of course.
