Link slowly walked towards the front gate. He trudged past Ichiriku's, not even realizing that Ayame waved at him. He was still in shock from what occurred with Zelda, even though it was a couple weeks ago. Even on their missions . Why was she scared of him? Did he do something to her in school? And why did Impa show up? He kicked an empty can of pop, the exact kind that the chubby nice kid Choji constantly drink. There was a lot of questions, and he figured that he would have to wait for answers. He was quickly taken out of his thoughts when he heard an extremely loud voice. He looked up and saw Kuro nodding and bobbing his hand above his head in a rhythm.
"Killer B is the name and I'm proud of it! To all my haters around the world you can suck my- oh what's up Link?" Kuro approached Link with a fist raised and a huge smile on his face. Link looked at it cautiously and slowly bumped fist with him.
"It seems we're the first ones here!" Kuro yelled, whilst still bobbing to his music. "I was here for a few minutes before you came!"
Link cringed and pointed at his ears. The brown skinned genin chuckled and took off his headphones, but let It hang on his neck.
Although they were always in the same class, Link never paid much attention to Kuro. He now saw that he stood a few inches taller than him, easily at 5'7 already. His red hair was kept in a short ponytail at the moment, and his nose was pretty large. His shades lens were a dark blue, Link wasn't sure of the kids eye color. Today he wore a broadsword on his back, which was larger than any sword that Link had ever held a wide smile.
"So what do you think we're doing today? I mean we are already a part of the team, so maybe we start our missions!" Kuro yelled, obviously enthused about being a ninja.
Link looked at the kid and smiled. "I'm not sure, but I hope it involves saving lady Zelda." As he said this , he held his hands together and made kissing faces. This caused Link to laugh.
"Well it doesn't." The boys froze. They slowly turned around and was staring into the red eyes of an enraged Impa. They both gulped as sweat poured down there faces and necks. Kuro laughed as he scratched the back of his head.
"I-I-Impa Sensei!" Kuro said with an obviously shaky voice. He then looked beside her and saw Zelda. Her face matched Impa's eyes and she continued staring at the ground. "H-h-h-hey Z-Zelda..." Kuro said. Zelda whispered a barely audible hello as she turned a deeper shade of red.
When Link looked at Zelda he closed his eyes and sighed. He took a step towards her, but halted as his Sensei gave him a death glare. He gave her a quick glance of anger before he stepped back.
"Hey Zelda." Link said in a soft voice, masking his anger for the timid girl.
Zelda flinched. She quickly looked up at Link. "Hi," she whispered as she looked back at the ground I'm front of her."
Link slumped a bit. He quickly looked to the left, avoiding eye contact with the duo. Kuro quickly looked at his two teammates.
"So Sensei," Kuro said, quickly changing the subject, "what's the plan for today?"
Impa looked at the red headed student. "Follow me." she said while taking to the trees. Kuro and Link looked at each other, and Kuro shrugged. He took to the trees. Link looked behind him and saw Zelda quickly turn her gaze from him. Link was hurt, and he silently took to the trees. He swiftly caught up with Kuro. They jumped silently together.
Link loved jumping through the trees. He felt as though he were one with the forest. He loved the rush of the wind through his hair, and the feeling of a branch barely bending as he jumped on it. He had an unusual bond with nature, unlike his best friend Naruto who was hated by animals for some reason.
Link peeked over his shoulder as he heard a branch creak behind him. He saw Zelda jumping behind them, keeping a small distance between herself and them. Link looked ahead and caught up with his Sensei, which shocked Kuro causing him to gape in awe, just as soon as she exited the forest.
The two ninja landed in the center of a training field. Link knew this field, this was where he and Naruto would come to spar. The field was so great because it didn't allow any way to hide, it was over three miles of wide open field. The two kept running through the field side by side.
Impa looked to the side and stared at the blonde kid. 'Hmph, the kid thinks he can keep up? Let's see about that.' Impa put a bit of chakra in her feet and dashed forward.
Link was shocked for a moment, he then smirked. 'She wants a race?' Link looked back as he saw the two genin finally land out of the forest. 'Let's give them a show!'
Link flew forward with a burst of speed. His feet were moving swiftly across the ground, picking up speed all the while. The duo was nearing the end of the training field in less than twenty seconds, going neck to neck with each other. Link smiled as they neared the end. ' I got her!' He thought.
Impa suddenly sprung forward and halted, reaching the end of the field five seconds ahead of Link. Link stopped running and was leaning over panting, trying to catch his breath. He looked up at Impa, who didn't seem tired in the least. Is this the speed of a Jonin? He wondered.
Fifteen seconds later and Kuro caught up, followed shortly by Zelda. They both were panting heavy as well.
"What... The...heck?" Kuro panted out. He was knelt down on one knee, looking up at his Sensei.
Impa sat with her eyes closed silently for a few seconds. After the genin caught their breath, she began to speak.
"I recently learned that it's good for teammates to know each other personally. We didn't properly introduce ourselves. I'll lead, and you follow the same format. My name is Impa Yami. I like dark rooms and silent kids. I don't like large crowds or music." She turned and glared at Kuro, who froze from his nodding to his music. He slowly pressed the off button and removed his headphones. "My aspiration in life is to protect someone... Even if it costs me my life." She growled the ending quietly. She the looked at Kuro. "Now you."
Kuro smiled largely, showing pearly white teeth. He pointed to himself with his thumb. "Yo! I'm Kuro Fumei. I like... Killer B and pretty girls." He looked google eyed at Zelda. She blushed again and looked away. Kuro's smile was quickly washed away when he noticed Impa glaring at him. "Umm... I dislike big bodies of water and rude people." He scratched his chin. "What else I got to say?" he asked.
"Aspirations." Zelda said while still looking away.
"Thanks." Kuro smirked and stood up. He cooly wiped his nose. "I would like to be the strongest ninja in the history of ninja!" He said.
Impa smiled inwardly. She wasn't shocked at his dream, it was usually the same for every genin, or at least she assumed that since this was her first class. She looked at Link.
Link glanced at Impa and took the visual point she was giving him. "My name is Link Namikaze. I like the forests and nature, and children as well. I dislike snobs and power hungry people. My dream..." His blue eyes shined with an unnatural light. He balled his fist together,"is to be a ninja even greater than my father!" His voice rose slightly as he said the last part.
Impa looked at the kid with a raised eyebrow. Kuro smiled at the ninja, his respect growing even more for him. Zelda blushed and stared at him with her mouth slightly ajar.
Link was no longer paying his team any attention. He was staring off into the meadow, watching as a gust blew across the field. He peeked at the sky, which was slowly becoming dark. 'Huh, didn't know that it called for rain today...' He thought.
Impa let out a fake cough, which caused the three students to glance up at her. Impa held her eyes closed. "Zelda..." She muttered.
The quiet girl cleared her throat. She looked at the ground as she spoke. "My... My name is Zelda Hyrule." she said barely audible. "I enjoy... reading and music." Kuro beamed widely at this. " I dislike..." Link could see a hint of sadness quickly wash over the girl. "I wish to be very knowledgeable, and a great Kunoichi..."
"What don't you like?" Link asked softly.
Zelda's eyes shot up at the boy. "I...I..."
"Get down!" Link suddenly dived forwards and covered Zelda with one arm, whilst swiftly removing a kunai and deflecting three that were coming towards them.
"Whoa whoa whoa!" Kuro yelled. He jumped to his feet, and very shakily removed his sword from his back. He glanced from side to side.
Impa instantly tensed up. How did she not sense these enemies? She instantly jumped between her students and the direction of the kunai.
Link stood up straight and stared at the trees. He knew that something fowl was going on!
"Show yourselves!" Impa demanded. She stood still with her arms crossed.
"Very well." A calm voice responded. Suddenly four ninja landed in front of the quartet.
The first was a lady. She was dressed in an low-cut dark-gray and black spandex top that prominently displays her cleavage with two crossed belts on the upper part of each sleeve. The neckline is trimmed in fur, and the hem and sleeves have ornate lace edges. Her legs are wrapped with belts which covers her spandex pants. The ladies hair was braided, except for her long forlock: the braids are tied into a knot with four ornamented pins, and four bead-tipped braids falling from it. She wears many accessories: a necklace of purple round beads, a small one of white beads, and another of red and blue beads; rings and many earrings. She uses purple makeup and nail polish.
Beside her was a girl with blue hair. She wore a bright pink skirt with black leggings under them. Her dress was decorated wit a blue cross design. Her hair was held together with a yellow band. She looked to be fourteen.
To the left of the blue haired girl, there was another boy. He appeared to be fifteen. He stood about as tall as Kuro. His skin was fair and he wore a grey white and black shirt. His pants consisted of some beige slacks. His sandy blonde hair blew in the slight breeze. The boy had a knife on his waist, as well as a blade on his back. On his waist he held a ninja pouch.
On the other side of the lady was a short kid. He looked to be nine. Impa recognized the red kimono he was wearing, he was obviously a monk, or once was one. His head was shaved, as well as being occupied with dots.
Impa scanned the four ninja. The older lady could definitely pose a threat, if not to her than definitely to her students. She also noted that these ninja all wore a headband.
'They're from the Village hidden in the Mist!' Impa thought instantly realizing that these children could be more dangerous than she previously assessed.
"What are you doing in the hidden leaf? If you lie, you die." Impa glared at the only other woman present. She was surprised to see a small smirk on the ladies face.
"I'm here for just one thing... her." The lady pointed at Zelda with one of her pedicured fingers. Zelda visibly shook. She was shocked to see Link stand in front of her. Link glared at the lady.
"If you touch her, I swear..." Link ended the statement by lowering into an attack stance. Kuro just gulped and gripped his sword tighter, sweat dripping down him in quick volleys.
"Sensei, are we allowed to engage?" The bald kid asked the lady. He was given a curt nod.
"Yes but kill them quickly. If any of you hurt the girl... well, you know what will happen." The blue haired girl visibly gulped. The taller boy smirked, which was followed by a nod from the shorter.
"Hurt her? You would have to touch her first!" Link created two clones. He and one of the clones ran towards the blonde kid and the blue haired girl. They both went through a few hand signs. "Wind Style! Gale Breath Jutsu!" They inhaled and exhaled a large burst of air. The blonde kid smirked and jumped out the way, while the girl was surrounded by ice.
"Heh heh that almost got me... Well not really." The boy jumped backwards swiftly, dodging the multiple blasts of wind he was being barraged with. He chuckled as he took the woods.
"Oh no you don't!" Link jumped in after him.
Impa and the lady jumped at each other attacking. Impa used a small sword, while the other lady used a senbon. Impa went for a high slice but was blocked and kicked in the gut. She grabbed the foot and twisted it. The lady landed on her hands and twisted back to kick with the other foot. Impa slapped the foot to the side. The lady landed hard on her back. She quickly went through some hand signs.
"Fire style! Fire Geyser!" Impa quickly jumped away as a burst of lava flew from the earth. She dodged again, and jumped backwards as two more shot up. Link grabbed Zelda and jumped away as a burst of lava shot up beneath where they once stood. Lulu stood up and dusted herself off. "You are pretty fast, but I'm not concerned." Impa glared at her, knelt on one knee prepared to strike. "I wonder if Nash finished off the brat yet."
Impa smirked at the lady. "You should be more concerned about your student."
"Hmm I'm guessing he's your star pupil," the lady said. She smiled and motioned towards the bald kid. "Well there's mine. I hope that kid can fight." Impa glanced at Kuro. She was suddenly scared for the boys safety.
Kuro and the short kid stared each other down. Well, Kuro stared at the kid, but the kid kept his eyes shut. Kuro was still shaking a bit. He was shocked when the kid started speaking.
"Greetings. I am Omi Xiao. I will be your opponent today." He bowed at Kuro.
Kuro stared at the boy with a confused look. "I'm Kuro Fumei." He forced out, gripping his sword even tighter.
"I apologize Kuro, but I must defeat you." Omi said. Kuro gritted his teeth and glared at the kid.
"Don't underestimate me!" Kuro yelled as he rushed at the kid. Kuro swung his large sword at him. Omi kept his eyes shut and side stepped the blade. Kuro growled and swung again. Omi stepped away, still not opening his eyes. Kuro wildly started slashing at the boy, but was getting evaded as if he wasn't there.
Kuro paused and was heaving. He was getting angry. He charged energy into his blade and swung at Omi. Omi jumped and landed on the blade.
"I'm sorry." He said. Omi kicked the kid in the face. The kick was powerful enough to separate him from his blade and made him fly a few feet. Kuro struggled to his feet as Omi approached him. Kuro glared at the boy. He gritted his teeth. "This will only hurt for a moment." Omi went through hand signs. "Water Style! Tsunami kick!" Omi's body was surrounded by water, like a tornado of water.
"C-crap!" Kuro grunted. He heard Zelda call his name. He looked to the left and saw her go through some signs.
"Diamond Barrier!" Zelda yelled. A purple dome surrounded Kuro. When the tornado struck the dome, a large crash could be heard for miles.
"Kuro!" Impa yelled. She started to run towards him, but halted as a wall of fire appeared in front of her. She looked at the lady and glared.
"This is between them. Won't it be unfair to intervene?" She said sweetly. Impa ran towards her, but stopped as fire appeared in front of her. Impa jumped, and wasn't surprised as fire appeared above as well. "I see that you finally realized my fire prison. Just sit patiently and watch as your students are taken care of. "

Team 7 was walking through the town. Kakashi gave them the day off, and they were soon to separate.
"Sasuke, now we have all day to go on a date!" Sakura said. Naruto cringed at this.
"No." Sasuke said. He pushed his hands deeper in his pockets. He could just run off and leave the two, but he didn't feel like being alone right now. It'll only make him think of-
"Sasuke!" Naruto yelled, causing him to jump out his thoughts. Sasuke lazily looked at the blonde. He didn't respond, just stared. "I challenge you to a duel!"
"Naruto leave Sasuke alone! You should be tired of getting beat up all the time anyway!"
Naruto glowered at the girl. He loved her, but he sure wish she was nicer to him. Sasuke smiled at him.
"It's your unlucky day, Dobe. It's a nice day to spar." He said whilst smirking.
"Hehehe follow me!" Naruto took to the buildings of Konoha. Sasuke jumped up with him.
"I'm coming too!" Sakura followed behind her two teammates.
The students didn't realize a ninja watching them from the trees. "This should be interesting!" She said as she followed behind the trio.
