All eyes are on me in the circle, especially Jennifer, she's staring at me with such content. I want to use this moment to make myself seem only problem is I am just a regular teenager who is not at all interesting. So what am I suppose to say, all eyes are fixated on me and I need to at least say something. I begin with my name " My names Isabelle Fuhrman" I need to continue, my heart is racing I am not the type for public speaking. Maybe I should try telling them about my life story do you want to bore them to death Izzy worth a shot " I was born in Washington DC and raised in Atlanta. I first started acting when I was nine and was in a commercial, this then lead my career as an actor from going into a TV series called 'Justice'"
I take a deep breath to settle myself and start again " As some of you may know my main roles are from Movies such as 'Orphan' and 'Salvation Boulevard'. To me I am more than an actor I am a lover of music such as the Beatles. I like to get deep inside my characters and try and understand what makes them who they are. I am also a big fan of The Hunger Games series and have read the books." "Thank you for listening"
For a moment everyone stays silent,I then feel as if I have said too much. That I truly have bored them to death with my pathetic lifestyle. Then I see Jennifer start to open her mouth and speak " I too Isabelle, like to get in touch with my characters, It helps me have a great connection with the character to be more convincing to the audience. You need to have empathy with your own character, then how else are you going to be able to play the part." Everyone in the circle then nods and I feel and enormous amount of relief. I feared that this day was not going to start well. Yet Jennifer seems to be my light at the end of the tunnel, my saviour and protector.
We all finish talking about ourselves and Gary goes to show us around the set. He shows us the set of the training room, where our characters are seen preparing for the arena. I look at all the weapons and immediately find my character Clove in myself. I see her in myself when I l spot the knives. Knives were her specialty in the games. Katniss even refered to her as ' the girl with the knives' I grab the knife and feel the sharp blade. I then start to feel the sharp edges as Jennifer comes along and says" channeling your inner Clove I see" I begin to blush and try and cover it up, by waving my hand infront of my cheeks, acting as if it's hot. I then tell her " What about you have you found your bow and arrow" she then gives me a small laugh " Oh the bow yes, That was the first thing I laid my eyes on, I can't wait to use it." She is perfect for the role of Katniss, I Am glad Gary chose Jen and not me. I think Clove suits me better. "Jen, can I call you Jen" she then smiles "yeah sure Isabelle" I then continue " I am so glad you got the role of Katniss, I can not see anyone else playing the role other than you. " she looks flattered by my words and says " Now aren't you a bowl of sunshine, Isabelle I am going to enjoy working with you" with those words it settles my heart and makes me feel as though I am gently flowing across a river.
After everyone has finished looking around Gary wants us to actually start training. I depart from Jennifer and then start training for my character Clove.
