Aquacorde Town
I looked around Aquacorde town for my friends and saw them where we had sat yesterday. "Hey!" I shouted running over to meet them. I stopped near the table catching my breath. Man it's hard t run and shout at the same time.
"Oh hey Calem." Serena said "I'd just given everyone some Pokeballs do you want some."
"Yes, please, thank, you." I gasped between each breath. "And, some, water, I, ran, all, the, way, here." I sat down before I fainted.
Serena gave me ten Pokeballs, which I took gratefully, and a glass of water, which I downed in one.
"So you guys ready to start an adventure or what?" I asked jumping out of my chair.
"Yeah!" They all shouted at once.
"Then lets go!"
Avance Trail
"Nidoran Take Down!" I commanded. Nidoran charged inflicting a bit of pain on himself as he did so. The Weedle was hit by a force it wasn't expecting it was knocked upwards and then came crashing back down to earth. It was dazed and unwary so I took the chance. "Now watch what happens here Shauna this is how you catch a Pokémon." Serena said "First it goes inside." I snickered "Then the it wobbles" I burst out laughing "What's so funny!" Serena demanded.
"Oh nothing." I replied.
"And to think I was about to congratulate you on a good catch."
"Thanks." I turned away hoping no one saw my blush. I gasped.
"What is it now..." Serena turned and saw what I saw. It was a massive hoard of Pidgey coming right at us.
"Fenniken let's go!"
"Froakie I choose you!"
"Piplup show them what you got!"
"Chimchar we've found ourselves a dance partner!"
"Nidoran confusion!" A few Pidgey went down but they kept on coming.
"Fenniken ember!"
"Froakie bubble!"
"Piplup bubble as well!"
Chimchar use ember too!"
More Pidgey went down but there were just too many of them.
"Go Pokeball!" It was Trevor.
"Fenniken ember let's go!"
"Nidoran Poison tail!"
"Chimchar use scratch!"
"Froakie Bubble!"
"Piplup Pound!"
"We can't beat them all!" I shouted over the rapid beat of wings.
"No, but if it gets to the town what then!" Serena told me.
"Leave this to me!" I heard a voice shout "Surskit Ice beam!" It shot of ice hit all the Pidgey and sadly everyone who used a close combat attack. "I'm so sorry!" I heard the voice say with genuine concern.
"It's fine." I picked up my Nidoran and sprayed a potion on his wounds. "Nidoran you did great now return." A red beam hit him and he was sucked in to the Pokeball.
"Who are you anyway?" I asked the woman.
"The names Viola and I'm the Santalune City gym leader." She had blonde hair and wore a grey t-shirt and green jeans. "Surskit return." A red beam hit the Pokémon and it was sent into the Pokeball. "I'm guessing that your challengers?"
"Sure am." I said
"Well then I'll meet you at Santalune City." She said and ran off.
She was a feisty one. "Shall we continue on then?" I asked no one in particular.
"Lets, and I want to get into the cover of the trees so we don't have to deal with something like that again." Serena said.
Santalune Forest
"I, can't, believe, that, I, actually, got, one." I said holding up the Pokeball in the air. "I thought I was really lucky because you don't even get them here in Kalos. I mean a Seel!"
"Yes, Yes you were very lucky I mean you've been saying it since we passed the river with it in." Serena said in an irritated manner. "Well I thought Shauna was very lucky finding that Fletchinder."
"I know!" Shauna beamed "I'm going to call you Singe! Yeah! Go Singe!" The Pokeball flew out of her hand and Shauna just missed catching it. "Damn it." The Fletchinder looked up at Shauna whilst she went to get it's Pokeball. "Pokedex, nickname Fletchinder Singe." The Fletchinder looked at Shauna acknowledging it's new name. "Yay!" Shauna beamed.
A Weedle shot down from the tree and I took this as an opportunity to train my own Weedle. "Go Weedle." There was a flash of light and my Weedle was standing in front of me. "String Shot!" My Weedle sent out a shot of string and encased its opponent. "Now use tackle!" Weedle launched itself and hit it's opponent. "Anyone want a Weedle?" I asked.
"I do!" Trevor shouted "Go Pokeball!" His Pokeball flew through the air and hit the Weedle just as it got out of it's string clothing. The Weedle went inside the Pokeball and it was captured.
"Well done Trevor." I said patting the small guy on the back.
"Thanks but it was thanks to you that I managed to catch it." he said "I know I'll nickname it so we don't get confused right so how about Needle?"
"Sounds great." I replied. "Wait is it just me or is it getting dark out here?"
"Yeah your right we should probably set up camp." Serena said. Then there was a rustle in the bushes next to her. "Tags it." she whispered. "Go Fenniken." Her Fenniken appeared in a flash of white but the bush kept on Rustling. "Use scratch." She whispered. Fenniken's claws extended and she jumped into the bush and out ran a Pansage. It hit Fenniken with it's tail. "Ember!" Serena shouted. Fenniken blew of flames from it's mouth and they hit the Pansage. "Alright then. Go Pokeball!" Serena through the ball and it hit the Pansage and sucked it in. It wobbled, once, twice, three times and there was a beep and it was captured. "Looks like I've got a rare Pokémon as well Calem."
"Actually," Trevor contradicted "Pansage is only uncommon in this area but the other two Pan's are rare whilst a Seel is Ultra rare so I hate to break it to you Serena but Calem still wins."
Serena then marched over to Trevor and slapped him hard. "Damn you Trevor." She then began to set up her tent in a very aggressive manner.
"I guess we should do the same." I said helping Trevor up, then unpacking and setting up my own tent.
I was the first to finish putting my tent together so I went out to gather up some fire wood. Then I saw two Pikachu sat under a tree. "Go Nidoran and Chespin. Chespin Vine whip. Nidoran use Poison Tail." Then the battle commenced. The Pikachu were faster than I thought. They both looked up and quickly countered both moves with quick attacks. "Nidoran Chip Away! Chespin Rollout!" Both Pikachu's were knocked off there feet and went flying. "Go Pokeballs!" Two Balls were thrown and both captured a Pikachu. I captured two because I knew how much Trevor wanted one. Then I headed back to camp my Pokémon at my heels.
"Trevor I have a present for you!" I shouted
"Yeah what is it?" He asked looking at me from over his shoulder whilst trying to set up his tent at the same time.
"A Pikachu."
"REALLY!" He jumped and cheered like a little boy who had just got permission to get an ice-cream from the ice-cream truck.
I Pikachu's Pokeball at him and he registered it on his Pokedex as I did with mine. "What's all the commotion about?" Serena asked coming out from her newly made tent. "And where's the fire wood you were meant to bring back?"
"Crap." I explained it all in one word.
"So instead of getting the firewood you got two Pikachu instead, so how many Pokémon is that now, four I think?" she asked in a judging tone.
"Yes..." I replied.
"Well you've already got two out so get some firewood!"
I ran to get away from the she-devil in training and found where I had caught the two Pikachu earlier and found the stack of firewood which I had collected so far. "Chespin use Vine Whip to grab that stack of firewood. Then go back to camp and start the fire and stay there. Me and Nidoran will grab some more. Now go" Chespin did as he was told and went back to camp. "Nidoran," the poison Pokémon looked up at me. "Let's get some firewood for the she-devil."
"Nidoran!" The Pokémon jumped onto my shoulder and we started gathering.
When we arrived back at camp Chespin charged at me and jumped onto my other shoulder. "Good to see you too buddy. Return." A red beam hit both Pokémon and I clipped both Pokeballs to my belt and walked over to the campfire and sat down next to Serena. I put the firewood down on the pile next to the campfire but not as near as to the fire as to light it on fire.
"I didn't know it takes half an hour to collect firewood." Serena said sarcastically.
"I was out for like five minutes." I replied.
"Sure you were." She said rolling her eyes.
"Well you lot should hit the sack, I'll take first watch."
"I'll stay out with you," Serena said "Knowing you it'd be five minutes before you fell asleep."
"Alright then if you must." I said hoping it was too dark to see my blush. The others went into their tents to get some sleep. Then it was just me and Serena.
"The stars are out tonight." She said. She looked beautiful in this light. "Fenniken let's enjoy the stars together." A white light appeared and I heard a Pokémon scamper off because of it. The fox Pokémon lay next to her and she stroked it. I sent Chespin out and he sat on my lap. A group of Butterfree flew over the clearing and Serena pointed them out to me. That's when I noticed that she was gradually moving closer to me. Her eyes began to close and her head fell onto my shoulder.
The only time that I've gone as red as that was when my mother made Figy berry pie and that's still hard to compare to this. I told Chespin to use Vine Whip on Serena and carry her into my tent. With my help of course. I took Fenniken's Pokeball and returned her and clipped it to Serena's belt. I then helped Chespin carry her into my tent. After two hours, both mine and Serena's shifts, I woke Tierno and told him it was his watch. I then clambered into my own tent zipping the entrance behind me. I put Serena's sleeping bag over her and put mine over me and then lay down to sleep.
