Chapter 3
Kurt and Blaine were officially best friends. They entered McKinley High School for the first time, together.
As they walked the McKinley hallways they saw couples that had obviously been together for a while, probably met at their last school. Blaine looked to one of the couples, there was a girl pressed up against the lockers whilst her boyfriend practically molested her face with his mouth. "That'll be us soon!"
Kurt was shocked, US as in Kurt and Blaine? "Err what do you mean, us?"
Blaine's cheeks flushed with embarrassment "No, no, oh god no. You know what I meant. One day we'll have girlfriends and be doing, well that"
Kurt tried to think, that didn't look all that appealing if he was honest but he couldn't say that. "Err yeah I guess"
Blaine immediately stopped and turned to face Kurt "What, you mean you don't want to flaunt your girlfriend for everyone to see?"
"No! I would much rather make subtle hints to show she was dating me"
Kurt had gained Blaine's interest "Like what?"
"Well, I would hold her hand whilst walking her to her next lesson and give her a peck on the cheek before heading to my lesson" By the end Kurt was blushing a deep shade of red.
Blaine carried on walking "You're such a romantic aren't you. Why did we only meet in Middle school? DO you know how much fun we could have had if we meet when we were little, oh my god Kurt we could have played in the sandpit. Why? Why did we meet so late in life?"
Kurt grew silent he wanted to tell Blaine that actually they did meet when they were young and yes they should've been playing in sandpits in Kindergarten.
Being Kurt's best friend Blaine could sense the sudden shift in Kurt's mood. "What's up Kurt?"
Kurt tensed up, this was it, the time to tell Blaine the truth. "Blaine, you and I-" Kurt was cut off by the school bell ringing, signalling that school was starting.
"Urgh, I'll catch you later Kurt. Then you can tell me what you was just about to" Blaine took off in a quick walk in order to find his registration room in time.
Well, at least Kurt had time to think about how to tell Blaine the news that was sure to shock him.
…
They didn't see each other until the end of the day. They never shared classes together, well only math because that is the only subject Blaine excelled in whereas Kurt could do pretty much anything.
They agreed to meet at the front entrance of the school at the end of the day to walk home together; they only lived a few streets away from each other. Kurt was standing next to an information board and was casually reading when one notice peeked his interest. The flyer read:
THE GLEE CLUB
Starting Thursday
Meetings to be held in the choir room
3:00pm-4:00pm
Sign Up Now
Flyer by Rachel Berry, leader of the group since last year
Glee Club? Kurt did love to sing, although it didn't sound very cool, would Blaine join too? Probably not Kurt thought, he's into much cooler stuff like the football team; he didn't wanna risk losing Blaine's friendship. Just as Kurt was processing his thoughts Blaine casually walked up behind him to peek over his shoulder, from this angle he couldn't see what Kurt was looking at.
"What's that?" Blaine's voice startled Kurt and quickly apologized when he remembered how easily Kurt got scared. "OMG, I am sooooooo sorry Kurt, I completely forget about-"
"It's fine Blaine, honestly" Kurt cut of Blaine's apology because Blaine would have apologized all day otherwise.
"Ok, cool. So what were you looking at?"
"Err, just a glee club flyer, nothing much" Kurt tried to cover up his excitement.
Blaine looked shocked "NOTHING MUCH! OMG we have to join" Blaine resembled a little puppy.
Now it was Kurt's turn to be shocked "really? You like singing?"
"OMG I LOVE SINGING. Wait you don't seem interested"
"No, I just didn't think you'd like singing"
"Well Kurt, dear, I do"
Kurt's smile couldn't get bigger if he tried "In that case we shall join because I love singing too"
"Really? Wow i had no idea"
They both laughed as they walked out of McKinley.
A/N: ok so the ending really sucked but the next chapters will be longer, i just wanted to settle them into their new school before drama kicked off
