Chapter 2
During the car ride, Ophelia sat with her knees pulled up to her chest, she felt slightly sick from the movement of the car.
After a couple minutes of that feeling, she buried her head in her hands, trying not to throw up or start crying. She did not like this. She did not like this at all.
Lydia's car came to a stop as they had arrived at the preserve. Theo's truck was already there and assumed that they were already out looking.
"Ophelia? We're here, you can get out now" Lydia tells the girl, looking through her rearview mirror.
She and Malia climbed out of the car before Lydia walked around to open Ophelia's door.
"Come on now, we're going to look for your friends. Unless you'd like to stay here" Lydia said.
As soon as the car door was open, the girl jumped out of the car, looking around at the trees before she saw something next to one of the smaller trees. She walked over, looking to see if I was she thought it was.
Bending down, the short girl picked up the lizard, chameleon to be exact. She had thought that she had lost him, but her he was. She laughed lightly to herself, still holding the light green, fist sized reptile.
Lydia watched Ophelia walk away before turning to Malia who was now a coyote.
"C'mon Ophelia, let's go find your friends" the Banshee tells the girl.
Malia sniffed the air before taking off running, Lydia immediately following her, not checking to see if Ophelia was following.
Ophelia followed after the two, albeit at a slower pace, so by the time she caught up, two girls were standing in front of the conjoined twins. She could hear Lydia saying something as she walked forward, trying to look around the two pack girls.
"How interesting. Two heads on one body and they seem to be fine." Lydia said to herself.
"Are you alright? What are your names?" Lydia asked them.
The two sisters looked at each other, and it was obvious that they were communicating telepathically. A few seconds later, both sisters faced forwards, but neither said anything. Or at least that was until Elia pushed her way past the two girls and in front of the twins. When she saw them, she grinned, instantly running up to hug Bette and Dot.
Lydia watched as Ophelia hugged the conjoined girls.
"Ophelia, are these some friends of yours?" She asks.
The blonde didn't say anything as she looked up at Bette and Dot. "Where are Elsa and Jimmy?" Ophelia asked softly.
"Not sure, Elie." Dot responded, frowning slightly. "Until we saw you, we thought that we were the only ones from the show here."
The grey eyed girl frowned as well. "I remember seeing Elsa, and Jimmy, and maybe Dell, but I don't remember him for sure."
Bette placed her hand on the small teenager's head in a comforting manner. "We'll find them."
Malia sniffed the air once again before darting off again.
"Ophelia, take your friends to Lookout Point. Its a cliff area that over looks Beacon Hills, you can't miss it. I have to follow after the coyote" Lydia tells the girl before running after Malia.
Once the two pack girls are gone, the twins look at the youngest freak-show member. "We're not really going to do as they say, are we?" Dot ask with a smirk.
"Dot!" The other conjoined twin exclaims.
"Nope," Elia grins. To everyone at the freak-show, she was known for being kind but mischievous. "Of course not."
The three then take off running in the same direction as the pack girls had gone.
Lydia was looking at whoever Malia found, lying on the forest ground. Malia heard footsteps and turned around, growling at whoever was approaching.
Hearing the growl, Lydia looked up.
"Ophelia! I told you to take your friend to Lookout Point to meet up with the rest of the pack" Lydia chastised the girl.
Ophelia rolled her eyes. She felt braver now that she knew she wasn't alone. "I am not a little girl. Stop talking to me like I am one."
The blonde then pushed past the two girls and looked down. It was Jimmy Darling.
"Well, let's all go to Lookout Point now. The rest of the pack might have already found your other friends" Lydia said, standing next to the coyote.
Malia shifted back into human, glad that all her clothes stayed this time.
"Let's go already" She said impatiently.
Bette, Dot, and Elia all helped Jimmy, who was just now waking, to stand up. He looked awfully confused, and Bette whispered that she would tell him later. The 'lobster boy' nodded in understanding as they followed the group.
After a minute of walking, Ophelia sped up slightly, so that she was walking next to Lydia. "I'm sorry for how I spoke earlier," the girl apologized sincerely.
"Its alright. C'mon, we're almost there" Lydia said, walking through the woods.
Malia ran ahead, tired of everyone's slow pace. Soon everyone was together at Lookout Point, the other pack members had found the others in the woods.
As soon as Ophelia saw the leader, she ran up and hugged her. Elsa Mars was surprised for a second before she hugged back the girl whom she had come to see as a daughter over the past few years. "I thought I lost you," the light haired woman said softly for only the girl to hear, of course, she didn't realize that the group of teenagers was supernatural.
"Ophelia, is this everyone who came here with you?" Scott asked the girl.
The pack had gathered around Scott, standing and looking at the newcomers from a different time.
The girl shook her head. "Dell's not here."
As she spoke, Elsa wrapped her arms around the small girl. Ophelia was the youngest, followed by the twins, maggie, then Jimmy, but she thought of them all as her children, and she protected them all. Even if that meant from this strange group of people.
"Come on," the older woman whispered. "We need to go." She had meant for only her freaks to hear her, but the supernatural beings did too.
"She's right. You guys go, we'll see if we can find your friend Dell" Scott tells Ophelia.
He turned to the pack, "Spread out and see if you can find the missing friend" he tells them.
Everyone nodded their heads and took off in separate directions except for Lydia.
"Stiles is going to be upset that he missed this" she tells Scott.
Scott nodded his head in agreement. "True, but it was better to look now then wait till he and Izzy returned" he tells the Banshee.
Ophelia complied with what Elsa said without a word. Anyone else, and she would have protested, but not with Elsa.
The group of misfits wandered through the forest preserve for a while, each taking turns talking as Ophelia tried to explain everything she had learned. Finally, they reached the edge of the woods and Jimmy pointed to the gloves on the fourteen-year-old's hands. "Why are you still wearing those?"
The girl shrugged. "Habit."
She then pulled the scratchy gloves off of her hands, revealing the long, thin scars that covered them. The blonde shoved the fingerless gloves into the back pocket of her jeans then before they continued on down the road, trying to find a place that they would be staying until they could find their way back. Little did they know that they would be in Beacon Hills a lot longer than expected.
Lydia had gone off to search for the missing friend. However, she found him. She screamed at the sight of the dead body.
Scott who heard the Banshee's scream immediately ran towards Lydia, the others not to far behind. He wrapped his arms around her and turned her away from the bloody sight.
The freakshow members were all far enough away from the preserve that they didn't hear the scream, but soon enough they realized that they had no clue where they were going, but that while they were in California, they needed to find a way to blend in. That was where the idea that Ophelia, the twins, and Maggie would attend high school while they were there after they found a place to stay.
Scott moved Lydia away before pulling out his phone to call Stiles. He told him about the dead body and Stiles said that the he, Isabella and the police would be there soon.
It wasn't long till those with enhanced hearing could hear the sirens.
*at the edge of the preserve*
Stiles and Isabella had gotten to the preserve before the police did. However, as soon as they got out of Stiles' Jeep, something changed in Isabella.
In a trance like state, she walked into the preserve ignoring Stiles as she walked. She soon found the pack but even then, she kept walking. She took down the body that had been pinned to a tree and walked off with it.
As she walked further into the woods, her body began to burn till fire was surrounding her. Isabella walked up to the Nematon, setting the body down before turning to walk away. She didn't get far since she blacked out.
Parrish found his sister, half naked and understood immediately. His sister was also a Hellhound. He picked her up and walked back to his squad car and drove home.
