I am also changing the better chapter, the longest for this story. So hopefully it stays the longest.
Chapter 3: Plan A
I stared them right in the eyes before continuing.
"I am going to give Kayla her body back. I should have given her body back as soon as you found out about me being here again. I will do that after I finish my plan. I will stay with you Edward and go to High school here." I told them.
"I don't think anyone with recognize me. Plus I'll go to La Push to help with Jacob, I am sure that he'll be happy to see me." I continued. Bella nodded. Jacob must have been a wolf by now. Making him taller, and with short hair.
Edward wasn't able to go to La Push because of their treaty between the Cullen's and the Quileutes.
"I should go and make dinner. Charlie can get cranky if he isn't fed." Bella said. She stood up and walked out the door. I turned and saw that I was alone. Edward probably went to get his car. I sighed.
I flopped on my bed. I wasn't going to leave Kayla just yet. I didn't know that I fell asleep until Charlie shook me awake.
"Hey there. It's dinner time." He smiled. I stretched before getting off of my bed. I walked to dinner with Charlie close behind me. I sat across from Charlie and next to Bella. I dug into my spaghetti.
I thought about Apollo. I wish that I could burn an offering to him, but I couldn't. I wanted him to hold me, and kiss me. We've dated for two years know. I love him. At first when he kissed me, I thought it was weird, but I couldn't help but loving it and wanting more.
I finished my dinner first. I rinsed off my plate and set it to the side of the sink. I went and grabbed my jacket.
"Hey I'm going to go out for a while OK." I called out. I headed to the front door.
"OK, just stay safe." I heard Charlie call out. I called out an OK before closing the door behind me. I saw a car parked in front of Charlie's house. It's was Jacob's. It was his 1986 Volkswagen Rabbit. He was leaning against it.
"Hi there. I think Bella is still eating dinner, if you're looking for her." I told him smiling politely.
He walked over to me. By the way he scrunched his nose, I knew he could tell I was different.
"You're MacKenzie, aren't you?" I smiled.
"Very observant aren't you Jake." I said. I motioned him to follow me. I went into the woods just enough that they couldn't see us from the house. I turned into me. I stretched my arms over my head.
"Wow, you're older." He commented. I was getting old of that observation.
I looked up at him. He was still taller than me, but not as tall as he seemed when I was 10.
"It's been 6 years where I come from." I told him. He seemed surprised. "Yeah tell me about it."
"That's weird. You were here only a year ago." He said running his fingers through his short hair. "It's good to see you again." He smiled. He pulled me in for a hug. His hand went to my wrist after we pulled away from each other.
"I hate that you had to go through this at such a young age." He said. His thumb brushed my scar. It was cooler than the rest of my body. His body heat felt like it was burning there.
I wanted to tell him what I was doing here. But I couldn't. Not yet.
"So what are you doing back here?" He asked. He rubbed the back of my neck and wouldn't look at me. I smiled.
"My mother sent me here. I have some mortal to protect." I explained, hoping to just give him something to know for now.
"Oh," Was his only response. I smiled up at him. "Well, MacKenzie, it is really great to see you again, but my dad needs my help." I could tell he was lying, but I didn't say anything.
"OK, I hope to see you again soon!" I said, smiling. He gave me a hug and headed back to his car. I sighed. I hoped that I could save him.
I ran my fingers through my hair. I defused from Kayla. She looked at me with confusion. I smiled at her.
"Hello Kayla. My name is MacKenzie Austin. We need to talk." I told her.
"So you are here to save Jacob?" She asked. I nodded. "Wow, that's rough. I am just glad you aren't in my body anymore." She said.
"I know, it always feels weird when I fuse with someone." I explained. I didn't want to scare her anymore than absolutely necessary. And this was necessary. She needed to know that I didn't want to be this thing that I was, but that I was born that way.
"So you are a Viewer of Worlds?" She asked. Again I nodded. "How does that work?" She asked. I smiled. I knew this was coming sooner or later.
"I was born a Viewer because of who my mother is. But you see I was blessed to be a Changer of Fate as well. You see, a Changer is able to interact with worlds unlike Viewers." I explained.
"That's complicated." She said. "So does every world have the Greek Gods, or just a few?"
"Just a few." I told her. She nodded.
"So how do you plan of saving Jacob anyway?"
I told her my plan of action. She nodded along, but I didn't know if she truly understood what all of this meant. But she is smart, so hopefully she understood.
"And that's it." I said.
"Wow, that's cool actually. I hope that it all works out for you." She said smiling. I laughed.
"But you should know by now... Nothing ever goes according to plan, so always have a plan b." I said.
She smiled. "Well, you better have a plan b ready." She joked.
"Always do."
Sorry it took me so long to update this chapter. I have other stories that I am working on, and I got in trouble for a while, but here you all go, enjoy. REVIEW!
