"What are you?" Mileena asked the demon known as Colonel Radec.

"I am the one asking questions now!" He raised his voice. She could feel her headache getting worse as his words seemed to reverberate through her head.

She shifted slightly under his penetrating gaze. Then he reached out for her veil which caused her to flinch and move away from his touch.

"Why do you wear this veil?"

"You mean it's not obvious!"

Then she leaned closer to him and continued in a soft, sultry voice. "Go ahead. Take it off. You will see why I wear this veil."

Unfazed by her tone, he grabbed the veil and yanked it off.

Mileena stared at him, slowly grinning as she watched him slightly tilt his head as if examining her. She couldn't tell whether he was repulsed or surprised by looking at her Tarkatan features. Whatever he was feeling underneath that mask of his, he kept to himself. She waited for him to say something. He just stood there and stared.

"Well?" she sneered at him. "Does this repulse you?"

"No. I don't see why I should be repulsed."

"What?" Mileena was now confused. "But my face?"

"What about it?"

"Don't you see?"

"What am I suppose to see?"

"Teeth!"

He stood there looking at her, assessing her.

"Don't you see my razor sharp teeth?"

"Aside from your eyes. You look very human to me."

"Human?" Mileena uttered under her breath.

She slightly stuck out her tongue to feel her …Tarkatan teeth. They were still there, but when she stuck her tongue out a little further, she also felt ….lips?

"No." she uttered in disbelief. "How did this happen?" she said to herself.

She lowered her head, trying to remember what had happened, but she couldn't remember anything before the strange blinding light.

Colonel Radec watched as Mileena began mumbling to herself, questioning her lost memory, and even her own sanity.

At this point, he became impatient. He decided to leave this woman to her own thoughts, but only in another holding cell.

With one simple gesture to his subordinates, they unchained Mileena from the chair, but keep her handcuffed and lifted her to her feet. She seemed not to notice and continued mumbling and questioning herself. They led her to another holding cell, this one much smaller and with absolutely nothing in it but four walls and a cold concrete floor.

However, Mileena did not seem to notice this either as they shoved her into the room and shut the door behind her, locking it.

"What happened to me?" she asked herself. "Why can't I remember?"

She leaned against the wall and looked up at the ceiling above her. She gazed at the light in the middle of the ceiling, the only source of light. She tried once more to remember what had happened before the blinding light and why it happened.

Slowly, she slid down against the wall and sat on the chilling solid floor below. She continued to stare at the light and let her thoughts drift into the last moments of her lost memory.

"Remember." She whispered to herself. "Try to remember."

She closed her eyes and concentrated on the last moments she saw Nightwolf and Rayden. The memory began playing through her head over and over again until her thoughts drifted off.

Then she remembered Kitana.
