Well fuck me sideways, this story is still not finished.

I don't even know how to explain myself, but I guess as usual I just can't keep things short. So much for a two-shot.

Anyway, there's a little bit of smut in this, so yay for that, but sadly no Itachi. He'll come back, I promise. I guess I wanted to write some development with friends and stuff as well as between our two lovebirds. Damn they're so gay, you feel me?

I'd like to thank everyone who's reviewed so far, you guys give me life. Really, fishing for reviews is an unseemly thing to do, but it's the sad thruth that it's the only repayment we writers get for our efforts. And yeah, I skipped school yesterday to write on this, and struggled tonight to get it out as early as possible. My decision, yes, but I felt bad for not getting it out during the weekend like I thought, I just had a lot of other fun things on Saturday and then Sunday was all crap.

Can't promise how quickly I'll get the last (for real, the last) part out, I have a KakaObi thingy to finish first, not to mention Missing pieces *squirms*. Well, hope you enjoy this chappy!

Chapter 3

xxx

The next day, Naruto woke up with a smile on his face. He rolled the comforter around him until he resembled a larva, squirming happily and squealing into his pillow. He'd done it! He'd really managed to sort of confess to Sasuke, and it felt so damn good. Though, it had been a close call. No matter how much he tried to think of what to do, and how many times he nagged Shikamaru about it, he hadn't been able to come up with a solution.

That is, until he asked Sakura. He hadn't meant to, but they'd started talking a little after school on Tuesday, walking part of the way home together since Ino hadn't showed up for classes. One thing led to another, and he'd found himself banging his head against the back of her couch as she tried to sort through the mess in his head.

Well, she'd also shaken him and yelled at him for being such a stupid boy, fighting with Sasuke all the time out of sheer stubbornness.

Other than that it had been a great idea to talk to her, not only because she used to like Sasuke before Naruto met him, and therefore knew a lot more about him than Shikamaru, but also because she was so damn smart. She'd made him realize that it was a little unreasonable to think that just because they now agreed they didn't hate each other it would make things go smoothly. When she asked if it was really just the sex that he wanted, he'd honestly replied 'Well what else could Sasuke want from me?'.

She'd slapped him around a little more for that, telling him to value himself more.

Thinking about it afterwards, he felt kind of stupid. It's just that, they'd started off with that impulse blowjob, and he'd really thought that if he couldn't give Sasuke his sexiest, then probably they'd lose their connection to each other. Sakura made him tell the truth, that he wanted to date Sasuke, and that a small, suppressed part of him was scared as hell to be rejected.

He felt a nervous coil in his stomach, remembering how he'd felt before telling Sasuke. It was still hard to believe that Sasuke had been so understanding, not to mention willing to do things the slow way. But when they'd decided to watch a movie, and Naruto intertwined their hands again as well as leaned against Sasuke, he'd caught him smiling just a little. Just thinking about it made Naruto want to run a few laps around the neighborhood, shouting as loud as he could. Sasuke, smiling! How amazing was that!?

His phone buzzed, and he fought against the covers for a few seconds to reach it on the nightstand, torn between grinning and sticking out his tongue at the message. Good morning, don't be late. Ugh what a nice morning person his boyfriend was. On the other hand… Wasn't it just so cute how Sasuke worried about him?

When he told Kiba about his theory that maybe Sasuke was just really, really bad at expressing himself but was actually really cute, he got one look and was then left alone to contemplate the wonders of Uchiha communication by his locker.

"Sakura!" he yelled when he saw her walking towards him, Kiba's mean way of ditching him long forgotten. "It went awesome!"

He grinned, making a victory sign, and she rolled her eyes.

"Of course, since you did what I told you. And I already know that, thank you very much for texting me in the middle of the night."

"I've told you to turn your phone to soundless if you don't want to wake up from texts" Ino commented, showing up behind Sakura and throwing an arm around her shoulders. "Now what the hell is this, huh, Naruto? I can't believe you're banging Sasuke behind our backs!"

"Sshhh! Someone could hear you!" Naruto hissed with horror, both hands covering her mouth. "And why did you tell her!"

"Seriously Naruto, Sakura and I are like, soul mates in a no homo way. You tell one you tell the other!" Ino grinned, removing his hands, but at least lowered her voice. Then she playfully slapped his arm. "But you could have told us you were into guys, you know. Think of all the girls' nights we missed inviting you to!"

When Naruto backed away slowly, looking between the two girls with fear, Ino started laughing, smacking her hand on Sakura's shoulder.

"Maybe we should," she wheezed out, "invite him for shopping too! I can just see it in front of me!"

"I don't think I'd like fashion advice from a guy who thinks orange is a good color with anything" Sakura disagreed, frowning and inspecting Naruto's clothes. "Really, Naruto, a red t-shirt with orange jeans? It's not even funny."

"Hey! Don't think I'll ever tell you stuff again if this is how you repay me!"

Naruto's pout lasted all of two seconds, and then morphed into what was supposed to be a neutral expression, but the faint blush and wandering gaze looked anything but. Ino and Sakura followed his line of vision, discovering Sasuke on his way to class. They grinned, and Ino hit Sakura's side with an elbow, eyebrows waggling suggestively in Naruto's direction.

"What the fuck!" Naruto sputtered, trying to glare murder at them at the same time he answered Sasuke's discreet nod with one of his own.

"Aww you look so in love, Naruto! It's kind of disgusting, isn't it" Ino cooed, cackling when Sakura rolled her eyes and dragged her away from the seething Naruto.

"I guess things worked out then."

Naruto spun around, letting out a sigh of relief when noticing Shikamaru a few steps behind him.

"Yep! No thanks to you though" he said, sticking his tongue out when Shikamaru let out a sound of disbelief.

"Yeah, whatever" his friend drawled, scratching his chin. "Just try to put a damper on your gay, or the teachers will notice."

Naruto's list of friends he needed to punch continued to grow.

"Damn, Sasuke, you ran fast today!"

Sasuke glanced at Suigetsu, then out the car window again.

"I guess" he said, watching the steady drizzle outside.

He hated running in the rain, or more accurately running in mud, but even that hadn't managed to ruin his mood.

"Did something good happen?" Juugo asked from the driver's seat, voice calm and deep as always, making Sasuke wonder if he really asked something or if it was just a roundabout way to make a statement.

"Come on, tell us! You've been more distracted than usual up until now, but today you were so focused! You finished, like, five minutes before Lee even!"

Sasuke frowned, running a hand through his hair and sighing at how damp it still was. It probably stood up funny in places, too.

"I just felt in good shape" he replied, nervous at the thought of telling them the reason why.

"Right." Suigetsu turned in his seat, trying to see Sasuke who sat behind him, voice dripping with sarcasm. "You felt in good shape, in the rain, and mud. Sure."

"Soon we'll get leaves on the trees" Juugo observed, "It smells like spring. I feel happy about that, too."

Suigetsu's pale eyes turned to Juugo instead, exasperated. Then he went back to staring at Sasuke, face pressed against the headrest.

"Dude" he started. "You keep texting a lot. You get mood swings depending on the day of the week, and yesterday you didn't answer my message for six hours. Something's up, and I refuse to believe coach Gai's words made you happy enough to splash through a muddy forest at top speed."

Sasuke swallowed, fingers playing with the strap on his bag. Even while avoiding Suigetsu's gaze he could feel it bore through him, and knowing his friend it was going to be difficult to lie.

"Tell us who it is! Is it someone we know? It's gotta be someone who's damn persistent if they caught your attention!"

"Maybe he's just happy to graduate high school soon."

"Eeh, that sort of thing would really make him that happy?"

"I'm seeing someone" Sasuke blurted out, interrupting what was sure to have become a heated discussion over Sasuke's emotional state.

"I knew it!" Suigetsu yelled, leaning towards Sasuke as much as the safety belt allowed him. "Show me a picture" he demanded, stretching out a hand.

Sasuke gritted his teeth, wishing they'd just leave him alone. Sadly they still had a few minutes left until they reached his house, so he was forced to scroll through Naruto's pictures on facebook before finding one that wasn't too silly. Suigetsu looked at the picture, then back at Sasuke, then back at the picture again, and Sasuke was this close to ripping the phone out of his hand.

"I don't know man, I thought your type was more…"

"What" Sasuke bit out, but Suigetsu started grinning.

"He just looks kinda cute-ish, you know? Here Juugo, what do you think?"

"Looks sweet."

"I thought you'd go for someone tall and manly, someone who treats you like a princess."

"Fuck off" Sasuke growled, snatching the phone back.

"Be nice" Juugo mumbled, but couldn't help smiling too when Suigetsu laughed.

"He into orienteering?" Suigetsu asked after calming down, pursing his lips when Sasuke shook his head. "Damn, and it's not exactly the kind of sport you bring spectators to. I guess we'll just see him at your graduation."

Sasuke shrugged, leaning back in his seat again. His heart still beat faster than normal, but his relief at his friends having a good reaction was slightly marred by Suigetsu's stupid teasing. So what if he had a large poster of Chris Hemsworth in his room in Itachi's apartment that he was stupid enough to let Suigetsu visit during Christmas. Didn't mean that was his type.

Though, he wouldn't mind if Naruto grew a little taller, maybe filled out with some more muscle…

"You can stop drooling now, Sasuke" Suigetsu teased, laughing again when Sasuke glared at him.

"Hn" he said, crossing his arms and deciding not to talk for the rest of the trip.

Friday afternoon, Sasuke sat on a park bench a short walk from school waiting for Naruto to arrive. It was sunny, but still a little damp from the previous day's rain. He rubbed his hands together, scanning the area for people he knew for the umpteenth time, feeling both reckless and nervous at meeting out in the open. There was no way he'd decline the offer though, not after the way Naruto told him he wished they could meet up every day. Just the memory heated up his cheeks, so he ended up rubbing them as well, fingers tucked into his sleeves.

Naruto never told him what brought about his change of attitude, and Sasuke didn't know how to ask. Knowing that Naruto had liked him for a while was enough for now, even if it also made him feel partly guilty. From now on, he promised himself he'd try to voice his feelings a little better, so there wouldn't be even more misunderstandings. Still, it was difficult after being used to always hide behind a bad attitude when it came to Naruto. When it came to his boyfriend.

He hid a smile behind one hand, leaning his chin in his palm to make it look natural. It was an alien thought, to have a boyfriend, and he wasn't so sure he would have agreed if Naruto had asked that instead of giving him a blowjob almost six weeks ago. To think it had been such a short time…

"Hey, Sasuke!" Naruto shouted, jogging up to him, sneakers making crunching sounds against the gravel.

"Hey" Sasuke replied, removing his hand from over his mouth, letting it fall limply onto his knee, not knowing what else to do with it.

"Sorry you had to wait, I couldn't find my history book, and then I realized I forgot it in the classroom so I had to find a teacher and yeah…"

"It's fine" he mumbled, forced to drop his gaze when Naruto sent a blinding smile in his direction.

"Mm, it's warm today" Naruto mused, turning his face towards the sun for a few seconds, eyes closed and that smile still lingering on his face.

Sasuke nodded, wetting his lips and fiddling with the seam on the inside of his knee, a small part of the thread sticking out.

"Wanna take a walk?"

Sasuke looked up, meeting Naruto's expectant eyes.

"Sure" he said, getting up. "But, don't you think someone might see us?"

Naruto shrugged, grabbing his hand and swinging their arms back and forth as they started walking.

"If they do, we'll just run and they won't have any proof!"

He grinned again, and Sasuke rolled his eyes. He tried not to think about how warm Naruto's hand felt compared to the breeze, and pushed his other hand into his pocket.

"Are you doing anything fun this weekend?" Naruto asked, and Sasuke had to wonder for a moment if Naruto would think anything he did during weekends would count as fun.

"I've got practice on Sunday…"

"I always wanted to ask about that! Is it really fun?" Naruto's eyes were wide with interest, and Sasuke squirmed a little at the attention. He wasn't used to talk about his interests. "I mean, running through the woods and trying to find places on a map… it's not very exciting during gym at least."

"I like it" Sasuke said, watching a few kids run around a playground. "You need to think a lot, and there's fresh air and you can run just for fun or to compete against someone… It's a good way to clear my head."

He glanced at Naruto, finding him staring back.

"You must really like it if you talk for this long about it!"

Sasuke frowned, gnawing on the inside of his cheek, but Naruto was smiling again, squeezing his hand, and pleasant butterflies fluttered around his stomach.

"You like smiling a lot…" he caught himself, turning his head quickly and biting his lips.

What kind of silly thing to say was that?!

"Yep!" Naruto said, chuckling a little. "My mom calls me a smiling maniac!"

"Doesn't sound like the kind of thing you'd be proud of" Sasuke snorted, amused against his better judgment, embarrassment forgotten for the moment.

"Hey! I should totally be proud of that!"

Naruto hit his arm lightly, pouting a little. It didn't take long before he smiled again, chatting about this and that as they walked, appearing to be in a good mood. Sasuke mostly listened, feeling comfortable with commenting now and then, catching himself snorting in amusement a few too many times to be considered normal behavior. There were other people in the park, walking their dogs or taking a jog. At first, Sasuke felt very conscious of their presence, but the more he got into the conversation with Naruto the less he paid attention to them. When an elderly man stared at them he stared back, eyes narrowed as if daring him to tell them they couldn't walk hand in hand wherever they wanted. But instead of commenting, the man tipped his hat as he passed them, leaving Sasuke wondering if there were still people who did that sort of thing.

"Anyway, so yesterday when I was at the gym, this really big guy comes in, like he was really built, looking like he owned the place or something. So I got annoyed and since I was close to that bar where you can do arm lifts and stuff, I got up there and did twenty! And the guy looked at me like 'psshhh, you think you're cool?', but then when he tried to do the same he failed so bad! I even got an applause!"

Sasuke listened with half an ear to Naruto's ridiculous stories, thinking stuff like that would only happen to someone like him. His brain caught on to the arm lift part rather than the challenge, thinking he wouldn't mind watching Naruto doing that. Maybe his shirt would rise up a bit and…

Naruto came to a halt, forcing Sasuke to stop as well. When Sasuke glanced at him, he found Naruto with a small grimace on his face, looking at someone approaching them. The guy jogging their way while smiling brightly had his brown hair pulled up in a messy ponytail, and looked old enough to be their dad.

"Naruto! It's sure been a while, how are you? You're not getting into trouble at school, are you?"

"Jeez Iruka, I'm graduating soon, can't go around getting in trouble right?" Naruto laughed loudly, rubbing his neck with his free hand.

Iruka shook his head, as if he could remember a lot of trouble Naruto had gotten into. Sasuke noticed he had a faint scar across his nose, and wondered idly if it was courtesy of Naruto.

"And who's this?" Iruka asked, causing Sasuke to freeze.

"Oh, umm, this is Sasuke, Sasuke this is my old teacher Iruka."

Sasuke was acutely aware of Naruto holding his right hand when Iruka stretched his out, and fighting the urge to use his left instead he let go of Naruto, shaking the man's hand.

"Nice to meet you, Sasuke."

Iruka's smile was nice, but Sasuke was still only able to nod in response. When his smile tensed a little, and he grabbed Sasuke's hand a little harder, staring him down, he wondered if he should have just made a run for it.

"You're taking good care of him, right?" Iruka asked, though it sounded more like a threat. "He keeps getting these ideas, I know what a hassle it can be to look after him."

"What the hell!" Naruto exploded, tomato red in the face. "I can take care of myself just fine!"

The look Iruka gave Sasuke made him smirk in response, their hands finally ceasing contact. Then Iruka chuckled, scratching his nose.

"Sorry, sorry, I keep forgetting you're not a kid anymore! Still…" he smiled, patting Naruto's shoulder. "Well, I gotta keep running, it was nice to meet you again."

He started walking, Naruto glaring at his friendly wave.

"Oh!" Iruka added, almost turned to continue, "You two look really good together!"

With a final wave and a small wink he turned, putting his earphones back into his ears. Naruto spluttered incoherently, and Sasuke felt heat rush up and down his body. Partly because Naruto's ex-teacher had obviously caught on to them, but also because he'd said they looked good together. He glanced at Naruto, who was clenching and unclenching his fists, seething and in the process of counting to ten. He wondered if it was true, if people who saw them on the street would think the same. His stomach tingled at the thought, and he crossed his arms to try and rein himself in.

"Goddammit! That guy is too much! And what was up with that smirk, huh?!"

Sasuke shrugged, turning his head so Naruto couldn't see his amused smile.

"Should we keep going?" he asked, feeling Naruto's glare against his cheek as he mumbled something.

"Yeah yeah, let's go" the blond muttered, hooking his arm through Sasuke's bent one, starting to walk at a brisk pace.

Sasuke could think of a few ways to tease Naruto, but chose not to. Instead he uncrossed his arms and linked his fingers with tan ones again, noticing Naruto unable to stop a small smile at the action. Today was a really good day.

"Hi honey, welcome back. How did practice go?"

"Stop it mom, I'm all sweaty."

Sasuke ducked from his mother's attempt to kiss his temple, brushing past her into the kitchen. He grabbed a banana, ignoring her disapproving look.

"Dinner will be ready in an hour, you know" she lectured him, but smiled and caressed his cheek before he had time to duck again. "You never answered my question yesterday" she reminded him, and he inwardly grimaced.

"I told you, nothing special has happened."

"Oh Sasuke, I'm your mother, I know there's something going on." She'd put her hands to her sides, staring him down, as if that still worked on him. "Well, it's nice to see you happy no matter the reason" she continued, letting out a small sigh as if she gave up.

Sasuke knew he needed to escape soon, or she'd force something out of him. He'd really tried not to act suspicious the last week and a half, but disgustingly enough there was no helping it. Naruto did things to his emotions and every text, every thought of him tugged his lips upwards. Very out of character.

Stuffing his mouth with the last pieces of banana he threw the peel into the trash, four steps from freedom when his mother's voice stopped him.

"Isn't prom in two weeks?" she asked, sounding all innocent as she dug around the fridge, her back to Sasuke.

"I guess" Sasuke forced out, after swallowing too much in one go.

He prayed that she wouldn't ask more, but of course she straightened up and pinned him to the floor in that way only a mother can do.

"You'll use your graduation suit, right? I need to take pictures to send to grandma, I can't believe my baby boy is almost out of high school!"

She smiled brightly, as if she hadn't managed to embarrass him enough for a week's worth with just one sentence.

"I'm not going" he mumbled, about to turn and leave when her eyes showed concern.

"You're not? Why? Or is the person you want to go with going with someone else? I remember how that was a big deal when I went, well I went with your father so I didn't have a problem, and I think Itachi just went with a friend…" she trailed off, noticing Sasuke's frown.

"It's not like that" he said, "I'm just not going."

This time he did manage to turn and start walking, but sadly his mother's footsteps followed him, and sure enough she grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"Sasuke? I'm sorry, I just thought maybe you were really happy lately because you had a date for prom…"

"It's got nothing to do with prom" he sighed, trying to avoid her gaze.

"Sasuke, there's something you're not telling me."

Often, people would think that Sasuke got his glare from his dad, and sure Fugaku could be scary when he was in the mood, but Mikoto had this way of narrowing her eyes that demanded an answer, and even though Sasuke had done his best to copy it he hadn't fully succeeded yet.

"I told you it's nothing" he tried, but she stepped up in front of him, her touch gentle as she brushed over his cheek. He was taller than her, but he still felt small when she looked at him like that.

"You know you can tell me anything" she said, and he bit the inside of his cheek.

"I'm not going to prom, just to the class party we'll have later."

She sighed, crossing her arms, but didn't comment.

"Naruto will probably be there" Sasuke continued, testing the waters.

"At prom or the party?"

"The party. He's not going to prom either."

She didn't ask how he knew that, only watched him deep in thought. While Sasuke wanted to tell her everything, he also knew what she thought of Naruto. When Mikoto sighed again he glanced at her, seeing her run a hand through her long, smooth hair with a wry smile on her lips.

"That boy, he's too much like his mother. Oh my, she could cause trouble when we were kids… Still, she always had a big heart. It's a shame you and Naruto can't stand each other."

She raised an eyebrow, and Sasuke realized he must have had an odd look on his face. He hurried to change it into a neutral one, shrugging.

"He's not so bad" he mumbled, "Just stubborn."

His mother's warm laughter made him blush a little, and he grimaced to hide it.

"Stubborn is one way to put it, I guess. Just don't let him get you into any more trouble, okay?"

With a smile she left him, and he could hear her humming softly as she started to prepare dinner. He didn't know their mothers had known each other, but the way she'd talked about Naruto now lifted his spirits a little. Maybe his parents wouldn't react as badly as he'd thought, whenever he got around to telling them.

"Sasuke? Sasukeeeee?"

"Idiot, get off, you're heavy."

"Nooo I wanna cuddle!"

Sasuke glared at Naruto's too close face, the blond wriggling on top of him as if to emphasize his wish to cuddle.

"This isn't cuddling, you're crushing me. And I was trying to read."

Naruto pouted, then snuck his arms underneath Sasuke's shoulders, legs hooking around his as well. He gave Sasuke a proud grin, as if he'd accomplished something by not only crushing Sasuke, but squeezing him to death as well.

Sasuke groaned in defeat, flopping hand and book to the side, and stared up at the ceiling instead. His boyfriend had been busy copying their math homework, something he'd only managed to convince Sasuke to allow him by sending him a series of much too flattering and sappy texts before sneaking the question in somewhere in the middle. He felt shamelessly used. Still, he'd felt a little peeved at Naruto spending their precious alone time doing homework, so maybe that was the reason he didn't force the heavy weight off himself.

"Wait, I was gonna say something."

Naruto's voice was muffled, his mouth pressed to the juncture between Sasuke's neck and shoulder, and already he could feel some drool there.

"Can't wait" he drawled, and Naruto kicked him with his heel.

It was a good thing that Naruto couldn't feel how his whole body tingled from the body contact, and he wondered if it would make him too unbearable if he put his arms around his back.

"It's 'cause you smell too good, I got distracted."

Now Sasuke was happy that Naruto still had his face against his neck, so he couldn't see his blushing face.

"Eeh Sasuke you feel warm suddenly…" When Sasuke smacked his head he laughed, raising himself up on his elbows with some difficulty, since his arms were mainly stuck underneath Sasuke. "So prom's tomorrow, huh?"

Sasuke raised an eyebrow at him, and Naruto must have found it annoying because he leaned in and bit his lower lip for a second, grinning that he managed to startle Sasuke.

"There'll be sooo many pictures on facebook tomorrow night… how many girls asked you anyway?"

"Maybe five…"

"Huh. I thought there would be more."

"It's not like the whole school wants to get in my pants, you know."

"Yeah yeah, but it would be better if it was just me!"

When Sasuke's eyes darted back and forth, Naruto's grin widened before he leaned in again, giving him a few lingering kisses. Sasuke's eyes were closed when he moved to kiss down his neck, nose rubbing back and forth against his cheek to finish his attack off. It was a little hard to breathe when Naruto settled back in his previous position of hugging Sasuke tight, face against his neck.

"You could have gone if you wanted to" he mumbled, but Naruto shook his head.

"It's no fun if it's not together… Maybe we should have just told our parents and we could have gone."

Sasuke sighed, finally putting his arms around the small of Naruto's back, silent for a while. Maybe they could have, but he didn't know if he felt like going. Dancing was boring anyway, and social things like that weren't his strong forte either.

"My mom wasn't too upset when I said you'd be at the class party…" he said instead, and Naruto turned his head a little to try and look at him.

"Well I don't care if they get upset, I'm gonna spend that night with you anyway!"

Sasuke smiled, tightening his grip a little. Even though they met up during more days than Wednesdays now, it still didn't feel like much so he was looking forward to that party, as strange as it felt to look forward to something like a party. There was a dinner before it started, but they'd decided not to attend. It was for parents and siblings anyway, and neither felt like dragging them there. Though, Sasuke had invited Juugo and Suigetsu to the party, and he knew Naruto had asked some friends outside of school as well.

"Do you know what to go as?"

Sasuke frowned, there was just one thing he wasn't looking forward to: the fact that it was a masquerade party. Pretty much every class had one, and he knew Naruto had already gone to a few.

"No. It's a difficult theme."

"Sheesh, you don't have to take it seriously. I mean, it says to be what you secretly want to be, but I know Kiba is going as a dog so…"

"Really?" Sasuke asked, scrunching up his nose a little.

"Mhm. Hey, I know what you could be! A rainbow! I mean, you're so pale and you're always wearing dark clothes, it'd be totally fun to see you in some color!"

Sasuke gave Naruto a frosty look, clearly not impressed, but Naruto seemed into it already.

"It'll be great! You can wear a feather boa or something, ooh and how about those shimmering kinda pants, like snake skin? But with rainbow colors!"

"You mean you think I should look flamboyantly gay."

Naruto raised himself up again, grinning down at the still unimpressed look on Sasuke's face.

"I think it's a great idea" he said, too excited for Sasuke to suspect it was a joke.

"No."

"Aww come on, don't be so boring! I'll be something fun too!"

Naruto tilted his head to one side, making noises as he thought hard.

"You could always go in drag, we'll match" Sasuke muttered, finding the whole situation less than satisfactory.

Naruto blinked a few times, looking at Sasuke as if he'd just told him the cure to every disease in the world.

"I have a genius boyfriend" he said, face slowly morphing into another excited grin.

"No-" Sasuke started, but Naruto wasn't listening.

"It's perfect! We just need some good clothes, and make-up, and… wait I'll go ask Itachi!"

Naruto jumped off the bed, leaving Sasuke in silent despair behind.

When Sasuke walked to Naruto's house, he tried not to feel as if every person he met knew what depraved things were running through his mind. It had been approximately eight weeks and six days since the day of the blowjob, as Sasuke called it in his mind just to keep track of things. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, and three days ago Naruto and his brother had sealed his fate, ganging up on him and deciding his and Naruto's outfits for the party. Somehow Itachi knew a real drag artist, as well as a very good make-up one, and Sasuke really had no choice in the matter.

That wasn't the cause for his major concern right now however, and he'd lost count of how many times he'd smoothed his hair down, or checked his breath, or just half panicked on the way. Naruto's parents had gone out of town for the weekend, and so Naruto had asked him to stay the night. He was looking forward to it, really he was, he just had a feeling that stuff would happen. Not that he was bothered by it, more like the opposite, within certain limits. It had only been about three weeks since Naruto's sort of confession to him after all, and he wasn't sure what to expect.

"Hey! Come on in!" Naruto said as he opened the door for him, stepping to the side and letting Sasuke take off his shoes and down vest before pecking his mouth.

"You haven't been here before, have you?"

Sasuke shook his head, and Naruto took a hold of his hand, pulling him along past a set of stairs to one side, and a kitchen to the other. He just had time to peek into the living room, Naruto pushing open a door that led to a room to the left of it.

"Here's my room!"

Naruto swept his arm out, as if it wasn't painfully obvious who lived in there. The walls were a bright orange, at least what he could see sticking out from between posters. The bookcase was full of things that mostly weren't books, there was a desk littered with more stuff and the closet door was slightly ajar, but at least the floor was clean. Oh, and the bed was wider than Sasuke's, probably more comfortable too.

"Just put your stuff wherever, I cleaned a little at least, but sorry for the mess…"

Naruto was rubbing the back of his neck, and Sasuke sent him a smirk, placing his bag next to the bed.

"I suppose I'm honored, then."

"Obviously" Naruto grinned, "I only clean for neat-freak boyfriends and annoying relatives."

Sasuke's eyes narrowed, but before he had time to comment, Naruto walked up to him and put his hands on his hips, pulling him close. His fingers snuck through the hoops on Sasuke's jeans, tugging at them playfully.

"You should put on something more comfortable, if we're gonna have a movie marathon."

Naruto's nose poked Sasuke's, his lips forming a smile as they met. Sasuke lifted his hands, placing them over Naruto's biceps, dragging his fingers down and then up again, deciding to put his arms around his neck. Their mouths were so close, Naruto's eyelids falling to half-mast as his head tipped to the side, lips caressing Sasuke's slowly. It felt like he'd been pulled into a secret world, where only he and Naruto existed, where only their bodies mattered. Closing his eyes he pressed closer, eager to let Naruto's heat spread throughout his body. There was something in the way Naruto kissed him lately, something that weakened his knees and turned him to putty under warm tan hands.

"Mm, maybe we should get started" Naruto mumbled, but kissed him a few more times before stepping back.

Sasuke opened his mouth, about to object and say they should just keep kissing, but shut it again. He rubbed a palm against the side of his thigh, feeling a tingle there from having run his fingers through blond strands of hair.

"Yeah, I guess I'll switch to sweatpants."

Naruto nodded, hands swinging back and forth a few times before he pushed them down the pockets of his own sweatpants, their washed out marine blue matching with his loose white t-shirt for once. When Sasuke started digging through his bag he sat down on the bed, trying not to seem too curious about the contents of the bag.

"So did your parents believe you?"

"Obviously" Sasuke snorted, getting up with a bundle of dark grey in his hand.

He started unbuttoning his pants, Naruto averting his gaze which really, he shouldn't need to, but somehow it felt way more intimate to change in front of Naruto in his room rather than at school. They were silent as he changed, neither able to think of something to say during the awkward minute, both trying not to think of other reasons Sasuke might choose to take off his jeans.

The tension left completely as they settled on the couch, Naruto placing the first Harry Potter movie into the DVD. Sasuke had thought it was a little silly to watch the first ones, but Naruto had insisted that it wasn't a true marathon unless you watched them all. Sasuke hadn't pegged Naruto as someone who liked that type of movies, thinking he was more of a stupid comedy/action guy, but as it turned out the blond was a hardcore fan of movies like HP and the Lord of the Rings. Well, he also liked old action movies, probably because he spent most of the time watching them by making fun of the dialogue and special effects. While Sasuke preferred drama with intelligent conversations, or westerns, he'd soon found out that drama made Naruto start snoring, and western apparently was no good due to the lack of cool special effects.

After enough arguments, Sasuke had decided to just give up and watch whatever Naruto felt like. It might have something to do with the fact that whenever a movie bored Naruto his hands would start to wander, effectively ruining any chances Sasuke had of keeping up with the plot.

Oh, and half the time those wandering hands meant tickling.

And so, Sasuke survived through three movies in a row with some pizza in between, spending the beginning of the fourth with his face pressed against Naruto's back, only listening to the conversations on screen.

"Aren't you gonna watch this?"

"I'm fine."

"But this is the good part!"

Sasuke peeked up from behind Naruto, their bodies aligned on the couch, one of Sasuke's arms folded between their bodies and the other hanging over Naruto's side.

"You say that about every part."He went back down, breathing in Naruto's scent, perfectly comfortable with his cheek pressed against Naruto's warm back. "Besides, I know what happens, I don't need to see it all."

They had a blanket over them, creating a cocoon of heat, only their feet sticking out so they wouldn't get too warm. Naruto bent a foot to rub his toes against Sasuke's, fingers distractedly playing with the hand Sasuke so conveniently provided him with.

"Well if you're just gonna cuddle we might as well go sleep."

Sasuke's stomach made a flip or two. He'd spent a lot of time thinking about what might happen when they went to bed. They'd be alone the whole night, and even if nothing much happened, it would still be the first time they slept in a bed together.

"Since when are sleep and cuddle synonyms?"

Naruto struggled to turn around, grinning at Sasuke once he'd managed.

"Why, did you have some other kind of cuddling in mind?"

Smacking Naruto's face with a hand, Sasuke struggled to stay calm.

"Those fucking eyebrows, I swear to god…" he grumbled to himself, Naruto laughing at him and pushing his hand away.

"Come on, let's finish this one first. We'll have too many left tomorrow anyway."

Sasuke glared, mostly because Naruto was arranging him to lie half on top of him, cheek on Naruto's shoulder instead. Not only did it mean he had to watch, he also couldn't shamelessly snuggle up to Naruto's back. Naruto kissed the top of his head, but since he still glared, he was awarded with at least ten smooches all over his face.

"You have such a cute glare" Naruto teased, only managing to survive since he practically had Sasuke in a headlock already.

Sasuke refused to talk to him for almost half an hour.

When the movie had ended, and they'd cleaned up a bit at Sasuke's insistence, it was with an anticipatory kind of silence that they brushed their teeth and changed. Sasuke caught Naruto sneaking glances at him several times, and he wished he knew what was running through his head. He came back from the bathroom to find him standing by the bed, a thoughtful frown on his face.

"Which side do you want? I move around a bit when I sleep… maybe it's better if you take the spot next to the wall."

"You mean you'll kick me in your sleep?"

Sasuke sat on the bed, scooting backwards until he was on what was apparently going to be his side. Naruto laughed apologetically, scratching his cheek.

"I figured you wouldn't be too happy if I pushed you off…"

When Sasuke raised an eyebrow he turned around, switching off the lights, probably thinking Sasuke hadn't had time to see the worried look on his face.

"You've punched me in the face, I think if I can forgive that I can forgive pushing me off the bed."

"Yeah, well, it's not like I hit you that hard."

Sasuke snorted, getting under the covers, feeling the bed dip as Naruto got on as well.

"I knew you were holding back on me."

"Pure self defense" Naruto muttered, moving around a little to find a good position. "I'm sure the girls would have killed me if I damaged your pretty face."

"Probably" Sasuke agreed, twitching when Naruto kicked him. "Your feet are cold."

"Yup."

"So don't put them against my legs, idiot."

"Hey, it's in the job description for boyfriend."

Naruto's innocence didn't fool Sasuke, but somehow he ended up letting Naruto keep his feet where they were. The blond was on his side, facing Sasuke, one arm tucked underneath his head. Sasuke was pretty sure that he was staring, he could feel eyes on him in the dark, trailing up his neck and leaving goose bumps in their wake. His fingers gripped the sheets, his arms feeling cold above the covers. Still, he couldn't move them, because he didn't know how Naruto would want him to move. They'd said they would cuddle but…

His breath caught when Naruto shifted closer, his body lightly touching Sasuke's, one hand finding his and intertwining their fingers.

"Your hand's cold" Naruto mumbled, mouth against Sasuke's shoulder, thumb caressing the back of his hand.

Sasuke didn't say anything, only squeezed back in response. They laid like that for a while, breathing evening out and limbs relaxing. Sasuke turned his head to the side, nose and forehead pressed against Naruto's head. He could fall asleep like that, probably. He just had a feeling Naruto was a long way from falling asleep.

"Don't keep me up waiting all night" he said, swallowing nervously.

Naruto raised his head as if startled, and Sasuke could faintly make out his features in the light that slipped into the room from between the blinds. He leaned in closer, and Sasuke wet his lips, feeling Naruto's breath against them. Closing his eyes he opened his mouth when Naruto's tongue slid against his lower lip, the kiss slow, their senses heightened in the quiet darkness. As always he thought of how soft Naruto's lips felt, how smoothly they moved against his own, how they weakened his lungs and rendered his brain useless. How their touch burned against his cheek, made his breath hitch when teeth joined playfully against his neck.

His heart pounded against his ribs, his body aching to feel more of Naruto's heat, to feel his arms around him. He let go of Naruto's hand, turning a little and placing it on his side, gripping fabric and pulling him closer. The answer was a shaky breath in his ear, Naruto's body pushing closer, moving the duvet from between them. He felt so warm, an arm jammed between his back and the bed, a leg over his, Naruto firm and eager against him.

He embraced Naruto with both arms, arching into him when he felt more weight pushed down on him, fingers pulling his hair and tilting his head back. Naruto's tongue licking his throat created tingles down his spine, and he choked on a gasp when Naruto's thigh accidentally slid up between his legs and pressed against his crotch.

Naruto froze for a second, most likely having noticed that Sasuke was already heavily affected by his touches. Then he kissed him, reassuringly, caressing his cheek, and when Sasuke relaxed he experimentally did it again. Sasuke's nails clawed at his back, but the way he bit on Naruto's lip must have encouraged him because he started a slow rhythm of back and forth, his whole body moving.

"Shit, if you-" Sasuke tried to force words out, but he could barely think right now.

His nerves were on fire, fires lit by Naruto, scorching his skin everywhere he touched. And right now, Naruto's hand had snuck underneath his shirt to touch his chest, hesitantly moving down his stomach and back up, brushing a nipple. He clung to Naruto, wondering through the fog in his mind how Naruto was able to suck on his neck, grind, and grope him at the same time. When Naruto shifted to directly above him, he thought he'd never be able to breathe again. Maybe he'd faint, the way he was pressed so tightly against the mattress, as if they couldn't be close enough.

He was close, so close, just the knowledge that Naruto felt as much as him threatening to throw him over the edge. On the other side was sweet pleasure, he could taste it on the tip of his tongue when Naruto kissed him again. His fingers wound through blond hair, hips jerking up to meet Naruto's thrusts. His name was whispered into his ear, tickling him, causing blood to rush through his body, exploding in his stomach as he folded arms and legs around Naruto.

If he'd ever felt this good in his life, he sure couldn't remember it. He was gasping for breath, pressing his forehead against a sweaty neck, every part of him throbbing. Naruto had stilled as well, only his chest heaving, now with some space between them. After a while, he let out a sated sigh, rubbing his nose affectionately against Sasuke's cheek.

"You ok?" he asked, voice lower than usual, sounding special in Sasuke's ears, like this was a voice you'd only get to hear on occasions such as now.

"Why wouldn't I be?" Sasuke answered, calmer now, letting his fingers run through Naruto's hair and down the back of his neck, tracing circles on his skin.

"Well…"

Knowing exactly what Naruto was getting at, Sasuke turned his head to silence him with a peck on his mouth. He felt completely at ease, perhaps because of his orgasm, perhaps because he hadn't felt hesitant about the development. They still had their clothes on, anyway.

"This much is fine" he mumbled, feeing Naruto smile as he brushed their lips together.

"Ok, good. Want a tissue?"

Sasuke's face heated up, and he pushed Naruto away from him. A little violently, maybe.

"Bastard, see if I try to be nice next time!"

As Naruto fumbled around in a drawer, Sasuke tried not to think of how uncomfortabley sticky the inside of his pajama pants were. He put an arm over his face, trying to calm down again, but not succeeding until several minutes later. By then he was on his side with Naruto pressed against his back, spooning him, and every time lips touched his neck his efforts were rendered useless. Even so, with barely getting any sleep, he couldn't wait to do it all over again.

Aah a little bit of action at last! If you're confused why the pace was really slow in the previous chapter, while now they seem so comfortable with each other, it's all psychological. Now they know they like each other, and they're in it hopefully for the long run. So, Sasuke is a lot more at ease with Naruto touching him because he's such a sap.

Let's all pray for that foot not being useless and helping him in the next chapter. I'm gonna make some dinner now, finally, and then sleep. Goodnight!
