M.E.G.A Mission Part 2
"Welcome humans. My mentor Zordon, placed me here to be the guardian of this planet. I am of the earth and embody its great and mystical powers." The big pendant looking head had a grand voice. Now with the lights being turned on, the Rangers were able to see his face.
"Whoa, freaky tiki," Jake was astounded by Gosei's appearance.
"Guardian, really?" Troy scoffed as he rose an eyebrow.
"Who's Zordon?" Gia asked, "and who are you?"
"I am Gosei." The massive head responded.
"Gosei? Wait, your name is five stars?" Noah asked as a perplex expression covered the other teenagers' faces.
"Very clever human, not many would have guessed that. I have been kept dormant for a great number of years. I have been awoken by the great impending threat of an extraterrestrial origin." Gosei told the teenagers as they all gathered before him, even after Gosei's powerful voice almost scared Jake have to wits.
"Uh, whoever you are, you look like something off one of my dad's Hawaiian shirts." Jake mocked.
"My mentor Zordon is a galactic sage and a force of good. He served as a mentor for the earth's first team of defenders known as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I have taken this form because it acts as my tether to this world. Should this form be destroyed, I will have no choice but to revert to my original appearance which is that of pure energy. My actual appearance is much too great for the atmosphere of this world to contain and should I be exposed, I will bring about great destruction upon the world I was sworn to protect."
Well, that wouldn't be a great idea. Troy's lips puckered, annoyed and tired. Whoever this golden chaplet was they had a lot of guts to bring him to this unknown place. "Alright wizard of oz, what do you want? Why did you think it was such a good idea to kidnap me?"
"This is a perilous time for mankind. The earth needs you." Gosei answered.
"What are you talking about? Aren't there other power rangers out there?" Gia replied.
"Many of their powers have been locked or destroyed, unable for them to be accessed. However, with you, we may have a method of restoring them. By connecting you five to the universal morphing grid, we may be able to use you as a means to recover those lost powers by having you all free them from the grid. You essentially will serve as a great conduit that will hopefully bring about the salvation of earth. Fifteen years ago, Zordon was captured by a great evil known as Dark Spector who was amassing an army to conquer the universe. Before he was captured he sent me ahead to earth, to lie dormant for he already had a plan in place to eradicate the army of darkness once and for all. At the end of the war, Zordon sacrificed himself to ensure that no great army can ever amass their strength again. I was put here to ensure that that promise is fulfilled. I sense that another great army has set their sights on earth and have already dispatched a team to observe and analyze the planet's defenses. If we do not act quickly, the earth will soon be swarmed and overrun by evil. I will not let my master's sacrifice be in vain not while we still have a fighting chance." Gosei explained and by the looks of it, he sounded serious since they weren't able to tell by his expression when he only had one.
Yet Jake couldn't help but chuckle. He thought that punch from Frank was only skin deep and may have been affecting his mind because something as vital as this had to be a joke. He was only a teenager for crying out loud, "A giant talking tiki and now a giant army of aliens. You got to be kidding me."
"I don't think he's kidding, Jake. It's happened before, remember? When we were 6 and we saw the reports of that giant monster thing attacking Turtle Cove?" Noah asked.
"Oh yeah! I remember that my dad was out of a job for weeks while they cleaned up the wreckage those vines caused," Jake responded.
Emma, however, had the proof to conceal the theories hidden right inside her camera. It was valuable information that needed to be shared, to erase the doubt and to clarify that even their own beloved home was never a safe haven from aliens. "Well, he's not kidding."
Emma then brought up her camera for the teenagers to see and as they inspected closer, they gasped at the creature which stomped through the woods. Though Troy had no interest in the photos, what peaked his concern was the wall. The wall which held small silhouettes of the Power Rangers. All the Power Rangers that ever existed before this day, not to mention power rangers which he couldn't have a solid day without dreaming about.
"What gives? Why us?" Gia couldn't believe what she was seeing, her own town was now the victims of aliens. The town she was raised and the town she called her safe house from her past calamity.
"Your skepticism is healthy." The teenagers all took their gazes either from the camera screen or the glass showcase from the unknown cavern as they pull their attention to Gosei when he spoke, "You have been carefully selected to form a team in the long tradition of power rangers. Tensou, show them."
"What? Oh yes, on screen." Tensou, the little-squared robot was invested in the creamy texture of Jake's wasted ice cream. Tensou almost slipped in the process as he faced the five half column screens, initiating a code in the core of his mechanics as he says, "Activated."
One screen boom to life in the color pink which Emma saw herself, riding a bike as she trailed through the forest. As she watched, Gosei interpreted her character in hopes to gain the teenagers' trust, "Emma you're not only a great BMX cyclist, but you also truly care about the environment. You go to great lengths to take care of it. You shall soar up from the flames and rise like a phoenix and be the pink ranger."
That was an interesting watch but she didn't understand why he would even choose her to be a ranger to begin with.
Noah was next and he had shown no form of doubt when it was his turn. The screen in his reach and Noah could only guess what color he would be when it flashed in the color blue. Gosei then elucidated Noah's position in the fight to save the earth as the screen played clips of Noah in the science lab. "Noah, your thirst for knowledge is unequaled. Our future depends upon the work of great scientific minds like yours. As the blue ranger, your attacks will bite with the force of a shark."
Noah's wish had come true, he was chosen to be a power ranger. It made him so happy and not only that but he would finally have the power to batter anyone who got in his way. Noah gave Jake the most ensuring look when suddenly it was Jake's turn.
"There's nobody with the boundless athleticism and enthusiasm to match yours, Jake. I am making you the black ranger, who will fight with the stealth of a snake." Jake's soccer skills were unimaginable as he kicks the ball through goal as it was presented through the screen. Now that Jake thought of it, that suit was pretty cool and the color, "See Noah I told you I was black."
Noah only shook his head but Gia seemed to be smiling not to Jake but to the suit as she looked away and smiled brighter when Gosei called out her name.
"Then there is Gia. You are calm under pressure and pursue excellence with the ferocity of a tiger. You will be the yellow ranger. " Gia was proud of how Gosei portrayed her because everyone only saw her as beautiful, not for her personality. Jake thought that was hot and hoped Gia decided she wanted to be a ranger because he could see her in that suit all day.
"As for you, Troy," Troy stared daggers at the screen and then as his name was mentioned he looked up at Gosei, "your purity of spirit and strength are the result of incredible discipline. Since you've met adversity in your life with great skill, you shall be the red ranger and like the dragon, you will serve as the team's leader."
All Gosei spoke was a bunch of malarkey. While everyone seemed excited when Gosei admired their traits Troy just wanted to scream. There was a video of him practicing his martial arts as well as footage of the teenagers he just met. Who knew what other personal business of his Gosei had upon him. It angered Troy to know all along someone was watching him and expect him to just join his platoon after invading his privacy.
"Where did you get this footage? You've been stalking me?" Troy snapped, "This has to be a mistake."
"There is no mistake." Gosei tried to evade Troy's first question as the boy shook his head in an effort to calm down.
"You still haven't answered my question," Troy didn't forget what he had asked as the golden head remained silent but then he spoke, "...Your anger Troy is understandable and I can sense that you have a great deal of confusion and worries. Don't let those emotions get the better of you. I'm sure you have many questions as to who you are and what powers lie dormant in you."
He can sense or he had seen? Two different things and the more Gosei talked, the more Troy had to bite his lips.
"I implore you, Troy, if you take up the mantle of leadership all your questions will be answered," Gosei said.
"Why is he the leader?" Emma popped the question, surprising the others in her boldness to denounce Troy. After hearing about his history, the others were scared but not her. His impudent attitude from before was enough to get her roused up after she kindly tried to ask him questions. He was so defensive about the footage even when she asked him personal questions. So one with secrets as dangerous as he was should never be called a leader.
"You know," Troy snickered, "I could actually think of a comeback right about now but that's just a waste of my time so I'll just say for once I agree with you." Troy then turned his head back to the talking tiki.
"Just because you say I am a leader doesn't automatically make me one. I find this all senseless and pointless. You can't keep me here and I doubt you can do anything to stop me. So unless you can convince me to stay in the next 5 minutes, I'll be leaving." Troy said.
"Troy, I know you have a great number of questions to your past, but in doing this you will find answers. You all have been chosen because of your skill and character. Each of you will be given access to extraordinary powers that will help you protect the earth." Gosei said and just before their eyes and materializing to sight, 5 abridge devices with a clear mirror image to Gosei, floated in front of the teenagers. Jake, Noah, Emma, and Gia immediately grabbed the unusually bizarre devices, unlike Troy who barely laid a finger on it as it remained floating.
"Those are your morphers," Gosei said as the 5th morpher was forced into Troy's hand whether he wanted to hold it or not. "With them, you will morph into mega rangers. You will wield power cards that will unlock special weapons and abilities. And you shall command mighty machines called Megazords."
"Yo this-uh-...Conceited much?" The appearance of the unusual device in Jake's hand prevailed to be freaky. He was put off by the design, thinking that it was much too big and not easily disguisable. Not to mention it felt like Gosei would literally be able to watch them and see everything they do...oh, wait he already has that ability.
"Morphers, power cards, Megazords? Mega rangers? From what I'm hearing, all this tech seems equivalent to angels." The comparisons were overwhelming in Noah's eyes. The majestic and seemingly divine powers, the semi omniscience of the planet, and a vast understanding of some of the mysteries of the universe made it clear that essentially Noah and the others would become an angel.
"Indeed you are right Noah. As you can see, cards also represent wind, fire, water, and earth. They represent the struggle of opposing forces for victory in life. Now I know the structure of the morpher might be quiet strange but as Noah guessed they have a connection to a deity of power and when combining the cards together it will give you the strength of what is the greater good." Gosei explained.
"You figure out these are equivalent to angels just by playing cards?" Jake asked Noah.
"Well if you read the guardians of the sky Jake, you would have known," Noah said.
"So that's your whole life elevator pitch?" Troy glanced at his watch, five minutes was up two minutes ago and so far all Gosei has done was talk. Will this thing ever shut up? Out of all that talking, Troy had not heard anything that remotely interested him and he was willing to give Gosei one last chance to redeem his wasted time. "You send in teenagers to go fight off in a war when you could easily take them on by yourself. Or in fact, there are arm forces for that, which can't even do a great job themselves but you send teenagers..." Troy wasn't buying into the story. "Who cares about the planet, we already ruined it, who knows maybe the earth is better off being destroyed."
Never before had Emma met someone so cold and heartless. Emma was appalled at Troy's words, sure there was a lot of negatives in the world but there were also a lot of positives. There is still a lot of potential for change. "So all this coming from the guy who said the humans will outlive everyone on earth? I actually thought you would want to fight, being that you have a record of fighting."
Bringing up his past, that was a big no-no in Troy's eyes. This girl was proceeding down a path that not many would dare to tread. "...I don't know what you're talking about."
"Oh really? Is it true you that you gave one kid 2nd-degree burns?" Emma said.
"You play with fire your gonna get burnt." Troy shrugged, "I don't know if you're trying to roast me in some way but remember who's was chosen to be the pink ranger here. If I recall those rangers are the weak ones...the weak ones that depend on the leaders but guess what you have none."
"Hey," Gia wanted to intervene but Emma wouldn't allow it. She was tired of people always looking down on her.
"I got this Gia," Emma said.
"You got what? Are you supposed to scare me or something?" Troy asked.
"Well I'm scared," Jake said as he and Noah watched the altercation unfound which was none of their business but very interesting to see someone stand up to the new kid. The new kid everyone feared.
"No, fear is the last thing I would want to draw upon you because you're scared on your own free will. Because if we were chosen to be power rangers I just want what's best for the environment, which means I think we'd be better off defending the world from you and maybe there wouldn't be innocent people being thrown around by you." Emma scolded, this was a side Gia had never seen before.
"Heh...Okay.." Emma had some harsh words but they didn't outrage Troy's decision more like raise his arrogance and pride. Emma was stupid and naive, she had guts but she didn't have a brain. Everyone in here had no sense of direction and were confused but Troy wasn't going to fall into that category, especially from this Zoltar looking thing and this Wall-e robot which looked to be manufactured in New Tech City. "If you guys want to lay your lives down for some false sense of justice then fine, so be it. Just know from here on out you won't get an ounce of sleep or recognition. Every night you'll lie awake thinking about all the people you failed to save while I'll be sleeping fine. You'll wake up wishing that the fighting will stop but it never will until either you die or they do. Have fun killing each other without me."
With that being said Troy walked away. Gia's best friend was getting obliterated with insults but even though the new kid was a jerk she had to admire him..that was hot...hotter than Jake.
"Troy, please! Don't go!" Tensou called out, following Troy towards the exit which was an archway carved into the wall in the back right corner of the room. The door was constructed of stone which opened upward as Troy approached revealing a descending staircase. "Come any closer and I will punt you..."
Troy left it at that and leaving Tensou puzzled as he said, "What's punt mean?"
"Ah come on Decoy, we could work this out," Jake shouted out. Troy looked back to Jake raising an eyebrow. A shutter of nervousness coursed through Jake's body as the look Troy had given him resembled that of a wild animal. He immediately wished he hadn't said anything.
"That's not his name dude," Noah said.
"Oh um..SORRY!" Jake apologized out loud. Now there were only 4 teenagers standing in Gosei's based and a leaderless group.
"Just forget about it, he's gone now." Emma didn't care at all at this moment as the teenagers put their attention back to Gosei.
"He will be missed, but hopefully he will come around. By with you four choosing to remain here, I am moving forward with the assumption that you accept the responsibilities granted to you. If I am wrong about this, you are free to exit just as Troy has." Gosei beseeched.
Gia looks down at the morpher in her hand and at the face of those around her. None of which brought any major reassurance. Weighing her options, she didn't want to have to give up so much of her life. Maybe Troy had a point, she thought to herself. Emma was quick to read the expressions on everyone's faces. She could see the fear and the doubt rising in them and she had them too, but if it came to saving the planet or saving herself, she'd rather see the earth continue to exist into the near future.
"I'll do it!" Emma said.
"Me too!" Noah shouted.
Jake looked towards Gia, he wanted to fight too, but he also wanted to impress her. Would she think he's was cool if he said he'd do it? Or all the more lame?
"Gia? Jake?" Gosei asked.
"Please," Emma pleaded looking to her best friend, "you said you wanted us to do something together, this could be it. Besides having you with me is like having my mom with me," Emma said.
"And Jake if you do it, think of all the girls who'll want to meet you," Noah said.
"Shut up dude, it's a tough choice," Jake said.
Gia stared at Emma who was pouting with the appearance of tears in her eyes. This look always made Gia feel guilty.
"Okay Emma, I'll do it...for you." Gia gave in.
"If Gia's in so am I," Jake said enthusiastically.
"Really dude? Way to stay cool man," Noah rolled his eyes.
Jake cleared his throat, "I mean..I'm down."
"YAY!" Tensou was excited. At the first try of finding rangers they joined and he succeeded...well almost, they had no leader.
"The world will appreciate your decision to protect the earth...Now rangers, my sensors have indicated a squad of aliens has already descended upon the earth. I'm dispatching you to deal with them. To morph all you must do is insert the power card into the morpher and say Go Go Megaforce!."
"Wait, how are we supposed to restore the powers of previous rangers?" Noah asked when suddenly the rangers dissolved into particles of their respective colors as they vanished in a cyclone. Noah's question remained unanswered, for now.

The exit of the conceal based wasn't a secret anymore when Troy found himself on the shoreline of a beach. It was the ocean alright but the bank was unrecognizable, unfamiliar to hardwood height and different from the beaches of Major Soul City. There was nowhere to go up the seashore, only a forest beyond the bluff he was taken too. Troy had to walk home from here but he didn't know where exactly home was and to make matter worst his phone had no signal so the navigation system was out of the question.
The only thing to do was walk, walk until he found a highway or town of sorts because the only thing living in this forest were the animals who took over. Troy was all alone, hungry, exhausted and confused.
The dreams Troy had of those Rangers, was that some type of cosmic precognition of his destiny? It didn't add up, his life didn't exactly reflect the Angelic Hero type and his leadership abilities was an even bigger joke.
As he walked through the forest crunching the dry leaves and swatting pesky mosquitos out of his face he was sure he was going in a bigger and bigger circle. He had no idea which direction was north or which way led back to civilization. Upon reaching a clearing, Troy stopped to catch his breath, while resting he noticed that the natural ambiance of the forest settled. A twig was broken behind him as he turned to see a creature that resembled a mesh of a mantis and magma. The only type of visible clothing was a shining silver breastplate.
"Aha! I found YOU! With the price on your head, I'll be free from those pirates." It was Creepox.

The rangers apport into the heart of the downtown area of their city. Tensou had lowered the energy of the teleportation system as so they will not be rendered unconscious upon their arrival. However, the teens were ill-prepared for their landing so yet again they found themselves on the ground. The landing was rough but Jake hit the landing right on the spot. His back rested above Gia's legs, his first physical contact and it wasn't the last as Gia pushed him off just as the 4 teenagers struggled from the effects of the second teleportation dive. Landing on their feet was something they needed to work on.
"Is everyone okay?" Emma asked.
"That theoretical transfer...I can't get enough of this." Noah seethed in a positive way even though being slammed on his back was much of a pain
"Look!" Gia shrieked, pointing to what lies in front of them as they all jumped to their feet. The aliens where not what anyone exactly expected. In their minds, they were hoping to see forest green-skinned humanoid creatures with antennae and squinted black eyes. Instead, they saw lime green creatures with eyeball like semi-circles on their chests. Their faces resembled rams horns which curled around into eyes. Around the eye on their chest, they had a design of a black stingray esque creature.
Meanwhile...
"The heck are you supposed to be? Did that tiki send you?" Troy stood tall, his eyes focused on Creepox.
"Tiki?" Creepox queried until it hit him, "Ohh Gosei found you before I did huh. So the sorcerer's apprentice is here as well?"
"I don't know what your deal is but get out of my way. I not in the mood to deal with this." Troy demanded.
Creepox chuckles, "Then this will be easy." All around Troy green piles of goop rose from the ground as the lime skinned minions surrounded Troy and Creepox.
"Loogies! Capture him!"
The teenager balled his fists, in all the fights he's been in on thing remained constant, "they always have friends."
"So those are the aliens." Jake wondered. The cars were not on the roads but were scattered within a plaza. Innocents screaming for their lives as the aliens stomped and tortured the civilians.
"Fascinating!" After seeing aliens all over the news Noah was able to see them up close and personal and it intrigued him.
"Hey, what do you think your doing!?" Jake was out of his mind to shout as he did and he did it proudly. When he did the aliens heard him loud and clear as they drew their swirling eyes to the four teenagers.
"Really, moron?" Gia wasn't happy as she snapped at Jake.
"What?" Jake screeched, he thought Gia will be impressed by his boundless since no one else was willing to confront the aliens.
"They weren't paying attention to us until you opened your big mouth..." Gia answered.
Oh..Jake didn't think of it like that as the aliens began to trail closer to them.
"Okay guys, we are going to take them on head-on. That's all we could do at the moment." Gia suggested.
"Whoa, fight? Without a plan?" Noah disagreed with Gia's strategy.
"You got any other ideas?" Gia asked.
"Well-" Before Noah could speak Emma was caught by two aliens as they took her away. The other aliens circled the teens just as Noah ran for cover. Jake and Gia were now amongst the circle but that all changed when Gia opened a gap for them to run as she punched one to her left and then kicked one to her right.
Gia was amazing when she saved Jake from being pummeled. As he followed her the aliens ran after them and into the cluster of cars the civilians left behind.
Noah hoped the cars will eventually give him cover because there was an important fact he forgot about himself and that was he couldn't fight. That's why he wanted to come up with a plan because fighting wasn't his forte and to think he wanted to be a power ranger. He couldn't even defend himself as alien flew over a vehicle and landed right in front of him.
The alien was out cold but now out and as he expected the creature Noah observe the detail of its suit and the eyebrow stamped on their chest. It sparked intensity revealing that it may have a weakness. He couldn't fight but at least he was able to find a weak point as other alien popped up behind him. He rose and then swung his bag to defend himself against the once unconscious alien awakened.
Emma was in a struggled between two aliens which wouldn't let her go. She tries to wiggle and pull but nothing would release their grasp from her arms.
She had to think fast, riding her feet up a black SUV she was able to flip away from them as they let go. Then another alien came her way, ready with his weapon but given to how flexible Emma was she kicked it out of his head and then kicking another alien who attempted to capture her again.

One Loogie came in for the kill, swinging his khopesh like dagger. Troy ducked and then swayed to the side as he began repeated punches and then a swinging kick to a Loogie which appeared behind him.
Just barely another Loogie almost sliced him in the face but as he went down he rose with a kick up. His foot hit the Loogie with the first impact and when the another Loogie tried to tackle him he tumbled on his back by an arm drag Troy had executed to it.
Now it was just down to one and Creepox was growing impatient. As the Loogie came to challenge Troy it met its end as an energy blast killed the last loogie.
Creepox killed his own minion and as a matter of fact, it looked like Creepox was ready to kill him. His single biggest claws began to glow and before Troy knew it, energy beams were coming right for him. The young boy had to throw himself to the fall and then somersault behind a boulder and as the lasers hit they hit a tree as it broke in half, luckily that was not him but how was Troy going to beat something when he was unarmed.
Leaping over the hood of a car, Jake shuffled the soccered ball between his feet as he ducked an incoming clothesline. There was one Loogie standing on the hood of the car, Jake hit the ball with the roundhouse kicked. I knocked the loogie off the vehicle as it ricochets off another Loogie. Flying back into his hands, he smiled but then frowned to another Loogie approaching Gia. The nervous teenager had her hands clenched into fists but didn't know what was pursuing right behind her.
Jake had to save her and as he delivered another roundhouse kick the soccer ball, it smashed into the Loogie's chest. Gia gasped in relief once she noticed she was being followed and Jake was proud of himself but as it may seem the army of loogies didn't stop there. Two minions pushed Jake onto another car as he slammed his chest into the metal but duck as a loogie swung in for the kill.
Troy dove behind another tree as his previous hiding place was reduced to rubble. This alien freak was strong, Troy knew he couldn't risk those blades touching him. Troy picked up a thick branch that was severed from the trees around him. He waited for Creepox to draw near as he steadied his breathing.
Creepox's sense of smell was keen as he split the tree Troy was hiding behind. The teenager emerged from his hiding place as he swung his branch toward Creepox's head which shattered on impact. Creepox slashed his right claw which Troy dipped under as he brought his knee into Creepox's midsection.
The alien stumbled backward holding his abdomen, laughing at Troy's crude attempt to defend himself. He ran at Troy crossing his blades like an X which Troy narrowly dodged the X-scissor attack, though the blades just barely grazed him his shirt wasn't so lucky.
"What's the matter? For someone's who's met Gosei, where are your powers? You're not all that tough." Creepox mocked.

One by one the four rangers found themselves grouped together as the squadron of invading enemies sent them stumbling back to the point of their arrival. The lime green foot soldiers closed in with their outlandish bladed weapons at the ready.
"This isn't good," Noah said not missing a beat.
"Thanks captain obvious, what gave it away?" Jake responded.
"Don't lose hope, Gosei told us these morphers will give us power, it's time we use it," Emma said taking out her morpher, holding it diagonally to her face with the image of Gosei facing away from her.
"Emma's right, let's see what these things can do," Gia stated taking out her own morpher as Noah and Jake look to each other in agreeance as they too unveiled their morphers. It was morphing time.
Troy's back was still on the dirt as he tried to get away from Creepox. His face was covered in grime and scratches as Creepox walked toward him sharpening his blades maliciously.
"I could just taste the bounty." Creepox chimed.
Troy could barely stand as he staggered away from Creepox. His stomach was on fire from the cut he was given before, there was no way he was going to muscle his way to victory.
"Troy, you are not going to win this fight with brute strength. You must call upon the power I've given, the power of the angels." The voice of Gosei said as the morpher appeared in Troy's hands. Creepox laughed, he also heard the majestic voice of Gosei and saw the red light flash in Troy's hand.
"Go ahead, you will need all the help you can get. Whether it's the good side or bad you still lose and just to let you know the good of the angels aren't always just."
Troy threw the device aside, he did want to rely on the petty strength of anyone, not even a giant tiki head.
"Troy you are smarter than this. You know better than I that the only way you're gonna win this fight is to morph. Be one with the legacy, put the change card in the card slot, you access it by pulling down the loop on the bottom of the morpher. In order to morph shout go-go Megaforce and close the card slot! There is still time to change your past but the only one who can do that is you!" Gosei said as the morpher was returned to Troy's hand.
"Do it! Because the bounty on your head will be even greater!" Creepox said.
Troy didn't have the faintest clue as to what Creepox was talking about. Who gave him this bounty and why? Creepox mentioned something about pirates, what did they have to do with anything?
Gosei did say that by joining the mysteries of his past will be revealed. Was that worth the denial of his stance against the power ranger legacy?
"If you won't do it, then I'll force you to!" Creepox shouted as he sent another dark slash of energy.
"Morph, Troy!" Gosei urged. There was no choice now, the last resort was the morpher. Troy's skills alone wouldn't be enough to fight back but the morpher will as he relinquished to the power.
From the forest and deep into the Hardwood county, the cards flashed blank but then appeared in their individual ranger portraits.
As they opened the mouth they placed was Gosei called a power card into the morpher.
"Go Go Megaforce!" The teenagers in the city shouted.
"Go Go Megaforce!" Troy shouted as well but in the forest.
Rotating the arm that held the morpher counterclockwise while the other went clockwise they then slammed the morpher shut as Troy did the same in the forest.
Then slamming the mouth of the Gosei morpher the teenagers thrust it forward and Troy finished the shifting with a loud grunt.
There a morphing sequence developed. Swinging their arms to the side, the suits flashed onto their bodies as they flew up into the air and landed as the background shined with the height of the clouds. When they were back on their feet, they all looked forward as their discrete animal became a form of animation, creating their helmets once and for all.
They were now one with the legacy, they were now Power Rangers.

"You're a red ranger!?" Creepox said startled.
Troy curled his fingers as he looked down at his white-gloved hands, he didn't feel all that different. Through the tinted shade of his visor, he could see that his appearance has changed. No longer was he wearing jeans and sneakers, he was now dressed in a red and white spandex suit with red boots and a golden belt. On his hip was none other than his morpher.
He has assumed the identity of the thing he despised most.
"..Let's finish this!" Troy challenged as he took a fighting stance.

Noah couldn't believe it, he was a power ranger. Noah didn't know what he was doing but his weak punches he will once throw in civilian form were much stronger in the blue ranger suit.
Emma felt great in the pink suit, the white color blended so nicely with the pink top and the glimmering helmet. It was Emma against 6 loogies but instead of being manhandled she was quicker. She swept her leg, causing a loogie to stagger and then scissors kicked another.
They weren't going to take her down now.
Jumping into action, Gia backed kicked a loogie from behind her as she uppercut another one. Piling side by side the loogies turned to fire against her, again she didn't know but Jake was standing right behind her as the laser's shot for her. One roundhouse kick after the other reflected the lasers off his boots. The soccer practice helped for something not to mention the martial arts lesson were finally put to better use.
Yet again Jake saved her. Could he just stop with the chivalry nonsense already? But then again the suit looked pretty darn good on him when the last of the Loogies were destroyed.

The insectoid spaceship remained stationary as it lingered in the airless void of space. In the main bridge, the two commanding aliens watch as their minions battle the newly formed ranger team.
"Hmm, how odd," The cobalt general Vrak said as he watches the four ranger battle the loogies.
"What? What is it Vrak?" The commanding leader, Malkor asked.
"Forgive me admiral but I have heard of these Power Rangers and I know that they commonly are seen in teams of three or five, and at most six. I also know that their leader is signified by the color red," Vrak said.
"Yes, what are you saying Vrak?" Admiral Malkor asked.
"I'm saying that these earthlings are down one ranger, which is as I said was odd...Where is Creepox? Now would be an opportune time for him to eliminate these Rangers before they become an even larger threat," Vrak declared.
"He should have returned by now, we already know what the strength level of these humans is. He better not be off doing something foolish," Malkor huffed.
"We'll worry about him later." Vrak had spoken, "For now, we should focus on eradicating those pests and I have just the bug to do it. As you know Admiral when we escaped the Armada a great number of our allies were destroyed."
"Yes, I know this. What are you getting at Vrak?" Malkor challenged.
"Well, you remember what we asked for as a sign of loyalty?"
"A sample of each monster's DNA?" Malkor guessed.
"Correct. Though their original bodies are gone, I was able to essentially create a clone from the DNA we collected. May I introduce Scaraba, the rock beetle. He'll be more than capable of rolling over your enemies," Vrak said as the golden beetle monster entered the bridge.
"I am ready to serve you Admiral Malkor. I'll be sure to flatten those humans!" Scaraba said bowing.

With the defeat of the last loogie, the four mega rangers were aghast at the sight of a massive boulder moving toward them. Standing on top of it was the golden beetle warrior Scaraba.
"I'm going to squish you Rangers like a pancake! You should have not interfered!" Scaraba said as he rolled his boulder towards the rangers. The four heroes darted to opposite sides, Jake and Emma one way and Gia and Noah the other. The beetle laughed as he circled his boulder back around for another pass. For a second time, the Rangers had to avoid being flattened, they were quick to assess yet not be able to keep avoiding him forever.
"What's wrong rangers? Am I too much bug for you?" Scaraba mocked.
"This guy is a lot tougher than those minions, we need to knock him off that rock!" Noah shouted.
"Yeah, but how?" Gia asked.
"I have an idea," Jake said as he drew the blaster sheathed in the holster on his hip. He fired repeatedly at the rock, hoping that the boulder would break but the blasts were ineffective as the rock crashed into them expounding outward as stone shrapnel sent the rangers to the ground.
"Ha Ha! Now I will end you, and the insectoids will rule this planet!" Scaraba said as he lorded over the rangers

Troy's reflexes where much swifter now that he was morphed into his ranger suit. As Creepox swung his lethal blades, Troy could sense precisely where they were going to be and acted accordingly.
Troy leaned back just out of reach of Creepox's blades as he tried to sever his jugular. Troy rebounded forward, delivering a swift punch to the insectoid's stomach. He did not let up as he leaped into the air driving his knee into Creepox's chin. The red ranger was amazed at how light on his feet he was, it was like gravity loosely applied to him as he vaulted over Creepox kicking him in the back.
"Finish him, Troy, use your mega weapon," the voice of Gosei said through the morpher.
"My what?" Troy was baffled when from his belt a new card landed in his hand. It was a red sword with a rectangular guard around the handle. Shrugging his shoulders he placed the card into his morpher.
"Summon Battle Gear!" The booming voice of Gosei proclaimed as the red sword on the card now appeared in Troy's hand. Troy smirked as he took hold of the weapon.
Creepox stood to his feet, surprised to see a weapon in Troy's hand, never expecting Troy to be so strong.
"Ha! Do you expect to finish me with that? You don't even know how to use it!" Creepox shouted.
The monster's banter did nothing but annoy Troy as he ran towards his foe. The alien, not one to be outdone likewise charged for Troy as both of his blades were enriched with energy. As Troy ran, he felt both his feet leave the ground as he was now quite literally flying as he zoomed toward Creepox. Both warriors came to a screeching halt several meters away from one another. A flash of sparks erupted from Troy's shoulder as he fell to one knee. Creepox, on the other hand, was not as fortunate as a cross-shaped wound was opened on his chest, cracking his armor.
The mantis insectoid wailed in pain.
"No! This is not the end red ranger, the bounty on your head will be mine!" Creepox yelled as he vanished.
Relieved for the creature to have retreated Troy stabbed his blade in the ground and massaged his shoulder which already started to feel better. Again he stood in silence of the forest when the voice of the sage Gosei interrupted his peace.
"Well done Troy, you fought well. Now you must go and assist the others, my sensors indicate that yet another alien has been dispatched. I can teleport you there now if you wish," Gosei said.
"Annndd when did I say I was going to do this full time. I already told you I'm not willing to lay down my life for the people of this town, they don't concern me," The red ranger said.
"You heard Creepox, Troy, he will indeed be back and as you have seen the only hope you have of defeating him would be with the powers I have given you."
"Well if he wants a rematch I'll gladly give him one, but I never agreed to fight your war," Troy replied.
"I urge you to think otherwise, the fate of the universe is in your hands. Creepox won't be the last for you to face. There are a number of warriors far stronger than he is." Gosei said.
"If they come near me I'll fight them too, but if they attack the city you have four perfectly fine sacrifices," Troy said.
"I didn't want to do this Troy, but I see that there is no other way for me to get through to you. I know about the secret you are so desperately trying to hide from everyone."
Troy paused unable to respond, allowing Gosei to continue to speak through the morpher, "I know why you have been removed from a number of schools. I know more things about you than you yourself know. I will be happy to inform you of these things, so long as you fight to protect the earth."
"How do you...oh right, the stalking. Is this your attempt to blackmail me?"
"Consider it a deal," Gosei confirmed.
"So I fight for you, and you explain me?... Yup, that definitely sounds like blackmail. But if you can explain how and why I'm different then fine, I'll be your red ranger. But don't expect me to like it," Troy stated.
"Very well. I'm teleporting you now," Gosei said as Troy vanished in a cyclone of red particles.

The beetle warrior Scaraba stood over the Rangers, powering up another stone blast to finish the newly formed team. Before he could finish he was blasted suddenly in the back, causing him to lose his focus.
"Who did that?!" Scaraba shouted turning around to look for his attacker. Standing away from him, armed with his dragon sword in one hand and his mega blaster steaming from the barrel was a red ranger.
"Who is that?" Jake asked.
"Don't tell me it's?" Emma moaned.
"There's only one option," Noah said.
The red ranger said nothing as he fired another round from his blaster. Annoyed at being struck again Scaraba charged at Troy quickly amassing another stone ball.
"Hey look out!" Noah shouted as the red ranger ran at the beetle monster. As he ran, his form shifted to that of a red tornado as he blew past the monster. He returned to his ranger form as he stood in front of the others. Scaraba was unaware of what had happened when his boulder was suddenly broken and he found himself on the ground.
"Whoa, that's a sweet sword," Noah said as he and the other rangers regrouped with the red ranger.
"Do we all get one?" Jake asked.
"Troy is that you?" Gia asked.
The red ranger sighed and by the sound of his voice, the Rangers' were able to confirm his identity.
"Yeah.." He admitted.
"You'll pay for that!" Scaraba was down by not out, refreshed on a new ten-ton boulder.
"Rangers! Use the power card of the prime silencer. Giving you a more powerful sole shot the blasters cannot give you alone. It will be hidden within your belt." It was Gosei, informing the rangers through the morpher.
"You really want to fight then fine, Loogies!" Scaraba shouted as the Loogies emerged on his command. As Troy pulled the card from his belt the others did the same. Placing the card into the mouth of the Gosei morpher as they slammed it shut.
"Summon Prime Silencers!" Gosei's voice announced from the morpher.
With the red ranger's blaster unholstered, the rangers watched as he snapped the dragon head on to the barrel of the gold and black gun.
"Loogies, destroy them!"
Running to the loogies not away from them, he shot one loogie to his right and then in front of him. Keeping the distance between his personal space and another loogie secluded as he shot two of them, peering over a destroyed structure. Troy could feel the power surging into his gun as the dragon outline on the side of his helmet flashed.
"Dragon blast!" A powerful beam was shot from his blaster, taking out multiple loogies at once.
"Whoa!" Jake was surprised by the power.
"Come on guys!" Emma said.
"Summon Prime Silencers!" The other rangers' blasters were set and ready with the shark, Phoenix, tiger, and snake all attached to their weapons.
"Okay let's fry these Loogies!" On Gia's orders, the Rangers flipped right into the battlefield. The Rangers had their own fun and as they shot down the loogies, their weapons powered up just the same as Troy's did.
"Phoenix Blast! Snake Blast! Tiger Blast! Shark Blast!" The Phoenix, Snake, Tiger, and Shark outlined on their helmets in a specialty blast for each of them, destroying all the loogies.
"You may have defeated them, but try me on for size!" Scaraba said riding atop a gargantuan boulder measuring a diameter of at least 200 hundred feet.
"There's no way we can avoid that, it's gonna crush us!" Noah said.
"We're not gonna avoid it, we're gonna destroy it," Troy said as he fired his mega blaster at the stone.
"I tried that before genius, it didn't work," Jake complained.
"Well try again," Troy said as the others joined with him, firing their blasters at the rock. The combined force of the laser, funneled through the primary silencers was enough to compromise the integrity of the stone causing it to shatter, Scaraba was not happy.
"I have tricks of my own too!" He said as he manipulated the fragmented remains of his boulder willing them to catapult themselves at the rangers. The team acted quickly, using their side arms to annihilate the projectiles one after another. From the palms of his hands, the golden beetle monster sent rocks hurdling charged with blue energy. Troy took the lead point destroying the projectiles with his sword.
"These blasters won't be enough to bring him down, we need to hit him hard. Take out your mega weapons," Troy said.
"Our what?" Jake asked.
"I think he's saying we each have our own special weapon," Noah suggested.
"Huh, I guess you do have a brain," Troy remarked.
The Rangers opened the cardholder in their belts. They each drew a single gray card which morphed to show an image of their individual weapons. The four rangers opened the mouth of their morphers placing the card in as they slammed it shut.
"Summon Battle Gear!" The voice of Gosei boomed when the weapons were materialized.
For Jake, he received a black battle-ax with a polished silver blade. "Snake Axe!" He shouted taking hold of his weapon.
For Gia, she acquired a yellow-bladed claw which resembled that of a tiger. "Tiger Claw!" She said claiming her sacred tool.
Noah obtained a blue gun resembling a crossbow. He proudly accepted the weapon as he screamed, "Shark Bowgun!"
Lastly, Emma got a pink and white blaster with twin silver barrels. "Phoenix Shot!" She exclaimed as her hand wrapped around the trigger.
"New toys? Doesn't matter!" Scaraba said as he charged forward.
"Listen up I'm only going to say this once. Pink, you and I are going to take the high road, we're gonna vault over and hit him quick and hard. Once he's distracted, Gia, Jake you both strike him from opposite sides. After all, is said and done Noah you finish it," Troy said.
"I thought you didn't want to be a leader?" Gia asked.
"Just shut up and follow my lead!" Troy bellowed as he ran with Emma tailing behind him. The two took to the skies as their weapons filled with energy. Emma shot first as her blasts slowed Scaraba down, which gave an opening for to Troy follow up with two swift slashes from his Dragon Sword. The two rangers glided over the monster as he turned to face them.
Gia and Jake were next. They slid across the ground at astonishing speeds zig-zagging in front of one another as they approached their enemy. Jake raised his ax as he ferociously assaulted the right side. He swung his heavy-weighted ax horizontally, diagonally, vertically. His attacks were non stop. On the left side, Gia's attacks were also intense, her strikes were much swifter than Jake's as she performed uppercuts and jabs each time ensuring that her blade made contact with Scaraba as she and Jake sped by.
Noah was the last to engage Scaraba. He fired his bow-gun sending an angular energy blast toward the beetle monster. The blue ranger charged firing more and more blasts, each dealing a significant amount of damage. Noah jumped into the air flipping into a summersault as he rained more blasts down on the enemy.
The golden insectoid was on the brink of defeat, he did not have sufficient energy to mount a solid defense. Seeing this Gosei spoke to his team.
"Rangers, It's time to initiate your ultimate combination. Merge your weapons for an even greater munition. Use your power cards to charge and fire a Dynamic Victory Charge!"
"Merge our weapons?" Emma asked.
"Of course, as Rangers have done before," Jake said excitedly.
"Let's do it then," Troy says as the rangers nod in agreement.
The Phoenix Shot was connected to the base of the Dragon Sword. The handle of the Snake Ax was passed near the trigger of the Shark Bowgun as the Tiger Claw was added to the end. Lastly, the blade of the Dragon Sword was inserted into the handle of the Bowgun thus completing the weapon.
"This is our Megaforce Blaster!" Noah made up a name.
The Rangers were parted down the middle with Troy standing in the middle, to his right were Jake and Emma and to his left Noah and Gia. The Rangers each placed their respective power card on their weapon energizing the blaster as a whole.
"Dynamic Victory Charge!" They all say as Troy pulls the trigger. A golden beam fires in the image of the Megaforce symbol striking Scaraba, pushing him into the air where he completely detonated.

The excitement was high as the Rangers returned to the base, even Troy was not brooding as much as he normally does. Gia and Emma have entered the base arm in arm, Emma was especially elated to doing this with her best friend. Jake and Noah were next, each of them highlighting their own personal feats. Troy was the last to enter, his lips remained sealed but the arrogant smirk in his face signified that he was happy.
"Well done Rangers, your accomplishments today were commendable. You have made it clear to the armada that the earth is far from defenseless," Gosei said.
"But we were just lucky this time," Noah stated.
"Luck had nothing to do with it, you five rose to the occasion and unlocked your powers. In doing so you have become one with the power ranger legacy. Do not be dismayed, you were rightly chosen," Gosei said.
"Against our will...or did you forget that. You know we could have died out there," Troy said leaning up against the back wall.
"He's right about that, I never would have considered actually dying," Jake said.
"What happened to the macho man who bravely volunteered?" Gia asked glancing at Jake.
"Oooooooh, burn," Noah commented.
"A fire?" Tensou wondered as he wheeled into the room.
"No, a figure of speech," Noah explained to Tensou.
"I'm glad that you each have chosen to stay here and fight for the Earth," Gosei said.
"I have a question Gosei, will we ever get the chance to meet the other rangers?" Emma asked.
"I do not know what fate lies ahead of you Emma, but in due time your paths may cross with your predecessors," Gosei said.
"Oh, what other cool powers do we have and how do we use it? I have a score to settle with Frank, he's gonna think twice about messing with me next time," Jake said with a smile.
"As I'm sure you all have noticed, you each have command over a certain power. Troy and Emma, you both command the skies and the heavens. Everything that passes through there is yours to control. Gia and Jake, the two of you are masters of the very earth itself. Every stone or plant can be used as an extension of yourselves. Lastly Noah, you alone are the sovereign lord of the seas. Every current, wave, and creature are at your disposal." Well wasn't that just great out of all the people Emma had share powers with the skies and Gia had to entwine with another to support the functions of the earth.
"These powers are not to be toyed with. The can only be employed for defense against extraterrestrial threats. My mentor Zordon always warned that use of your power for personal gain runs a risk of you losing its protection." Gosei stated.
"Gosei, our powers where do they come from exactly? What is our job as the Megaforce besides fighting aliens? Why am I the only one of the seas?" Noah asked.
"The responsibility of the Megaforce is to uphold the balance between the primal forces of good and evil. Since the dawn of time, those very forces have been in conflict with one another, it is said that the first planet embodies this struggle as shown by the way it is designed. One side burns vibrant orange, while the other shines brilliant silver. Neither side having the strength to fully consume the other. With each new life that is created the balance between these forces can tip. If there's too much good and not enough evil then there will be no room for failure and life as a whole will cease to exist. Likewise, if there's too much evil rather than good, life will destroy itself never again to rise from the ashes. That's why it is our job as the Megaforce to ensure that the balance between good and evil is preserved. Our mission is to Maintain the Equilibrium Given to All. M.E.G.A."
"The powers you all were given are drawn from those initial energies and made manifest through the universal morphin grid. As you can see lining the room are the images of those who came before you. They also were warriors and heroes who fought to perpetuate the stability of those two great powers. Their energy signatures have been locked in the morphin grid which has reconstructed them into the forms you see now. In due time you will receive the ability to enact those lost powers thus freeing them and making them accessible not just to you, but to the ones who held them before. As for your second question Noah, the answer will be given at another time. I know this is much for you to process, but it is more beneficial for you to understand now, why it is imperative that we defeat the Armada, or else we all lose," Gosei made clear.
"Well when you put it like that, we're a force to be reckoned with," Jake said patting Noah on the shoulder.
"You are indeed. You are the Power Rangers Megaforce." Tensou cheered.
"You know we did just save the city. I'm kinda in the mood for-,"
"A low-fat cherry berry strawberry with carob chips but no hot fudge from Ernies. I ordered you one, though it's probably gone by now" Gia said cutting off Emma who smiled that her friend remembered.
"You guys are going to Ernies? Can I come?" Noah asked.
"Sure," Emma said smiling.
"Then count me in too, Ernie owes me money!" Jake said as the four rush out of the base but Troy hung back as he stared at Gosei.
"So are you gonna start talking or sit there and play dumb?"
"Be warned Troy, the information of your past is troubling. It may take time for you to process it all," Gosei replied.
"Try me," Troy said.
"...The abilities you have are not of this world. They are of a rare occurrence only seen once every few hundred years. It was said that the last person to have these powers greatly tipped the balance of good and evil. I am not sure yet what these powers will mean for you, only that you are of great importance."
"Hm..and what about the dream?" Troy inquired leaving Gosei to elude to Troy's question. "Every night I see a huge battle fought and the main combatants are lining the room."
"You've been having dreams of a great battle? This is the first I've heard of such. No chosen one before you has exhibited such signs. This requires further study," Gosei ended.
