Cross: "Oh what a wonderful suggestion from Sonadow345, the author really is inexperienced with writing dialogue, see his test scores they're not good"

Cross: Takes out folder "So I guess this doesn't say that-" the folder is incinerated
Me: Holding flame thrower "Story starts now"
Cross: "YOU DIDN'T EVEN WRITE A PLOT!" gets blasted by fire

"I can't believe that backfired all to hell." Cross said dragging a box of parts into a fully lit white room with cylinder pedestals.
He threw the box at Eggman who was working on a robot with no distinct features other than it being coloured a light grey and a hatch that was on its chest along with several smaller ones scattered across the body.
"We had all the main characters, some Fcs too and yet we forgot about side characters being useful…" Cross said with an annoyed look and his left arm unattached as it was charging in a capsule nearby.
"Well we got all the data we needed" Eggman said while using a blowtorch to seal the joints with the circuits. "And despite not having the core at full power…" Eggman then opened a capsule containing said core and picked it up. "We still have the memory of my most loyal ally within it, so it will not betray me."
Eggman inserted the core into the robots chest then he closed and sealed the hatch shut as the robot came online, its visor like pupils adjusting into spiral patterns glowing a ghastly silver on the black screen that was its eyes.
"YES IT'S FUNCTIONAL!" Eggman yelled triumphantly as his creation began moving from its short pedestal.
"Weird… guess this guy must have been pretty loyal to not kill this bozo while he was caught up in his gloating" Cross thought when the robot began announcing itself
"Systems operational… Awaiting command…" it said in a voice that seemed almost bored.
Eggman then stoped dancing to the relief of everyone in the room and turned back towards the robot.
"Ahh yes, well, seeing as how we were recently attacked it would be best to lay low and gather more power for the core and make it fully operational as right of now all it does is allow the bot to function"
"Well wouldn't have this problem if you didn't power up that stupid Monkey Mech with the damn thing!" Cross yelled
"That was a test run! Anyway" Eggman walked over to the robot which had been staring blankly for the entire conversation. "Go collect more power Cross while I go name my latest creation"
"So more mobians with unique abilities?" Cross asked reattaching his arm "Cause you know that I only got lucky those times and you know I had 2 eyes before working for you." He finished while glaring at Eggman.
"Good point, finding and capturing them all again will take too long…" Eggman mused " Get the emeralds instead and capture anyone who gets in your way, I don't care who just do it!" Cross was taken a back by this and left as quick as he could.
"Once Cross gathers the emeralds you will be fully operational… Core…" when Eggman finished this Cores eyes briefly turned yellow.
Emerald Coast
"Oh come on Sonic…" Amy said as she arrived on the beach with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Cream and Cheese and Silver ,who stayed after the incident a month ago.
"No not happening, there's no way I'm doing it" Sonic complained as Amy tried pulling him into the water.
"Is he really still afraid of the water?" Silver asked in disbelief at how childish Sonic was acting when Tails pushed Sonic in.
"Yeah looks like it" Knuckles said while getting an ice cream cone.
The two then went over while Cream was making sea shell necklaces with Cheese and Amy was playing water polo with Tails who was winning from the slightly angry looks on Amy's face. Sonic was lying underneath an umbrella when Silver started making a sandcastle as Knuckles enjoyed his ice cream. All in all they were having a good day on the beach and Cream had made them all necklaces when Silver saw a sign up table and went over to see what it was.
"A surfing competition?" Silver said looking at the pamphlet he was handed from a human male at the table.
"That's right" the man said "If you can gain the crowds attention you win."
"Sounds interesting enough" Silver said signing up when the rest of the group noticed him doing this.
They all raised an eye except for Cheese, who had tilted her head to the side in an adorable manner, in a questioning manner to what he was doing.
"Surfing competition, it seemed interesting and besides it can't be too different from extreme gear riding like in the World Grand Prix tournaments" Silver said causally while going over to get a surfboard.
"Sign me up then" Knuckles said running over to the table.
"Wait for me" "Hold up" Amy and Tails said respectively following Knuckles.
"You can count me out, I'll just watch from the shore" Sonic said
"It looks fun but I will have to decline because I don't think I'd be able to enter the competition" Cream said gesturing to the age limit of 7.
"Honestly the odds of that were small…" Knuckles said grabbing a green and yellow surfboard.
Tails turned to him, holding an orange surfboard "Knuckles it's regulation and even if Cream was a good surfer, no offense Cream"
"None taken"
"She wouldn't be allowed to enter"
"I was going to keep Mr. Sonic company while we watched so he wouldn't be lonely" Cream said when Cheese landed on her head with the small orb turning into a heart "Chao" Cheese said.
20 minutes later
"Welcome everyone to Emerald Coasts Monthly Surf competition" An omochao said into a microphone as the crowd cheered.
"Let me introduce you to our 10 competitors, First up is Larry the Bear." A green bear raised his arm in triumph when the crowd cheered for him.
"Next is Amy Rose" Amy waved to the crowd with a pink surfboard while wearing her riders outfit but switching the pants and shoes for shorts and sandals.
"Emerald Guardian Knuckles the Echidna" Knuckles simply walked over, slightly annoyed with the cheering.
"Hated adversary, Cross the Cat" the crowd booed at Cross who had entered the competition.
"What? You're all still mad about the kidnappings? Quit living in chapter 2…" Cross said while being knocked over by the next competitor.
"Lucy the weasel, our current favorite for that action" the crowd cheered as the black weasel smirked.
"Tails the Fox" Tails flew over to the shore with his board in hand.
"Lava surfer, Silver the Hedgehog" Silver levitated over with his board gaining a cheer from making the crowd think it was an extreme gear.
"Wave starter, Pete the Boar" A blue boar let out a laugh while walking over.
"Normal surfer, Dave" a man was just waving while carrying a white board.
"And last but not least, winner of 5 competitions in a row, the frenzy festivity, Slit the Wolf-seedrian" the crowd cheered louder than previously thought as a cyan wolf who had branches on his head and half his arms being green and plant like, along with his chest fluff and part of his head, wearing a pair of sunglasses and yellow and white shoes walked up doing the peace symbol while carrying a turquoise surfboard.
"Who is this guy?" Knuckles asked
"Honestly I don't know but-"
"Wait is he part Seedrian?!" Tails said in shock remembering what had happened 4 months ago.
"Yes I am, but I'd be more worried about the competition, cause I'd rather surf than answer questions" Slit said
"Wait… I don't remember…" "I was surfing last month" "That explains it…" Cross said to Slit in a thinking pose.
"Anyway…" Omochao started "I can see the waves coming so you all best be going now!" the surfers began running into the water while Sonic gave Cream and Cheese an ice cream cone each.
"Thank you Mr. Sonic" Cream said.
"No problem, so who do you think is gonna win?" Sonic asked when Cream began thinking while Cheese ate her ice cream.
"I don't want to pick favorites."
"Well I don't want Cross to win, he really doesn't have the right to win."
"I may have to agree, he's not a nice person."
"That is true after all."
"SURFS UP EMRALD COAST!" Slit yelled as a wave began coming towards them.
Done with that now, also the 4 months ago was a reference to Sonic X season 3 for those who didn't get it (also the worlds fused in my version but the plots basically the same, fusing the games and shows are confusing especially with current games where no humans are seen) next chapter whenever…
