"Suffer you filthy humans!"
Belle Taurus raised her foot above the three human children cowering beneath her. She had found them wandering around the camp, they claimed they were lost but there fact that they were human was cause enough for her to hate them. She was ten years old, her dark curly hair complimented her face and accented piercing red eyes. She was wearing a ripped white shirt with a vest, a pair of black shorts with a red plaid skirts complimented with belts, arm warmers, a beaded choker and boots. Her cat tail flicked excitedly behind her. An evil grin spread on her lips as she kicked them. This was much more fun then how the day started
Light streamed into the muted green tent. The faunus girl groaned and shifted in her cot, pulling her blankets over her head. She hated mornings and today made it worse. She could already hear movement outside, even as dawn peeked through the clouds a flurry of activity was already starting. She sunk further down into her pillow trying to get a little bit more sleep but the birds interrupted, pulling her back to full wakefulness. She groaned in annoyance, pulling the pillow up over her ears to try and block them out, her thick black hair falling in front of her eyes. She wrapped her tail around her leg and tried her hardest to relax. 'I hate moving' She thought bitterly.
A moment later her sleep was interrupted a third time by footsteps approaching her tent. The flap was pushed aside as Adam peeked in, his mask looking as foreboding as always "Belle, time to get up" He said, his voice holding no softness
Belle groaned, sitting up and stretching "Yes Father" She answered. Adam left her to get ready and Belle hopped out of bed. She looked around the tent. It was spacious, the second biggest tent in the camp aside from her parents. Her cot took up the bulk of the space but there was also a dresser, a desk and rugs lining the floor as well as a couple chairs in the corner. She yawned, shaking the remaining sleep from her mind. After getting dressed she stepped out of her tent and greeted the day. As she wandered around she was greeted cheerfully as she made her way to the dining tent.
As she entered her mother was already sitting at the long table with a plate of eggs, she turned to her with a smile "Good morning, Belle" She said.
The dark haired girl smiled back "Hello Mother, what's for breakfast?" She asked
Blake motioned to the plate across from her "Pancakes, your favorite"
Belle sat down to eat, pancakes with strawberry jam, yummy. After her moment her father came in sitting next to his wife, placing a kiss on her cheek and the rest of the breakfast continued in silence.
As Adam watched his family he couldn't help but smile when he thought of how it could've gone all wrong. Years ago him and Blake were on top of the world, leading the White Fang to glory when he overheard her confessing something to another member. It was late and Adam was walking past one of the tents when he over heard her voice, it sounded pained and Adam leaned in to hear it better.
She wanted to leave?
"He's a monster"
She was leaving him?
"He's becoming a demon"
At the train heist?
"I can't stand him turning out like this"
Was it because of that Cinder woman?
"I have to leave"
Adam was stunned, she couldn't be leaving him, she was all she had. What would he do without her there supporting him, she was his rock, his shoulder to lay on, his strength.
She was everything to him, there was no way he was going to let her leave.
Later that evening Adam cornered Blake in their shared tent. He tried to act calm, the stoic leader, but he broke down at the thought of his only love leaving him, holding her close and confessing his fears. Whether touched by his sincereness or his patheticness, she somehow agreed to stay.
Their daughter was born shortly after that married. Blake was hesitant to give up her name when they married so Adam suggested to name their child Belle to compensate. They were lucky she ended up a cat faunus despite their differing traits and Adam swore to raise her in everything he believed in.
Fast forward to present day and the White Fang was thriving through the families combined efforts and Adam could almost see his dream of faunus equality become a reality. After breakfast the family spent the rest of the day packing and tearing down tents. Moving the camp was a common occurance and Adam was glad that Belle was old enough now to help despite her complaints.
It was sundown by the time they finished, Belle placed the last box into the back of the caravan and sighed 'That took forever' she thought. She was about to turn back to ensure they didn't forget anything when something caught her eye. A bush was moving at the edge of the forest. Intrigued, she wandered over expecting a squirrel. What she found was a group of children, human children.
The oldest looked up happily "Finally, someone found us!" She cried
The second one smiled "We've been lost out here forever, can you help us?"
"Please?" Said the third one
Belle simply grinned
Adam was checking the camp site when he heard a disturbance near the forest. When he walked over Belle was stomping on a group of human children, an evil smile playing on her lips. She laughed gleefully as the children cried.
"Belle!" He cried
The red eyed girl looked up with an innocent smile "Father, I found these trespassers trying to get into our camp" She said gleefully
The oldest one looked up, her left eye was black and her face was covered in bruises "That's not true, we wer-"
"Shutup!" Belle kicked her down again, her foot on the humans head, she looked back up at her father expectantly "Are you proud?"
Adam's face softened "Well done, Belle" He said "But were leaving soon so you better hurry"
The children could only stare in shock as Belle skipped past her father over to the caravan
"Don't forget your mask!" Adam called
The childrens confusion turned to fear as Belle slipped on a white cat mask from the caravan. The oldest recoiled "White... Fang?" She breathed
Belle turned back with a devious grin, the slits on the mask were terrifying.
"Belle honey, we're leaving" A female voice called from the back
The faunus girl skipped happily over and jumped in. The children's confusion continued as the caravan rolled into the distance.
