The argument we had earlier was still fresh in my mind as I sat down in Maddison's trial, Maddison looked over at me and gave me a tight lipped smile - which in an instant I returned. This girl didn't deserve to be on trial for something she had committed to protect her family and friends - she was loyal throughout the whole seven years I was there. "I'm not lying!" She shouted, tears were rolling down her face - the pain was evident in her face as she tried to control the tears.
"Well, Miss Stone people saw you kill one of your own." The inquisitor said and I clenched my jaw, son of a bitch.
"She wasn't one of our own," I said, standing up to defend my best friend. "Never had been, she betrayed all of us in the end and when we needed her the most - she tried to kill me." I said, protecting Maddison at all costs. "This isn't fair, on her or us." I said and the inquisitor sighed.
"All charges are dropped, if we can prove that Miss Noah's murder attempt on you can be proven." She said and everyone I knew - sighed in relief but not relief because now we had to prove she tried to kill me.
I stood in the vampire den and started kill of vampires around me, when I was slammed up against the wall. "Hello dear," Damon's voice came through my head and I tried to wriggle out of his grasp but It didn't work. I punched him in the jaw, causing him to fly back but when I went to try and do a roundhouse he managed to break my leg, before slamming me hard against the wooden floor. "Belle!" Maddison's voice, raptured through the air as she came running towards me, throwing a seraph blade through Damon's heart, killing him instantly.
"Hey, look at me. Don't shut those wonderful blue and brown eyes on me now." She said, and I heard her voice break on the last words.
"Hey, I'm okay. It's just a broken leg, I'll be fine." I said, and I looked down to see blood there.
"Just a broken leg huh?" She asked, teasing me and I rolled my eyes as I hissed in pain. "Maddison!" Shouted Chloe, Cayden and Gino.
"Through here!" She shouted as she put pressure on my wound.
"What happened?" Cayden asked, sitting down next to me as Chloe opened a portal.
"Damon threw her to the ground and basically stomped on her leg, breaking it." Maddison said as my eyes started to droop closed.
I woke up, groaning and failing my arms about before they are grabbed, "Hey, little sister. Calm down" Jace said and I finally peeled my eyes open to look at him. He looked extremely tired and worn out. "Jace?" I asked and he nodded, pursing his lips into a thin line.
"You okay Belle?" He asked, looking down at me and I nodded - holding a sigh in as I saw the dark circles that had formed underneath his eyes. "Jace, how long have you not been sleeping?" I asked, my voice cracked - worried about him.
"4 Days," He admitted, "Not worse than Alec though, he's been - let's say a bit distant and only has to talk to anyone if need to." He said and I stood up quickly, "Woah, where are you going?" He asked, cocking a brow.
"To find Alec, and hopefully knock some sense into him." I said and Jace sighed, knowing I would do exactly that.
