Young but not defenseless
A true swordsman at heart
He follows the backs who went before
Intent to walk their every path
Knowing the steps he has to fill
Observing the gap, yet not giving up
A/N Here's a bit of freeverse poetry. The shard I used for this one was Yahiko's determination to follow in Kenshin's and Sanosuke's footsteps no matter what. It shows his boundless will and potential even though he knows how much stronger he has to get before even getting close to surpassing either of his mentors.
