a/n: Sorry for the changes I've made to the story, hopefully you're not too confused!

Disclaimer: Remember what I wrote before…still applies

I finished up breakfast and headed to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Jacob had left downstairs to get the car ready to go. He still puttered around in the Rabbit he built; for reasons I'm not quite sure of, he still loved that car.

Jacob had kept his word though; I had no idea of we were going to do today. He was not the best secret keeper, but today he was a locked vault. The clothing he set out for me, jeans and a white tee, gave nothing away, unfortunately.

I dressed and pulled my hair back, brushed my teeth and washed my face. I knew I didn't have long, and I really didn't need it either; Jake was not a rather patient guy.

Jacob was calling me from the bottom of the stairs. "Bells you ready, my car can't idle forever ya know"

"Yeah, Yeah, I'm coming down" I grabbed my jacket off the chair and headed down the stairs.

I was near running as I reached the bottom when Jacob turned the corner and I ran smack right into him. Jacob had really grown over the past couple years, I think he reached his full height but his musculature changed continually. He never missed a night of running patrols with the pack. Over two years of running at break neck speeds every night was bound to change him. His wiry muscles turned into solid, broad muscles.

"Ow, sheesh I didn't know you were in such a hurry to leave" Jacob grinned deeply.

"Sorry, I just didn't want your car to explode on us." I could tell this was the right button to push. I hid my smile, knowing I was going to burst into a fit laughter at any moment.

"Ah, now you're really not going to know where we're going"

"Would it make you happy if I start calling your car The He-man" Laughing at my own joke Jacob turned on his heel and started out the front door "You're hilarious Bella".

Still not able to hold in my laughter I saw his car in the driveway. It only brought on more rounds of laughter…the back was being completely sunken down, the shocks probably taking all they could.

"Is He-man going to make it to wherever we're going, looks like it's quite loaded down?" That did it; I couldn't quite tell if he was on the verge of laughter or annoyance.

He wasn't laughing yet but laughter was contagious. There is absolutely nothing better than laughing. I nudged his side with my elbow, hoping to get him to smile. It worked. He pulled me in closer and held me tight.

"Ya better hope He-man is going to make it, or we'll be walking quite a ways" His laugh was really picking up as he said this…

"Why's that so funny" A little confused at why walking a long ways was so funny.

"Just picturing you walking for more than a mile and actually living to see the next mile"

"Well I'm glad that I can make you laugh, even if it's at my own expense" I truly meant it too, I'm clumsy, It's just a fact of life for me, and I've come to accept it. "

"Sure, sure, let's go." Still smiling he opened my door for me and I slid in. His car always held the same smell…and brought back the same memories every time I got in; memories of building our motorcycles, sitting in the garage drinking sodas and talking.

I looked in the back and saw a huge load of camping supplies… ugh…camping? What is worse than hiking…camping. I tried really hard not to show my disappointment when he got in the car but it must have been evident on my face.

"Don't look so worried Bells, I have everything planned so we can have a good time and relax a little ok?" It really should have helped…but it didn't. How can you relax while camping?

"Can you please at least tell me where we're going camping?" It would help me relax. As long as we were not in the middle of nowhere we'd be fine; and I think I could handle it.

"Well were going to the Makah Res up north, I have some friends up there"

I tried hard not to let the groan escape my lips but it came out despite my attempts to hold it in.

"Bella do you trust me?"

"Of course I do" What kind of question is that? I knew without a doubt I could trust him, he has always been there for me; even when I pushed him away.

"Okay then… just trust me and we we'll have a great time, you'll see"

"You're right; I'm sure we'll have fun and relax as long as were together"

Under all my dreadful feelings of camping there was something else there. Something didn't feel right, a small stirring within me. Almost as if I was trying to warn myself of something. I couldn't quite place it…I've felt this before…too many times. I tried to reassure myself that I was just worried about the whole camping trip, but that was fairly useless. I knew I didn't want to talk to Jake about it, he was so ready to have fun I just couldn't ruin it for him this week. But why now?

"We've got to stop by the gas station, and then we'll be on our way"

"I'm going in to get some snacks for the ride" I knew breakfast was going to hold me over until dinner but I knew with a certainty that Jake would get hungry before our drive was over…better to be prepared than have a hungry werewolf on my hands.

The drive went by fairly fast. We'd been driving for only bout and hour or so; which we filled rather quickly with talk about which college we were going to apply to. I was adamant on both of us attending. Jacob was not by any means excited about going to college. His excuse as always is that he wanted to rebuild motorcycles and sell them and didn't need school to do that. His interest in motorcycles had increased tenfold after he finished building ours. My excuse back to him was that he could still go to school and get a degree in it. I was not completely sure what I wanted to do myself…only that I knew we both needed to attend. Neither of us wanted to go far. We both had family and obligations in Forks that required staying close. Jake would never be able to be far from Forks and neither would I; for a number of reasons I felt like I was anchored here and could never bring myself to leave.

"Hey look there's the sign that says we're here!"

"Wow, I thought it said "Welcome to the Makah Nation" but maybe I'm wrong" My voice was dripping with sarcasm.

"Ha Ha, very funny"

Beyond the sign I could tell that this place reminded me lot of La Push. Just beyond the town I could see the wide open ocean. The coastline on the Makah reservation was beyond beautiful. There were no words to describe it. Sprawling trees and forest flora pushed as far to the edge as possible. The green of the forest met with the blue of the ocean in a bright crash of colors. I'm truly amazed, I'd been to La Push thousands of times but it didn't compare to this place.
