========== Chapter 3: The night a Fallen God was born ==========

Little did Keima knew, the site which he had made just moments ago suddenly became a hit in the net. "This site...", a man said as he is fazed while looking at the screen of his computer. He is fazed quite nicely that he forgot to say what comes next in his words. Suddenly, another guy barged in who happened to be carrying some sketch papers. "Yo, what's up?", the guy asked his friend. The other guy still didn't made a reply. Seeing that he got no response, he approached his friend to find out what's wrong. "Why you have that look at your face? You look like you saw a ghost.", the guy said. "Look", the other guy replied. The man who just entered looked at the screen. "Hey, these are the names of the games we just released the other day", he said, "So what's the de-, wait a sec, don't tell me this site lists all the walkthrough for the listed games?". The guy who was fazed moments ago just shooked his head and then gave a big sigh. "Are you serious? You gotta be kidding me!" the other guy replied in shock. "Man, I designed those games to be hard as possible. No one's supposed to reach its ending." When he said that, he just spilled out that the games that he conceived in the past where designed as such. In other words, there's a chance that it has bugs. Upon realizing that, he quickly covered his mouth as fast as lightning. "Tch... forget about that", the other guy started to get grumpy. As it turns out, the two guys chattering were employees of a Japanese video game company specializing in galges. As they were arguing, another guy came in. "Tanaka and Oda, stop fooling around! We've got work to do!", the newly arrived man said. "Fine, Tanaka", Sakaki replied. Tanaka left afterwards. "Sheesh, why do we need to work in an hour like this?" Oda complained. "Quit it, at least we get paid nicely", Sakaki rebutted him.

It's 12 midnight and the workers are all busy. Everyone has their own stuff to do. No one's in an idle mode. No one seems to take a break considering all the work that seems to happen either. Footsteps, the sound of keyboards being capped, opening and closing doors, papers on tables, computer screens displaying lots of digital files, and doodles on white boards, that's all that is there in such a late hour. The guy who first saw Keima's website was Eichiro Sakaki. His upbeat friend is Senzo Oda. And lastly, their big-shot chief editor is Taro Tanaka. The game company, Atlis, specialized in games that use well-drawn graphics. They also get to use seiyuus that have great voices which improve the quality and atmosphere of their games especially their visual novels. The company's also quite savvy, having an excellent compound building that serves as their headquarters. The company is based in Narusawa city, a city bustling with progress. It's no surprise that Atlis is such a good-performing game company considering the conditions it has.

After rebuffing both Senzo and Eichiro, Taro went back to his office. When he opened the door to his office, he just found beta samples of galges that are to be released and only needs the editor's approval lying on top of his desk. The games were already tested by the developers. Technically, the company president has the final say about the release of the games. However, the company president gave the chief editor the authorization to do as such whenever he's away. This is quite a privilege for an employee like Taro. However, he knew very well that he must not take things carelessly. Overall, he is a responsible person. He doesn't take advantage of anything and he's just in his early 30's. Eichiro and Senzo were at their late 25's. As he is about to touch the one of the games on his desk, an employee entered and told him something. "Boss, we got some unexpected news", the employee said. "Eh? What is it Ekoda?", Taro replied. "E-erm, one of our PROs received information about a site that lists all of our games with walkthroughs regarding them", Junichiro said. "What's the big deal about it?", Taro replied with a curious face expression. "Well, some of the games listed in it are the ones we launched yesterday", Junichiro replied. "Hmm... that's odd, the games we released back there were supposed to be finished in more than 3 days", Taro replied although he got more curious about the matter. The guy who was just conversing with Taro was Junichiro Ekoda. Honestly, he's a 20-year old college student working part-time for Atlis. He's one of the company's part-time employees who seek to become full-time workers once they got the necessary stuff to work as such. Nevertheless, the reason why he chose to work part-time is to earn additional money for himself and because he liked the job. "How many views did that site have by now?", Taro asked. "Less than a dozen, boss", Junichiro replied, "because it was just published about an hour ago". "Huh?", Taro was surprised to hear it.
