Kagome looked around in relative boredom, no one had really asked her about whether she wanted to go to Hogwarts, they just all decided on it on their own. Not that it mattered anyway, she didn't get choices. Again, she wasn't complaining, she just didn't want to be out shopping for things she'd need in accordance to this list. She eyed the parchment with disdain as Draco took hold of her hand and pulled her a bit further down the road in Diagon Alley. "Why do I have to get things too? I can use magic without your tools."
"Because, you aren't just going to be taught by Madam Pomphrey, Snape also wants a go at you too. He said it'll help you as far as antidotes go and what not. That, and father told him to keep an eye on you." Draco guided her into Slug and Jiggers Apothecary shop located on the northern part of Diagon Alley. "Where is your list?"
Kagome stuck her hand into her pocket, pulling out a folded piece of paper, she gave it over to Draco who looked at the lit and frowned. "What's that look for?"
"He clearly made this list with the idea that we are paying for everything."
Kagome raised a brow, "but aren't you?"
"...that's beside the point, sir?" Draco walked up to the man behind the counter, "could you have everything on this list gathered by the hours end?"
"Of course, it'll be ready."
"Great, let's get your work robes and dress robes."
"And a coat would be nice."
"We can get you a winter robe too,"
"No, a coat, Draco. Big, warm, fluffy...one that can fit two of me preferably." She laughed at the sneer on his lips, leaning forward and kissing him playfully on the forehead before sauntering off as she glanced about the street for a clothing shop of any kind. To her greater disappointment, only Robe wear was sold about the Alley. They had clothes...just, nothing she herself was accustomed to.
"Hey, wait up!" Draco tugged on her cloak and pulled her closer, "the dress shop is this way, Twilfitt and Tattings."
"What's wrong with this one?" Kagome pointed to her left, noting that the robes shop that Draco was referring to was on the South side of the Alley, and they were on the north, not to mention, already at the door to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.
"Malfoy's do not shop there, at least...not anymore, we don't."
"Then your reputation as Malfoy's shouldn't be tarnished, as we can see clearly, that I'm not a Malfoy."
"But a Malfoy is paying, and that is close enough. Now let's-"
"Draco?!"
Draco froze midsentence at the ear-piercing squeal of Pansy Parkinson. She was a relatively bright witch, if a tad bit clingy, his real problem with her not being her abundant need to touch him, but her annoying shrill of a voice. Between the two, voice wise, he would much rather listen to the Golden Trio's filthy mudblood prattle on about what ingredients best suited which drought and why for a magnitude of hours, than to listen to even five minutes of the gossip that Pansy felt she needed to share with him. "Pansy..."
"Who is this, Draco?" Kagome asked as a bobbed hair girl made her way closer to them.
He looked to see the curious expression on Kagome's face, her eyes taking on a rather dark and possessive look as she moved closer to him. Her hand saddling over his shoulder as she leaned closer to him. Not that he minded, he didn't, he still had trouble distinguishing if what had happened the night of the Death Eaters Raid was real or if he'd dreamed the whole affair up. Her hands running over his body, her lips on his neck, honestly, the fact that he was so young, and she more mature than he, it made him doubt the events truly taking place...but then...he wouldn't deny any of it should someone ask either. He hoped it was real...Merlin's Beard did he. "Her name is Pansy Parkinson, she's a fellow Slytherin, also in my year."
Kagome laid her head on his shoulder, paid to be smaller than your average seventeen year old. She looked no older than Draco, only, her eyes spoke of her experience.
"Draco, who is this slag?"
"My name is Kagome, I've been staying with the Malfoy's for two months now...Narcissa sent us out to buy my supplies, so Draco kindly decided to escort me...were you with anyone? Draco was going to help me with my dress robes, but you're..." Kagome paused and smiled twistedly at the girl, "...more than welcome to join us."
"...no, I don't think so. I've already got my robes anyways." She turned her harsh glare from Kagome and left the two to watch her leave. Her anger clear on her features as she saw the far more attractive Kagome touch her Draco.
"I shouldn't say this, but thank you."
"Hm?" Kagome let go of him and walked towards Madam Malkin's, Draco blindly following her as he was too lost in what had just taken place to notice where he was going.
"Pansy doesn't understand what no means, and so, for the least two or three years, she's been under the influence that she and I are a couple."
Kagome laughed, "Then truly, I shouldn't intervene."
Draco shook his head, "no, no! Intervene, by all means, intervene." He sighed when she was pulled onto a high rise and Malkin started to take her measurements. They had wound up in the very place he'd said they wouldn't shop...and he hadn't even noticed when they'd walked in. Far too late to leave now, he leaned against the wall and watched her get her robes. "Tomorrow we will be on our way to Hogwarts, are you excited any?" He asked, though only mildly curious.
"...should I be?"
He shrugged, "something always happens, I can't complain about a lack of excitement, seeing how Potter makes certain that there's never a dull moment."
Laughing, Kagome looked at the now irritated Draco and smiled lightly, her eyes giving off the sweet and kind innocence he'd been periodically privileged to. "Then it should be exciting this year too, I look forward to it. Perhaps this year you and I can find some time to set aside specifically for Potter?"
He smirked at that, Malkin gave the two a look of uncertainty, but said nothing. She didn't know what they were going on about, nor did she care to know. The girl was unknown to her, and she hated to deal with any drama that came by way of the Malfoy name. So she turned her listening ears off and just continued with her sewing.

Me: Here is chapter three, I'm actually having a hard time doing much of anything, writing or otherwise. I hate that Alan Rickman passed away, besides being our Potions Professor, her was also an amazing actor in his own right, before and after Harry Potter, and to know that he's gone…along with three other well-known names within the timespan of two weeks…2016 is already on a mind-numbing roll. So, as my tribute to Severus, I'm going to try and finish up my HP and HP/IY fics. Please bear with me. I'll do my best, but I also work too.
Tomorrow, I will be getting off at 3…oh, sorry, today I will be getting off at 3. I clearly haven't been watching the time, so I will retire to bed. And upon my arrival home, I will retire to my room and write. Thank you all, and look forward to some long since updated stories getting new chapters. The Godmother has already been uploaded, so enjoy these chapters and I'll write again soon.
