Chapter 3: Hurricane
Bakura
Finally, it's time to depart as dawn rises far off on the horizon. The festivities will begin in a few hours. The last thing I want to do is be late for this occasion. Of course I hold the utmost score for that bastard even though he's not the true individual that orchestrated the massacre. Still, he's responsible for being the heir to the throne that he'll claim in a matter of hours more or less. They'll be expecting me it seems from what Necrofear's reports tell me. Good, I'm glad they're not foolish to ignore my presence.
What I long for is my people to rest. Their spirits are still tethered to this plain. How else can I put them at ease than by doing what I can to show Yami how it feels to lose everything and everyone he holds dear? It's almost laughable at how much he has to lose while I have nothing. He's been able to grow up in the lap of luxury while I have had to struggle to survive to make it to the next day. There's no doubt in my mind that he doesn't give a shit about those that live outside of the palace walls. Once a royal brat means he'll always be a royal pain in the ass. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but can anyone truly blame me for being so?
Finishing the preparations, Diabound has gone into her full beast form for me to sit on her back. Clambering on, I sit there as she begins to bound off to our destination. There's a time limit in place although I know she'll get us there without fault. Necrofear is in their full form as well, but this has them being in my clutches to remain secure. They're kind of like those what I recall some people calling Russian nesting dolls. But I always view them as the voodoo kind than that considering they're more life-like. They're also not made out of wood. In a matter of hours we're at last within reach of the outer walls of the palace. Peering inside, I can tell the party is about to begin. Now, it's time to cause some chaos it seems. Smirking in delight, I find this to be only part of the fun to commence. Getting off of Diabound's back, she transfers back to her humanoid form to move beside me protectively of course. Her job along with Necrofear's is to protect me after all. Observing the area, I figure out the best place to make our grand entrance. It's when Yami is being given the crown and throne that I step in. The entire area is brought to an abrupt hush.
"What? Have you really thought I might miss out on this?" I laugh dryly. "Don't make me out to be a fool when I clearly am not. Awww, but you don't look happy to see me. That's such a shame…."
"What do you want?" Demands Yami, narrowing his gaze ever so slightly at me, waving off the guard to put off their attack and fences for him towards me until he can ascertain if I'm truly a threat.
"Aren't my intentions clear enough?" I scoff, finding this a little offensive how he seems to be feigning ignorance unless he truly doesn't know.
"Pharaoh, what are your orders?" Asks the priest by his side, knowing all too well that he'll be a problem to sort out if he gets in my way.
Smirking, I allow the power of my shade to disperse out. Panic resounds amongst the people in this makeshift gathering. Though the council members remain calm, knowing they have their duties to see to in the protection of the Pharaoh himself. Really? Is that suppose to scare me? Huh, well, this is going to be fun. All I need to do is get close enough to put the rest of my plan into action. That isn't going to be much of a troublesome thing considering who I'm up against. So, this won't be a waste of my time at all.

Yami
No, I'm not playing dumb with him. I'm aware of what he's after, but I need to get under his skin somehow. Does he really expect me to lie down like some common slave? Uh, no, like hell am I doing that of all things. Plus, he might be powerful, but so am I. Our waring sides will be put to the test of who will be able to capture the other. Although I am taking into account what consequences this might bring. If he manages to take me down then the rest of these lands will be put at risk of corruption. It's not something I can allow to come to pass. The puzzle lends me its power from whatever place it draws it from, but Bakura also has an item as well from what I can catch sight of. I don't know if Kuriboh alone can help me with this. Instead of the winged creature coming to my aid is my three knights consisting of a Jack, King, and Queen. Indeed the ones I have in my arsenal are of the card variety than anything what might appear normal. It's just how I like it.
"Defend our lands for the sake of justice," I intone before the three go forth into battle with the nightmarish creatures that Bakura has at his disposal.
"Pharaoh, oh so mighty, how he can fall with being put into checkmate," taunts the amber-eyed thief, eyeing me expectantly as if he knows every single move I might make against him. "Your toys won't last long against my beasts. Well, they might win, but it all depends on you. Do you want to see your kingdom fall by your pathetic will to win against me or will you see reason in admitting defeat?"
"What are you getting at?" I warily ask him, uncertain if I really want to encourage him to continue on whatever train of thought he's spinning at me.
"You can spare countless innocent lives if you agree to stand down to me," replies Bakura calmly as if we're having a conversation instead of him threatening me. "Or you can allow the destruction of your home come to pass if our skirmish doesn't end soon….. What will your choice be, Yami?"
Blinking a few times, I gauge his facial expression to see if he's bluffing or not. It seems that he's really serious about this. How does he even know my name? Then again, I guess it's kind of common knowledge. Of course I don't want innocent lives to be lost when this is between the two of us. We don't need others getting in the way. Doesn't he realize what has been done to him in the past has been because of my father? None of it is my fault. Why does he need to keep up this old grudge? Continuing to stare at him, I weigh my options before coming to a decision. Hopefully this isn't something I'm going to soon regret.
"Retreat," I say reluctantly to my forces, calling them back to stop the fighting. "I'll yield."
"Well, well, it seems you're seeing reason," smirks Bakura, causing a shudder to course down my spine. "Dawn of a new era will surely come…. But until then I know that you and I will become close within your imprisonment to me."
Griamcing, I don't like the sound of this. Nope, not one bit at all. Shadows dance across my vision, trying to fight against it though I can't seem to. Dizziness sweeps over me without warning, losing my footing to fall into a heap. It's not long after that unconsciousness claims me, not knowing where I might be when I wake up later. There are voices around me, sounding as if they're in some type of argument. All of it sweeps away as dreams await for me. What I dread is what Bakura plans for me.
Can I face my people ever again after such a disgrace? But I've done this to protect everyone even at such a great cost of myself.

Bakura
One of my beasts take the fallen Pharaoh to my quarters. The lands will remain in disarray until I begin the next steps. Having Yami in my clutches just feels too sweet of a victory. Oh, how I thrive off of how easy it has been to manipulate him. Though I haven't given him any falsehoods about what I can do if he doesn't comply. Does he really want all of those fools to die because of his mistakes? Well, at least I can tell he's nothing like his father. Reappearing in my room, I notice that the chains are already in place on him. Good, good, just like I've always been wanting to do. One phase vanishes to go into the next of my plans, knowing that when he wakes is when I'll see how he's like when confronting me in a more intimate proximity. First, before anything else can come to pass, I need to get into contact with my master. He'll be wanting to know how things have gone down.
Master, I hiss out between the mental link after I set it up, feeling the vibrations resound from it to signify there's no fault in the system.
Oh, you wish to speak to me, darling? I've been watching you as I always have, purrs the voice of Zorc in response. It pleases me to see how well you've done.
Thank you, I grin in appreciation of the praise given. I plan to enact the next part when he wakes. He fell right into my trap hook, line, and sinker. The lands will soon face the chaos we want to inflict it in.
Good, you've done better than anyone else can, murmurs the demon, perking up at hearing this. It'll be two moons before I can leave my domain to visit yours. When that happens will be the moment discord can begin to spin its webs.
Indeed. Anything else that I can do for you in the meantime? I want to know, having a devout loyalty to him obviously for reasons of my own.
Set up a place for me when I arrive. That's all I require of you. Do as you please with your pet, but I assume you'll try making him more than that, chuckles Zorc before disconnecting the link between us, leaving me in silence with the slumbering Yami.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, I contemplate all that has come to pass so far. This hasn't been too easy. No, it's been a troublesome road to traverse, but at least it's finally come to this point at last. It'll most likely take a day or two until he'll wake up with how heavily I put on the spell to sedate him. His light burns brighter than I might expect. Still, it yearns the hunger to rise, knowing one day given enough time I'll be able to claim him. What? I need a soul to fester with hatred and other intense emotions before I can devour it. That's one of the multiple things Zorc has taught me throughout the years. Hopefully I can finally become a full demon sooner rather than later, but I know that I have to pass this test first. Maybe when he comes in two months time that I'll be able to be given such permission. It's a lot of hope to put onto something although I know it's all I can do for now. Staying there, I continue to mull over things before coming to the choice I'm making here and now.
Diabound will alert me when Yami wakes up. Until then, I have my own duties to see to. Someone has given me information of someone looking like me being spotted in one of the villages a few leagues away. I wonder…..did someone else survive that fateful day?
Oks, that's the end of chappie three. I could've made it longer, but oh well. I thought this is a good stopping place anyway. I hope y'all are enjoying it so far. This is something new/different for me to work on. So, hopefully it's going well.
The next chappie will be out shortly whenever I have it finished being written up. Hopefully that won't be too long of a wait for it though. Until then, please remember to review, darlings!
