Avett woke up to find herself in a cell in the dark again and she was not being holding her anger in. She sent off a lot of energy blasts which she could not control and as her anger grew something incredible happened. She opened her mouth to yell and instead of the shout coming out normal she let out a sonic blast that cracked the glass she as so stunned that she just stood there not saying a word. She stared at the crack for days her concentration being broken when Steve Rogers walked in and cleared his throat to let and he said in her know he was there. She stood up and walked over to look him in the eyes and he gazed back steady and even finally he spoke "I want you to tell me about your past and why it bothers you so much." Avett sighed and said "It is to painful for me to explain but I can show you I will take you into my memories. Are you ready?" Steve nods and Avett puts her palm on the cool glass Steve followed and they were taken into Avett's scarred life and her reality.
It started in her house she was sitting on her mothers lap as she taught Avett how to read her mother was smiling and pointing out the words."The dog likes to play, but no one will play with the dog." Avett turned her deep blue eyes on her mother "Like me mom?" her mom laughs and says "Not at all like you my precious Sky." as her mom finished saying that there was a banging on there apartment door and it crashed in revealing men in big black suits. Avett felt Steve tense and placed her hand on his arm she looked at him and said "Watch." So Steve did he watched as one of the men raised there gun and he watched as Avett's mom push her out of the way and he watched as the mans gun fired planting a bullet in Avett's mom's heart and he watched as Avett was dragged away as her mom said,as her dying words, "Stay strong Skyler I will always love you." with that the memory faded and Steve was standing in Struckers old castle where the twins were kept he saw Avett in a plain cold cell he watched as Barren Von Strucker walked up to Avett he sneered at he and said "Skyler Maya Strucker. You are one of my own blood you are smart that is for sure but you are not smart enough so we will enhance you. I hereby disown you you will now be known as Avett Velo stick to that name and you will be safe. I also want you to know that you are not the only special person I have created." With that he stepped away and Steve was moved forward to the window and he looked in he saw a young girl with blood streaking down her face and her eyes were a blue that was hard to tell what shade it was. At one point they were electric blue then deep blue then yellow then green and it was hard for Steve to look away and then Avett spoke which kind of startled him "This was not even the worst part it was when my father injected me with a serum and tore my life away. I saw the Maximoff twins being brought in and tried to warn them after all they are older than me and I did not want them to be like me. But yet here we are a year later, when they were introduced" Steve looked at her and realized that they were back at Avengers tower and that Avett had moved to the far side of her cell. She continued in a soft voice "My name before the experiment was Skyler Maya Strucker. I was born in Sokovia but my mother was born in China but way deep down I am american that is where my grandparents are from my mom met my father before he conducted his crazy experiments. But she did not know about his antics when she found out she left. I lived in a dysfunctional family it was all I could do not to hurt my mom because I was angry. I tried to escape from my fathers prison but he caught me and beat me severely I could barley stay conscious when he did. And from that past you can see why I ran and as for how the school burned down that was due to my powers I never trust anyone especially people who lock me up." Steve nodded and said "I know what it feels to lose everything but know this Skyler, I will help you through this and if it is all right with you I would like to be the father you never had. We want to be the family you've never had we want to be your passion. We want to know you." He indicated the door behind him and out stepped the Avengers whole and present like a large family. Wanda stepped forward and said "We know what it is like to live in dysfunctional family's me and Pietro for example have not had a family since we were 10." She gave a smile and a silver blur ran over to hit the release button. Skyler walked over to the edge of the cell stepped over it and said "I would really like that. Thank you avengers."
