So, Calypso and Percy's reunion went well. Wow, this is my second chapter today. I am pleased with myself, haha…

Oh, and DINGDINGDINGDING! WE HAVE A WINNER! . correctly answered, "Hufflepuffs are particularly good finders!" May he enjoy his virtual Dark Chocolate Death ice cream.

Here's your buddy Jack! Whoohoo!

I have to say, I felt quite guilty about the whole missing-Percy's-dramatic-kidnapping thing, especially during the Counselor's Meeting, when that little awesome chick had to tell the story since Annabeth couldn't stop crying.

It was a much quieter meeting than usual. I was there instead of the Stoll brothers (Chiron figured out having them as counselors was a really, really bad idea). Around the table were also Annabeth, Kim from the Thanatos cabin, the cold and quiet Ian Rider from the Khione cabin, KP from the Aura cabin, little Macy (even though I'm the counselor), and an assortment of other campers.

I have to say, it was an unusually quiet meeting, despite Annabeth's constant sniffles. Usually Clarisse would make someone mad, challenge them to the death, and then have to be escorted out of the room by Chiron. None of that was happening though- perhaps she was too depressed that her favorite punching bag had been kidnapped.

Suddenly, Annabeth's crying stopped and she cleared her throat. Wiping tears from her eyes, she said, "So how did Percy know Calypso?"

We all nodded in agreement. None of us could figure out why she had come in the first place.

Chiron looked grave. "Remember those two weeks before the Battle of the Labyrinth? When Percy was missing and we presumed him dead?"

Annabeth whimpered and nodded.

"He was with Calypso."

Her eyes widened, and then narrowed. "So he was making goo-goo eyes at her the whole time-"

"No," Chiron interrupted politely. "As you can remember, he was almost killed at Mt. Saint Helens. Somehow, he would up on her island prison, Ogygia. She nursed him back to health and they fell in love."

Annabeth looked like she wanted to barf and kick somebody in the face and the same time.

"But once he was healthy, he knew he could not stay, so he left." Annabeth seemed to calm down at this.

"How do you know this?" Kim asked in her monotone voice. Itmade her sound bored and unimpressed all the time.

"Hephaestus," he said simply, and then continued with his story. "It seems that Calypso could not get over Percy as she did with her other stranded lovers, and instead wallowed on his memory. It turned her bitter and vengeful. It caused quite an obsession."

"So she kidnapped Percy?" Macy asked.

"Yes. When you have seen as much life as I have, you will not underestimate the power of obsessive love…" Chiron trailed off, as if remember old times.

"So is she just really sick or really evil?" Kim asked dully.

"I'm going with evil," I said. Ian Rider nodded in agreement.

"So how do we kick her assssphalt-" (Kim saw little Macy and changed her word of choice) "-and get Percy back?"

Chiron sighed. "I'm afraid it's not as easy as it sounds."

"Why is it never simple with him?" Annabeth mumbled under her breath.

Chiron ignored the comment and plowed on. "Calypso is a much more powerful being than you all think she is. Her father was the titan Atlas, and her mother was a minor goddess. Therefore, she is immortal and may have powers the gods do not. I would say our best bet is to imprison her once again on the Island of Ogygia."

"Wait, how do you spell that?" I asked and blushed. "Sorry, off topic. How can we imprison her again?"

"Well, for one, you would need to defeat her in battle, which is no easy feat. Like I said, she is extremely powerful and most likely not willing to go down that easily. Once you have done that, you would need to recite a spell."

"That doesn't sound too bad," Macy said.

"No, but there's a catch."

We all groaned. There was no simple way to do anything when you were a demigod.

"The spell cannot be spoken by anyone. It must be spoken to her by a lover."

There was a silence. By a lover? Why would anyone want to love that sea witch? Wait, I thought, maybe Percy would be able to say it! They loved each other, right?

KP cleared her throat to talk. We all stared. KP, aka Kasper Jayden Port, usually didn't talk. Most people didn't mind, because most people didn't like her. After all, she was in Luke and Kronos's army.

See, after their defeat, the army of demigods had no leader and no idea what to do. Chiron mercifully welcomed them into the camp with open arms, though most of them strayed off to do their own thing. Some, however joined the camp, but no one trusted those kids very much. KP is one of them.

She seemed to be thinking the same thing because she asked, "Sir, would Percy be able to speak the spell?"

Chiron looked sadly at her. "I'm afraid not. If you do manage to defeat her and Percy helps, I do not think that she will love Percy anymore, and I am positive he definitely does not love her anymore, either."

"Then who?" Ian blurted.

Chiron looked at Ian with interest. Ian met his eyes. Something was bothering me about him. Was he hiding something?

"Well, I'm guessing that we will find them along the way," Annabeth said. Chiron and Ian broke eye contact to look at her. "That's usually how quests work right?"

Chiron nodded. "Yes, it seems that way. You will most likely find what you need as you go."

"So we are going on a quest then?" I asked excitedly. I've never been on a quest before. I know they were dangerous and people died, but I've always wanted to go on one. As I looked around the table, I saw that many people shared my feelings. Annabeth nodded seriously, and Ian's silvery-black eyes shone with determination. Even Macy wanted to go, her cheeks red with excitement. There were some people shaking their heads at her (cough cough, Clarisse), thinking she was too young to go on a quest. But then again, I thought, Percy and Annabeth were only twelve when they went on their first quest. And I've seen Macy beat the crap out of Annabeth in the arena.

"Yes, there will be a quest. I think it seems fitting for Annabeth here to lead it." Chiron said, nodding at Annabeth. She smiled dangerously, as though already planning her revenge on Calypso.

"Thank you Chiron. Should I call Rachel?" she said, meaning our Oracle, who was currently in art school in New York.

"Yes, that would be wise."

Annabeth got out of her seat to use the phone in the other room. Using phones was a really bad idea, because they had a tendency to send out a flare to monsters saying, Come eat me, I taste particularly gooey today, but there was really no other way to get ahold of Rachel other than randomly showing up. Randomly showing up has a tendency to cause accidents, usually involving a large ornate vase being broken on top of a demigod's head.

"Meeting dismissed," Chiron announced.

How did you like that chapter? Do you think Calypso is just really sick or really evil? Did you catch the Harry Potter quote? Who is Calypso's mystery lover? What is Ian hiding?
