I wake up in the middle of the night, to a tapping on the window beside my bed. I pull back one of the curtains hanging from my four post bed and open the window, to reveal an owl, much like the one Lily had when we were on the Hogwarts Express. Wait that is Lily's owl!

I untie the string on the owl's ankle and close the window when it flies away. I unroll the parchment and read the words written on it.

'WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? I WIAH I WERE IN GRYFFINDOR, BUT NEVERMIND THAT, I WONT BE ABLE TO SEE YOU AT ALL!
-LILY'

I pull out one of my drawers, which I had stocked with my belongings. I grab a piece of parchment, a quill, and a bottle of ink. I've got an idea, but it's risky.

'I THINK THAT THERE IS A WAY TO SEE EACH OTHER, BUT WE CANNOT BE SEEN, IF WE DO, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WILL HAPPEN BUT IT WONT BE GOOD.
-ROSE'

I tie the parchment to my owl, Felix, whom I had awoken, earning two or three scratches on my arms for it, and open the window. Felix flies out and I stare out the window, watching him fly to Lily until he is nothing but a white dot.

I wait seven minutes, and Felix hasn't returned. I pace in front of the open window. The pale moonlight lights the room enough to for me see a tall, thin girl step out of her bed. She walks towards me, with extreme bed head, rubbing her eyes. "What the bloody hell are you doing? Do you even know what time it is?" She says.

"Um, sorry, I just woke up from a terrible nightmare, and I plan on going back to sleep when I'm sure that I won't have the dream again, because you won't want me to wake you up with my screams," I lie smoothly. Of course, Felix chooses to fly in my window at THAT moment. "Bloody owl, I've been waiting for you since yesterday!" I whisper-yell. "By the way I don't know your name."

"It's- it's Caitlin, and you- are?" She says in between yawns.

"Rose Weasley," I say, and with that she walks back to her bed and I close the window. I shut my curtains and whisper 'lumos', with the letter in one hand and my wand in the other.

'WHAT IS IT? SORRY FOR THE WAIT, THE HEAD GIRL JUST CAME IN, SAYING SHE HEARD FOOTSTEPS, I CONVINCED HER I WAS UP BECAUSE OF A BAD DREAM.'

I reach out of my curtains to get another piece of parchment from the already open drawer and reuse my ink and quill.

'HA, THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME, BUT IT WAS JUST SOME GIRL NAMED CAITLIN, WHO WOKE UP BECAUSE OF THE MOONLIGHT FROM MY WINDOW. MEET ME TOMORROW IN THE GREAT HALL, I WILL TELL YOU THEN, ITS TOO RISKY TO HAVE ON PARCHMENT.'

I reply and send Felix back out the window, and close the window immediately close it, so no one else wakes up. Five minutes go by and Felix taps on my window, with no parchment.

I let him in, and close my drawer, put out the light on my wand. I crawl back into bed and close the curtains.

I fall back to sleep, safe in the comfort and warmth of my covers.

The next morning, the bells of the Grandfather clock, jinxed to wake us up at seven, and put on my Gryffindor robes. I quickly do my makeup and hair by magic and rush to the Great Hall. I see Lily standing by the doors, looking this way and that, for me.

"Alright, what's your plan?" She whispers when I stand next to her. She's in Slytherin robes, and it, I have to say, suits her, green does.

"There's an abandoned classroom on the third floor, two corridors down from the library. It's on the right, it's classroom 189. The only way to get there without anyone noticing, is to go at night, but obviously, that's against the rules, so you'll need this," I slip the invisibility cloak from under my robes into her hands, and walk away like nothing happened. "Meet me at 12 tonight." I whisper as I walk away.

I sit down at the Gryffindor table and talk with Dean about spells and things. I never see if Lily comes in or not.

I go to Potions Class, my first class of the day. I pay attention and take notes on everything the teacher says.

"Can anyone tell me how to make a Polyjuice Potion?" Professor Hood asks, to review what we know.

I raise my hand immediately, I know how to make most potions third years don't know how to make (James, for instance, cannot make a Polyjuice potion for the life of him.)

I, of course, don't get called, Professor Hood knows that I know, so he never usually picks me. But my hand is always up.

Tranfiguration is next, Professor Greene, however, does like to choose me for answers, because he knows I will get the answers right.

"Right again, Miss Weasley, twenty points to Gryffindor!" He shouts excitedly. The Slytherins in the room groan. Scorpius is one of them.

When lunch comes around I don't see Lily, she must be in the library or something.

After lunch is my free period, so I walk to the library to study and finish some homework.

'The Fission spell is a jinx that works to split someone's feelings into two, causing them to constantly bicker over every decision. The incation is zweiiseite, and it comes from German descent, meaning "two sided" or "double side."' I write on, until I'm finished with my two parchment essay on the Fission Spell.

I decide to spend the rest of the time reading. So I search the library for a good book, and settle back into my seat with 'Healing and Mending; A Guide For Helpful Witches and Wizards.'

Halfway through the book, a voice in front of me says, "I never thought you the nurse type, Rose."

I look up and see Caitlin, the girl from last night, standing with two books under her arm. "Well you don't really know me all too well, so I wouldn't expect you to."

"Well tell me about yourself, then," she says, pointing the seat next to me, as if to ask for permission to sit there. I nod and begin to explain myself to her.

"I'm sorry to pour my life's story out and run, but my free period is up," I say, gathering my books, homework and supplies that were scattered on the table. She smiles and helps me.

"Meet me in the common room tonight after dinner, okay?" She says, helping me check out the books I had pulled from the shelf.

At dinner, I still don't see Lily at the Slytherin table, but I sit down and begin eating anyways. I'm always amazed at how the pumpkin juice refills itself.

I rush back to the common room and find Caitlin waiting for me on the red couch.

We talk, I help her with her homework and she decides to go to bed. It's 10 o clock, I still have two hours until I meet up with Lily. I pick up where I left off in my Healing and Mending book, finishing it easily. I check the clock and it's 10:50.

"Still up, Rose?" Calls a voice from behind me. Dean stands behind a homework table, yawning.

"You won't tell anyone?" I ask walking over to him. He shakes his head no. "I'm going to go meet Lily in 189." I whisper, pulling out my second invisibility cloak from under my robes. He nods, with a smile and walks up to his dormitory.

Finally, after a lot of waiting, it's 11:40. I pull the cloak over my head and walk out of the common room, and out from behind the painting that acts as our door.

I tiptoe down the changing stair and to the library, then follow the two corridors to the abandoned classroom. I see a shimmer of blonde hair. Who else is here?

I creep around on tiptoes to see who I had seen, but the only thing I see is an invisibility cloak on the ground. It is now 11:57 and I think Lily may have ditched, until I hear, "Roooossseee?" In a hushed voice.

I remove my cloak and walk around. "Liiilllllyyy?"

"Rose!" I see a young blonde girl run at me. I raise an eyebrow. This cannot be Lily, she has red hair like me and Mum and Ginny. "I dyed it," she says noticing me eyeing her hair.

"Why?" I ask, hugging the small girl, and sitting down on the dusty floor.

"Well, Scorpius and his gang were telling me I didn't, didn't look like a S-Slytherin, s-so I d-dyed it with a spell that I read about in the l-library." She cries into my arms.

"Shhhh, Lils, you didn't need to do that," I whisper into her hair.

"Ye-yes I di-did. Dad," she cries more. Then she stands up, braces herself and wipes her eyes. "Dad told me that Albus was named after two brave men and one of them came from Slytherin. He said that I could choose what I wanted to be, but not everyone gets what they want. And-and that I have more determination than most, but that didn't exactly mean I WOULD be put in Slytherin. He said that I might be different than my parents and siblings, but..." She says.

"I don't judge the fact that you're a Slytherin, it's fine, I just don't want you to change yourself for a bully." I squeeze her.

Scorpius's POV

"-yourself for a bully," I hear a hushed voice. I just finished my detention in the library, and I got a tad lost trying to find my way back to the common room.

"Who's there?" I ask loudly. "Lumos!" My wand lights up and I look around. The only room I'm next to, 189, the old Room Of Eder (long story short, this room used to belong to Professor Eder, a Ravenclaw woman, I have no clue what she taught, but she died before my parents even were born. It hasn't been used since she died.) is lit up slightly from my wand and I see a flash of red and blonde hair, so I walk inside, knowing the ghosts don't roam abandoned rooms.

"Who's there?" I ask once again, even though I know no one will answer.

I walk around the room, looking behind every object. "Hm, what's this?" I see what appears to be a cloak on the dusty floor. I look around a bit more and leave the room. No one is here, it's just late and my eyes are playing tricks on me. With the folded cloak under my arm, I continue trying to return to the Slytherin common room.

"I'm a second year, why can't I remember how to get around this damned castle?" I whisper to myself.
