So I got the inspiration for this little one while I was talking with twin about the top three pairings (based on number of stories) for Tales of Symphonia on Archive of our Own (not personally familiar with the site).
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Tales of Symphonia.

The man that led Anna through the forest was really something else. Her life had been even more of a roller coaster since they'd secretly met at the Asgard Ranch and he broke her out.
She couldn't deny the fact that he was charming. Who knew her knight in shining armor would be such a handsome man? They had been on the run together for almost a year now, and it still gave her butterflies when he got close and spoke softly to her.
Anna knew the feeling she had for Kratos, and she knew that he knew, just like she knew of his feelings for her. They were kind of on the borderline of confession, where they kind of had confessed without ever directly saying it. It drove Anna crazy. She had tried several times to get things rolling, but when the time actually came, she couldn't do it.
She finally gathered the courage to stop walking. "Kratos." She called. He immediately stopped and turned around, quickly closing the distance between the two of them. The proximity he assumed was way beyond the bounds of 'just friends'; he was without a doubt in that bubble of personal space reserved for 'more than friends'.
"Yes, Anna?" He asked, leaning towards her. His eyes held a sense of intimacy as they locked with hers. Anna swallowed the lump in her throat, ignoring the butterflies.
"Kratos, I like you. A lot." She blurted out. Kratos' eyes widened slightly as she finally vocalized her feelings. He moved just a little closer to her. "Like, I'm in love with you, and I can't stand it not being out there anymore." Anna's face was red, but she made the move to get just a little closer this time, looking up into the face of her beloved. "And I know you feel the same way about me."
Though taken aback by her sudden boldness, Kratos smiled back at the passion she displayed. "I love you, Anna." Kratos confessed to her. Spurred on by the success of it, the brunette continued.
"And I don't know about you, but I wanna get married. I wanna be your wife." Though Kratos' smile didn't fade, his face did fall a little. "And I know what you're thinking. If we go to a church to get married and make it official, we're dead. That's too long to be in such a public place without getting caught by the Desians. So we'll just make do with something less official and call it good enough." Anna paused to think as she waited for Kratos to respond.
"I would love to be your husband. More than anything." Kratos whispered. Anna held her hand up.
"So I'll take you as my husband, and you'll take me as your wife. Pinky promise?" Kratos' smile spread further as he laced his pinky with Anna's. Anna pulled him down, launching herself up to meet his lips with her own at long last. The warm, soft kiss was everything she had wanted for so long and much, much more.
