It has been almost 2500 years since Hellé was found. She did not know truly who she was, Lord Elrond had decided that it would be best if she were told when she became physically mature. It was almost time, but over the years life had gone on normally for everyone. Often forgetting where she had come from, her 'parents' saw her as just a normal elleth, so it was not on their mind that soon they would have to reveal to her the truth.

Hellé was a beautiful elleth, she has long silver hair, which would shine like starlight no matter the hour of the day. Her features were fair and soft and were complimented by her strong dark eyebrows. Her eyebrows frames and brought out her wonderful midnight blue eyes. Wearing often dark blues and silvers to compliment her eyes. Hellé was wearing a casual ivory dress with dark blue trimming and embroideries of stars on the skirt, she was in one of the smaller halls of Rivendell, it was the evening and there was music and dancing. With her friends, she would dance for hours on end, laughing and socializing with other elves and just having a grand time.

It was dark out side now, and Hellé decided she wanted to bathe, so with one of her closest friends, Clorwen, they headed of to the baths.

The baths were located in a private patch of woodland, ellons and elleths would bathe separately of course, but as friends, Hellé and Clorwen would often bathe together.

Finding an empty bathing pool, they both undressed and got in as quick as possible to cool down. Gossiping and joking they relaxed in the cool water. They prefered to bathe in cool water, fresh from the springs, as it gave them a sense of being closer with nature. Maybe bathing in a warm pool if it were a cooler night.

"I have noticed a lot more attention from the ellyns since my maturity" Clorwen giggled

"Not like you didn't have any before" Hellé laughed.

Clorwen was a beautiful elf, unlike most she had waves in her hair, which strangely enchanted everyone who looked at her. With a pretty face, grey eyes, wavy blonde hair down to her bottom and a figure of a goddess Hellé often envied her.

"No, but really" Clorwen said with a smile, "you will start to notice it soon too! I am pretty sure your body has bloomed since the last time we done this. Come to think of it, i believe you have matured yourself!"

Hellé thought about it, now that Clorwen has mentioned it, she could see that she was receiving a lot more looks from the ellons. And her clothes had been a bit tight lately. It made sense to her, she was of age for it and it was about time really, all of her friends were mature, its about time she was too.

"Wow I suppose you're right, I never-" she was cut off as suddenly there were four ellyns walking through the trees right towards them. They had forgotten to put up a barrier enchantment so no one would disturb or walk in on them!

Clorwen gave a little scream and covered her assets. The four ellons were shocked and turned around as soon as they saw Clorwen in the pool.

"We are terribly sorry my lady!" one of them said embarrassed

"We will find another bath, sorry my lady, no one will hear of this" said another, also very embarrassed

"We will put up an enchantment for you when we leave my lady" the first one said as they started to leave

"uh, of course, uh thank you, sorry uh" Clorwen stuttered.

Hellé was so embarrassed she could not speak nor move, she just sat there trying to calm down.

"They're gone" Clorwen sighed to herself, as she looked to get a reaction from Hellé, she saw that she was gone. Thinking she must have run out of the pool to hide behind a tree she called out for her.

"Hellé? They have gone"

Confused, Hellé waved at Clorwen as she was only sitting opposite her. "Er, hellooo"

From looking into the trees, Clorwen whipped her head around to where Hellé was sitting. There was nothing. But that is where she had heard her friend. She tried to look at where Hellé was sitting but under the water, to see if Hellé was playing a prank on her. But there was absolutely nothing there. She ducked her head under the water to clear her mind and make herself more aware. As she came back up Hellé found she was calmer now, but confused. She sat and watched Clorwen. What was Clorwen playing at?

"HEY!" Clorwen shouted and pointed at Hellé

Taken aback, Hellé replied a very confused "hey?"

"You.. where.. How?" Is all Clorwen could say before she took in a deep breath and said more calmly, "Where did you go? This is no time to play tricks Hellé! We were just walked in to by FOUR ellyns!"

"I do not know what you are talking about Clorwen! I have been sat here the whole time. I was frozen with shock when they walked in on us so I do not move or play tricks on you! You are the one being silly." Hellé was confused, both her and Clorwen were trying to work out what was going on.

"I promise you Hellé, you were not there when I looked for you! Oh, What is going on!"

Not being able to understand what had just gone on, they both decided that maybe it was time for them both to go home and think about what happened and talk about it later.

Hellé walked home quickly, she was a fast walker in general but when she wanted to be somewhere she would walk extra fast. It took her half the time it normally did for her to get home from the bathing area. Once home she went to grab a glass of water. She grabbed a cup and went the little spring in the garden. You would find these little springs all over Rivendell, with fresh water clean for drinking. Hellé found her mother out in the garden, sitting reading a book. Putting her book down, Nana invited her over to sit. Hellé got another glass and filled it with water and then went to sit with her mother, giving her the other glass of water.

"What have you been up to my dear, I have not seen you for a couple of days"

Hellé did not know where to begin.

"Well, I was just at the baths with Clorwen, we had been dancing, and we wanted to chat and relax" Hellé paused, "something happened at the baths though, Clorwen and I are very confused. We were talking about something.. I cant remember what now, but Clorwen and I had forgotten to put up an enchantment so four ellyns walked in on us!"

"Oh my. Are you alright?" nana asked with a slight concern

"Yes, nothing happened they were polite and I don't think they saw anything. But, what Clorwen and I are confused about is that she claims I disappeared when I was sitting in front of her the whole time. And she promises she is not teasing me. She tough I was playing a trick on her." Hellé was speaking to her mother as if to ask her for an explanation. But all her mother done was sit and stare at her glass of water.

"Nana? Were you listening?" asked Hellé curiously

"Yes, Yes darling I was, sorry." Nana looked Hellé up and down, noticing the changes in her body ,she gave a small gasp. "I think its time we see Lord Elrond"

"What for?", they did not often see Lord Elrond as he is a busy ellon, so this gave Hellé a slight concern. Starting to get nervous Hellé watched her mother get up and call for her husband. Hellé's father was in the study doing work. When he came down nana spoke to him quietly, so that Hellé could no here. As Hellé watched she saw her father look at her with wide eyes, and then back to nana, he nodded and then called for Hellé. "El, please come with us" he said with a slight serious tone.

Hellé did not know what to think or to say. She got up and followed her parents as they all walked in silence through Rivendell towards the grand building where Elrond took residence. Hellé looked at the building and started to feel quite intimidated. 'This day is getting stranger by the hour' she thought to herself.

They got to the front of the building, there were no doors to enter though, it was very open plan. And as her father spoke to one of Elronds staff Hellé and her mother sat down in what seemed like a waiting area/socializing room. They did not have to wait long before they called in to see Lord Elrond in his study. Standing to greet them, Lord Elrond was warm and welcoming, not what Hellé expected for some reason. They all stood. No one sat down, which was not unusual for elves as standing required almost no energy for them, but for some reason it made Hellé feel like a child again.

The room was silent before Lord Elrond broke it. "Hellé its is good to see you again, you are looking well. I can imagine you must be wondering why you are here. Well.." he paused, "We have kept something from you and it is time now that well told you the truth"

Hellé was all too confused now. What could possibly be going on? What had here parents and Lord Elrond of all people keep from her? Not knowing if she wanted to hear it or not, she simply nodded, implying for Lord Elrond to continue as she was too scared to speak.

"Two and a half thousand years ago you were given to us.. You, are what is known in the old tales as a el-winë. You were born to a different race as your parents"

At this Hellé looked at her parents. They standing side by side, holding each others hands looking sorrowful. They looked at her, her mother shook her head, "We are not your real parents my el" she quietly spoke. Frowning with confusion, Hellé just looked at who she though were her parents, and then to Lord Elrond and then back to, apparently, two strangers.

Lord Elrond continued, "You were born to parents who are of the race of man. They gave you to us, thinking that they could not raise you, an elf, suitably. And now that you are mature, you will not grow for another few hundred thousand years, and being an el-wineë, I believe you have a power. What, I am not sure." He stopped to let it all sink in. It was a lot of information for such young elleth to find out all at one time.

Hellé sat still. She was trying to work it all out. Thinking of the life she could have had or the life she has now that she could have never had. Then it came to her, she know what it was, what her power was and what actually happened in the bath with Clorwen.

"Invisibility" she said without realizing. She snapped back to reality, "Earlier on.. in the baths, I.. I became invisible".

"I see" Lord Elrond pondered, "Well we will have to train you on how to use your powers. So that you can use and control them in all situations. It will be hard however, since no one on this side of the sea has ever seen anything like this. I will keep a close eye on you Hellé, please come to me if you have any concerns or questions." he finished with a polite smile. "I will be in contact with you very soon"

Hellé understood that it was time to leave. She left the study and her carers followed. She needed some time alone. She asked her carers to be excused and went for a walk in one of the many gardens of Rivendell, she came across a small cherry blossom meadow, not far from the grand building, which to her surprise she had never seen before. The grass was covered in a beautiful snow of pink and white petals. She looked for a spot to sit and sat under one of the older cherry blossoms. Once she was seated her mind raced, there was so much to think about. What came to her mind first however, was that she had a power. The power to turn invisible. 'I wish I had this 700 years ago when the party from Mirkwood came for the summer' she joked to herself. She couldn't believe it though. Her friends will go berserk when they find out. Especially Clorwen! 'She will be particularly upset that she was the only one spotted in the bath' Hellé gave a little giggle as the thought of Clorwens face. Then a more serious thought came to her, she has parents of a different race. She couldn't help but think how different her life would have been if she were raised my men. She did not know much about them, but knew that they lived a short and simple life. 'Oh my gosh.. they are dead.. my biological parents are dead.' she was shocked at this thought. What would she have done if they had brought her up but she was only still a child when they died, what would have happened to a child elf in a world of men? Would she too be dead? And then she thought of who she knew as her parents. She decided they were always her parents. They cared and loved for her like any mother and father would for their child. She was their child. And nothing would change that. She knew that she would have to tell them this and to tell them how much she loved them.

Hellé sat in the meadow for 4 hours thinking about everything before deciding to leave to go home and see her parents. She wanted to sit with them and to talk with them and be normal with them, like any other family. It was dusk now, and with lots on her mind Hellé was not concentrating on what she was doing which is when she bumped into someone. Shocked and startled Hellé saw that she had walked into Lord Elrond, who was giving her a very strange look.

"Um, Hellé, I came out here to speak to you but, you are, you are invisible." he said with sure tone.

"Oh, I am? How did you know it was me?" She asked curiously

"Well, I can still see your clothes. You are not present in them but they are standing before me as if you were." Lord Elrond was intrigued by this.

"Well that's something. Not very helpful though" Hellé said disappointed. This comment made Lord Elrond laugh however, and then he stopped, and looked Hellé in the face.

"Hello again" he said with a smile "Good to see you"

The two had a little laugh. 'Wow, who knew Lord Elrond was such a humorous man' Hellé thought.

"I guess you can see me now. I would definitely like to learn how to control this my Lord. I can see it becoming quite inconvinient and a bit of a hassle at times " Hellé said still smiling

"Well that is why I came down to speak to you. I have sorted out some classes for you. You will be doing it with Lhathron, he studies the mind, so I think he will be the best teacher for you. Your classes will start at 11 every morning at your house. Is this okay with you?"

"Yes, that sounds perfect. Thank you very much my Lord" she bowed slightly to show her thanks.

"Your welcome Hellé, I wish you the best of luck. And Please, remember you can come to me if you have any concerns or questions" and with that Lord Elrond bowed politely and with a smile and turned to leave.
