I decided waiting for my death was pathetic. So I took the mattress and threw it out the window. I then with the most precision possible jumped out to land on the mattress. Against all odds I landed on the mattress and I kept on running through city 19.
I saw a APC a M577 apc the ones we used in my day. I gave a huge sigh of relief and thought I was in an antique store and I can find the keys and drive off. I was wrong out popped a man in camo and he dragged me into the vehicle. The man sat me down inside and then started driving away. When I sat down I realised how tired I was so I pretty much passed out a few minutes later.
I soon woke up in what looked like medical bay. I heard some people talking and then I saw a marine come up to me. "Adrian Shephard, Damn you haven't aged a day how do you do it where have you been all these years." The marine said while I kept silent "well whatever you sure are a sight for sore eyes now aren't you."
It was at that point I spoke "i'm confused what the hell is going on with all the guys with gas masks trying to kill me and why are we in AV-437" I asked in complete dismay and he responded "Those were the combine "civil protection" teams and we're in this bunker because the government told us to." That really didin't explain anything but I really didin't feel like coaxing for more information so I kept my mouth shut and he said "follow me to meet the general he'll get you up to speed"
