Sorry it has been so long since I wrote another chapter…..
So to make it up to you, here's the next chapter to Dragon Ball Z
/
A groan is heard from the room as the group of three saw the unknown saiyan girl awakening from here sleep. She opens her eyes and saw the three of them standing by her bed side.
She groaned in distraught as she wondered about her family, which has been vaporized by the heartless androids, "How long was I out?" she asked.
The group of three was silent as Bulma went to give her a glass of water, "You were out for three days. Your injuries are pretty serious so it's best to lie here and recover."
"Who are you guys?" the girl asked as Bulma tries to force her back in bed.
"My name is Bulma," she said. "This is my friend, Gohan, and my son Trunks, which you already meant."
The girl struggled herself out of the bed, holding tightly to the desk.
"WAIT, YOU'RE STILL HURT!" Bulma exclaimed.
Those words just echoed in her head as she struggled to get back on her feet. She pulled her body towards the edge of the bed as Trunks rushed by her side, "You have got to listen to my mother, Sunshine. You need to rest!"
"I have to get up! I don't want to stay in bed any longer!" she exclaimed furiously as she clutched onto Trunks' right shoulder for support. She stood there with her legs shaking, looking at Bulma with anger. Bulma stood there in silent as she was about to say something but quickly shut her mouth. Gohan, just a bystander in the conversation, stood there looking at her, searching through her feelings wondering what made her snap. There was a long silence from the room, Sunshine still staring at Bulma with her angry eyes and Gohan still staring at Sunshine as well. Finally, Gohan walked slowly over to Sunshine and put his hand on her shoulder as she turned to him.
"Sunshine," Gohan began, "I know you are upset and you have ever right to be. But right now, you have to regain your strength by staying bed."
Sunshine sighed, "You sound just like my Aunt Nana."
Suddenly tears began to flow down her checks like little streams of water as they fall down her chin creating a small waterfall. "I miss them so much," Sunshine cried softly looking down on the ground. "Aunt Nana, Uncle Jess, Charlie, …Mayda"
That name suddenly sparks Gohan and Bulma's eyes. "W-Wait, Mayda is…" Gohan said.
"She's my sister," Sunshine said still looking down at the ground. "My only sister that shares the same blood as me. We were young when our mom left us. Right after I was born, she went to her friend's house and asks them to take care of us and train us. She believes that we have the power to stop the androids if she can't. As we grew older, Mayda thought she can stop the androids this time. I was so young when it happened. Its hard to forget seeing your love ones die in front of you."
Gohan stood there paralyzed to the whole story. He remembered Mayda very well. She used to be Gohan's best friend when they are traveling to Planet Namek. Although she was a few years older than him, she still treats him like a little brother. "I can't believe she's gone," Gohan thought in disbelief, "No, she can't be gone. She can't!"
"But then," Bulma asked nervously, "What happened to your mother?"
Sunshine was silent as she looked up at Gohan with tears still flowing down her face. Bulma knew right away what happened to her for it was an obvious fate for anyone to dare challenge the androids. "Caroline…..." Bulma whispered to herself
"So much bloodshed," Gohan said furiously with his hands clutched into fits.
"Gohan," Trunks said.
Gohan knew something had to be done. First Krillin, then Piccolo and his father, and now Mayda, his best friend. All of his friends are gone in a blink of an eye. Not having a single time to say goodbye. He was determining to get rid of the androids once and for all and make them pay for what they did to make the Earth a wasteland where innocent lives have to suffer.
"Gohan?" Sunshine said as he looked up as she let go of Trunks' shoulder and walked slowly towards him with her wobbly legs. When approached to him, she reached into her pocket and hand him an orange envelop, "Before Mayda left to fight the androids, she told me to hang on to this for you, just in case she wouldn't returned."
Gohan took the envelop from her soft hands and opened it. In there was a small stuff panda toy, the same one she used when she was traveling to Namek, and a letter. He took the toy out and held it in his hands, smelling the bear that is covered in peaches and apples. "She always makes sure to put on her favorite perfume before she went to bed so that's why it still smells like peaches and apples," Sunshine said barely standing on her feet. Gohan put the bear on counter and took the letter out of the envelop. His eyes began to glow as he read the letter to himself.
"Dear Gohan,
I'm sorry I didn't get to see you often. How have you been? I'm good if that's what
you're wondering. I miss you all so much. You, Bulma, Master Roshi, Puar, Oolong,
Krillin, Piccolo, Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Chi Chi, Vegeta. We had some good times in
the past huh? I'm afraid it's my time to depart from this world. I just can't stand the
thought of world living in fear and darkness anymore. I know you will be upset and
won't let me go be I had to try. So, I guess this is goodbye for now my friend. Thank you
for everything. I'm sure by the time you get this message, you probably received it from
my sister, Sunshine. So please, take good care of her and train her. You, Bulma, and
Trunks are the only ones that are left for her and the last thing I need for her to be in is the same place as
me. So please do it for me and maybe one day the world will be a better place again. Tell
my sister that I love her so much and that me and mom will always watch over her.
Goodbye my brother and we shall see each other soon."
-From Mayda
P.S. I will let you keep my panda bear, just cause you want it so bad long ago remember?
Tears came down from Gohan's face as he set the letter down next to the bear. "Mayda," he whispered to himself, "thank you."
He wipes the tears off of his faces and turned towards Sunshine. "Your sister was a great friend," Gohan said, "and I will keep her promise that she made. We will defeat the androids no matter what!"
A smile came from Sunshine's face, "So, what she said was true. You really are like Goku."
Gohan smiled and took a bean out of a pouch and hand it to her, "Here eat this. It's a senzu bean. It will help you with your injuries and you'll feel better in no time."
She took the bean and plop it into her mouth. "But I thought you said there aren't anymore senzu beans on the planet!" Trunks exclaimed.
"I visited Korin a few weeks ago," Gohan said. "Apparently these are the last four senzu beans he can grow until next year."
"I see," Trunks said amused.
Sunshine began to chew the bean in her mouth until it was into little bits of pieces and swallowed it. She then felt her legs began to regain strength as well as her arms and the rest of her body. Eventually she was able to stand up and move again. She looked at her arms and legs, amazed the wonders of one bean can do to heal her. She laughed in excitement as she started to remove the bandages from her wounds and to her surprise, they were gone.
"Well we could have used that," Bulma said annoyingly. "By the way Sunshine."
She turned to towards her direction as she began to remove the last bandage off her arm, "Yes?"
"Did you know that you are a saiyan?" Bulma asked.
"Yes," Sunshine said confused, "My sister told me everything about our family history. From what race I am to our capabilities and disabilities, you name it. She even told me about the adventures about going to Namek with you and Gohan."
"I see," Bulma said, "Then I have a another question for you: If you know you are a saiyan and have powers, why didn't you try to fight them face to face three days ago.
"Yeah," Gohan and Trunks said simultaneously as everyone looked at her waiting for and answer.
"I-It's because," Sunshine said nervously, "I was afraid to end up like my sister. If I fight as a saiyan, they might notice and think I am a fighter."
Once again tears began to flow down her face, "The first time I tried to fight them was the day I saw my sister die. I was scared that what happened to her would happen to me. I would still train just for fun but not to save the world. I'm not worthy of saving world or be a warrior because my sister would always tell me that in order to become a true warrior you need to be brave enough to stand up for what's right and I can't. So there's your answer."
"That's not true," Trunks said as she turned around, "You can stand up to what's right. You can fight. You shot a bullet towards 18 and you didn't move. I find that the bravest thing ever."
Sunshine looked at him as she wiped the tears off of her face. "He's right," Gohan said. "What your sister said is true; You need to be brave enough to stand up for what's right but you also have to have the courage to face enemy no matter how bad the situation is and that's exactly what you did back there. You are brave; you just got to believe in yourself more."
Sunshine looked at Gohan and Trunks, amazed by the support they have given her. Every word they said strengthen her heart more. She nodded, "Your right. Thank you for telling me that. I finally feel like I can fight again. "
She turned towards Bulma, "I hate to say this but I have nowhere to go. Is it alright to stay here for awhile?"
"AWHILE?!" Bulma exclaimed, "My dear I'm not going let you out there by yourself! Not with those androids out there! You are more than welcome to live here at Capsule Corporation! This will be your new home from now on and I'm sure Trunks would appreciate some company here, do you son?" Bulma glanced over Sunshine's shoulder and gave her son the 'I still know you like her" stare. Trunks nodded slowly, "Y-Yeah. I do like some company here. It gets pretty lonely sometimes."
"Thank you so much," Sunshine said with glee, holding Bulma's hands. "I will be sure to much help around here."
"I'm sure you will, Sunny," Bulma said happily. "You don't mind calling you Sunny do you?"
"Actually no," Sunshine said a tad annoyed. "My Aunt and Uncle call me that sometimes."
"Then welcome to your new home, Sunny!" Bulma said hugging her.
"And don't forget training starts at dawn," Gohan said to her, crushed in Bulma's arms
"Right" Sunshine said as she was trying to grasp for air.
