mjg43: Thanks a lot for your help:)

Aisha: Thanks! I know you won't let me down, you have no idea how much I love all of you.

Jedi Kay-Kenobi: aaaww thaaaank you! I started to ship them just as I found out she existed :D

finalfantasydreams: Thaaaaaaaanks! I really really want it to be something that people love and I'm more than happy about your nice words and ideas :3

Legolasthesmexay: I am, I'm back I've got a hell of a lot of headcanons I just need to write them down. Thanks ^^

Mononoke-hime x sukai kurora: wha… okay that's creepy o.o so… I have been faster than you then? :D But thanks a lot for the review :3

Insertisernamehere: Yes, I thought so as well, the problem for me is just to have a nice and good idea, but thanks for the support^^

jessie rae baby: THAAAAANK YOOOOOUUU!

Aaaaalright. Let's start.

First of all: THAAAAAAAANK YOU ALL! I never thought anyone would even read this after I have taken so much time for this non chapter thingy. But then you all come and review and bring me so great ideas and all your lovely words… guys, I nearly cried at some of your ideas. I just find it all really amazing that you still haven't given up on me and that you want me to continue this although here are tons of more skilled writers and I'm sometimes just too stupid to say what I want to say. But still you keep up with me and that's really unbelievable.

phew… okay so

I have seen the desolation of smaug and it was so unbelievable great I really loved it. And just about every scene with Legolas and/or Tauriel gave me so many headcanons, that I finally seem to be able again to write.

So… This is really short I must say, it is more of a place holder and I just wanted to give you something because you all were so helpful. It's not really the best, but once I reach the time set during DoS, I can guarantee waaaaay more stuff, so please just keep up with me and oversee the rather bad chapters.

But anyways, thanks thanks thanks again for all your help, I hope you still kinda like it.

It has been a few days since Tauriel was found, Thranduil has sent out a lot of his guards out into the woods, but the elf's parents were never seen. Although a group has just recently found a few bones covered in spider webs in a nest of those nasty creatures not far away from the clearing Tauriel and Legolas were attacked. Thranduil did not have much hope to find her parents alive, but he wanted his thoughts to be confirmed and with these evidences his thoughts were confirmed.
He immediately told the young elf and she reacted surprisingly well. She probably already thought so herself.

Still it was a great loss for her but Legolas would not leave her side, he would hold her for hours if just to make her feel less alone. He would wander the many halls of his home with her or talk to her or just be with her.

Right now he was showing her the horses and she was amazed. She has never been this close to those great creatures before and she was excited. And a tiny bit nervous.

"Don't worry, they will not do you any harm" Legolas said again with a little chuckle as he walked over to a great, white steed. The horse nudged the young prince with its muzzle, making him sway slightly and laugh.

Legolas looked over, but his expression softened when he saw the slight fear in Tauriel's eyes.

"Come" he said quietly, reaching his hand out to her. She hesitated a moment, before placing her hand in his and stepping to his side. He placed his hand on top of hers and slowly placed hers on the steed's soft muzzle. The horse sniffled curiously on her face, but Tauriel stayed still, slowly running her hand over the horse's head.

"Hello dear" she whispered with a smile on her face.

"Do you want to ride a bit?" an approaching elf suddenly asked, pulling the two young elves back into reality. It was Amras, an elf of the king's guard, but mostly he was responsible for the steeds.

Tauriel looked up to him with excitement in her eyes.

"Really?"

"Yes, if you want to" the elf chuckled and earned eager nods from the two elflings. So Amras helped the two young elves up onto the bare back of the great horse, a smile on his face because of their excitement.

He then took the reins and led the steed towards the exit of the stable. Tauriel squealed in surprise as the horse started to move and so she wrapped her arms around Legolas' waist tightly, so she would not fall. The elf sitting in front of her laughed softly at her fear, but he let go of the mane with one hand and interlaced his fingers with hers reassuringly.

After a little moment they reached the doors of the stable. Amras made sure his blades were secured in their sheaths on his belt before leading the horse outside.

Tauriel was awed by the sight before her. Sure, her and Legolas often walked and played at the borders but from the back of a horse it looked like a whole new world to her. The trees seemed to be less dark, the sky appeared clearer and friendlier and the world seemed greater.

Amras smiled when he noticed the curious and awed expressions on the elflings fair, young faces.

He led the steed across the land, near their borders, for quite a long time, until they came to one of the training places. There was a small group of guards shooting their bows at a rapid speed, each arrow hitting their target with an accuracy only found in the archery skills of elves.

"Do you want me to show you how to shoot?" Legolas asked Tauriel, who was looking at the warriors in awe.
"Really?" she asked in excitement from behind him. "Yes!"

Legolas chuckled and asked Amras to help them down. He thanked the elder elf for the ride and then the two elflings took of towards the range.

"Merenwen!" Legolas called an auburn-haired she-elf. The guard lowered her bow when she heard the young prince call her. When she saw him a smile appeared on her fair face and she walked over to the elflings.

"Greetings my prince" she said, kneeling in front of him. "How may I help you?"

"Can we shoot?" he asked with a bright smile.

"Of course dear" she laughed and with the two trailing behind her she walked to where the bows where kept. The prince already owned a bow and Merenwen soon found a bow of appropriate size for Tauriel's height. She each gave a set of arrows but let elves go shoot on their own.

Legolas choose a remote target for the two of them and immediately shot one arrow to show Tauriel how she'd have to stand.

"See? And now you" he said with a smile and Tauriel tried to imitate his stance.
Before she let go of the arrow, Legolas corrected her form. He lifted her left arm a bit higher, corrected her grip on the bow just a tiny bit. He pulled her right arm back a little more so the bow was strung harder and corrected the stance of her feet.

"Alright, now let go" he said as he stepped back a bit. Tauriel took a deep breath and let her fingers loose the arrow. It did hit the target, but it was too far on the right.

But Tauriel smiled nonetheless, as did Legolas.

They spent the rest of the day shooting, until nightfall, when Tauriel hit the center of the target for the first time.
