I felt the surge of adrenaline pumping through my veins. Each ninja I took out brought me closer to the edge. Colors became blurs. My hands were stained crimson as I gripped the baton. I could have taken their swords…their boi staffs….but I didn't hesitate. I beat them with the same tool they had used on me time after time. Sweet justice…blissful revenge. It was all I could feel. It was all I wanted.
As I came to last part of the long twisting hallway, facing the door, I felt alive. Much more then I had in months. My breathing was coming out in low gasps and I inhaled swiftly quieting it. This had to be it. Leo had to be here. I took a few steps back and barreled in the door. Then again, and again, and again. It shock with the force and small stream lined cracks began to show.
I growled and the door didn't stand a chance in hell against my rage. I plowed against
door, literally shattering it as I dove through. I skidded across the floor on my knees, into a room of blinding bright lights. I blinked momentarily confounded. Before I could get my bearings, I felt a breeze of air shifting next to me and I was tackled to the ground.
I could hear growling in my ear and felt cold pressure against my neck. I was yanked backwards from neck alone, gagging. The baton slipped from my finger, sliding across the floor. My hands reached up to grip the thin metal around my neck, in attempt to free myself.
This fucker was strong. I could felt tears forming in my eyes, as the air was pushed from my throat. My vision swayed. I bucked but my assailant held fast. Anger shot through me.
Oh fuck no.
I shoved backwards hard, slamming into the the one who held me. All I could hear was the sound of breaking glass.
I could barely hear him breath but I heard him none the less. I slammed again and again. Then rolled forward trying to unhinge him from my back. I realized at this point that it was a chain that was wrapped around my neck. This guy was good. He had a death grip on my neck. I was starting to see spots. I glanced wildly around the room and spotted an empty exam table….blood on it with black scorch marks.. It would do.
I ran forward it slammed into as hard as I could swinging myself sideways, while throwing my head back. I felt my skull make contact with flesh and I ripped the chain free, gasping. I scrambled up, rushing towards the baton, when he caught me again. He gripped my ankle yanking my feet out from under me. I fell hard onto my chest, grunting.
I growled, turning on him like a caged animal. I slammed myself into him and we fell backwards crushing the exam table all together. It was then that reality swarmed in front of me. A figure from the past.
"Leo?"
He glared back up at me…but his face was scarred. He was more red then green now. His fleshed burned and peeling. My hands dunged into almost raw flesh. What had they done to him? I could see his blue eyes underneath it all. The same eyes I could recall in my dreams. It was him. It was my brother. My leader.
He didn't recognize me.
He kicked out, with a scream and I flung up into the air and back. As I landed on my shell, he was already on his feet, hunching on his heels. He gave a low growled, springing at me like a caged wild beast.
Shit.
I rolled quickly and he landed where I once was, hissing. I got to my feet. "Leo! Leonardo! It's me!" I shouted, but his eyes just narrowed, launching at me again.
I darted out of way. Why the hell didn't he know me?! "Leo! It's me, Raphael…." I got cut off by a square kick to the jaw. He was on top of me, his fingers digging into my neck.
We rolled across the floor and I ended up next to the baton, I looked up into my brother's eyes. But all I saw was animal looking back at me. I saw hatred and murder. I saw me..
My hand reached across the floor, my fingertips brushing the baton. I strained with all I hand. Reaching…..
"Leo….." I gasped as his gripped tighten. "I'm your brother…"
For a brief moment, I saw a flash in his eyes…a change…as if he may have understood, he hesitated and that was all I needed. I grabbed the baton, feeling for the button and the electricity whirled to life. I didn't give him a chance to react. I shove the tip of baton deep against the side of his neck.
There was huge flash of light and Leonardo sailed off of me, crashing to the floor. I think I may have screamed as his hands tore from my neck, leaving deep gashes. I rolled to my side quickly, but he didn't get up. I gave a shudder, breathing deeply.
I crawled across the floor, blood dripping from neck to his side. He laid there in a slump, but I could see the rise and fall of his chest. I felt relief.
I got to my knees, peering at him. What the hell? He looked like shit, but he didn't know me…maybe I looked like shit too.
I glanced around the room and realized there were a lot of chemicals everywhere. Some we had smashed on the floor during our fight. I made a face, then grabbed Leo's arm.
I wasn't sure what happened here but at this point I gave zero shits. I only had one objective now. I yanked him up and threw him over my shoulder fire man's carry style. I grabbed the baton and stood. He draped over my back, but he felt light. I headed for the door; I could hear the alarm ringing now through out the halls. I bared my teeth. Heat ran through me once again. They would all get what they had coming to them. I gripped my brother' arm, shifting him.
"We are getting the fuck out of here."
